New Feature - Reply from Email

Hi All,
For the convenience of participating in Lenovo Community, we have enabled a new feature - reply to forum from the email notification.
By default, users will receive email notification for topics they participate in. Now, there are buttons included in the email with this new change. See the difference below.
Note: The "Accept as Solution" will only available to the original topic poster and moderators.

  • Can I set a default Reply-From email address on my iPad/iPhone?

    In Mail for the Mac, there is an option under the Compose settings to set a default Reply-From email address for all your emails, so that, regardless of which account any email came from, you will always reply by default from one specific address. Is there a way to set a default Reply-From address on the iPad/iPhone?

  • New feature - jumping from panel to web client

    When you update your Folio Builder panel, you'll see a new feature. If you choose Folio Producer from the Folio Builder panel menu, the Folio Producer Organizer opens in your default web browser. It signs in using the same Adobe ID you used to sign in to the panel.

    This was failing when both were on the same server.
    I changed the servlets code to resp.getOutputStream().print("");
    This causes it to work correctly when both are on my local computer.
    Once I moved the web app to a different computer I get the same failure I was getting. The servlet is geing initialized and the resp.getOutputStream().print is being called.
    The applet jars are signed, but I haven't done anything to the web app.

  • Reply ("From") email account automatically changes to 2nd email account

    I have 2 email accounts setup on my iPhone. Each has their own individual incoming and outgoing servers setup.
    If someone emails me on account "A" and I reply to them, my account "B" shows is the one they receive the email from.
    There is no way these accoutns are connected and I am sure that my "From" is setup to account "A".
    Why is this happening???
    p.s. On a side note...account "A" is my web hosting account. Account "B" is Gmail.
    Ever since I downloaded 4.2.1, I keep getting a popup message saying "Cannot verify server identity"
    p.p.s. When I open up account "A" and send a new mail, account "A" shows up as "from" to those people...it only happens when I reply to an email.

  • IOS & iPhone new features questions from Android user

    Hi there. I have heard good things about the new iOS 8.3 and iPhone 6 but find certain aspects restrictive . I'm an Android user for five years running and would like to explore more on the issue / owning an iPhone by focussing on things that matter to me on my day to day use of a phone:
    1. Is there a custom equaliser setting that one can set via the iPhone or iPad itself without setting it on iTunes?
    2. Sharing photos
    I have downloaded Dropbox, signed-in, set sharing to Photos enabled and yet it doesn't show when i want to share/forward my photos. Would this sound like a bug or incompatibility with iOS?
    3. Any new battery saving option (like Android) on iOS 8.3?
    4. Any further improvements in terms of support for 3rd-party sharing & saving options like for instance in Shazam and Evernote?
    5. I have a Chromecast and i would like to cast/stream my files so i can listen to my TV. Is there any app to do that?
    6. Is there a way to save an entire article (news or a tech article) from Safari or a third-party app to another app such as Evernote or Notepad? (for reading later)

    Have you enabled Camera Upload in Dropbox's Settings?

    You can tap on the Activities icon (box with an arrow pointing up and out), tap on the More item on the bottom row (scroll to right if needed) and enable Convert to PDF. Then it can be opened in iBooks, the official PDF reader amongst other things, or install the latest Acrobat DC instead. If the article is already in PDF format, you'll find a Send To… item amongst the allowed activities.
    BTW, have you downloaded or read online the full iPhone manual?

  • How can I force the font when authoring new or replying to email?

    I have tried changing the font via TOOLS-->Options, but nothing seems to take. The resulting font is quite small.
    When I reply to an email, the font is still small. Then if I use the icon to increase the font size, sometimes my reply text reverts to the smaller font.
    This is pretty frustrating!
    I just updated to the latest release.. which is strange, as this only happened when I opend the HELP--> ABOUT which said I was on the "Release Update Channel", which to me implies automatic updates....

    If a website uses absolute values for the width property of containers then you can't force word wrap with zooming or an increased font-size.<br />
    You would need to create overriding CSS rules in Stylish to make this work or use the build-in Inspector.<br />
    Only if you visit such a website frequently (daily) then it is worth the effort to see if you can make this work.
    Current Firefox versions have a lot of web developer tools build-in.

