Hello...
I have an existing BW report with 5 separate Excel Table Sheets. I would like to include another 3 new Queries in this Excel file as 3 new sheets. How can I do that?
Thanks,
Sebastian

    Hi JH,
We had the same issue.  EP is trying to download an applet for the local file selection dialog and your browser is blocking it.  Once you adjust your browser security you will see the pop-up to allow installation of the applet.

  • How to convert Bex Analyser report into normal MS Excel sheet

    Hi,
I created query in Bex Analyser. Now, I want to send this copy as a normal MS Excel document through mail.
When I tried save as and send a copy, It is showing the filter, table, information buttons and appearing same as bex report.  I would like to see normal excel sheet when it opens.
Is there any way except copy & paste.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Aparna.

    Hi Chandu,
I followed same procedure as you said. I created one node for SMTP in SAP connect:Administration(SCOT).
I gave destination as RFC destination -> BWDCLNT -> Internet -> enter mail address...etc as per system requirements.
Once I executed, It is showing "No message sent". Did I miss any steps to follow...
Can you give me step by step procedure to follow.
In our Bex tools, Only Broadcaster was disabled. If I configure mail server, may be it enable?
    Your help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Aparna.

  • Report Generation tool kit for MS office (Opening an existing excel file and appending to the bottom)

I don't have any problems creating and filling an excel sheet with data. I use the New Report.vi, Easy Title.vi, and Easy Text.vi to create the file. I then save and dispose properly.
What I don't seem to be able to do is open the exsting file and append data to the end of the sheet.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    todd

    Hi Todd,
You can do this by creating a new Excel report with the existing excel file path wired to the "template" input. Then use "Excel Get Last Row.vi" (located under Report Generation\Excel Specific\Excel General) to obtain the location of the last row. Then use that location to input new data into the file.
    Hope this helps,

  • ALV Report to be send as a mail as an Excel sheet attachment

    Hi,
I have designed a Report that has the mailing functionality by attaching the ALV report output in the Excel sheet.
    1. I am using SUBMITT PROGRAM....EXPORTING MEMORY ID.
Here  I am retrieving the required ALV report.
    2. I am passing of ALV Report output to internal table, say XLS_TAB using FM LIST_TO_ASCI.
I can see the data in the internal table. But the problem is when the report output has many columns (i.e) greater than 255 Char, the columns get truncated(data is missed).
So, how to prevent the missing of the columns. I don't want split each record into new line. Because, when it is passed to Excel, each record should be in a single line without missing any column.
If you say the FM can be valid upto 255 Char, what can be the alternative solution?
    Immediate response is appreciated.
    Thanks for your help.
    Sravan.

    Hi deepan
    DESCRIBE TABLE objtxt LINES tab_lines.
      READ TABLE objtxt INDEX tab_lines.
    docdata-doc_size = ( tab_lines - 1 ) * 255 + STRLEN( objtxt ) . <---- make it 1024 instead of 255
      CLEAR objpack-transf_bin.

    objpack-body_start = 1.
    objpack-body_num = gv_tab_lines.
    objpack-doc_type = RAW
      APPEND objpack
then looping contents of the final table to OBJBIN1.
    DESCRIBE TABLE objbin1 LINES tab_lines.

  • Create and name new worksheets in existing excel spreadsheet

    Hello-
I am running LabVIEW 6i and excel2000. I need to write data acquired in LabVIEW to new worksheets of an already existing excel spreadsheet, and also name these new worksheets. I have been able to create the new worksheets but haven't yet figured out how to name them. I'm new to activeX and any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hi Paul,
Programming using ActiveX can be tricky, especially knowing just what kind of datatypes the different methods and properties are expecting. There are 2 ways I would recommend for users to find out about ActiveX parameters:
    1. Right-click and choose Help for the specific property/method.
When you have a method or property selected on the Property or Invoke Node, you can right-click and there will be 2 help options--one for the generic Property Node or Invoke Node, the other for the specific method or property that is selected in the node itself. If you select the help for the specific property/method, a Microsoft Visual Basic Reference Help should appear that will provide you with explanations and examples of the datatypes that method/property is expecting given the object that is in use.
    2. Go to the MSDN Library >> Excel Object Model
This has an overview of Microsoft's Excel Object Model and will also show you how to use Microsoft's Excel Object Model.
Keep in mind that because ActiveX can be tricky, NI also offers the Report Generation Toolkit to make programming to Word and Excel much easier! Nice tutorials and examples are provided too.

  • Report using excel sheet as data source not working when deployed to production.

I have a set of SSRS reports that use an excel sheet as a datasource.
Now when I preview the reports or run them in the Visual Studio IDE on my local machine i.e
the development machine, the reports run fine & display all correct results.
However, when we deploy the reports to the Production machine which is on a separate server,
the following error message is displayed :
"The current action cannot be completed. The user data source credentials do not meet the requirements to run this report. Either the user data source credentials are not stored in the report server database, or the user data source is configured not to
require credentials but the unattended execution account is not specified. (rsInvalidDataSourceCredentialSetting)"
I've copy pasted the connection string used for connecting to the excel file as reference :
    Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=C:\MyFolder\CurrentFile.xlsx;Extended Properties="Excel 12.0;HDR=Yes;";
The excel file has also been uploaded to the machine housing the reporting server (i.e to C:\MyFolder location)

    Hi Aaakar,
From the error message, please try to change the setting of Credential type for the data source on report manager as follows:
Go to the Data Sources properties page.
For the Connect Using option, select Credentials stored securely in the report server.
In User Name and Password, type credentials that can be used to access the database. If you are using SQL Server as the data source, the user name must be valid for both logging on to the server and for accessing the database that contains the data for
    the report.
If the user name and password are credentials for a Windows account, select Use as Windows Credentials.
If you want the report server to pass the credentials of the user accessing the report to the server hosting the external data source, click Windows Integrated Security. In this case, the user is not prompted to type a user name or password.
For more details about Configure Data Source Properties, please see:

    Hope this helps.

on the next screen, on the menu go to LIST > SAVE > FILE.  chosse "Spreadsheet" and ENTER.  specify where you want to save the file, the title and the file type (EXCEL file).  click "Generate".

Transferring Data from ABAP Internal Table to Excel Sheet
If you wish to transfer data from ABAP internal table to EXCEL you can use the following function module.
    MS_EXCEL_OLE_STANDARD_DAT
This function module populates an existing excel sheet with the data from the ABAP internal table. Please find below code which shows hwo to declare and populate the import and important parameters. In the next section we will see in depth how this function module operates.

  • Mapping of various internal tables into one existing excel

    Hi all,
i have a problem regarding conversion into existing excel sheet.
Actually i have multiple reports and  i have to convert all them into an existing excel sheet.. How is it possible please guide.
Edited by: Ram Shanker on Oct 30, 2009 10:37 AM

    Hi Ram,
    You can merge different internal table data to  a single worksheet in an excel ;
or you can keep each internal table data in separate worksheets in a  single excel.
Both ways are possible using OLE technique.
    Refer this link.
