New IOS download causing game apps to run slower
Since I've downloaded the new IOS my game apps (especially words with friends) is running significantly slower. Is anybody else experiencing the same?
*****...sorry...I did not have that happen...mine stayed in place... something may have gone slightly wrong during your upgrade

I have an iphone 4s and have installed the new ios download and can no longer find games and other apps that i have downloaded. Where would they be or have they been wiped?
Hi,
don´t be worry, this would not be a problem.
You have to take the same Aplle ID on both devices, then you can sync them via iTunes by using all universal apps on each device, create playlists, albums and all the things you need and sync it, no problem...

Hi, I recently installed itunes on my PC. I downloaded a game app and it is showing in the main "apps" screen, but unfortunately I can not run or start the app. clicking on it does not open or do any thing.
I will aprreciate any help!
thanks.Apps downloaded via iTunes will be for iDevices only. They will not run on a computer.

I am trying to download a game app and it is frozen says waiting. How do I cancel it?
If you are downloading multiple apps then they will download one at a time. If it's just the one app that you are downloading (and you're using wifi if it's over the 20 meg limit for 3G), then try a reset and see if it resumes loading after the iPad has restarted : ress and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How do I download a game app from iTunes to my game centre?
How do I download a game app from my Itunes to me game centre? Im trying to play Dragonvale!
Hello Tamara,
Did you download the game directly to you're divice (iPad/iPhone)?
The game should automatically pop-up in Game-center once you've been playing it (if it uses Game-center).
If the game prompts you to link Game-center, do it ;-).
Happy gaming! -
Parallel hint causes a query to run slower?
I have an insert...select query where the select is a join between a table with one billion rows (although there is a where clause on an indexed column that restricts it to "only" 300 million), a table with 30 million rows, and a table with about 100,000 rows, where the result is about 20 rows. When I first ran it, it took about 2 hours. I added a Parallel hint, and explain plan showed that it was being used (and v$session showed that I had about 30 additional connections while it ran). but not it takes four hours.
Is there a reason parallel processing would cause a query to run slower?

Why can't I download Creative Cloud apps when running Linux?
Using Linux (Mint), when trying to download any CC app, e.g. Photoshop CC I am told:
"You are running an operating system that Photoshop no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements below for a full list of supported platforms."
I have an active membership, why do you care which operating system I run? (I am not talking about installation or anything else)
In my opinion it's bad practice to exclude your customers from downloading the products they paid for!
Looking forward to an explanation! Thanks. Most of the Adobe applications only run on Windows and Mac OS. You can see the System Requirements by going to https://creative.adobe.com/products and choosing a product. Then chose the System Requirements tab. So for Photoshop you will see:
There are the Touch app which run mostly on iOS with PS Touch running on Android too.
No applications run on Linux. -
After updating new IOS 7, the background colors on Notes, Calendar, Contact are impossible to look at? Is there any way to change it, or should I just look to change from ipad, iphone to Google Nexus or Samsung Galaxy? which are getting better and better.
ThanksSend Apple Feedback a note, http://www.apple.com/feedback/
There's a lot of things I like about iOS 7 but it now needs a night mode since everything is going to a white background. I used to put my iPhone in a car mount for quick access to the display for some apps (just the display, I stop to use it). Now it is too bright at night for highway use and more of a distraction requiring the display to be turned off. -
I downloaded the new ios update and most icons dissappeared form the homepage. They are still in the phone under settings however I am unable to access them or return them to the homepage. Help!

New ios safari and mail app bug!
after installed the new ios 7.0.2 safari crashes and is slower. even more serious is the problem with mail app which now is useless!! are they gone to fix this serious problems or I lost the most important apps of my device?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -
New update has caused itunes not to run
i clicked on the new update for itunes, and successfully went through all the new install, but when i go to run itunes it comes up "itunes updating". It wont allow me to click on anything else and freezes the screen. I have tried uninstalling itunes several times and re-installing but this does no use, and i am left with the same message.
I just did some research and found the answer to my problem. It might be the same as yours.
Try this website: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302856
I found out that my problem was user-specific, and when I moved the itunes preference file to my desktop my problem was solved. itunes no longer froze when I opened it. Good luck! -

I was told by a second source store today that the hard drives in an iMac 07 model run slower with time, mine is a little over three years old. Is this an accurate statement?
Computer slow downs can be caused by numerous things, age is not one of them. There is some really good reading here, I'm sure if you look 25 Ways to Speed Up Your Mac closely you will be able to regain some lost performance.
BTW in your signature you list some antivirus software....that could be a cause right there as it's not needed on a Mac.

Script on page causing flash player to run slow
I am trying to use webmaker( magix) and as I get to the load
page I get this message... script on this page is making flash
player run slow and may cause computer to be unresponsive do you
want to abort after 4 days of trying could anyone tell me what the
problem could be pleaseI don't understand why I would use onEnterFrame(). The entire
program only needs one frame to exist on, but maybe I don't
understand how Flash needs to manage these things. I am a C++/Cocoa
programmer rewriting a program that my boss made years ago in
Visual BASIC. What made it work for him was to call DoEvents every
600 itterations, which pauses the execution so that the system can
catch up with it's own stuff. Are you saying that onEnterFrame will
do this too? How will this work if the calculation only starts when
a button is pressed. Does the entire calculation routine need to
take place on a different frame?
Could you explain these things? -
