Negative values in inventory
Hi All,
I'm negative values in inventory, what all i did is,
1) At BI side i loaded data for BX and compressed the request with out selecting the NO MARKER UPDATE
2) After loading BF i compressed the request with selecting the NO MARKER UPDATE
3) Then i unchecked the NO MARKER UPDATE.
Now only first two requests are compressed, is it ok? how about delta loads of BF?
Kindly help me solving the issue,is the above steps are right? if so why im getting negative values?
Regards,
Yunus
Hi Yunus,
BX is used to initialize the stock not for the historical movements.
Initialize the stock is mandatory after that anyway you need the delta movements to be happened so BF is also required, if you don't want to load historical movements then you load only Delta loads but for both of them BF is the data source.
check this link for inventory
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/93ed1695-0501-0010-b7a9-d4cc4ef26d31
For movements of the material price you use 0processkey,
Transaction key 51
Revaluation through a material price change (for example, with transaction MR21) and the debit/credit indicator = DEBIT.
like that there are some keys 52, 151 and 152
To know more about these check the OSS note 492828

Negative values in Inventory report
Dear Guys,
When we are doing BW Inventory, we are facing one problem. I have searched previous topics. There some guy gave the same problem. But there is no answer. I am giving the details as per his words:
We have been struggling to reload our Material Movements cube (0IC_C03). We have been following the SAP documentation titled 'How to handle inventory management scenarios in BW'.
Our initial loads (Stock Opening Balance, Movements Init, Revaluations Init) have all been successful and validation looks good. The problem is that when the first delta UPDATE runs we end up having many negative inventory quantities appearing. We are not sure what we could be doing wrong.
Compression settings are as follows
1) Run stock opening balance (2LIS_03_BX)
2) Run statistical setup for 4/3 only for Revaluations and Movements (2LIS_03_BF, 2LIS_03_UM)
(Compress with Marker option NOT CHECKED)
3) Load Stock infoPackage 2LIS_03_BX with 'Opening stock balance checked ' (ie: not full update)
(Compress with marker option NOT CHECKED)
4) Run delta init for Movements
(Compress delta init with marker option CHECKED)
5) Run delta init for Revaluations
(Compress delta init with marker option CHECKED)
6) Setup job control in logistics cockpit
7) Run delta update for Movements
Compress delta with marker option NOT CHECKED
8) Run delta update for Revaluations
Compress delta with marker option NOT CHECKED
The issue seems to occur with steps 7 and 8. The initial time we do these steps we get zero records and everything looks good. Then the next day the same steps occur in our nightly process chain and then the data is bad with negative values.
Any ideas what we could be doing wrong?
Thanks!
Regards,
Vivek.VHi Vivek,
I had exactly the same problem.
In my case the issue was with the configuration of material movements in R3
In the R3 IMG goto Materials Management/IM & Phys Inventory/Movement Types/Copy, Change Movement Types execute
Select movement type (enter)
select all Movement Types say 101 to 901
Look for column header "Stat. Relevant" and make sure they are set to 2 or 3. If they are set blank the movements are not picked up by the extractors -

Inventory Management Negative Values
Hello Experts -
I'm working on an inventory management report and we're in BI 7.0.
In the report, the valuated stock quantity is a non-cumulative key figure with inflow as receipt stock qty and outflow as issue stock qty.
In my transformation, I'm taking care of the process keys and multiplying by -1 when the keys are 100, 101, 104, 105, 106, 110. I'm doing that for qty as well as for $ figures.
But when I look into valuated stock qty in my report, I'm seeing negative values for movement type 602 which is a return. Earlier this was a positive value.
For movement type 601 which is a sales, I'm seeing positive values which used to be a negative value.
Basically, the figures got reversed even though I'm multiplying by -1 only on one set of process keys such as 100, 101, 104, 105, 106, 110.
Is it ok to have negative figures when dealing with movement types?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As always, points will be granted.
Thanks!Hi,

