Needed: overview of all Forms function numbers
I need an overview of all Forms function numbers to be able to map functionality available in Forms 4.5 to Forms 10g.
If i look at the *.res file it seems that a number of Forms function numbers are no longer present. For example numbers > 999. Is this correct? Or are they just missing in the res-file?
For example, in Forms 4.5 it was possible to map a key(combination) to "activate" the ok-button in a LOV or alert. Now, only pressing "enter" or "Alt-O" are possible, but no customisable keys.

There are less Forms function numbers listed in the *.res file available with 10g than in the res file of Forms 4.5.
Quite a number of key-mappings to activate certain Forms function numbers seem to be no longer available. I was therefore wondering if the list in the 10g res-file is compleet or if some overview of all Forms function numbers is available so i can extend this file myself.
p.s. i do not mean Forms build-in functions. The Forms Help does not support any information on the Forms function numbers mentioned in the res-file (for details on what these are, see the "description" in the header of the 10g res-file).

I am moving to Alice Springs, Australia, this summer from the U.S. I would like to get the new iPad to use while traveling back and forth from the U.S. to Australia, and within Australia. How can I found out if I will be able to access all the functionality of the iPad in Alice? Will I need to purchase a local plan of some sort? I have never owned an Apple product before -- I'm a newby!
Aside form the limitation of LTE to the 700MHz and 2.1GHz bands (which rules out LTE in Europe I gather, at least as it stands now) the new iPad should let you use a GSM 3g/2g/edge network anywhere. The CDMA Verizon model will only be able to use it's native CDMA radio band in the USA (that radio will be locked to Verizon), but it's international GSM radio is the same as the AT&T model.
Keep in mind though that by far the cheapest option when abroad is to take advantage of free wifi as much as possible (well, that is always the cheapest option, since it is free). I know several people who have taken their wifi-only iPads and iPad2s to Europe and said they did not find the lack of 3G really inconvenient at all as most towns had plenty of free or cheap wifi access all over the place.
And in 3 years, your iPad will be at least 2-3 generations behind, LTE will have already been replaced by 5G or whatever the next new generation of cellular ends up being named (and the "young" kids will be wondering what the heck 3G even means or meant - dang that stuff was from the olden days!), and you can pitch that ancient piece of technology and start things all over again -

i am a complete novice at this however this is what I want to achieve.
i Have a paper duplicate report sheet that I want to get electronically, I want to be able to add sequential numbers to each report and be able to email the report to the client from a email field in the form
so far I have so I have created the pdf form, I have a button that runs a JavaScript that will hide the submit button and then send to the clients email and to bcc myself so I have a copy of the report also. This has been tested and works
i Am struggling with sequential numbering and once the form has been emailed it's un-ditable as the JavaScript has converted it to read only for emailing which is good as it can't be edited. But Is there a way on my submit button to email the report as read only and then clear all form fields in the report ready for filling with the next sequential number?
I Have had a good look sound for a resolution to this but am struggling

Please note that the Reader/Acrobat DC mobile apps (for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, etc.) have limited JavaScript support.

You may be able to make the form work as you want in the desktop version of Adobe Reader/Acrobat Reader DC. However, some functionality (e.g adding a sequence number to each PDF) will not work in the mobile apps due to the limited JavaScript support. Sorry for the inconvenience. -

I'm sorry, but I don't want to give you bad advice at this point. I don't use Numbers and I would not know how to extract a sheet from the file - which it sounds like you need to do - based on my very, very limited experience with spreadsheet files.

When I left my former employer, Pollinate Agency, I bought a MacBook Pro with Acrobat Pro (version 9 or possibly 9.5) installed from the company. I recently had a serious computer crash, and needed to get all contents erased. The support provider didn't have my product key, so could not reinstall Acrobat Pro for me. Since then, I have gotten the product key sent to me from my former employer, [ REMOVED ] So I need help in re-downloading, installing and activating the Acrobat Pro software on this computer.
Please remove the S/N immediately (I can't or would). Never post them online. As for download you can go to http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html on the right panel to get 9 pro. I am not sure there is a MAC version there, but that is the first place to go. If it is the proper version, then please back it up to CD and/or portable HD, not the system HD.

Function module to retrieve all the personnel numbers in the eval path

I want to retrieve all the personnel numbers that fall in the evaluation path.
Like if my evaluation path is "B002" ( eval path for relationship is line supervisor of ), I want a function module that retrieves all the pernrs in this wval path up to the bottom level.
if A reports to B and B reports to C and C reports to D . I want a function module to retrieve(either positions or pernrs) C, B and A when I run it for position D.

Item Level:
The item level will contain the item number, material and description, order unit, quantities, date required, unit cost, and the total amount of the line-item. The item-level will also contain the line-item text of purchase order.
Authorization:
The authorization section of the form will contain the name, telephone number, and email address of the purchasing agent.
Other:
-The Total Amount and Currency will be displayed to the right of the Authorization information.
-The layout will include sections and fields with borders. For example the Ship-To, Bill-To, and Supplier will be enclosed in rounded edge boxes. The Layout can be viewed in the Attachments section:

3.4 Data Source:

The central address management system will need to be queried when looking up the Bill To, Deliver, and Supplier addresses.
Header Text: The text to be inserted here will be pulled from the Header Text in the purchase order.
Example: Text is pulled from the Header text with the green checkmark.
If the PO Form requires additional pages, then the header information should be duplicated on the subsequent pages.

Note: These number ranges are shown as an example of what the form should like. They do not have to match up identicle to the specifications listed above.
Additional Notes for Line-Item Fields:
- Material Description will be displayed directly below the Material on the next line.
- Item Text: The Item text will be displayed if there are any item texts from the Purchase order. The text will be displayed two lines below the Material description. So there will be one line without any text. Also, the next line-item on the PO form will be displayed two lines below the item-level text; so there will be only one line with no text between the line-item with text and the subsequent line-item. Line items 020 and 030 depict this in the PO Form Outline_v1 document in the attachments section. The Line Item text will come from the Material PO text (identified below with a green checkmark) from the line-item on the purchase order as shown below.
- The Date Required Format will be MM/DD/YYYY.
- For every item in the purchase order, the program should loop through each item and check to see if the returns item box is checked (MEPO1211-RETPO). If this box is flagged on the purchase order, then the purchase order form needs to be updated with a return indicator. This indicator can be viewed on line-item 030 of the attached word document PO Form Outline (Single Page) in the Attachments section.
- The line-item fields should have the following alignment:

- If the line-items do not fit on one page, then they should continue on to subsequent pages. This section will contain the purchasing agent: The purchasing agent will be the person who created the purchase order. This section will also contain their telephone number and email address.
The first and last name of the person who created the purchase order should be displayed here. This can be looked up in the users profile. The user profile will also contain their email and telephone number.

Need to know what form is attached to a responsibility
Hi,
There is a need to know what responsibility in Oracle has access to a given form. All seeded Oracle Reports that I am aware of (Function Security Function Report, Function Security Menu Report, Function Security Navigator Report) require a responsibility be inputted into a parameter in order to run. This is not a feasible option as we have hundreds of responsibilities and we would need to manually review each output for a specific function or form. Does a report or other SQL exist where I do not have to specify a responsibility?
I have attempted different ways for a custom sql but the difficulty always lies in the exclusions because you need to look in every single menu that has been excluded whether or not a function is attached (need to look at all the submenus). This is difficult because you need to go down the entire menu tree of each excluded menu and I haven't been able to do this.
Below is the closest I have got for an sql however I am getting 207 results which I know is not correct. I'm wondering if the query when looking at the menu exclusions is not looping at all the menus that are excluded for a given responsbility? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The script for "How to retrieve list of responsibilities and associated menus" (SELECT RESPONSIBILITY_NAME, MENU_ID FROM FND_RESPONSIBILITY_VL;) isn't really giving that as it's just the one menu that is associated with that responsibility (and doesn't look at the menu exclusions).
For note, "How To get List Of Functions Which Are Setup For A Responsibility? (Doc ID 549100.1)":
I can already get a list of functions on a particular responsbility and even more so I know what menus use a particular function using the following sql:

I believe these are two links I need to look at to find what menus are associated and unassociated with a responsbility. In fnd_responsibility_vl, there is the main menu_id that says where this repsonsbility gets all of it's menus. This is where I look first in the first part of my query (b.menu_id is this link to the fnd_responsibility_vl table) :

The next link is the "unassociated" link which is the menu exclusions. I'm looking at these exclusions similar to the part above however I don't think it's looking at all of the menus defined in the menu exlusions as my list of responsbilities is more then it should be:

It needs to be able to look at the menu trees of all of the defined menus that are excluded and find any menu that has that function as defined in the first sql of this post (if it is found in the exclusions then do not show it). However I do not think it is looping through all of the menus defined in the exclusions. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

