New attribute in creditcard

Hi,
I put a new attribute in the creditcard and i saw the verification was made by the class CreditCardTools so i extended it too, i implemented a new method to validate this attribute and i need to add a new error message but it is in a resource file, so i have two questions:
- how i can add a new message ?
- how the method CreditCardTools.getStatusCodeMessage take the correct message by an int ?

Hi,
  Check whether the infoobject yo have added as Nav attribute is created as 'Attributes only' infoobject. If this is the case it wont be available in transformation. If you have defined correctly then try to re-activate the master and see the P table if you are able to see attribute. Now you go to the transformation and you should see the object in start routine.

Raghavendra.

  • Added new attribute to WBS

    Here is my current issue.
    I added a "deleted indicator" to the WBS_ELEMT_ATTR on r/3, then created a new infoobject in BW (did not flag it w/master data) and added this new infoobject as a navigational attribute to the WBS_ELEMT infoobject in BW.
    Went to the infosource for WBS_ELEMT and added it to the transfer structure and the comm. structure. Activated it. Then reloaded the master data for WBS from r/3. Went to "Maintain Master Data" for WBS_ELEMT and I can see the new field is populated correctly in the new field I added to WBS_ELEMT.
    Then I went to the cube 0PS_C04 and marked the new attribute I added to WBS_EMEMT as a navigation attribute and re-activated it and the update rules.
    The problem is in the query and when viewing data with list cube or cube contents the field is blank. But its not blank with maintain master data for WBS_ELEMT.
    Does anyone have any clues as to my mistake or what I need to do. I'm needing to restrict a query based on 0PS_C04 by this new attribute I added to WBS.
    Will reward points as always.
    Richard

    Hey Richard,
    WBS_ELEMT is a navigational attribute in 0PS_C04 and "deleted indicator" is a navigational attribute of WBS_ELEMT. So, "deleted indicator" is a second level navigation attribute for 0PS_C04. This will not show you any data in the query even if you can see the data for this field in WBS_ELEMENT. One more thing is that in the update rules for 0PS_C04, you have mapped only WBS_ELEMENT but not "deleted indicator". Hence, the data is not displayed in the report.
    You can handle this in 2 different ways.
    1. Add "deleted indicator" to the cube directly and map it all the way down to the data source.
    2. Add the "deleted indicator" to the cube and in the update rules, map it as an attribute of WBS_ELEMENT.
    Unless it is mapped to the cube from the comm structure in the update rules, you can not see the data in the report.  Try one of these and let us know if it works.

  • Not able to use new attribute in set defination

    Experts,
    I have created one custom variable employeestatus. Did the binding with 'user' object and also added in MPR 'Synchronization: Synchronization account controls users it synchronizes'..
    However I am still not able to use the new attribute in Set definition.
    Error says access denied.
    Please suggest.

    Hi,
    You need to add it to one of FilterPermission objects (depending on what you need either Administrator Filter Permission or Non-Administrator Filter Permission).
    Go to All Resources, locate Filter Permission, open one of them and add your attribute to the Allowed
    Attributes under Permitted Filter Attributes tab.

  • Add a new attribute.

    I would like to add a new attribute to the membership.xml, what can i do to create the new attribute in the directory server and then add it to the form of autoregister?

    Can you restore your DAI service by restoring LDAP entries with ums.xml or umsExisting.xml files. One of them should be backed up before modification. If you didn't, then you can restore it from another installation.
    Follow the steps:
    0) Delete Membership using amadmin -r Membership
    1) Restore old file Membership: amadmin -s <file.xml>
    2) Delete DAI Service entries
    3) use amadmin -s ums.xml or umsExisting.xml to populate entries under DAI branch
    4) restart the service (web srv: stop && start; appsrv: asadmin stop-appserv && asadmin start-appserv)
    Try to login again and to create a new account.
    It should work.

    Hi,
    You cannot add custom fields and do provision or recon for it.I have opened the SR with Oracle and this facility will be available in 9.1. which is launching after 4 months.You need to request the source code and modify it to get the custom fields.

