New Computer, New Itunes, ... old Apple TV. how to modify content

The Apple TV was originally setup on a Mac, and uploaded tons of movies to it. The MAC died last year, and was replaced with a PC. I've been able to watch all the content, and figured out how to stream to it by using itunes and activating "home sharing" on my PC, but I really need to upload to it. I'm using an airport Extreme for my wireless network, if that means anything.
I've been thinking of re-formatting and starting over, but some of the movies I don't have a backup anymore.
Is there a way to upload new movies and delete others with my current setup?
Windows 7 PC => Airport Extreme => Apple TV

I guess I'll have to live without those videos. I love having the internal drive because you can play the movie and not ever have any streaming pauses. And Apple TV2 streams only? I know $99 is nice, but at least include a firewire port for an external drive if you are going to go drive-less. For apple, what does a 250 gig HD cost? $20? I bet they could get it for $10 or less. I assume they want you to get used to renting from Apple store. Jeez, No company nickels and dimes you better than Apple. (breathe... sorry, I'll limit my rant...)
Next step: sync to my new PC.
So you say I just need to go into settings/computers/ and choose my new PC to be the primary SYNC device. I'll check it out and give it try.

I used to share an Itunes account but I recently made my own through my phone. I have all my stuff from my phone backed up on the computer on my old Apple ID/Itunes account. I want to back up all my current content on my phone to my NEW Apple ID/Itunes account but I'm afraid things will erase if I try to do so. How can I do this and still keep all the content on my phone currently?

You can't back up iTunes store content to a different account on your oomputer.

After changing your Apple ID information, you may need to manually sign out and sign back in on your devices so that they may recognize the update. You may find the following article helpful:

If the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

All apps downloaded/purchased are tied to the apple ID used to download/purchase them.
If you change your Apple ID and do not wish to use the old apple ID and password to update them, you have to delete them and redownload or buy them under the new apple ID.

New laptop, old iPod Touch, how do I get apps onto iTunes?

Hi. I have recently bought a new laptop, and want to sync my apps in iTunes to my 9 month Touch, but when I select Sync, iTunes tells me; "+All existing applications and their data on the iPod <my ipod> will be replaced with applications from this iTunes library+".
As this is a new iTunes install, won't it completely wipe all my apps? Short of hunting down all my apps in iTunes and re-purchasing them, how do I get to a point where I can sync apps?

Don't sync your iPod until you have your purchases back onto the computer and your restored your library or you will lose the contents from it. iTunes will let you copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer

New vs old apple TV as music server

I'm currently using an Apple TV as our music server, though because it runs hot and sits in our cabinet, I have to reset it all the time. I'm intrigued by the new Apple TV, but also know that it only does streaming music as it doesn't have an HDD.
For the new Apple TV:
1. Would I need to keep my computer on all the time if I wanted to use the Apple TV and stream music?
2. Is there a way to attach a dedicated hard drive to the Apple TV either directly or through our home network so that I could listen to music without needing to have our computer on?
One of the best things about the old Apple TV was music that was on the Apple TV itself, but of course, it meant it ran hot and would need to be reset a lot.
Any recommendations?
