Never get out of loop

With the below example, Im never getting to the "Out of loop message".It iterates through loop alrite but never comes out of it.
Any ideas anyone?

I think it something to do with the fact that the readline method reads to a '/n' and the stream may not have this termination point.

Time Machine never gets out of Indexing backup...

I had a problem with my iMac earlier today. My first instinct was to create a complete backup. But since then I've not been able to create a backup. Time Machine never gets out of Indexing backup...
Each time I try to backup the message log contains:
Starting standard backup
Backing up to: /Volumes/Time Machine Backups/Backups.backupdb
Backup content size: 253.8 GB excluded items size: 613.1 MB for volume Macintosh HD
303.83 GB required (including padding), 1.82 TB available

The tiny numbers in Activity Monitor suggest that Time Machine isn't really doing anything.
So far I have:
1. Verified my main hard disk and my original backup disk.
2. Bought a new external hard disk and set it up as a new backup disk.
3. Deleted the Spotlight files on my main hard disk and both the backup disks.
4. Reset Time Machine by deleting its .plist file and choosing the new backup disc again.
Given the failure earlier today I am really keen to get a full back up done.
Any ideas?

Indexing the backup and actually performing the backup are two different things. Sometimes Lion Time Machine has trouble maintaining the index when used over a wireless network. That doesn't affect the creation of new backups. You can always enter Time Machine and see just how many backups you have.

After the initial backup, Time Machine doesn't take much CPU time.

Please don't do things like this. What you need to do now is:
1) Boot from your recovery volume.
2) Repair your disk and permissions
3) Wait for Spotlight to finish reindexing your hard drive.
4) Erase your Time Machine drive and start Time Machine over again.
Come back if you are still having trouble. If you muck around with low-level files that shouldn't be mucked with, all bets are off.

Getting out of loop

             iOS 6 and the arrow to unlock.When the arrow is drawn
             across,I get EMERGENCY CALL.START OVER AND
             CANCEL.When touched the emergency pad comes up
             allowing a call.It then clears,buzzes,you press home button
              and get the USB picture and note in circle,above which is
             connect to i tunes.This then goes away,buzzes lights up,
            with the logo of usb and connect to iTunes,and arrow,and
            you are back in the loop.THERE MUST BE A SIMPLE WAY
             OUT. My friends and I,if we cannot find a quick fix,are going
             for the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE II. ( 50 PEOPLE ).And
            a lot more will follow,this is utterly ridiculous.

Hey,
          This sounds pretty frustrating! The device seems like it is in what is called recovery mode. OR it is trying to activate for the first time. Plug it into a computer with the new version of iTunes. If it pops up a message about recovery mode you will need to restore the Phone. If it activates the device you're good to go. You may also need to restart the device. Push and hold the button on top till is says slide to turn off, then slide to turn off.

HT1349 Some I updated to IOS system I canon not the numbers or pages to work on my iPad.2. I paid $10 for each of them. Any suggestions. I update often and these never get out of update status.

When I updated my ipad2 to the IOS system all aps updated and worked except for PAGES and NUMBERS. They always show up in the list as aps that need an update, however the never leave that category and do not function. I paid $10 each for them and wish I could get them to work. any suggestions?

Think about the basics. you are using the same apple I'd for the update? have use mixed in apps from any other apple id? No existing numbers or pages docs open, or print jobs pending?
What happens when you select update in the app store? I think these are pretty big files, so you are doing the app update using a wifi connection?
If you are doing an 'update all', try updating that one specific app, not any others. See if you get any kind of error message.
Lastly, save any important docs or spreadsheets somewhere, then delete the app entirely , then try the redownload again.

Freeflow core Stuck in Processing Request and can't get out of looped state

Javier, We have a problem on our free flow core server. I sent my second test file using one of the saved work flows. The first file sent worked fine using same work flow used on second file. The secong submitted file is stuck inn "processign Request" and I have no way of stopping it. I logged out and logged back in to see if that would help but that was not helpful. I rebooted the server where free flow core resides,and logged in but the "Processsing request" is still running. I'm assuming since workflows are saved, requests are saved in queue until finalized. Since this instance has not finalized free flow keeps attempting to process any pending requests until complete. Since it is failing to complete this specific request, it restarts even after a reboot. I need to find out how to clear/cancel this request.