  • Steps for adding a new attribute

    Please let me know if the below steps are correct
    =================================================
    I have an Infoobject called 0XXXX in BW and want to add another attribute called XXX_TYPE.
    This infoobject is used in 2 Info Cubes and a Multiprovider. Also in 3 queries.
    In R/3 the info I need is stored in a Table(XYZ). Please let me know if the below steps are correct and all I need
    1) Create a generic extractor to pull the data from XYZ table (Like an ABAP program) .. This is the part which I am not clear !!!
    2) Modify 0XXXX in BW to add this new navigational attribute
    3) Load Master data using process chain
    4) Re activate all update rules
    5) Change Infoprovider's for the new attribute (How to do that ??)
    6) Change query (What changes will I need to make .. Just select this attribute field into the required query)
    Please help

    Hello,
    As you said, either enhance the extract structure by adding this new InfoObject and then write the code in the user-exit.
    Or if the SAP table has the Key fields of the InfoObject, then create a generic extractor. Create a view by including the key fields of the InfoObject and the new attribute InfoOBject for which data has to be derived from this. Use this view or the table itself for the extractor.
    Create new InfoSOurce for the InfoObject which will only update the new InfoObject. Keep only transfer rules for the Key InfoObjects and the new InfoObject.

  • How to derive new attributes from the levels of a hierarchy

    Hello,
    I have a hierarchy based on object XYZ where each level has a specific meaning, for example: Continent, Country, Region.
    I would like to create new attributes to this object XYZ that would be derived from the hierarchy levels.
    Can anyone provide some help?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi.
    If I understand correctly you want to fill an attribute of XYZ with information on where in the hierarchy the particular XYZ-value is placed?
    If so, I guess you would want attributes on XYZ for each "thing" you derive from the hierarchy levels, but at any rate, you can look up the level each XYZ value belongs to in the H table so, /bic/Hxyz. Fx value 123 is on level 5 and you get the parent ID as well.
    Keep checking the parent ID and which level it is on in order to know when you have reach the next logical "thing" and then read the value of the node and put it as an attribute of XYZ.
    regards

  • How to add new attribute as descrition to 0Material infoobject?

    Hi BI Gurus,
    I am trying to add a new attribute to 0MATERIAL. The new attribute called Z_DESC which will be displayed as Material Description.
    My problem is how can I get Material long description show on this new added attribute. Since the master data load from different datasource: Attribute, Text, and Hierachy, how can I get text to show on attribute?
    I looked up on 0MATERIAL_ATTRIBUTE datasource there is no field NAME or DESCRIPTION but there is long description on 0MATERIAL_TEXT. Should any have idea how to get text show on added new attribute?
    Thanks in advacne,

    Hi BW Team
    How was the symptom and how the Message no. RSDMD217 show?
    If you have encounter the problem as mine: I added new attibutes to I/O 0MATERIAL and then tried to load the data to I/O 0MATERIAL again, it shows error message Message no. RSDMD217 and I cannot be able to see the data on new added attributes.
    I checked on PSA and found some records didn't sound right such as on material code column is filled with text so I use T Code RSRV to check the consistency of the I/O. It shows an errors as
    Characters are not allowed in characteristic values (characteristic 0MATERIAL).
    So I click on Correct Error Tab and try to reload again. It works.

  • Creating new Attributes for use with AttributedStrings

    I trying to find a way to change the color of key strings in a phrase so that they stand out. For example.
    the String (The water is HOT). I want the word HOT to be the color RED.
    I have noticed in using the TextAttributes option on the AttributedString doesn't have an option to change a color for a particular word in a String only a way to swap the foreground and background colors. In general is there a way to add new attributes for doing the above example?
    Just a note. This modification is not being done in an editor pane or text field. I'm looking for a way to do this without user interaction.

    If you are not drawing this in an JEditorPane, but just with DrawText, you will have to split the text up your self, draw the first half, then switch colors, then draw the second half.