Need negative quantity non-inventory items on Credit Memo
Version: (2007A)
Description of requirements: (Please provide a detailed description)
Our customer issues many invoices with a negative quantity line item for a miscellaneous non-inventory item. These non-inventory items are used to reduce the amount of the invoice regarding miscellaneous credits to their customers. These are not discounts.
When the customer wants to credit these invoices, they canu2019t create a Credit Memo based on the invoice because SAP wonu2019t allow this if there are line items with negative amounts.
When they create a credit memo not based on an invoice, they arenu2019t allowed to enter a negative quantity for a line item as they are for an Invoice. They are forced to create a credit memo not based on an invoice the inventory item line items and an invoice or Journal Entry for the negative quantity line item to debit back the miscellaneous line amount.
As an example:
Invoice line item one for inventory item: qty one, price 100,line total $100.00
Invoice line item two non-inventory item misc credit: quanity -1, price 10, total -$10.00
Invoice Total $90.00
In Order to provide the correct credit amount, they have to create a Credit Memo not based on an invoice for line item one, qty one, price 100 u2013 value -100 and an invoice for the non-inventory item for qty one, price 10 - value 10.00.
This creates a net credit for the customer of 90.00
This looks ridiculous to their customers when they see these transactions on their statements, creates extra work for the users and there is no link between the three documents.
By using inventory items for these miscellaneous credits, they can assign a sales revenue of their choice. They have multiple sales accounts and the GL posting is determined by the item group for the item. By assigning the desired item group to these non-inventory items, they can control which sales account is updated on their marketing documents when using these non-inventory items.
If they were to use the Freight items, they would need a separate freight setup entry for combination of item group and miscellaneous credit. Because they have so many Item Groups and types of credits, they would need a great many separate Freight Charges to choose from.
All of the above pertains to all of our customers. This customer has a custom add-on and their marketing documents are all created from custom objects. They hit a button on the custom sales contract screen and an invoice is created. When they hit another button on the screen, the selected invoice is credited. They have legally binding contracts for fixed quantities to be shipped, so we decrease the quantity shipped when creating an invoice and decrease the quantity shipped when a credit memo is created. The contract is fulfilled when the exact quantity contracted for has been shipped. Because the credit memo fails, we canu2019t update the custom objectu2019s remaining to be shipped, rendering it inaccurate from that time forward. (reducing the quantity shipped is part of the Credit Memo creation process).Creating Credit Memos and Invoices from the interface fixes the inventory count, customer balance, etc., but we have no way of fixing the sales contractu2019s quantity shipped & remaining to be shipped or linking the contracts to the documents created from the interface.
Business needs: (Please describe the impact on your business, if the functionality is not realized)
Examples: (Please describe a typical example, how the functionality should work.)
Credit Memos should allow negative quantities and line total amounts for non-inventory items, the same way that A/R Invoices do, so that credit memos can be based on invoices that have negative quantity non-inventory line items.
Current Workaround: (Please describe the workarounds you are using at the moment)
Please see above
Proposed solution: (Please suggest how the new functionality should work)
Credit Memos should allow negative quantities and line total amounts for non-inventory items, the same way that A/R Invoices do.Hi Sean......
System is behaving properly as per its logic. Infact it does same in all the previous or upcoming versions.
If you have Item Type GRPO for Non Inventory Item it does not create any accounting but you can see the same during AP invoice.
GRPO for such type is only optional. For further clarification you can discuss this with your CA what he suggests. But i suggest you to raise AP invoice also for getting Account effect. Just see doing this in test DB you get your answer......

