New "Policy" *Need to be confirmed*

While finacing a product the apple employee was telling me that he had to keep my barcode ( which is used to purchase things ) and my application which contained my soical serurity etc.. I asked for the manager and he told me the same thing. End of story there was no chance in **** they will stay with that information because I told it even if they refused. They kept making up crap like oh its our new policy because lots of customers have been losing their barcode. I just want this new "policy" confirmed.

This is an international user to user community.  No one here can confirm "Apple's" policy on such matters.  You will need to get that info from the horses mouth, not from strangers on a message board.
Call Apple Customer Relations - 1-800-767-2275.  Ask politely & firmly that you want to be transferred to Customer Relations.  Tell them exactly what you stated in your post.

    I’m writing to contest a $29.99 monthly charge, which is contracted for 24 months amounting to $720 in total. The charge is for a data plan which I did not knowingly agree to, and verizon is unwilling to remove from the account even though the phone on the line does NOT use data.
    The backstory of the issue:
    On September 19, 2014 I waited in line at an Apple store to purchase a new iPhone on launch day.  I opened a new basic line of service for $9.99 a month on my account so I could purchase a discounted phone from Verizon. When purchasing the phone, the representative explained that he was going to have to put a basic data package on the line for $15 a month, but that it would be removed once I transferred the phone to an existing line on the account.  After the purchase was complete, we transferred the phone to an exisitng line, and the represented confirmed that the data package would not be charged to my account and therefore I would only have to pay $9.99 a month for the basic line of service for two years. A couple weeks pass and I receive my bill, I notice that the data plan is still listed on my account and has also increased to $29.99 a month!  I call Verizon to see what is going on, they tell me that they have just implemented a new policy that states if I purchased a smart phone on a basic account and then transfer the phone to a differnt line that I will have to pay $29.99 a month for data even if the new phone that is currently on the line does not use data! I told them I was not informed of this, and was actually told the complete opposite when signing up for service.  They refuse to remove the data package, and will not let me cancel the account without charging  me $350.  The representative on the phone said that the representative in the store was a sales person and most likely did not have the training to inform them of the new policy change, and that they could not honor what he told me.
    I should be able to rely on and trust what a Verizon wireless representative is telling me, I was not aware of the new policy and did not knowingly agree to this policy. And in that case, I would like to point out that I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 15 years humbly request that you clear this $29.99 monthly charge from my account as a gesture of good faith.
    I have spent over 7 hours on the phone with verizon trying to get this resolved to no avail. I have also filed a complaint with the attorney generals office, and plan to persue this until it is fully resolved.

    This agreement and the documents it incorporates form the entire agreement between us. You can't rely on any other documents, or on what's said by any Sales or Customer Service Representatives, and you have no other rights regarding Service or this agreement.
    They gotcha! And that policy change was listed here and other places on the net.
    Its either pay that or the early termination fees.
    Verizon will not grant you a mistake forgiveness clause.
    If they do it for you they would have to do it for everyone.

  • My brand new phone needs to be replaced but i dont want a referbished one

    i've had my droid dna for a little under 5 months. it needs to be replaced. i've had nothing but issues with it. ive had the SIM card replaced 3 times now, its been reset and everything and it still has issues dropping calls constantly, won't let me access my apps, or gets a defective sim card sign at the top and i have to shut it off and back on to get it to work again. my problem is, i just got this phone, i dont want to trade for a refurbished one. i didnt pay over 200$ for this plus my upgrade to trade it for a refurbished phone with all their issues. ive never had anything but problems with them. my last phone (a gem) had to be replaced 4 times. i want a new phone. so my question is who do i need to talk to or what do i need to do to get a new one?

    They will send you a refurbished one rest assured.  Here's how to beat them at their game.
    Go to any local Verizon phone store and sign up for $21.05 for GRIP & New Policy.  You will get a new phone for the discounted price(any phone that you want).  They will take your old phone, must be in good working condition. You don't even have to extend your Verizon Contract.  Once you have your new phone you can cancel the GRIP contract or keep it. I would keep the contract, this way you can walk into any Verizon Store and get a new phone anytime you want for the discounted price. (NO EXTENSION ON YOUR CONTRACT).  Verizon Stores are independent contractors and will explain all the details to you.

