NEW COMPUTER ALL-IN-ONE DOES NOT WORK, OR CAN MY INK BE DRY?

HAVE INSTALLED DESKJET ALL-IN-ONE 250 J410 SERIES IN NEW LAPTOP.  JUST RETURNED FROM 5 MONTH ABSENSE.  COULD MY PROBLEM BE DRIED UP CARTRIDGES OR?  I THOUGHT AT LEAST THE PRINTER WOULD ATTEMPT TO PRINT EVEN WITHOUT GOOD INK.  i HAVEN'T FOUND WHERE ON THIS COMPUTER I CAN FIND THE STATUS OF MY INK. CAN SOMEONE HELP?

I understand that you're experiencing an issue printing from your Windows 7 computer to your HP Deskjet J410 series printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this printing issue. However, I do need to confirm which exact HP Deskjet you are using within the J410 series?

In the meantime, can I please have you click here to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. This Tool will run on your computer and 'fix printing' issues for you. Should any driver, software, or connection conflicts be found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you.
Please respond to this post with the result of running the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. Should the issue persist be sure to let me know exactly what HP Deskjet printer you have. I look forward to hearing from you!

    I can't believe I have bought an Apple product that does not work, and that I cannot claim to anybody. I have no way of asking for a replacement.

    This is the way of Apple all over the world, Their toll free telephone numbers for AppleCare support are all country specific.  Apple does not provide an international support number anywhere.

  • HP Envy 5530 e-all-in-one Does Not Work With Mac

    Just bought an HP Envy 5530 all-in-one. It does not print through Safari and possibly other Mac applications. Does not frame the page properly even with "print page" and prints slower  than 1 page per minute, even with no background images. My old HP had no problem with Safari. Phone support tells me there is no driver or fix. So I will return the device. Seems crazy. I now see othr commenters saying it doesn't work with Mac. If HP's no longer works with major Mac applications, they will be returned in droves. Anyone know why or know of a fix?

  • Moving PS to a new computer. Serial number does not work.

    Moved PS to a new computer. Get the following error message when i try to enter serial number, "Serial Number you provided is valid but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer".

    There should be an option to go to another screen where you enter the serial # from a qualifying previous version. So if you are installing CS6 you would need to enter the serial # from your older CS5 or maybe CS4. Same goes if you are installing CS5. You would need the serial # from CS4 or CS3.
    Hopefully you still have the boxes from those older versions and or you recorded the serial # for them if you bought the Downloaded version.
    If not then it is time to Upgrade to the subscription based PS CC or buy a Full version of CS6.

  • I transferred CS5 to a new computer using PC transfer program. CS5 started up on the new computer OK, but now does not recognize raw files. Should I uninstall and reinstall again?

    I transferred CS5 to a new computer using PC mover ultimate. CS5 appeared to start up normally, I had to insert the serial number from my original CD. However, now the program does not recognize CR files and Adobe bridge is not working properly.  I get messages that CS5 needs to be updated, but the updates fail. What should I do? Should I uninstall CS5 on the new computer, uninstall CS5 on the old computer using the original CD, and then reinstall CS5 using the CD on the new computer?

    Transferring programs does not work well with Adobe applications.  You should install them.
    As far as having the program on different machines goes, you are allowed to have two activated installations so if it is working on the original machine there is no reason to remove it unless you need the space.

  • Installed HP Officejet 4100 All-in-one does not appear in Control Panel printer selection window.

    My HP Officejet 4100 Series 'All-in One' DOES NOT APPEAR in the Control Panel window even after several re-installs. The diagnostics indicate that the 4100 is not connected and dos NOT point to any path for a solution.
    Attempts to download a current Driver, ( or re-load the 4100 "software" ), WILL NOT work because the 'help' page states the driver already comes with the 4100 software and therefore does not provide for any download update, (driver or software) for the 4100 printer.
    I have reinstalled from the original Disk for the 4100 and also attemped install with Windows Update requested driver. Nothing works.

    Welcome to the forums
    I read your message about your Officejet 4100 not showing that it's connected, and that you have attempted to run the Windows Update to see if that would help get the printer working again. You are correct that this model does not have a downloadable driver for Windows Vista, so your best bet would be to try running the Print and Scan Doctor tool, to see if it can kick the printer into gear and have it functioning again.
    If the tool does not work, I would then recommend looking in to a printer upgrade. Consider giving us a call to see what your options are with HP.

    Is the printer connected to your PC by USB or network?
    By using USB connection, you may scan using the Windows Fax and Scan software integrated into your OS.
    Scanning through a network connection unfortunately supported on Windows7 32 bit only, as you  may find listed within the About network scanning section below:
