Needs rendering multiple times.
Hey all,
I am working on a project using HD footage. I have captured it all straight from the hardrive (tapeless camera used to shoot video) and once I put it in the timeline I render it once, like usual. But when I click away or drag another clip in, it says it must be rendered again. Everything that is. Any suggestions or settings on how I can fix this? Very urgent.

Columns in af:table rendering multiple times when filtering drop-down list

Requirement:
Data in a drop-down list on a child record needs to be filtered based on data from one or more columns in the currently selected row of the parent record.
Issue:
Drop-down lists have been successfully filtered using a couple of different methods, however, any time the data from the parent record is used to filter the data the columns in the child af:table begin to render multiple times. Navigating through the parent rows may cause the child records to have the correct number of columns displayed or multiple copies of the columns displayed.
Removing any reference to the parent view object and hard-coding values instead causes this behavior to disappear.
Each of the following methods has been tried. Each filters drop-down list data correctly and each causes apparently random extra column renders.
1. Cascading lists as per: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/mills/cascading_lists.html
2. Drop-down list based on view object that takes parameters.
3. Set where clause for drop down list in a method on the app module.
4. Set where clause for drop-down list in a new selection listener method for the af:table.
Question:
Is there a solution available that will filter the drop-down lists correctly and prevent the extra columns from being rendered?

Using AA3, do I lose any sound quality if I, from a session, render my instrument tracks and vocal to a wav file? Then come back and render my vocal harmony to that rendered file? Then come back and render a partial female vocal to that rendered file? I'm doing a song this way and am concerned about losing sound quality by doing too much rendering? Thanks.
As long as you stay with WAV files you will be fine, preferably the 32-bit variety, which Audition defaults to. Audition uses 32-bit math internally. I seriously doubt you would ever notice a problem with 24-bit WAV files but I suppose if you did 1000's of edits and saves it would eventually start to degrade.
In any case be sure to use a high sampling frequency -- 48khz would be the minimum I would consider and most people will recommend 88.2 or 96khz. Problem with those is that the files are twice as big and take twice as long to load and save. Like everything else in life, it's a tradeoff.
If you used MP3 format, on the other hand, you would see degradation every time you open and re-save a file, because Audition always has to go through the MP3 encoder when saving, which by definition produces losses and artifacts each and every time. One of these days I hope to write a macro that demonstrates this but it's one of those projects I will likely never get to...

Problem with Placements rendering multiple times
I am having a problem of portlets rendering more than once. Or more specifically,
it appears placements are rendering more than once. Anyone have this problem.
It seems to show its ugly head switching between VIEW and EDIT mode in portlets
with Backing files. Here is the only output I get.

I am getting this kind of problem while using PortalVisitorManager::movePlaceableInstances()
in my JPF code.
It seems that one call resutls in adding a single portlet many times (8 times).
The confusing part is that it should move a portlet instance from one location
to other location but it adds new instances...
did u get around with u'r problem, do u have some solution..
any clue.....

Bee_table element gets rendered multiple times
Hi Everybody,
i'm using a bee_table that holds a tableview an a treeview. For the tableview I implemented an iterator.
Now the problem is, everytime the bee_table with its elements is rendered to string another table occurs on screen.....
When i don't use the iterator this doesn't happen!
Any comments on this are appreciated!

I think it's not a problem with the bee_table, there is a problem with the iterator itself. Now, I instantiate the tableview again everytime it comes to rendering. So this is sufficient solution for me.

Need to Restrict the usage of same conditn type multiple times in same PO
Dear All
The system is allowing the usage of one condition type multiple times in the same PO line item.
We want to put restriction in such a way that "one condition type if used should not be allowed to use again for that line item.
Is there any solution for this through Configuration settings or we need to go for some enhancements?
Please suggest me the enhancements available to achieve this requirement.

I keep plugging in my iPhone to my computer, but iTunes says it does not recognize my phone and won't sync because it needs the latest version of iTunes (11.1 I believe?) to work. I have already downloaded the latest version of iTunes, and I have retried multiple times just incase and it says I already have the latest version downloaded. What can I do to make iTunes recognize my phone again?

It sounds like you have downloaded iTunes from the download site, but when you connect the phone to your computer you are prompted to update iTunes to 11.1. I would start by opening iTunes and then verifying the version that is running with this article:

On Windows
Open iTunes.
On the Help menu, click About iTunes. A window appears with scrolling text. The first text that appears displays the iTunes version (press the Space bar to freeze the text if it's moving too fast for you to read).
Also when you download the iTunes installer, you MUST double click the file that was downloaded to install it.
You can check in your Programs folder and try running the iTunes application from there to see if that works.

my iphone 3gs keeps showing the screen with the connect to itunes display, and I've restored it multiple times on different computers, but everytime it finishes restoring, it shows the display again and the computer says it needs to be restored. can anybody help me with this?
it was saying error code 1, i tried the things it said but none of it worked. now it is not showing an error code at all, it just keeps saying it needs to be restored.