Negative Values for Stock Quantity in BI
Dear Experts,
I have a report based on Inventory Management Multiprovider which is executed to check the Valuated Stock Quantity for single day input entry. ( Valuated Stock Qty is a non cumulative Key figure with Inflow as Quantity Received into Valuated Stock and outflow as Quantity Issued from Valuated Stock )
So Valuated Stock Qty for a particular day = (Quantity Received into Valuated Stock till that day) - (Quantity Issued from Valuated Stock till that day). So i think, checking the cube data in BI will not help to resolve the issue.
Issue: : When I execute the report in BI for some dates I am getting Negative Values for Valuated Stock Quantity which is wrong output.
Can this issue be resolved by filling set up tables and loading it to BI, say for last month?
Could you please suggest any other solutions available?
Also it will be helpful if you could explain what needs to be analyzed in ECC side (with T Codes)
Thanks in advance
VinodHi Vinod,
try these transactions on the ECC side:
MMBE to view stock of a material
MB51 to view all material documents for your selection (i.e. material)
The business content stock reporting in BW is mainly using datasource 2LIS_03_BF for movements and 2LIS_03_UM for revaluations. For this to work you will have to have all material documents loaded into your cube.
Also have a look at this How To paper if you haven't yet.

Hi all
Is there any setting to enable posting Purchase Order in negative value.
This is possible in AP Invoice.
Kedalene ChongHi,
There is no such settings to make negative PO.
Yes possible with AP invoice which reduces inventory and vendor balance.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Sapians,
While running MC.9 report we are getting negative value for a particular stock even when there is a positive stock. But in MB5B we are getting the correct output.
By debugging we found that there is a negative value in S032 table. But we could not understand how we got negative value in S032.
Could any one through some light on where it could went wrong?
Thanks,
Sukumaran.EHi Sukumaran,
Negative stocks in your case is due to inconsistencies in the Info structure tables.
The report from MC.9 is calculated on runtime, taking the current stock position from stock database tables and adjusting the goods receipts and issues backwards. The goods movement data are from the info-structure tables. If there are inconsistencies in this data, you get negative stock figures or different figures compared to MB5B report. (MB5B runs the same way but uses MSEG table instead of ifo structure tables). This explanation is for understanding the cause of the problem.
The remedy is, updating the info structure table. This update is for correcting the data in info-structure tables. You can delete the entries in these tables and re-build them. It has to be done during a period when there are no material movement postings happening - like after office hours or holidays.
You can refer to SAP note 79083 for detailed step by step procedure for updating info structure tables.
Hope you are able to correct the inconsistencies!!

Value of inventory after Goods Issue, before Goods Receipt for open order
Dear Experts,
Raw materials R72 and R82 are required to produce Semifinished Product S10.
Semifinished product S10 is required to produce Fnished product F20
On 10th August 2011, I created and release a Process Order for material S10 copying component materials R72 and R82.. Goods issue for component materials R72 and R82 were done for this process order using tcode MIGO (mvt type 261).
It takes four to five days to properly blend components R72 and R82 to obtain S10.
It means Goods Receipt for this process order will be done on 14th or 15th August when this blending has been completed.
Management suddenly issues a directive that stock take should be carried out in the plant on the 12th August 2011, and my process order is still open and cannot be closed ( or goods receipt cannot be done) because blending is yet to be completed.
Please how do I take care of this scenario/situation since Goods Issue has been done already?
How will the Accountants see or get the correct value of inventory? When I run WIP Calculation for my Process Order, what will be the effect ? I mean what accouts are updated by WIP Calculation within a period (not across a perion or at period end)?
GI values issued to the Process order will come into WIP GL .( Since your client want to know the stock take should be carried out in the plant on the 12th August 2011- we are doing WIP calculation)
> After this WIP Calculation is run, and say about 2days later, Goods Receipt for this process order is to be posted, what steps am I suppose to carry out?
After GR Made, Run a WIP calculation again for the order so that The WIP from the GL account will get reduced ,now WIP= (GI value + confirmation ) -(GR Value),
Check in DEV system before doing in PRD,
On Month end, do the variance calculation and do the settlement -
Stock Posting List - Negative Value when Different Currency in PO
Hi experts,
We would like your help on the following scenario.
A Purchase Goods Receipt PO and a Purchase Invoice are added in SAP 9.0, on the same date, in a different currency from the system's currency; system's is Euro and Purchase documents are added in JPY (Japanese xen), i.e. 300 JPY. When checking the "Stock Posting List" report for a number of goods that were purchased with the above documents, the report presents the line of the Goods Receipt PO with the value of 270 JPY, and the line of the Purchase Invoice with a negative value, i.e.-15 Euro.
Has anyone faced the same issue?
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,
Vassilis KorolisBoth queries have the default value of "Only Posted Values for Navigation".
As I was looking at this, I did realize the following though.
Remember, I mentioned that my zcurrency_mand field has a Reference Characteristic of 0currency.
Query 1: The key figure that is being converted is tied to 0currency in the back end. (this is the query that works).
Query 2: The key figure that is being converted is tied to 0inv_curr in the back end.
Both of the currency conversions are using zcurrency_mand. Should query 2 be using a new variable similar to zcurrency_mand, but with a Reference Characteristic of 0inv_curr?
If the answer is yes, I tried creating ZINV_CURR_MAND with Reference Characteristic of 0inv_curr, but am getting the following error when I try to save the changes to Query 2
[E117(BRAIN)] Errors: Variable ZINV_CURR_MAND2 is not permitted for the target currency.

