Why did you include USB models in your post about new driver releases? Are they somewhere else?
Hmm... maybe you didn't look close enogh behind the link given for drivers for USB models in my post ... though, those are not new final drivers but as the previous USB driver expired 17 or 18 January, E-MU refreshed them 18 January. Also, I have not informed anything 'bout new drivers for USB but only new driver releases as the subject says.

A blank drive needs to be formatted first, you do that hold c boot (or hold option key boot) from the 10.6 install disk (or Lion USB)

Hold the option key and click on Purchases when in MAS to download your 10.7 etc.

It's highly unlikely that the 2700c will get any further updates. That model is now considered to be old and obsolete.
All you can do is wait and hope or buy a newer model that has the newer operating system on it.

If the HD is setup for Mac and plugged into the AE.. with file sharing on, it should work.
Try manually mounting the disk.
In finder use go, connect to server, and type in AFP://AEName or AFP://AEIPaddress.. where you replace what I wrote with the actual name or actual IP.
Later versions of Mac OS.. like ML for some strange reason have their preferences set by default to not show network drives.. change finder preference to see everything.

I finally got a representative that was able to help me, she had me go to Get Info, by right clicking iMovie from the finder, and I had to click on Sharing & Permissions>Everyone>Read & Write

If you're really trying to use Windows 2000, then that's the problem. As you'll see on the box, you need at least XP/SP3.

It seems that the Audigy Series has been getting Fixes and Updates and I am just wondering if the X-Fi Series Will get an updates soon?

Please do not hold me to this, but as you have all seen my driver gossip has not failed you in the past. Whether you chose to believe what I say is upto you.
The 2.09.000 drivers were supposed to be an internal release for BETA testers. Perhaps Creative are going to release a public EAX 5.0 BETA driver to go along with the Prerelease EAX 5.0 SDK sometime soon?

after investigating an issue for hours it turned out, that i need an older version of the lenovo fingerprint package for W500 (AuthenTec AES2810) fingerprint reader.
Where can i download this driver:
Driver: Fingerprint Reader for W500 Model 4061W7P (AuthenTec AES2810)
OS: Windows 7, 64-bit
Language: EN
Driver Version: 3.2.0.341 (which is the only version supported by Sophos SafeGuard Easy 5.50.8 full disk encryption and Power On Authentication using fingerprint).
I could not find any download location for older driver versions.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi Peter,
your suggestion is not an option for this issue, since i'm under time pressure and i know this will turn out to be a "who is responsible for the fix" problem.Lenovo or Sophos... Besinde this there's no rollback option, since i installed the system this week with the most recent drivers and fingerprint software.
Maybe i was not precise enough, its the AuthenTec Software Version 3.2.0.341 which i exctly need to get things working (this also includes the device driver but also other things which are recommended to enable biometric authentication). ThinkVantage System Update utility automatically selects the most recent software, which (in this case) will break biometric authentication.
Can anyone point me to a download URL where to get older Software releases. I was unable to find older releases for the fingerprint software.

Network controller...need the hardware ID for that because I don't know what model wireless card your model has. Since there is no wireless driver installed, there should be a device labeled Network Controller in the device manager under an Other Devices category. The network controller device will have a little ! mark next to it. So, find the network controller device, click on that and then click on the Details tab. Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description. Drop down on that list and select the third item (Hardware ID's). Post the top string of characters you see in the window.

New drives help for APPLE RAID Card RAID Redo

I've been happily using an Apple 3,1 MacPro with Apple RAID Card installed and connected to 4-500 GB Apple OEM drives. I'd like to redo my setup and replace the Apple drives with bigger drives. Someone said I could only use up to 2 TB drives - is this correct?
Has anyone done this or anything like it using Seagate Drives that are not Apple OEM. Will that work OK or will the Apple RAID Card want to see Apple OEM drives? Apple sells 2TB Seagates, but they cost a lot compared to non-OEM drives, but will cheaper generic Seagate Barracuddas work OK in every way?
Also, after accomplishing this upgrade, I'd like to upgrade this machine to the latest Lion and possibly even Moutain Lion System Software. Any issues perceived?
To reiterate, I'd like to increase my storage to the max in my Early 2008 MacPro3,1 which has the Apple RAID Card utilizing a RAID5. This is spec'd at "4 - 3.0 Gbps Serial ATA (SATA) controllers" but no mention is made of what the MAX Size drives that will be addressed by the RAID Card.

I thought it was an oxymoron to be using Apple RAID card, and to be happy.
It does not support drives larger than 2.2TB
Seagate's just seem to be more trouble. Any enterprise drive should do.
If you really really need RAID5 then maybe this card is useful, otherwise, no.,
There is much less than 300MB/sec x 4 in bandwith, they are shared and not independent, but the total is more like 800MB/sec maximum. Less overhead and other factors comes in more like 700MB/sec total max. \
SSDs have come a long way.
Use a PCIe cards to manage 2 x SSDs of 500GB up to 1TB
Use Disk Utility or SoftRAID 4 to manage 2-4 drive mirror or stripe arrays
10.8.4 has a bug that interferes with using 3TB and larger drives, just introduced bug.
This is the FIRST time there have been limits on drive size. And Apple RAID card. Seems the card is not getting updated firmware to address the need for larger drives. For those using SAS it is also a viable candidate.
SSD on its own to hold the system. 4 x 2TB WD Black for data and media storage. 4 x SSDs for scratch and graphic catalogues and media... all depends what your goal and use and type of programs.
No you do not need to use Apple's.
I cannot vouche for or seen someone doing so but I would hope that WD RED series would be suitable.