  • Replying to Cases - Changing "From" Email

    This was my question:
    When replying to a case from within the BC system I click "New Message" (from within the case) and type my message and hit send. However, it only gives me the option for one from email address, the email I am logged in with. Is there a way to change this email address to another email that I am using within the system? For instance I have [email protected] and I want the email to come from that email, not my login email. Is this possible?
    I was told by Live Chat that this is not possible and the only email address I can send from is the one used to login.
    I would like to make a feature request to, hopefully, be added in the future. With most of my clients they only have one login to the system and this login can be in majority of cases outside of the domain (especially if using BC email). Instead of having the reply sent from the login email it would be beneficial to have the choice of what email to send from. These can be verified in the system as you do email marketing "from" email addresses. This way an user with one login can send a reply from [email protected], [email protected], etc. whatever email address is appropriate.

    Don't know if this helps, but I had similar issue - only with GMail. I could only send messages 'from' my GMail address (which I don't really use - I have my own address) and couldn't change this - even though in the web based version of GMail I can.
    When creating a new account, instead of selecting 'Google Mail' from the 'Add account' screen, I selected 'other' and entered the settings manually - this allowed me to select another email address for the account whilst still putting in all the correct IMAP/SMTP account details. With a little bit of playing with the setup I got it all to work exactly the same as the original account which I then just disabled.
    So I guess you just need to look up the correct settings for use with MobileMe and enter them manually... but putting in the email address you want to use on the very first screen (the name/address/password/description screen)

    Can anyone help me out in listing out all the new features available in ECC 6.0 for Finance users which do not need any implementation effort and which can be used directly?
    For eg: I am looking for any new features apart from New GL. New GL needs implementation effort.

  • Reply to emails from new email notification area (top left) in status bar?

    Hi, all
    setting up the new playbook. everything is working: email, internet, tethering, blackberry bridge...
    I have come across one problem though:
    i found that I cannot reply to an email when open from notification area. i.e when new email arrives, ntification flashes in the corner. when I press to open the new email I see all the buttons, but nothing happens. I would very muxh like to reply to email from that window.
    Is there something wrong with the playbook, or is it designed that way?

    Works just fine for me. The list opens when Itap the notification area. When I tap on the title or letter icon  for the new email, it opens in edit-reply mode.
    Edit: Not quite the truth... I have to click on the reply icon at the bottom of the just-opened message  - the envelope icon with the left green arrow.

  • Feature Request:- Option to reply to reply to emails in text

    Hi there....
    Is it possible to set up replying to emails to send text (with no html)
    If not, can i get a feature request to send emails in text, or is there an app that has this feature?
    It is sad I get maybe between 40 and 100 emails a day, that I cannot reply to on my Touchpad, or Pre 2, as they only allow text email return.
    as of 2007, there were over 109 million yahoo group members across 8.8 million groups. Mostly support forums, sending and recieving emails to and from 109 million people.
    These support forums and other ghelp yahoo groups, require emails to be received in text, and in our email apps had to set for text only, to avoid viruses and other attempts at marketting.
    I get my yahoo support emails, on webos, but cannot reply from webos, and have to wait until i get to my laptop with thunderbird.
    please can you add text send/reply option for those 109 million plus yahoo group users who cannot reply to yahoo groups emails.

    Managing layered PSD files in Aperture
    For those who absolutely must manage layered PSD files in Aperture, here is the way to do it...
    1- In your original PSD file, HIDE ALL LAYERS above the background layer
    2- IMPORT this PSD file into Aperture
    3- CREATE A VERSION in Aperture by choosing to edit externally in Photoshop.
    4- Back in Photoshop OPEN THE ORIGINAL PSD file along with the new version
    5- LINK all the LAYERS in the original PSD file and DRAG them TO the new VERSION (holding the shift key down so they pin register)
    6- SAVE the new version in Photoshop
    7- Back in Aperture your version is now an exact layered copy of your original which will not flatten when reopened from Aperture into Photoshop.
    Obviously this process will be rather tedious if you need to deal with hundreds of layered PSD files, but if you are in that situation that implies you already have a workflow and a storage strategy that works well for you. So why change, especially to Aperture?
    Adobe Bridge or Media Pro or Portfolio are the obvious programs for you !

