i developing an application that need to store coordinates which represented with 3 floats. i need simple demo which illustrates me how can i insert such coordinate using Oracle Spatial and the how to select it. i also need little explanation of the structure of the select and insert queries

Well, Ron, I think you will need to read a minimum in order to use oracle spatial. I admit that the Oracle docset can seem daunting, but I don't think you can use it without at least reading some of the Oracle Spatial Users Guide, available here (file://localhost/D:/Doc/Oracle/1020/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14255/toc.htm) in HTML and PDF.
I suggest reading at least chapters 1 (concepts) and 2 (data types) in this manual.

OK - I finally get this. I guess that SAP Business One is the entry level, least expensive license. If my company buys SAP Business One, will that provide the R/3 system and BAPIs to build some demos? And can I hook up SAP Business One to the Sneak Preview SAP NewWeaver 6.40 in order to invoke the BAPIs using Java?
And I guess that if we buy SAP Busienss One, then I don't need 6.40 ABAP stack to invoke the BAPIS - or do I?

Need help with a very simple example. Trying to reference a value

i managed to do this for my app. (think i referred to viewTransitions sample code and modified quite a bit)
i can't remember this well cos i did this quite a while back, but i will try to help as much as possible
1) from the appdelegate i initialize a root controller (view controller class)
2) this root controller actually contains two other view controllers, let's call it viewAController and viewBController, for the screens which u are going to toggle in between. and there's also a function, let's call it toggleMenu, which will set the menus to and fro. i copied this whole chunk from the sample code. it actually defines the code on what to do, i.e. if current view is A switch to B and vice versa.
3) inside the controller files, you need to implement the toggleMenu function too, which basically calls the rootController's toggleMenu
4) we also need viewA and viewB files(view class)
5) need to add the .xib files for the respective views and link them up to the controller class. i did not use the .xib files for ui layout though, because of my app's needs. however, it will not work properly without the .xib files.
5) inside the view class of both views, i.e. viewA.m and viewB.m, you need to create a button, that will call the toggleMenu function inside the respective controller class.
it will look something like this:
[Button addTarget:ViewAController action:@selector(toggleMenu:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
so the flow is really button (in view)-> toggleMenu(viewController) -> toggleMenu(rootController)
i'm sorry it sounds pretty hazy, i did this part weeks before and can't really remember. i hope it helps.

Open your example finder (help..find examples...") and search for these two terms.
I recommend looking at "General Notifier example.vi" and "Generate Occurrences.vi".
Is there anything in the online help that is not clear? What are you trying to do?

NIO with SSLEngine API - Simple example required

I am trying to implement a NIO Server with SSL Engine based implementation. I went through the Https server given in the samples provided with jdk 5.0. But that is little bit more complicated (uses Handlers and other associated functionality). what I am looking for is a simple example program which can elucidate the SSL Engine API operations and the bare minium code to execute a simple Client Server communication through SSL Engine. I know it has a long learning curve, just thought if somebody has researched well and posted an article/tutorial in this regard, it would be really helpful for novice programmers like me. Please help with some sample programs..

Unfortunately the bare minimum is extremely complicated. The JSSE samples contain some simplistic NIO code but it barely works, and doesn't cope with useClientMode=true at the server, or with re-handshakes.
There is some PD code out there if you can find it, and also several discussions in the Secure Sockets forum.

Alright...I feel like a complete idiot asking this question..but I'm having such trouble writing this program. The program description is here:

I don't think you don't need to look through any C programming books.
When you have a problem like this, do some thinking about what methods you need to use and what the general structure of the program will be.
You need to print asterisks out to the screen... so you'll need:
System.out.println
System.out.printAnd you already know that you need two loops.
Now you can ask yourself how you might use the print statements with two loops in order to design a basic structure for the program.
You have 8 lines, so you might want a loop that runs through 8 times, one of the lines printed each time.
Within this loop, you need another loop that prints out *'s. This loop could run once for each asterisk, but because there is a different number of asterisks on each line, the number of times this loop runs would be variable.
So a basic structure:
//loop1 that runs 8 times
    //loop2 that runs once for each *
        print one star
    //end loop2
//end loop1The key now is to recognise the difference between print and println. I don't know if you alread know, but System.out.print will print a string without creating a new line at the end, and println will create a new line at the end of the printed string.

Just bought new mini with lion, need to install programs. How? No CD drive

I need to install InDesign on my new mini but there is no CD drive. How can I get software loaded? I also need to transfer stuff from old mini with 10.4.11 os, Can this be done via firewire?

If you plan on using CD/DVD media in the future, you may as well
get yourself a USB CD/DVD burner.
As for transfering from the old Mini, you can connect with Firewire
or you could connect with ethernet. Since the "old" Mini was
running 10.4.11, I'm guessing it has FW400 so you will need a cable
and/or adapter to go FW400->FW800. However, you didn't say
what model so I am guessing.
Also, if your version of InDesign is PowerPC and not Intel,
it will not run on the new Mini. Lion now longer has support
for PowerPC applications. The same will be true of any other
applications.

New development with time remap tool

It turns out my time remap tool works just fine in other projects just not this one. I do have alot of still shots with some motion graphics which is starting to extend my render times extensively. My question is, how do I solve this rendering time problem? Is there a way manage rendered footage better? Compress it? I'm new to this motion graphics and would appreciate any help.

Keyframing smooth moves takes a little bit of practice and a BIG Canvas window to really see what you're doing. You'll be using the Canvas window and the Motion tab of the Viewer window a lot for this.
Once you have the Canvas window up-sized (but still keep it at "Fit to Window" or smaller), set it to Image+Wireframe mode. When you click on or highlight a clip in the Timeline, you should see the Wireframe for that clip in the Canvas window (as long as the playhead remains over that clip). But first, double click a clip in the Timeline to load it into the Viewer window then open the Motion tab.
Depending on what you want to do, you can approach most keyframed motion tasks two ways; move the Wireframe in the Canvas window, or enter values in the Viewer window. I usually do a bit of both.
When you set a keyframe that shows up as a green dot (Scale, Rotation, Crop, Opacity, etc), you can right-click on that keyframe and select "Smooth" from the contextual menu. You'll see the purple bezier handles added to the keyframe. You can leave them as they are, or you can move those handles to manipulate the desired action. But for items like the Center control (black dot keyframe), you don't have this option in the Viewer window. Say you want to move the center point over the duration of the clip. Set the beginning and ending keyframe - or just set the beginning keyframe then move the playhead to the end point and manually drag the Wireframe in the Canvas window to the new location and FCP will automatically add a new keyframe. You should now see the path of the clip shown in the Canvas window displayed as dotted line. Right-click on the end or beginning keyframe and select "Ease In/Ease Out" from the contextual menu. Now you should see the same purple bezier handles added. Again, you can use the handles to smooth out movement, or slow down or accelerate a clip (by extending or shortening the length of the handle). If you have a multiple keyframed motion path, you can make wonderfully smooth curves with the bezier handles.

This is an example I put together. It relies soley on the messaging functionality and is designed to be simple. Parsley has many tag (too many) and alternative approaches that you will find variations. However I had a hard time finding some beginner examples clearly explained.

As h200 told ya... over here you're gonna find many good examples and tutorials.. I personally have been learning J2ME from a book called "Core J2ME Technology & MIDP". The author is John W. Muchow and I do think that it is a very good book in contents and explanation... good didatic... and it shows up many examples and covers all the MIDP 2.0 contents... Try to get this book... or any other one that speaks about J2ME specifically.
