Need urgent on installation of Spatial and R12 data in the same server
Hi
This is Hanumantha. I am getting problem with Geo Spatial data type objects manuplating from Apps.
Geo spatial data is installed in Navteq database in one server. R12 application is installed in another server. Through data base link in APPS, I am able to access Navteq tables data, procedures etc. But I can't manuplate the objects data like Varrays and object types from apps throgh db link from navteq.
Instead created the procedure which will decompose the object type to "primitive types" (number, date, varchar2,.) which is accessing from apps. But hz_locations , Geometry column will have data type SDO_GEOMETRY and I cant update with primitive data type (number, date, varchar2..).
Kindly please help us reconstucting to the SDO_GEOMETRY object using primitive data types.
OR
Is there any possiblity of installing Navteq database(GeoSpatial data) and R12 applications data together in the one server.
Could please any help on the above as soon as possible?

yes it is possible to install SQL2000 and SQL2005 on same server but there are certain special considerations that you should be aware of

I've attached a VI that I am using to acquire amplitude from Spectrum analyzerse. I tried to connect amplitude ouput to the VI Write Characters To File.vi and Write to Spreadsheet File.vi. Unfortunately when I run continual this VI without interruption, labview ask me many time to enter a new file name to save a new value.
So, How can I do to aquire and save date in the same time and in the same file when I run continual my VI for example during 10 min.

Your VI does work perfectly. Unfortunately this not what I want to do. I've made error in my last comment. I am so sorry for this.
So I explain to you again what I want to do exactly. I want to acquire amplitude along road by my vehicle. I want to use wheel signal coming from vehicle to measure distance along road. Then I acquire 1 amplitude each 60 inches from spectrum analyzer.
I acquire from PC parallel port a coded wheel signal coming from vehicle (each period of the signal corresponds to 12 Inches). Figure attached shows the numeric signal coming from vehicle, and the corresponding values “120” and “88” that I can read from In Port vi.
So I want to acquire 1 time amplitude from spectrum analyser each 5
period of the signal that I am acquiring from parallel port.
So fist I have to find how can I count the number of period from reading the values “120” and “88” that I am acquiring from In Port (I don’t know the way to count a number of period from reading values “120” and “88”).
Here is a new algorithm.
1) i=0 (counter: number of period)
2) I read value from In Port
3) If I acquire a period
i= i+1 (another period)
4) If i is multiple of 5 (If I read 5 period)
acquire 1 time amplitude and write to the same
file this amplitude and the corresponding distance
Distance = 12*i). Remember each period of signal
Corresponds to 12 Inches).i has to take these
values: 5,10,15,20,25,35,40,45,50,55,60............
5) Back to 2 if not stop.

Can we run 11g RAC and 12c RAC in the same server?
There is a requirement to run 11g RAC and 12C RAC in the same server for a year or so and then remove 11g RAC?
Current setup:
HP-unix 3 node RAC on 11g R2
4CPU
64 GB RAM
3 TB SAN storage
no ASM
Upgrade setup:
HP-unix 3 node RAC on 12C RAC
8CPU
128 GB RAM
6+ TB SAN storage
ASM
We are asked to use the same server and upgrade Hardware to install and run 12C RAC. What are the implications of running RAC in the same server/nodes?

Problems with Sent mail and multiple accounts on the same server
I have 2 different email accounts that are on the same server. Regardless of the account from which I send the email, all of the sent messages end up in the same sent folder. Is there a way to force the sent messages to go into their correct Sent folder?
In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. With that folder open, do Edit > Select All (⌘A), then Edit > Copy (⌘C), and paste it in your reply to this post, to let me see the names of the files and folders present at the root level of the Mail folder.
Before actually posting that information, you may edit it so that the file/folder names do not reveal any details you wish to keep private, e.g. you may replace any real username with "username" to hide your real email address if you wish; similarly, you may disguise any domain names you don't want to be revealed. Try to be consistent in how you disguise those details, though, as we may need to refer to them in subsequent posts.
Now, go to ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/. With that folder open, repeat the process to let me see the names of the files and folders it contains. Again, you may disguise any mailbox names you wish to keep private. Be careful to not alter any suffixes, though.
Finally, for the two accounts involved in the problem, locate the account folders within ~/Library/Mail/ -- their name begins with the account type (POP, IMAP, Mac), followed by the account username and the incoming mail server. For each account folder, repeat the process to let me see the names of the files and folders it contains.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder. You can easily locate any of the folders referred to in this post by copying the file path here, doing Go > Go to Folder in the Finder, and pasting the file path there. -