    Last year one of my family members took my upgrade.We have 3 phones on the family plan(2 basic phones, and my smartphone).So then I decide to go into an official Verizon store a year later and use my dads upgrade on his phone(basic phone) to upgrade my smartphone.One of the sales reps there says I can do that but now the changed the policy saying that if I use  my father's upgrade he will now get charged the same as a smart phone.So it will be an extra 10 dollars a month.This doesn't make since.In reality we have 2 basic phones and one smartphone but if I take his upgrade they will charge us as 1 basic and 2 smart phones.It made me mad and I instantly left .Is this the new policy?I'm considering a new carrier.

        jvohland, there's no need to go anywhere. We want to continue as your wireless carrier. When upgrading on your father's line, this will extend his contract. However, the monthly access fee will not increase if he continues to have a basic phone activated on his line. We apologize for any confusion this matter may have caused you.

    after few days of setting up the ZESM , but then i was unable to find is there any setting which can "AUTO PUBLISH " into the Client side . Without the Client need to use the manual "UPDATE POLICY " button ?
    Because , we find it that to make it silent update without the CLIENT side need to manually click the UPDATE POLICY , so i would wonder is there any way to have the AUTO UPDATE the policy from SERVER side ?

    2.2.1 is not the latest available for any ipod touch.
    Is yours the original ipod touch?

  • I had my iPad 2 replaced by Apple today. All my backup was iCloud and so proceeded to restore from iCloud backup point but couldn't proceed as the new iPad needed iOS 7. How can I get I get around this?

On the new iPad I tried to restore from iCloud backup point but was told I was unable to do this as the new iPad needed to have the latest running system iOS 7 loaded. Is there a way I can do this so I can get my iCloud backup or do I need to go back to Applestore and get an iPad preloaded with iOS 7?

    If you feel comfortable you can do the Update to iOS 7 yourself and after you have successfully done that... then Restore your iCloud Back Up.
    If you are not comfortable in doing it yourself... Then go back to the Apple Store and get them to do it.
    They will be Happy to assist you.

    If they just delete iTunes, the music files should still be there. I suggest making a backup of them though. Locate your iTunes folder (The one that contains your library file) and just copy the whole thing to your Documents folder or wherever you like (Just not in the same directory of the original folder otherwise the computer will get confused and could confuse your iTunes library). Then you will have a backup of all your music, plus if you purchased it from iTunes, you will still have it linked to your Apple ID so you can re-download them to any computer with iTunes on it when you feel like it.

    You have to Generate the table maintenance for this custom table in SE11.
    After generating the table maintenace for this table there will be a program name
    and screen number for this table.
    The program name can be identified after running the maintenance generator.
    System->Status->Program(screen)

    The program will be generated with SAPLZXXXXXXX

    Hi, i am using Access manager version 7 but I could not create policy for my new realm via the /amserver web console. The 'New Policy' and 'New Referral' buttons are always disabled. There is information message at the top "A referral policy with referred resources must be created to this realm in order to create policies in this realm". Any idea on how to add new policy ?

    You have to create a referral policy from a higher level realm, ie the top level realm to this realm first.

    Hi I am using LabVIEW DSC 7.1 for programming my application. My VI contains NI hypertrend which I am publishing on a browser using the web publishing tool. When I open the web browser on a different computer I get this error- Component works  Error loading Control. A newer version needed. The default settings for the control will be used. I have disabled firewall, pop up blocker etc...but for some reason it keeps giving me the same error. I read the knowledge base and it talks something about the .OCX file. I am not sure what I am supposed to do..I also have the DSC runtime installed in my machine. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

    If you're on a 64-bit OS, OCX files  must be in the folder: %windir% \ SysWOW64 
    and not in %windir% \ System32 (only for 32 bits OS)

    I think I'm having a very similar issue. My iTunes is stuck on a version 9 & won't allow me to upgrade it. My MacBook Pro won't read my iPhone through iTunes until a version 10 or newer is downloaded.
