New iTouch 3rd gen issues

Hi! My son just bought his itouch and inmediatly after opening the package went to the computer & plugged it as asked on itouch's screen. We proceeded to register it and it says it needed a new software version available. After waiting for an hour it finally ended and started updating and then suddenly a window that said FOund New Hardware Wizard appeared. It asked for a CD to install the new Hardware (the itouch?) we selected the option for it to find the software needed, then it asked for an installation CD, clicked next..then it said the wizard was searching for an Apple Mobile Device (recovery Mode)& then said the hardware was not installed because the wizard couldn't find the software. The screen on the Itouch shows the Itunes logo and the USB cable, we reset the Itouch and the same thing appears on the screen, we plugged it again and again the same new hardware wizard window appears. HERLP!!!

Is it safe to use the new ipad (3rd gen) while on charge

I have the New Ipad (3rd Gen) 32gb wifi onlymodel,, and I use it while on charge i notice that it took way longer to charge while i use... will in not damage the devoce nor the batter if i use it while on charge?

Itouch 3rd gen

My itouch 3rd gen was working fine until i tried to lock the screen. The lock button stopped working so i reset in itunes. It would not restore to any backups so i restored as new ipod. Power button works again but when i start up, it gets to the lock screen, freezes, and the loading circle comes on. I have restored about 5 times, reset, and everything else mentioned on apple's troubleshooting guide. Any other suggestions besides taking it in?

Itouch 3rd gen not recognised in Windows vista but ok in itunes (code 10 error)

Windows Vista pc running latest itunes. pc will recognise itouch 3rd gen in itunes but not in explorer. device driver posts a code 10 error. checked for update driver, response in latest driver installed (digital camera). Need help to be able to download photos in itouch.

Thanks IIIaass, I have checked to see that the Vista pc hase the lastest driver (confirmed latest drivers, incl MTP USB drivers) and tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes no luck.
I am having the same problem on another computer running windows 7 - itunes ok but code 10 error as well. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes on this pc as well - no luck.
Any other suggestions?

Do you clean your iPad screen? Do not use standard window cleaners, with ammonia or alcohol, like Windex, but a damp towel, followed by a micro-fibre cloth is recommended. There are also cleaners you can buy which are specifically designed for iPad/iPhone devices, such as iClean from Monster.

Can't update Itouch 3rd gen to iSO 5?

I know for sure its a Itouch 3rd Gen 32GB. I have the latest version of Itunes and every time I try to download the update it times out right after 99%. I have tried disabling all antivirus and firewalls but it still doesn't work. HELP?!

Hi im wondering if there is going to be a facetime app for the itouch 3rd gen? that will be able to connect to a computer with a webcam!! something like the icam app. Do you think this will ever happen??

I doubt it since the earlier iPod do not have a camera. The FaceTime Beta app for Intel Mac computers will not install if the computer does not have a camera.

ITouch 3rd Gen can't send emails, but can receive

Hi. A friend of mine has a new iTouch 3rd Generation, which is pretty much fine! It can recieve emails but cannot sent them. If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated!

Just get into "General" -> last option is "RESET" -> Opt for "RESET NETWORK SETTINGS"
Your phone will reeboot in a couple of minutes n then get fine on with full signal on the wifi scale.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

How many do you have now? There is a limit to the number of home pages you can have that will limit how many apps will be displayed, but that does not limit the ability to add more. It just means they will not be displayed. You can use the search function to locate them, however.

erm where can i buy Wall Charger for itouch 3rd gen without/non USB in singapore?

I never heard of 2X vs 5X LCD screen for the iPod Touch. This place sell screens and the prices seem reasonable. You will have to maneuver around the site to find your model iPod.