  • Bug in JDev 9.0.3.3: Adding new attributes

    for me, it's seems to be a bug when:
    - you have an existing view object with attributes of two EOs
    - add new attributes from the EOs to the view object (in our case the column names are identical, JDev names them to TCN and TCN1 in the select-statement of the query)
    - update of the query of the view object doesn't properly work as well as attribute mapping shows that my new attributes are transient
    - removing all attributes from the view object and reassigning them again leads to a strange attribute mapping, i.e. now I have to set them again by manual.
    Does anyone have the same experience with attribute removal and addtion of view objects?
    Regards,
    Stefan

    Stefan,
    I tried to reproduce it with my 9.0.3.3 (Build 1205) installation but wasn't successful. Here's what I did:
    1. Create 2 entities
    2. Create one VO based on the two
    3. Run it
    4. Edit the VO and add an attribute from the second entity having the same name
    5. Run it
    There must be something that you do differently from what I describe. Can you try to find ou what it is?

    Can you provide the correct code snippet?
    The provided code snippet:
    EntityDefImpl lnewEntity = EntityDefImpl.findDefObject("model.entity.Applicant");
    aNewEntity .addAttribute("FirstName", "FIRST_NAME", String.class, false, false, false);
    The variable references are different - lnewEntity / aNewEntity
    Can you do a null check if you add the attribute?
    if(aNewEntity != null) {
    aNewEntity .addAttribute("FirstName", "FIRST_NAME", String.class, false, false, false);

  • How to add new attribute in product catalog?

    Hi All,
    Can anyone tell me how to add new field/attribute in product catalog?
    The requirement is to display product's new attribute on product catalog screen.
    Do I need to create any custom java class?
    Need suggestion!!
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Rupali

    Hello Rupali,
    I am assuming a CRM E-Commerce scenario for my help here.
    Can anyone tell me how to add new field/attribute in product catalog?
    You must start from defining the new Attribute in an exisiting or new Set Type. Use transaction code COMM_ATTRSET. Once you have the attribute / attribute set defined, you can assign this to your catalog - in the header data as the Basic characteristic List.
    to display product's new attribute on product catalog screen
    See catalog/ProductDetailISA.jsp for tips - search for catalog.isa.attribute. The catalog item WebCatItem has all the details available already.
    com.sapmarkets.isa.catalog.webcatalog.WebCatItem currentItem = webCatItem;
    If you want to show the details of attributes in the catalog page - say - catalog/ProductsISA.jsp, the instance of WebCatItem is already available. In this page look for
      <isa:iterate id="item"
                   name="itemPage"
                   type="com.sapmarkets.isa.catalog.webcatalog.WebCatItem">
    You can see that item is an instance of the WebCatItem and follow the code in the <isa:iterate> loop. Using the following code
    Iterator itemAttribute = item.getCatalogItemAttributes();
    will give you the attribute list. You can iterate over the list of attributes and do what you want.

    You need to add attribute to User Extended Attributes its an configuration object. After changes you need to restart the App / Web server. Only after restart IDM will start storing the value into repository and you can use them as global.<<attr name>>
    Thanks

  • [SOLVED] New attributes in View Object not visible in pageDef

    Hi,
    I'm having a View Object whererin I create new attributes. The problem is that the newly created attributes are not available for selection in a table binding in the page definition.
    It seems like there is still somewhere a reference to the 'old' collection of attributes of the View Object. Is there a way to force an update?
    The .xml file of the View seems to have the correct query containing the new attributes. Altough, when I try to edit the table binding in the pageDefinition, the attributes are not available in the 'Available Attributes' frame.
    Thanks,

    Hi Chetan,
    I am now able to add a new tab after adding a new entry with the Main View name in "Assign Access levels to Incident Tabs" in transaction SPRO.
    However, I am now facing a new issue when I add a main view in OIF component. There are 12 main views in the Object Instance Schema with ID's MainView<sequencenumber> as shown below.
    But when I add a new main view I am getting the ID with the format MainVIew<sequencenumber_hexadecimalvalues> and also I am able to edit the ID value which is not enabled for other main views as shown below.
    The problem with this hexadecimal value is that every time a change is done and I save the configuration, the number changes and this is causing problem as the configuration in SPRO does not match and the new tab becomes invisible.
    Please could you let me know what could be the reason and how to rectify this?
