NeverWinterNights x86_64 problem

Here is, what i got from terminal

  • Archiso x86_64 problem

    [omran97@localhost livepd]$ sudo ./build.sh -v
    [sudo] password for omran97:
cp: cannot stat ‘work/x86_64/root-image/usr/lib/syslinux/*.c32’: No such file or directory
    What is wrong?

Check where it is trying to look for the c32 files.  With syslinux v6 we now have syslinux bios and syslinux efi.  So there is not /usr/lib/syslinux/{bios,efi}/*.c32.
It is pretty trivial to sed a fix into the build.sh.  Though I think if you are using [testing], the sane thing to do would be to use archiso-git as djgera suggested above (he is the developer afterall, so you should probably listen to him).
Edit: The archiso-git package uses an outdated method of grabbing the sources.  So I updated the PKGBUILD to take advantage of the pacman 4.1 capabilities.  Here is the source tarball.

  • Problem with Fresh Install of OEL 6.3 x86_64 over old OEL 6.0 x32

    Dear Experts,
After selecting packages for fresh installation of OEL 6.3 x86_64 over old OEL 6.0 32-bit, it gives me the following warning
Some of the packages you have selected for install are missing dependencies. You can exit the installation, go back and change your package selections, or continue installing these packages without their dependencies.
    Details
    lvm2-2.02.83-3.el6.i686 requires lvm2-libs = 2.02.83-3.el6
    kernel-uek-2,6,39-200.24.1.el6uek.x86_64 requires kernel-uek-firmware = 2.6.39-200.24.1.el6uek
    lvm2-3.02.72-8.el6.i686 requires lvm2-libs = 2.03.72-8.el6
gdb conflicts with elfutilsHow to avoid this warning?
    Best Regards
    Mahmoud

    Hi Dude,
    Thank you for your response.
I didn't choose upgrade. I chose Fresh Installation.
Sorry for not giving background about the problem
The OEL 6.0 x32 was installed on a server with 64bit architecture, so the power of the server is not utilized well.
I want to completely replace the OEL 6.0 (32 bit) system with OEL 6.3 (64 bit)
Just I choose the mount point of /root and /boot and leave the all partitions with no formatting to save the old data
The above warning in the first post appears. How to avoid it?
    Regards
    Mahmoud

  • Problem with R3 4.6C Installation on RHEL4 x86_64

    Hello Experts,
We currently have the 4.6C system on Solaris (64 Bit) and the plan is to migrate to RHEL4 x86_64. I am trying to do a vanilla install of 4.6C SR2 (4.6D EXT kernel) with Oracle 10.2.0.2 on the Linux box as the first step.
I have gone through notes 946141 and 816145 and adapted the changes mentioned there. The installation has progressed smoothly until the database creation step.
    What I've completed so far:
    SAP Binaries extracted successfully
    Oracle Database Software installed successfully
    Oracle 10.2.0.2 Patchset installed successfully
I then continue the installation with R3setup and it creates the database successfully BUT I've noticed that its creating an older version of the tablespace which causes my installation to fail at the ORADBUSR_IND_ORA phase.
I have replaced the oradbusr.sql file from the one in note 573042. I have also confirmed that the DBSIZE.TPL and DDLORA.TPL in the installation directory are copied from the Export CD and have the latest tablespace names.
The last couple of lines from the oradbusr.log are:
    .  Oracle Version:                     10.2.0.2.0
    .  Parametervalue os_authent_prefix:   OPS$
    .  Schema Id:                          R3
    .  Database User (Schema):             SAPR3
    .  SAP R/3 Administrator:              OPS$DW1ADM
unable to assign default tablespace to user: SAPR3
    begin
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00959: tablespace 'PSAPUSER1D' does not exist
    ORA-06512: at line 90
The tablespaces created in the database so far are:
    SQL> select tablespace_name from dba_tablespaces;
    TABLESPACE_NAME
    SYSTEM
    PSAPUNDO
    SYSAUX
    PSAPTEMP
    PSAPR3
    PSAPR346C
    PSAPR3USR
The last three tablespaces (PSAPR3*) are really old and do not exist in my current environment.
Any ideas on how I could get over this problem? I could create the PSAPUSER1D manually but would prefer not to do it this way.
    Thanks,
    Cheng

To do a migration you need to export your source system using R3load and import that exported system (heterogeneous migration). You can´s use backup/restore method due to endianess differences and you need a certified migration consultant on-site to assist you in the migration (http://service.sap.com/osdbmigration).
I have replaced the oradbusr.sql file from the one in note 573042. I have also confirmed that the DBSIZE.TPL and DDLORA.TPL in the installation directory are copied from the Export CD and have the latest tablespace names.
This is really strange - it should use the one you copied to the installation directory. Can you check if it´s using the correct one? Not that R3setup is re-copying it from the installation CD again...

