New I have a I Pod Clasic with 3000 songs. The I Tunes Library was deleted when a System recovery was accidently ran. How do I Import the contents of I Pod back into the I Tunes Library?

My friend accidently ran a System Recovery on my computer when he was cheking out different buttons on the computer. He caused the I Tunes library as well as everything else I had on the computer to be deleted. The I Pod that I have has nearly 3000 songs that I originally downloaded to the computer from CD's, they were not purchased from the I Tunes Store. How can I restore the ITunes library on my computer by uploading these songs from the IPod? I want to be careful that I don't accidently delete them from the IPod while I'm trying to coppy them back to the library.

You can transfer the purchases you made on your old iPhone 3 by plugging it in to iTunes and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases from your IPhone to the iTunes on your computer. This will get music you purchased in iTunes, apps, etc. (e.g., movies).
But for the rest you would need to restore a backup of your newly deceased computer.

I had the same problem with my iPad, i couldn't get the newer version of itunes because the computer was too old and my iPad couldnt sync with the old itunes. I got a PC from school a few months later so that solved the problem for me. Unfortunately i don't think there would be a program to put your music on your iPod, iTunes should be the only way to transfer files to Apple devices. Experimental advice (in this particular context) coming up.
Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
... and click OK. Quit and restart the QuickTime Player prior to checking to see if the settings change has had any effect.

I have an iPod Touch 2 with iOS 4.2.1. This is the highest version that works on this device. I checked it once and it had to do with iOS 4.3 and above only supporting the higher RAM CPUs on newer devices.
Apple does make it harder than it needs to be. There still remain a number of apps available on iTunes that will work but they are hard to find because you must manually look at each app specs to see if the app supports an iOS below 4.3
App backups are your friend since iTunes has no way to keep older version of apps.

You can more easily add internal drives in a Mac Pro.
Not too terribly easy to add/replace drives in an iMac.

The nice thing about owning this overpriced POS is that Apple not only doesn't support it, but also doesn't want to hear about anything negative regarding it. So I spoke to the so-called "support" people at Apple who successfully screwed up my contacts beyond repair. I got a nice email from Apple asking me to rate the support I got. I was actually civil and described the issue tactfully. What do I get in return? Nothing. Not a damned thing!! You're luck you've got me by the short hairs on a 2 year contract but I'm still tempted to throw this POS through the front window of the nearest Apple store!! I tried all steps but nothing helped. Worse than that only the pram key combination works I cant get the cmd-r or just alt or any combination to work??? Any suggestions would help. Thanks!
P.s. I am on mountain lion with ssd encryption enabled. The mac froze when the internet stopped the one from the cable (I use ethernet usb one) when I turned wifi on it froze. I have disconnected everything when trying the steps except power cable.

Boot into Internet Recovery (command-option-R at the startup chime) and try to repair the boot volume in Disk Utility. You will have to unlock the volume before you can do anything with it.