How do I Edit an Existing PDF Form Without Losing Form Functionality
I'm brand new to Acrobat but familiar and proficient with Flash, PhotoShop Premiere Pro, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Fireworks etc.
The company I work for sells office supplies. We sell 57 distinct items. We have Acrobat 9. I am designing a PDF order form with fields that can be emailed to our clients as an attachment. They fill out the form, it calculates the total, they send it back to us, we fill and ship the order. Basic and straightforward.
I can add form fields to my order/pricelist... not a problem. The question is:
Once I have brought a PDF into Acrobat and add 57+ fields and calculations, which is a time consuming process, how do I edit an item price at a later date, if someone in the company decides to make a change to our pricing?
See..., If I save the original Microsoft Excel document as a PDF, Acrobat can't edit the text for some reason. Something to do with "Renderable Text". Now if I open the PDF saved from Microsoft Excel in Adobe Illustrator, I can use the text tool to make changes. That doesn't help me... just saying. Why can't I edit "Renderable Text" with the Acrobat Text Tool? Someone in a forum stated that Acrobat is NOT a word processing program! If that is an accurate statement, it would appear that Acrobat can at least work with base PDF documents to make certain types of modifications and add functionality. Is that correct?
Here's the problem. I create a PDF with form functionality. Everything works great. The boss says, I want to change the price of the scissors. I can't change the text in Acrobat because of the "Renderable Text" nonsense. Does this mean that I have to re-apply all of the form fields and calculations to the new base PDF document every time there is a minor change? I know there has to be a simple work around. Should I upgrade to a newer version of Acrobat?
Is it possible to save the original existing form functionality as a layer or overlay to be applied to the new modified base PDF document? Kind of like so many other Adobe products do including PhotoShop, Fireworks, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Flash etc., so that all of the form functionality can be applied in one big chunk? Premiere Pro has the time-saving feature of "Paste Attributes". It's a real time saver.
It may be simpler to just direct me to a video that goes through the process of creating a PDF order form with fillable fields that multiplys quantity by unit price and totals one column.
I already created a prototype of the form in PhotoShop which can be saved as a PDF. The finished order document appearance has 95 horizontal 3px wide lines and 6 vertical 3px lines, kind of like what one might expect to see in an Excel spread sheet. The form also contains some graphics and unconventional text areas that acrobat could overlay text fields and everything would be fine.
With these great number of horizontal dividing lines, It doesn't seem practical or even possible to create the basic layout in Acrobat. As I originally stated, I'm new to Acrobat and would like suggestions for a workflow that enables easy editing of an existing PDF document with form fields. I want to avoid the monumental task of re-doing all of the fields and calculations.For what you are trying to do that is probably what you want -- Replace Pages. There are a few more issues that you need to be aware of since this is a business form. If customers are using Reader XI, it is not an issue.
On the renderable text, can you see the text list when you look at the font tab in the document properties (ctrl-D)? If not, they you do not really have fonts to edit. This may be the type of fonts you used in the original or the way in which you did the conversion to PDF. You need to have fonts that are on your system and then be sure to embed them (otherwise others may not be able to read them because of different OS or such).
As to e-mailing the form, that is fine (though there are sometimes problems with various clients and PDFs -- but usually on the sending end).
For collecting the data you may want to try a different route. For users of Reader XI, they can save the form with the data. Prior versions could not do that unless you enabled the form for Reader. However, this latter process has a 500 form use limit -- A license issue. If the data is submitted, then it does not make a difference. The folks with Reader XI can still save the form with the data, others will have to print a copy for their records.
The data can be imported to the form on your end and so you would have the exact same results as what was filled out. However, the submission process should be set up to submit to a web script for your receipt and not use mailto. The latter has problems that you have no control over due to proper operation with the mail client on the user machine. Typically the mail client must be the default and use MAPI. In any case, it is not reliable (not for business use). So submission to a web script is useful. The data in AcroForms would be of the type FDF (or possibly XFDF). If for some reason use created the form with Designer, that limit any editing in Acrobat since it is no longer a real PDF, but an XML container that Acrobat and Reader can display and interact with, but not change. Again, submission to a web script is still preferred.
For dealing with a web script and some coding for various languages, you can check out the FDF Toolkit. It has been around a while, but should still handle the CGI needs of the submission. In addition, it has tools for adding the data to a database and other typical operations for data collection. You can save the FDF files and import them to the form and deal with the data there also.
The use of Replace pages would do the job if all your form fields will still need to be in about the same location. Form fields are mark up and the pages are referred to as the document. Thus the replace pages will just original page and leave all the form fields. You will still need to go back and fix the value within the fields themselves, but that is a field edit. -
How do you create forms in numbers the same as in numbers for ios
I have a Macbook Running Maveriks 10.92 and Ipad running IOS7. I have numbers on both machines. On the Ipad there is a function that allows you to add a form to enter data from a sheet using Popups.
I can not find this function on the Macbook Pro.
All versions are the latest.Numbers for iOS supports forms.
Numbers for OS X does not support forms (yet).
Make a request for this feature using the Provide Numbers Feedback item in the Numbers menu.

Oracle Form functions and procedures in APEX, how?
I am working to recreate in APEX, already existing Read Only Forms in Oracle Forms. APEX Interactive Report functionality among other things, makes it worth while as well as targetting a different audience than the one that utilizies the Oracle Form versions. Oracle Forms versions use lots of pre and post query triggers, PLSQL Functions.
In Oracle Forms one of the places those functions can be located is in the "Program Units" section of the Form. A typical function of this sort, based on a specific Mission ID Itinerary, collects scheduled passengers last names, formats them with a comma and space after each one, into a single string that is returned and displayed as the passenger list of one row.
I have all this code written so I can move most of the main query of the Oracle Form into an Interactive Report. These functions and triggers called from within the Form, from the "Program Units" section of the Oracle Form rather than being stored in the Database schema in a package, where would they go inside APEX? Can I create a "Shortcut" in APEX and call it from the Interactive Report "Region Source"? Can I create the PLSQL function at the page level or region level of the Interactive Report? Or, is my best bet creating a package stored in the database, of all these functions and/or proecedures I may need from the original Oracle Form?

I have an Interactive Report that is currently getting 90 percent of what I want however, each row, representing a Mission may have multiple legs. When you have a problem you'll get a faster, more effective response by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:

Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.