I have gotten in this loop. When doing this kind of thing, a usb keyboard would be good to have around, and that is probably the problem, because when I would boot, the first time set the windows partition to the default drive. Hold the key combo and boot into OSX, and go into Settings/Startup Disk/ and change it to The osx hd.

When I try to apply the update a screen pops up which continuously scrolls "connecting to server"; it never gets out. (Firefox Yahoo 1.8)

I clicked on Help about Firefox. It immediately displays Firefox Yahoo edition 1.8 and begins downloading a 2.8mb file and then displays an update button.
When you click on the update button another window opens up which says "we strongly recommend applying the update as soon as possible" It displays a "back", "next" and "cancel" button.
When I click on the "next" button it begins displaying "connecting to server" with bars scrolling across the screen. The problem is that it just sits there doing the scrolling and never finishes anything.

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.<br />
You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.

If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.<br />
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

CC 2014 Help Manager never gets out of "Integration Pending" mode when updating help. How do I fix this?

I am using CC 2014 on a Win7 machine. I have been unable to update offline help for quite some time. After downloading help, Help Manager enters "integration pending" mode and after hours and hours, still sits in this mode. You can leave it run all night and no progress is made. I have no help PDFs which I can open.

Out of loop

is there a .out command to get out of a loop?
In the program i want it to append until a comma is seen from the file(below)

                                   }the problem is that it never gets out of the loop when the comma is recieved it just repeats the word repeditivly

This will break you out of the loop, but in effect you don't have a loop them. The problem you are having is that c is never modified in the loop body, so you nothing controlling your loop you essentially have this:
while(true){
    ssnumb2.append(c);
    System.out.println(ssnumb2);
you need to do this:
while(c != ','){
    ssnumb2.append(c);
    System.out.println(ssnumb2);
    <do some modificatin of c here that will eventually
     cause it not to be a ','.>
}

I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser? It is already installed, I just don't use it. I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it? If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.

9 times out of 10 I have to force-quit to get out of my g-mail. This only happens only on my i-Mac, never on my Macbook pro. Can anybody help ?

For some weeks now, I have to force-quit 9 times out of 10 to get out of my e-mail account (g-mail). This only happens on my i-Mac, never with my other devices (Macbook Pro, i.Phone, i-Pad).

OK, you have iMovie 08, which is also known is iMovie Version 7.1.4. It has been a few years since i used this version, so this is based on memory.
The only components you must have in the Library/QuickTime folder are the AppleIntermediateCodec.component and the AppleMPEG2Codec.component.
All the others could potentially be causing problems. I would drag the DivX components, the Flip4Mac components, and the Google Camera components to the Desktop temporarily, so nothing is left in this folder except the two Apple components.
Then restart your Mac and start iMovie. If it works, yay!
If you still need these other components for some other app, you can probably get updated DivX components for free at Perian.org.
You can get updated Flip4Mac components by running WMV Player and updating. It should prompt you to update automatically.
I am not sure about the Google components, but if you are running something that needs them, it should prompt you to install the current versions.
If none of that works, post back.

How do I get out of this "Restore-loop"?

I recently tried to restore my iPod touch 2g to it's original settings by deleting everything. But I hit the restore button on the iPod itself instead of doing it through iTunes. Now it's in a "restore-loop" so to speak and won't turn on. I can put it into DFU mode but that doesn't change anything. It just goes back to the loop of turning on after that whenever i press a button. The main problem is I can't connect it to iTunes. It's not recognized by iTunes or my computer. What can I do to get out of this loop? Is there anything I can do myself or do I need to take it to an Apple store? If anyone has had the same problem or knows how to deal with this, I'd appreciate getting some suggestions as to how I can fix my iPod.
