Network email messages
Since I bought a new device (8310) I tried different versions of the desktop software. The phone comes witt 4.2.2 but I installed 4.3 and lastly 4.6 a week or so ago.
I keep receiving a ton of messages everyday from the address "[email protected]" with the subject "RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2" and a warning saying "This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerryhandheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond tothis message - it will be processed by the server".
The fact is that the messages are pilling in my inbox and are not processed.
Do anybody know what´s happening ?
Should I keep the messages (what´s a mess) or can I delete them ?
How can I stop them ?
Can anybody help me ?
Thanks a lot
FQ

Email attachments - Network Access Message, Error Code: 500
Hi!
'''Can't open or save attachments from my email''' (after upgrade to Firefox 6.0). By clicking on them, the tab with an error comes (Error Code: 500):
'''Network Access Message: The page cannot be displayed'''
'''Next info:''' If i simply add an 's' to http:// in the error tab link (manually rewrite the adress to https://), '''it works''' and the attachment opens (jpg, pdf, sound file or all others) or can be saved! (comes the dialog window if I want to open or save it).
I am using XP, Mozilla Firefox 6.0.
With IE the same problem.
With Firefox 5.0 came this problem only from time to time, vanished mostly by refreshing the site.
Under W7 on my laptop no problems occured.
I tried to search in the Mozilla support, forums, google and in the Firefox network and proxy setup, but i can't figure it out.
Thanks for advices!Dear Wang Chao:
I checked http://localhost:8080/flashaccessserver/flashaccess/license/v1?tenant=sampletenant .It seems alright ,as below:
License Server is setup correctly. Total successful requests = 0 requests in 0 ms. Average response time = 0 ms. Average throughput = 0 requests per sec Verifying tenant 'flashaccessserver/sampletenant'... Schema ... Valid. Credentials ... Valid. IPhone user getting BB network sync messages - wants them to stop
Hello everyone. Just signed up here, happy user of Blackberry Tour 9630 with Bell Mobility in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for nearly two years.
HOWEVER, my current need for assistance has absolutely NOTHING to do with my Blackberry model, my carrier, or my OS version.
For the past 6 years, I have been providing Email gateway services with spam and malware filtering to several small corporate clients. At the end of March 2011, one user (also a high-level company admin at one of my client domains) has begun receiving messages from a range of network addresses, as follows:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
All those messages have a subject similar to this:
RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2
The message body begins with "This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server."
The problem is that this person is using an iPhone, not a BB, and he is receiving these messages both on his iPhone and on his Windows desktop (in Office Outlook).
He also tells me he never had a Blackberry, and that he DID NOT ask for these messages to be sent to him. For sure, he might very well have ACTUALLY done something that caused this, but he cannot recall what it was. One of his employees lost her Blackberry just before going on maternity leave for a year, starting in March, and he did mention doing something (vaguely remembered) related to that loss (and replacement).
Be that as it may. The fact is that he does not have a Blackberry, but an iPhone (and apparently NEVER had a Blackberry). Under those circumstances, is there some way to register a request that these messages no longer be sent, by either Emailing or phoning someone at RIM (or any other way)? So far, I am sending hundreds of these messages per week to the spam quarantine, from which they have to be purged periodically.
By the way, I just signed up to Twitter earlier today (something which I was in no hurry to do), just so I could attempt to obtain help from the "BlackBerryHelp" Twitter channel. Well, I posted the following tweet 2 hours ago, and so far I have received no response:
"@BlackBerryHelp iPhone user getting msgs from "[email protected]", wants them filtered. How do we stop them at source?"
So much for "Official Twitter support account of Research In Motion. We’re staffed from 9-8 EST Monday -Friday and 9-6 Saturday. ". What kind of response time should I be expecting? Am I too impatient?
Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to shed some light on this problem and its solution...Normally that message comes about from having installed the Blackberry Desktop Software on the PC in an incorrect manner, which the link below will show how to correct it. I am guessing someone (might not have been this user, could have been his secretary or another employee who does have a BlackBerry) installed the BlackBerry Desktop Software on his PC with the "redirector" option checked, which is most normally the origin. See below.
Article ID: KB04254 Network@etp email messages are received on the BlackBerry smartphone and email application
Article ID: KB21849 Network@etp messages are received in the email application and on the BlackBerry smartphone
As far as the twitter help accout, yea, I'm thinking two hours response time might be a bit high in expectations. But doesn't matter, the above links should solve the issue.
And, aside from collecting the messages in a spam folder, you could just blacklist them on the users' email server, and they won't even reach the server.