How to enter negative value in a currency field
Hi Experts,
Please help me how to allow to enter negative value in a field on report selection.
I created a currency field on a report selection using PARAMETERS.
I can enter positive value in the field. But, I cannot enter negative value.

I know I can place check ON at "with sign" option of the field in case I create the screen by myself.
However, I cannot do it on screen 1000 created by report program.

Apex 3.2 SVG Chart - How to plot Stacked Bar With Negative Values ?
Currently Apex 3.2 Flash Chart (AnyChart 3.x) does not support Stacked bars with negative values.
I try with SVG Stacked bars with positive values only, chart ploting works fine. When I add a new series with negative values (i.e -1) and I get a blank Chart region with no error.
Based on this statement from Apex's documentation:
*"AxisLine Indicates zero on charts that have negative values."*
I appreciate your help on how to translate this statement into action ?
(i.e how to override .Axisline class in CSS section ?)
Thank you very much for your time.User614143,
try to add the minumm negative value (but positive) to the parameter for the axis.
e.g. show value+3000 (assuming -3000 is the minimum value)
If you don't have a limitation for the negative values, it doesn't work. (or try to calculate first the most negative value in a before header process)
hope this helps.

Runtime error while putting negative value in to table control field
Hi Guys,
I am working on a Table Control which has Currency
and quantity fields. In PBO when the program is trying put a
negative value then It is going into a runtime error.
The Error description is,
Runtime errors DYNPRO_FIELD_CONVERSION
Error analysis
The program flow was interrupted and could not be resumed.
Program "SAPMZDBPRJCTEDFIG" tried to display fields on screen 0100. However, an
error occurred while this data was being converted.
How to correct the error
A conversion error occurred while the program was trying to display data on the screen.
The ABAP output field and the screen field may not have the same format.
Some field types require more characters on the screen than
in the ABAP program. For example, a date field on a screen needs
two characters more than it would in the program. When attempting to
display the date on the screen, an error will occur that triggers the
error message.
Screen name.............. "SAPMZDBPRJCTEDFIG"
Screen number............ 0100
Screen field............. "ZDB_PROJCTD_FIG-ZWORKDONE"
Error text............... "FX015: Sign lost." Further data:
I have tried increase the screen field length to more than the ABAP program field length and the scrren field name is of data type which supports signed value.
But still I am getting the error.the error is 'Sign is lost'.
I would appreaciate if you can help me with this.
Correct answer will be rewarded.
Thank you in advance,