If you are planning to install an infrastructure as part of your application server, you might run into a port conflict for the TNS listener. The easiest way of solving this is to move the non-infrastructure database listener to another port.
A number of things like these are handled automatically in later releases. You do know that 9.0.2 is old and desupported, right?

FMS 3.5 on Server 2012 R2 and with Wowza on the same server
Hi there,
Is it possible to have my old FMS 3.5 on the same server as I have Wowza 3.6 installed?
The server is windows Server 2012 R2.
I have installed the FMS, but it does not start up after installation, and the bat-files cannot start/stop the service either. It doesn't make a difference if I go to Services to start them up manually, the sample files still doesn't work.
Any suggestions?

Branch Distribution Points no longer exist in Configuration Manager 2012 and above.
I'm assuming you want to install additional roles on an existing server that is currently only acting as a Distribution Point and the answer is yes, this is possible, but it depends on which other roles you want to install and there will probably be some
prerequisites needed.

Historical and transaction data in the same tables creates perf problems
Our Oracle based application is slow partly due to the fact that historical data are kept in the same table as transactional data. For example records about deceased patients, patients treated 5 years ago...etc, are kept in the one and only one patient table, which is needed to run the daily process of the hospital. So gradually all our major tables PATIENTS, CHARTS, NAMES, APPOINTMENTS have grown very large and since most of our SQL join all these tables at the same time, then all screens and reports run very slowly. I have introduced the idea that we should split all these tables in two: historical PATIENTS data, and CURRENT PATIENTS data...the same with all the others. A nice system would first search in the smaller transactional tables, which would run faster being smaller, and if no data found, then fallback to the historical tables. But this would require programming. From what I have read mateialized view could solve part of our problem. We could have views containing for example only one year worth of the data, and I guess any changes could be later replicated in the base table. What I dont know is what to do if we cannot find the patient in the matealized views ? Do I need to fallback to another SQL which will search in the initial base tables ? Anyway we can implement this without programming ? Tx.

Created and modified dates all the same
Clock is displaying the correct time but for all types of files the created and modified dates are all displaying the one date. Any suggestions?

How can I save images and text data to the same file?
I have been looking at ways to do this for a while. My main VI saves the raw data to a text file which the users then import to Excel and plot. I am trying to simplify this process and have been looking at ways to accomplish this task. I want to be able to save the raw data to a file and then save the Labview graph as well. This will eliminate the tedious task of importing the raw data into Excel and plotting it. I can save the raw data to its own file and I can use the Get Image method for the graph and save it to its own file. I am currently using the .png format. Is there a way of saving both to the same file ie, importing the image into Excel or Word etc. Before I go off doing a science project I wanted to see if anyone else had experience completing this task and had any recommendations. well ther are a couple of ways. You could use the standard report generation VI's and make a complete report with the image of the graph embedded into the report with the raw data or you could use activeX and control excel thru LV and put the raw data into excel directly and have excel graph the data without any user interaction. I have a number questions that I want to know the average of all the before and after data to compare them, how do I set this up in a form in FormsCentral? Here is an example of what I want to do - the green bar is "before" and blue is "after"
This isn't something that you can set up in FormsCentral. It's possible to something similar with a form you create in Acrobat and use with FormsCentral, but there is no sort of built-in graphing control. The bar graph could be implemented with some JavaScript that controls annotations or fields (buttons) and perhaps some text fields.

How did you solve the SSO more specifically? You created an URL iView from scratch and assigned it to a specific system? Did you also to maintain any parameters or how did you get pass the login screen? Does that work automatically?
Furthermore, did you use the link ".../b2b/b2b/init.do" as URL or some other? Because I once saw one ending differently...