Rendered Property calling managed bean Multiple Times

We have a problem within a command button in a jspx, which includes a rendered tag which references a managed bean method via EL.
e.g.
rendered="#{PERUserInfo.trainee}"
When I debug the jspx, the PERUserInfo.trainee method is called 4 times instead of once.
We have noticed similar findings when using managed bean methods via the rendered property. i.e. calls getters multiple times.
Any idea why this is happening?
We are using JDeveloper v10.1.3, JHS v10.1.3 SU1.

There can be many reasons why your bean method is called multiple times; but I would consider this perfectly normal in any JSF application considering all the lifecycles and (possible) Partial Page Rendering that happens.
The question is, by the way, more appropriate on the JDeveloper forum since it is not directly related to JHeadstart itself.

apple cinema display will not allays start

any thoughts ideas would be helpful thanksOkay, Mr. Easthills, you have an imac, but yet you mention apple cinema display....Hmmm, curious. you could try zapping the PRAM, hold down command (apple?), Option+P+R keys while rebooting mac. Hold down for 3 chimes, then let go and boot normally. I have this problem too, and I have a 20" widescreen apple cinema display(DVI connector--did I just date myself or what?),anyways, it's behaving itself now okay, but it tended to go dark right in the middle of whatever I was doing, and only unplugging the power cord to the display, and replugging in it would fix it for a while. sometimes it would happen again, and again the same solution. As to why it happens now with Yosemite, I don't know . This dear old monitor has lasted me about 8 years and it's still going just fine.. not state of the art anymore, though...

When you say reset, do you mean a reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignoring the red slider if it appears?

Need to use Value of End Date Prompt Multiple Times
I have a date field (Ex: Tablename.RDate) that needs to be entered by the user. So, I created a prompt (Begin and End Dates) that the user will enter.
I need to have a second date field (Ex: Tablename.TDate) that needs to use the entered value of the End Date from the first prompt.
(I need to check for TDate being equal to or greater than the value entered in the RDate End Date prompt. I don't want the client to enter in a begin and an ending date and then have to turn around and enter in a termination date which would be the same as the ending date).
So my question is how do I accomplish this without having a TDate prompt? How can I use the RDate Entered Ending Date prompt value multiple times in my report?
I thought about a second prompt but I don't know how to direct it to the entered value for the 'End Date'. I am fairly new at this so please go slow and be detailed with your answer if you can. I consistently receive notices on certain webpages (LA Times, NY Times) that I need to update my web browser to see the entire website. However, I have updated my software multiple times recently as a result of the messages. I have Mac OSX 10.6.8 currently. Can someone provide any guidance?

Have had to reschedule delivery multiple times -- and need to reschedule yet again
I sent the following to [email protected] which the customer service rep I spoke to on the phone said was the only way to contact someone higher up in customer service:

As you can see from the email below, I was expecting to have a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator delivered to my home today. I did not receive a call last night, so I called this morning to find out my two hour window. I was told I didn't get a call because it was in the system with a Feb 13 delivery date.
This is the fourth time I've had to reschedule delivery and I am very frustrated. I had made special arrangements for my husband to be home today for the delivery. He needs to be here to check the water hook up. Given his work schedule, arranging a day that works for him is very difficult to do. Today was the perfect day.
I have rescheduled the delivery for Wednesday. I have asked for the delivery to be as late as possible -- 6 PM or after would be ideal. Given this is the fourth time I am working to schedule this delivery, I would appreciate it if you would contact the local BestBuy delivering this refrigerator and get it on their schedule for Wed, 6 PM or later.
BestBuy's 12 hour delivery window which is in place until 9PM the night before when customers are finally given a 2 hour window is very difficult to work with. It is not at all customer friendly. At least a 4 hour window from the onset, which is also difficult but what other companies do and better than a 12 hour window, would be much preferred. I would encourage BestBuy to go back to this.

Having such a major appliance be rescheduled for delivery multiple times would cause quite a hassle, especially if you have a difficult work schedule to work around. It is disheartening to hear that we have been unable to deliver this unit in a manner that has been simple and pleasant for you.
Our delivery agent's schedule isn't fully determined until the day of service as our customer's needs may change prior to the delivery date. These routes are then best optimized geographically to fit the appointments scheduled for the day. This can make specific time slot requests difficult to accommodate; however, if the delivery is coming from a store, you may be able to pay for a particular time frame as you mentioned.
With that said, I presently see that you are scheduled for delivery on 1/31/15. I apologize if this has not been the most ideal experience for you, and for any hassle you may have experienced. Please feel welcome to follow up with us after your delivery or reach out to us with any questions you may have.

If it's an app then does it allow you to make in-app purchases within it ? If it does then you can turn off in-app purchases via Settings > General > Restrictions on your device.