AND "OOPS, unable to locate java exec in /usr/java/latest /usr/java /usr/lib/jvm/latest /usr/lib/jvm hierarchy") and therefore cannot start the Vuze UI. I also tried but failed in verify the version of Java with the command "java -version" due to command not found.
What is the best approach to fix this problem with Java 64 bits?
    Thanks in advance

Yep, perfect answer - issue solved. Thanks a lot!

  • Free space problem in / with oracle-xe-11.2.0-1.0.x86_64

    Hi,
I'm trying to install Oracle-xe-11g on Red Hat 5.6, but I have the following problem:
    [root@localhost] rpm -ivhf oracle-xe-11.2.0-1.0.x86_64.rpm
    Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
installing package oracle-xe-11.2.0-1.0.x86_64 needs 180MB on the / filesystem
However I have enough free space in /, df command shows:

How do I fix it?Add Space.
Looks like you've got a less than 4G total for / with about 420MB free. That's nowhere near enough space, out-of-the-box the datafiles alone take about 1G.
Try bumping sda2 up another 4G, or add a (at least) 4G partition and mount it at /usr/lib/oracle
Per the Linux install guide ... "Disk Space ... 1.5GB minimum" http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17781_01/install.112/e18802/toc.htm#BABHICJH

  • Problems with OPMN from Companion CD (Oracle 10g R2 x86_64 RHEL4)

    I have installed Oracle 10g DB R2 64bit on RHEL4 x86_64 (AMD64) and HTTP-Server from Companion CD
    All works.
But after running opmn appears problems:
    1. The system message to syslog: "ip_conntrack: table full, dropping packet"
    2. 'netstat -a' displays me thousands TCP-session on localhost to port 6100 in TIME_WAIT state
And network services on my host more died than alive...
If I increase ip_conntrack kernel parameter, then network state alive. But the problem with TCP-sessions is not resolved.
    Any ideas?
Thanks, and sory for my english :-)
P.S. I have RHEL4 without update 1, but with new kernel and patched binutils. Update of RHEL can resolve this problem?

    Thank you!
The problem described in Metalink Doc-ID Note : 284602.1 is my case!
But this document applies to Oracle Net Services - Version: 10.1.0.2 to 10.1.0.3.
I have Version 10.2.0.1.0 and the problem apears again (with some symptoms are differ).