  • Missing contact when "create new contact" from email or number

    I am having a really strange problem on my iPhone and think it will be a fun mystery to solve. Please help me!
    It is currently set up with google so that my mail/notes are using gmail IMAP and my contacts/calendars are using Google Sync. So far it's been working pretty well except for all the known many bugs and issues (please fix these, google!). I have no other email, calendar, or contact accounts set up (not even syncing with my computer).
    I received an email from a friend who I did not yet have a contact for, so in the email header I clicked her name and chose to "Create new contact." As usual, the email address was already in the "email" field, so I just edited her name and filled out the "company" field and pressed Done. The "from" field in the email updated to show that the contact had been added to my phone and that it recognized the email as being from her.
    Now, I go to add a number to her contact and when I navigate through my contacts list, her name is no where to be seen. I've tried searching through the contacts by using the search bar at the top of both the Phone and the Contacts apps, but nothing shows up. However, when I compose an email and start typing her address, it recognizes her as a contact. Even weirder, I just tried the entire phone search spotlight feature, and it found her contact right away, as if it were any normal contact. When I click on it, it brings me to her contact page, which I cannot edit, and when I press the little left arrow "Contacts" in the top left of the screen to go back to the whole listing, she's not there!
    When I go to add contacts using the little + symbol in the top right of the phone app, it works normally and the contact appears as usual. But every time I try to do a new contact from email, this happens! Choosing to "update existing contact" works fine, though. So I've been forced to create an empty contact with her name in the Phone app, and then add the email to it.
    Please help my find where in my phone this contact is residing, and how to bring it out so I can find it. I have tried force-quitting the relevant apps from the multi-task dock, and even turning off and on my phone, but to no luck.
    Update: Just tried creating a new contact from a phone number I've previously dialed and the same thing happens! Where are my contacts going?? This is so weird!
    Not sure if this is just a google sync issue, but I figured I'd post it in case other people are having similar issues

    Country / Language: USA English
    OS: iOS 4

    I recently experienced a similar event. I was adding from Contacts "+" button on the iPhone 4. I completed entering the data & hit "done". I went back to add a photo. I hit "done" & went to test the result. No new contact. Search did not find it. Tried two more times with different contacts. Same result.
    At one point, the "All Contacts" directory went blank. Nothing. Seconds later the contacts returned. Scary. I rebooted the iPhone. No new contacts but old ones fine.
    I then entered with an old iPhone on OS 3.2 same data. Showed quickly via MobileMe. On the new iPhone added photo the photo. All OK. From an iPad, OS3 I did the same. Added photo in new phone. All OK. I added from the new iPhone including photo. All OK.
    The iPhone IOS4 reboot may be the answer. Wish I had tried older systems before reboot.

  • Recommendation for a new feature - alert when an important email arrives

    Why can't I set my iPhone to give me an alert when an important email arrives?  This new feature would alert me when I get an email from a predetermined sender or subject line.  AOL offers this feature.  Why can't my iPhone do it too?  The phone would need to read the sender address and subject line of each email, and then bounce it against a list of pre-configured alerts that the user programs. 
    This would also cut down on data consumption, since users would not have to check and recheck their mail when waiting for somethign important.  With an alert, you just set it and forget it.

    iOS 6, coming this fall, will include a new feature that allows you to designate a VIP list for just this purpose.  This feature will be supported on the iPhone 4.  See "Mail" here: http://www.apple.com/ios/ios6/.

  • Forwarding one iCloud email to another & replying from the correct address

    I have 2 iCloud accounts and to make things easier for me, I want to forward one to the other, which I am aware how to do. However, when I hit "reply" to an email, the address showing is the address I am "forwarding to", NOT the address the email was initially sent to. Is there a way to change/fix this, so that when I press "reply" it will automatically reply from what ever email address it was sent to?

    First, turn everything off for iCloud...contacts, calendars, FaceTime, iMessage, notes, Find My Phone, etc. You'll be prompted to keep the data on your phone or delete it...select keep. Then: Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, set everything back up using your new ID.

  • I have an iPad mini retior new messagna. How do I stop iCloud from asking ID every time I press icons to write new message/reply. This only started 3 days ago  and is really annoying. I have tried most things apart from reset.

    I Have an iPad mini ios 8.02 with retina screen from 3 days ago email asks for iCloud ID every time I press icon for new message/reply. Although I can press cancel and still write message. This is most annoyin. Any solutions

    For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices. 
    That all works.
    It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now.  They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
    I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.