Why can't I use links within my email messages? When a link is clicked, nothing happens--it doesn't go to that specific website.
HI Ana ...
I had FB working again two days ago, and yesterday in mid-serve Safari just "couldn't find the server" once more...
That's a different issue...
First, if you can just use English, open System Preferences > Language & Text then select the Language tab. Drag English to the top of the list then restart your Mac.
Now for the server issue. Try using Open DNS. That shold help the "couldn't find the server" issue...
Open System Preferences / Preferences then select the Network tab. Click the Advanced tab then click the DNS tab.
Click +
Enter these numbers exactly as you see them here.
208.67.222.222
Click +
208.67.220.220
Then click OK.
Try accessing Facebook on Safari now. -
Hi
I just got this message yesterday: Your Emitac Mobile Solutions LLC email service is deactivated, Email messages are no longer being sent to your Blackberry device.
And since then, i havent being able to set up more than one email and i subscribed for 4.
I have rebooted\,, sent service books and hard set the phone so many times.
What should i do?
Thank youHi and Welcome to the Community!
From your post, I cannot quite tell if you did all of this, in exactly this way. Hence, with a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
Good luck!

How does one perform mailbox to mailbox moving of email messages w/ Messaging 3.X?
How does one perform mailbox to mailbox moving of email messages with Messaging 3.X?
<P>
In an ISP environment there are times that a user changes his
login name (his unique identifier in the ISP's network, also used as
his email address) from one value to another. It is very convenient
for the ISP to be able to move messages from the user's old mailbox
to the user's new mailbox when this situation occurs.
<P>
With Messaging Server 2.0, this was easily accomplished by simply
moving the mail messages on disk. However, with the added complexity
of Messaging 3.0 where there are back links, reference counts, etc.,
associated with mail messages, moving files on disk from one mailbox
to another is no longer valid.
<P>
The MoveUser utility, which is new in MS 3.X, moves messages from
one messaging server to another or from one maildrop path to another.
Can this utility be used to move messages from one mailbox to another?
<P>
The answer is yes, it can. The user should be aware that if
duplicate email message id's exist in the mailbox before the
move, the messages related to the duplicate message id's will
be duplicated in the target mailbox.
<P>
See the online documentation contained with the product or the
Messaging 3.X Administrator's Guide for exact syntax.Hi
If I understand you correctly and if you are using Apple Mail version 2.0 or above navigate to /Users/Home folder. The Home folder is the one with the house icon, within that folder you will see a Library folder, within that folder you’ll see a Mail folder, within that folder you’ll see a folder that begins with POP followed by your name, within that folder will be a folder called INBOX.mbox, within that folder is a Messages folder. All the mail that you see within the application are there. They will be numbered and have a file suffix of .emlx. You can move these wherever you like.
If you are using Entourage X, or Entourage 2004 you can easily multiple select mail messages, addresses etc from within the application and drag whatever you’ve selected to wherever you like.

Why are programming symbols suddenly interspersed in my email messages?
About 3 weeks ago, I began getting what look like programming strings interspersed in email messages from one source. No one else who gets email from that source gets them. No other email is affected. They are a combination of <BR> <BR> and strings of letters and symbols sometimes every other word or full paragraphs of these.
Did you try a different encoding (View > Character Encoding) ?

Adding a rounded dropshadow effect behind a HTML email message
Hello. I am looking to add a rounded corner box with a dropshadow effect behind a HTML email message. I got it working great in gmail with four corner images and repeating background slice for the sides and top and bottom. The problem is background images do not work in Hotmail and a few other email clients. Anyone have any suggestions as how to achieve this? Thanks.
Ah, "the client wants it". That factor has led to more bad design decisions over the years than I can count.
The client needs to understand that there are literally hundreds of millions of email users with hundreds of millions of different settings for their accounts, and there is now way imaginable in heaven or on earth to FORCE all desired styling and content to appear in every possible viewer's email when they open it. On a local network maybe, but not the entire world. So, ultimately they're asking you to design something that far less than tenth of one percent of possible recipients may (not will, but may) ever see.
It's a bit like asking you to paint an elaborate mural inside a closet and then they lock the door and break the key off in the knob. You did a great job on it but no one will ever see it.
I don't work for Microsoft or Google, or Yahoo or Opera (or any of the hundreds of thousands of proprietary hosted email services out there), so I couldn't venture even a wild a guess as to how to force their servers to display content for a single insistent client somewhere.
I'm sure this has been tried unsuccessfully many many times in the past, but I seriously doubt it's been "done" universally. I've seen a few dozen people here who've tried it and tried it, and eventually gave up because they realized just what I just laid out... was true.
If the client still insists, politely explain to them that they are defeating their purpose in adding all the fancy effects because of the minute number of people who will ever see them. Invisibility is not the purpose of promotion, and if promotion is the purpose of the emails, making them invisible won't help. -
I cannot compose, reply or forward any email messages in gmail. Using Firefox 14.0.1. The page continuously showing “Loading” at the top.
It doesn't happen with all my gmail accounts, just 2 out of 3.
I’ve read the suggested solutions to change the dom.storage config setting to true, but the setting was already set to true. Any suggestions?Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

