Dear,
Currently, I'm trying some features of ColdFusion, (8.0.1).
I'm a newbee in cfform (flash). Please have a look into my code.
The text '123' should change in '456' by onclick. But, it doesn't.
Please help me to to fix this or more documentation.

Set Category for multiple IR's via Button in Taskbar

Hi!
I have been searching the net for this for some time now, but wasn't successful, so maybe here is somebody who could help me. Hope I did select the correct forum for this thread...
In SCSM 2012 - is it possible to set the category for multiple IRs in one step via button in the taskbar, same like being able to assign multiple IRs to Analysts or change Status via button in taskbar, without need to open each IR and set it in there?
Any hint would really be appreciated :-)

Yes it's possible, but I'm unaware of any solution out there that you can just plug&play. (Somebody might know of one, though!)
If you're a developer (or know a developer), then you can create a custom console task in Visual Studio, bundle it with a management pack, and import that management pack.

To solve your specific request, the console task code will (again, at a high level) present a window for the user to choose a classification category. Then, after clicking apply on that window, the console task code will iterate through all of the "nodes"
sent as a parameter to the console task. A "node" represents an incident selected by the user in the incident view. For each incident in the list, set the classification category to whatever value the user selected, then apply the changes to
that incident.

Pass variable values with VBA and BI 7.0 funtions to Query
At first a remark u2013 Iu2019ve read a lot of threads saying that passing values to a query can be done by using VBA code only. Iu2019ve tested it but Iu2019m not sufficient with the new BEX 7.0 API and therefore I use a mixture of BEX 7.0 funtionality and VBA. I create a BEX 7.0 design item button passing the values to a query u2013 I hide this button somewhere on the sheet or on a hidden sheet and I then raise the event to click the button from VBA code. Works fine and the maintenance is easier if something changes in the API in the future again.
How to start:
Switch to design mode in BEX Analyzer:
Implement a BEX 7.0 design item u201Cbuttonu201D
Click on the button to implement the properties
Make the input for the commands

No comes the part with the variables u2013 Letu2019s assume a query has 4 variables but you only want to change 1 with the button u2013 an organizational unit for instance.
Make a range somewhere in the excel with the following structure:

Value should contain the name of your variable of course and u201Cvalueu201D the value of your variable
Set a name for this range with EXCEL functionality but without the header:

In the left upper Corner you have a name for your button:

Hi,
Please check the work item in the backend system and see if if &_WI_OBJECT_ID& is empty. This could happen if you are not passing the object instance to the work item via binding or the object instance in the workflow container is not filled at all. If the workflow container does not have the object instance then you need to check the binding between your event container and the workflow container. If the workflow is triggered via code then check why the object instance is snot filled.

Not able to get changed values in the SAVE EVENT in ServHPartnerDet view

Code i have written in the CREATE_CONTEXT_NODE method for my custom context nodes( IBHEADER,IBASEADDRESS).

How to change value in database using oracle form

- i have a table called mobilephone with quantity column
- i already created a list of quantity inside my form with elements 1-5
- what i want is when i press a button inside my form it will automatically deduct the value i chose from list to the database

I agree with Roel, but it might not be enough for you. This depends on the usage, and more specifically the number of concurrent users that might do the same kind of transactions.
If user1 has selected 5 phones, and at the same time user2 has selected 6 phones, then only at the moment they hit the "Apply Changes" or "Create" button, will they know whether they the number of phones they require are actually available.
If this scenario is highly unlikely to occur, I would go with the trigger as Roel indicated. If it is likely to occur, you might want to consider using Javascript to immediately check the availability through a database function call. This will require some database changes, that I could elaborate on. But I will wait until you indicate that this is indeed what you need.

Changing values in grid

Is there a way of changing values in grid using radio buttons
or dropdown list?

Yes, exactly that however I would like to be able to change
values from either radio button selection or dropdown list.
From my research on the web I found that flash forms won't
list values in a drop down box only the applet version will handle
the dropdown selection.
Since your are from the adobe. Could you let me know of a
best way or practice to debug flash forms. It is time consuming to
trouble shoot since all you got is a blank page.
Does Flex 2 takes care of all the limits of CFFORMS?

Other value check button disabled on Values of batch char

The other values check button gets disabled after batch char. is
created. We have many batch chars which have been created already and
we need to link them to Master inspection characteristics. We can't
link the qualitative characterisitcs to MIC unless selected set is
assigned to batch char. This requirment is not for quantitative char's.
So those are working fine. But qualitative characteristics are not
working because of this issue. Please let us know what is the
fix/workaround.

The qualitative general characteristic has already been used and has values recorded in batches from what you are indicating. You will not be able to change this characteristic unless you delete all the characteristic values from the batches, then delete the characteristic from all classes it is used in. Once added, you'd have to go back to each batch and select the right value for each batch that had a value prior to the change. This is usually not practical in a live system.
You will need to make a new general characteristic from scratch and link it with your MIC's. Then add the new characteristic to the classes. I suggest you change the old general characteristic to 'hidden' in all the classes so users don't use it anymore.
You will need to update any COA profiles using the characteristic and any batch search strategies as well. For COA's, you can include both the old and new characteristic and make them both optional. One or the other should then print. At some point in the future, go back to the COA profiles and delete the old characteristic and make the new one required.
There is no 'easy' fix for this. It is time consuming in a live system. You might be able to set up a couple of LSMW's to help ease the pain depending on how many you have to change.

thanks for replying. I-m new with java forum, so I don't know if it is correct the code tags...
Anyway... the problem is that the Field of reflected object could be both of Object types or primitive types. So I cannot use the general method "set" when changing Field's value.
Maybe somebody else had the same problem...
Seems in C# it is a very easy thing... not in java :(

Urgent..getting default & changed values in ALV editable....have ur point.s

When ur doing the CHECK_CHANGED_DATA, u ll get the edited values inside this callback sub -routine only. so here u trap the values those are changed ( thats after editing).
Once the control goes back to the original program ( calling prog ) , u ll end up with ur old data ( before editing).
you ll have to handle that explictly in your code, or shift to OO alv grid like this -

Change Value A based on Value B in Web UI in cross component

Hi Friends,
I have a requirement to populate value A based on selection of value B in differenet component.
I have a web ui screen to create a complaint ( Component A ). After saving when I am clicking on follow up button, it will take me to next web ui screen ( Component B ) i.e. service order. Here I have a status field and after its selection when I have save. I also want to change value A of component A field.
Kindly suggest..how can I achive this.

Hi Narendra,
It depends on what the exact fields are. If you change a value in component A and this change goes to the BOL layer, then this changed value should always be accessible in component B if you use the same BOL object and BOL relation to access the data. And you can always change the value from component B and it should already change in component A. The only thing you need to ensure is to call publish_current( ) method on the node where you change the value or call a BOL code modify( ).