  • HEAVY Problems with Linux x86_64 on K8T Neo

    Hello, Community!
I experience *HEAVY* Problems with Linux on my MSI K8T Neo (FSR). Since the customer support of the german dependancy seems to ignore my call for help I'm in good hope that maybe you can help me out or give me some useful advise.
First some Hardware Specs of my system:
MSI K8T Neo FSR, Rev 1.1, BIOS 1.5
    AMD Athlon 64 3000+
    3x 512MB Kingston DDR400
    Enermax EG365P-VE (350W) PSU (3.3V/5V 185W Combinded)
    MSI GeForce FX5200 TDR 128
Adaptec ATA RAID AAR1200A (HPT370A) in PCI Slot 3
Hauppauge WinTV PCI in PCI Slot 5
Maxtor 4K040H2 (40GB) as Primary Master
JLMS XJ-HD166S DVD-ROM as Primary Slave
LiteOn LDW-411S DVD+/-RW as Secondary Master
LiteOn LTR-52327S CD-RW as Secondary Slave
    2x Maxtor 6Y060L0 (60GB) on HPT370A as Primary Master/Slave
Seagate ST380020A (80GB) on HPT370A as Secondary Master
Maxtor 32049U3 on HPT370A as Secondary Slave
    KeyTronic KT2001 USB Keyboard
Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse Blue USB
I've downloaded Fedora Core 1 x86_64 as well as the lately released Fedora Core 2 test 3 x86_64 distribution. Both CD sets have been burnt ok.
If I try to install Core 1 x86_64 (Kernel 2.4.22-1.2179) the kernel crashes with a "attempted to kill idle task" panic. As far as I've learned the workaround is to give idle=poll as kernel parameter. This resolves the kernel panic, but the installer randomly crashes with segfaults at a random stage; sometimes while loading anaconda, sometimes during package install.
If I try to install Core2 test 3 x86_64 (Kernel 2.6.5) I get a, completely new, error message while the kernel does the PCI Scan:
******* Your BIOS seems to not contain a fix for K8 errata #93
******* Working around it, but it may cause SEGVs or burn power
******* Please consider a BIOS update
******* Disabling USB legacy in the BIOS may also help
I removed my USB keyboard, connected a PS/2 keyboard, disabled to USB Legacy option (I need it enabled in order to use Ghost) in the BIOS and booted again.
The error message is gone now, but as in Core 1 the installer still crashes randomly with segfaults. I'm still unable to go all the way through the installation routine.
I even tried to install Fedora Core 1 "i386": again there are segfaults during install.
Contrary to the problems I experience while trying to install Linux my Windows XP (32-Bit), as well as a test installation of Windows XP 64-Bit, run like a charm without any problems. Strange but true.
Since I already read trough several posts in this forum I already tried running my system with memory sticks from another manufacturers as well as with a more powerful PSU. I even removed my tv-card and raid-controller.
Nogo - Linux still crashes randomly and Windows still works without any flaws.
Has anyone a clue what I can/must do to successfully install Linux?
Might it be that the BIOS has some flaws that might cause the problems?
Has anyone managed to install Linux (what distribution) on this Mainboard?
I would greatly appreciate any help. If you need to know something I haven't provided here please feel free to ask. I'll answer ASAP.
    Thank you in advance.
P.S.: The system is *NOT* overclocked in any way.

And now even the last problem is solved ...
Since I was successful in installing a basic Gentoo system but still failed to install Fedora I reflashed BIOS 1.5. This time I cleared the CMOS by unplugging the PSU, setting the jumper and removing the backup battery.
Yesterday I only flashed it with the /a switch, which should have cleared the CMOS as well - so far for the theory. However, it once went fine as I upgraded from BIOS 1.1 to 1.4.
After setting up the BIOS options again I gave it another try and booted from Fedora (Core 2 test 3) install CD: No more complains about the CPU errata, although USB legacy is enabled, and I even went through the installation without any problems.
It seems as I will stick with Gentoo as my primary distribution since the kernel makes a more "mature" impression than the one from Fedora (i.e. the K8 PowerNOW! Driver seems to be missing in Fedora's Kernel 2.6.5).
By using an spare Athlon XP Mainboard I worked out that only one of my three Kingston memory sticks had errors - I'm going to replace the faulty stick tomorrow.
    Now for the conclusio:
Thanks, especially you JLP, for helping me with my issue. Without the advise to use Gentoo, and the included MemTest86, I wouldn't have been able to track down the error to a faulty memory stick that fast since Windows always ran fine.

  • Problems with running HTTP-Server (opmn) on RHEL4 x86_64

I have installed Oracle 10g DB R2 on RHEL4 x86_64 and HTTP-Server from Companion CD
    After running opmn appears problems:
    1. The system message: "ip_conntrack: table full, dropping packet"
    2. I have thousands established TCP-session on 127.0.0.1 to port 6100
And the network on my server more died than alive :-(
    What is it?

    Hi Hema,
There could be various things that explain this, but from your symptoms it looks like the engine is hung processing this report. This could be as simple as a PL/SQL trigger that is in an infinite loop. Anyway, a simple thing to do is to add TRACEFILE=filename&TRACEMODE=append&TRACEOPTS=TRACE_ALL onto your URL. This will create the specified file and dump information into it about what Reports is doing as it is processing your report. If it is hung in an infinite loop, you should be able to see how far it got when you kill it.
Also, you can see the status of the reports job queue by using the http://.../rwcgi60?showjobs command. If the report is executing forever, you'll see it sitting there in the job queue.
    regards,
    Stewart

There is already a thread on broken GUI after the libdrm/nouveau upgrade :
    see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=112758
A bug report was opened in the Flyspay about that (#22700).
Downgrading the packages listed in the thread above solves temporarily the problem.
Please can you precise the Nvidia chipset you use ?
    Thanks.