I need to transfer old Email messages from a Powerbook G4 running 10.5.8 to a newer iMac running 10.6.8. I can move the messages from Mail Library into the newer Mac Mail Library (via home wireless network), but when I open Mail program on the new iMac the Emails don't show up in the Mailbox I transferred them to. I can see the messages in Mail Library and even read them if I double click on the message, but I can't see them in the Mail program.
Is there a compatibility issue between Leopard and Snow Leopard?
Am I doing something wrong?
Any ideas?
My wife keeps all of her Emails in the Inbox, and I can't get her to do it any other way. So I run into problems whenever we switch computers. Thanks, I had forgotten about "Rebuild your Mailbox". I selected the Mailbox where I located the transferred Emails and then did a rebuild your mailbox. Worked like a charm, and I can now see all the Emails. Thanks again.

Why can't I get my email messages when i'm away from home?
My Blackberry gets emails when i'm at home via our wireless network, but when I'm away from home, I don't get any email messages or text messages at all. We have both the home WiFi wireless network "on" and the Mobile Network is on. What should I do so I can get emails when I'm away from home?
Without a Blackberry Data Plan you can't get email pushed to your Curve. While on your wi-fi network you are able to access your email, but away from that link you need a data plan.

Email Message contains "select" & "from" word, system will prompt for security right
Hi All,
Is there anyone ever encounter that if the email message is having a "select" & "from" wording, system will prompt for User ID and password?
I had filled up my CRM User ID & Password, and system will still fail to proceed to send the email. Instead, it is showing "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" page.
Please help...
Regards,
Desmond ChanHi Abhishek,
Thanks again. That's what we suspect. As mentioned, we only have this issue if the email body is having "select...from" wording,
which it looks like SQL statement.
Few days ago we had some changes in out network (MPLS). Now seems the cause maybe from that, as there is no other changes made recently. -
How do i keep my email messages on my iphone
how do i keep my email messages on my iphone, every time i open my mobileme account it has to download the emails. this is expensive when i am abroad. can anyone help.
There's no alternative email program you can use - they all work in the same way. IMAP accounts store mail on the server, there's no way around that. Exchange email accounts work the same way too.
Even if you used an old-style POP3 email account, the iPhone wouldn't store all email readily accessible offline. The iPhone is designed to be permanently connected to the internet.
If you're worried about the cost of accessing email over then mobile network when abroad, either limit your use to WiFi networks (and turn off data roaming) or get a local SIM card and only pay local data rates. -
Hi I cannot get my email messages

All of a sudden I can't get my email messages. What do I need to do?Oh no! I know how important it is to check your email ebutlerphone. I will help get this fixed. Are you able to send an email or reply to one? Have you tried to disable the email that you're using and set it up again? Try resetting the network setting also. How can I calculate the total size of my email messages?
I have an iMac and MacBook Pro. I use Apple's Mail application on each computer and have three email accounts that are feeding into it. I currently synchronize everything through MobileMe. I want to know how to calculate how many MB (probably several GB!) of space my email messages are now using, as I want to upgrade to Lion on the two computers and will soon be getting a 32BG iPad on which I would like to use the Mail application as well. I'd like to know in advance if I need to pay for more than the 5GB of free storage that iCloud will give me before making these changes, as I don't want to lose my email messages. For various reasons, I'd prefer not to go the route of archiving the messages. I can't figure out how to calculate how much space the messages are currently using.
The important detail is the cylinders not the partition numbers. The partitions are simply slots where cylinder space can be assigned if its available.
The backup partition (2) represents the whole disk and shows you have 14086 cylinders available.
But you'll notice that all of those cylinders are already assigned to various partitions. So there is no free space available.
