New iPad air camera

I have a new iPad air with OS 7.0.3. The camera app is not allowing me to switch between camera and video mode. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem and followed the above advice. It would be clearer to say that where you have the three options photo, video and square, you need to swipe the one, not to the centre of the screen but just up or down in the location to highlight that option.

When you restore from back up, the process will restore the OS and some initial data, it will then restart and allow you to use your device while the remaining data is downloaded and restored in the background. have you allowed enough time for this to complete.

What is the correct charger for the new iPad Air 2?

Our new iPad Air 2 came with a 10Watt charger. Went to the apple store to get a spare. The Apple folk insist the 12 watt unit is what it needs - sold my will two. Just trying to figure out which is correct for a new Model= 'MGKL2LL/A' iPad Air 2.

I would guess the Air 2 got a 10 Watt Charger, because the battery in the Air 2 is a bit smaller than the battery in the Air.

I have a new Ipad Air and have noticed everytime I open the screen the charge has reduced. over night it dropped from 58% to below 10 with a low battery warning.
The screen was asleep, cellular switched off, Bluetooth on for the keyboard. all setting infact the same as my last model which performed excellently.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Can I get iwork apps for free in old mac after purchasing new ipad air

I just got a new ipad air which came along with free iwork and ilife apps. I would like to know whether I can transfer the apps to my macbook pro for free?
As when I browse through app stores it actually shows as not purchased.

I was under the impression they were separate apps. When you bought your iPad Air, you got the iOS versions, but if you want the MacOS versions, you will need to purchase them.
They were free when you purchased a new iOS/MacOS product, but the free software would most likely coincide with that.

After a little more searching across various online resources I was able to cure it by holding down the home button and the on/off button for 10 seconds to restart it and it all came back with a clear screen.

I find it silly that Apple wont let the camera app on the new ipad air take panorama pictures when 3rd party app do. Apple why make something as wonderfull as the new ipad air, then cripple it with a sub standerd camera app.
My iPhone 4 that is over 3 years old has the same camera app.

Feel a static sensation on the back of new iPad Air when charging?

When plugged into the wall charging socket my new iPad Air produces a tingling/static sensation when the back of it is touched. Sensation is reduced when two hands holding it, but still present.
Not great.

Thanks. I got the problem fixed. Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor. It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner. Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail. I checked all the specifics between the three units. It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com to TWC.com. Since the new ipad air was just set up, it fell under the new TWC mail specifics.

Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.
