Newbie: make a .swf run once

I am trying to make a simple movie to run only once.
I have put an actionsscript in the very last frame:

i = i + 1;
if (i==2){
stop ();
trace (i);
but it keeps looping.
The final .swf has to run from within Acrobat 9.
Can you give me at tip what I am doing wrong?

Thanks you - simple, then I guess flash buttons (play - pause - stop) will still function if placed in Acrobat 9 as a .swf

I was wondering if anyone has a way to make business rules run one period at a time before moving on to the next to the next time period (i.e. January 2014 calc prior to moving on to February 2014). In past SQL this could be achieved with a piece of script *CALC_EACH_PERIOD. Is there anything like this that can be applied in the NW platform for Business Rules? I have some logic that I want to run through a package on multiple periods at once. Part of this logic contains a Business Rule that uses a value from the preceding period. the Business rule appears to be calculating all time periods selected in the package at once so it is missing the piece that is supposed to come from the prior month unless the package is run one period at a time. I need the logic to run sequentially by time period (oldest first) when more than one time period is selected.

Newbie, please help--swf files work fine separately, don't work when on same page

Hello all,
I am new to flash, and piecing together different templates to try and learn things.
I have run across a strange problem. When I load products2.swf by itself, I can call the two "copy" files and everything works. When I open 0342.swf (the index page), I can switch between the home and products2 pages, but I can't view the "copy" pages.
I'm guessing there may be some sort of conflict with variable names, but I have been messing with it for most of today.
I have uploaded all of the FLA files to here:

If you make an swf file out of each of the attached items, and open the 0342 file, you will see what is supposed to be happening.
Any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.

I added the code and uploaded an example of what it does.
When I put "this._lockroot=true" into the first frame of the products.swf file, this occurs:

i.e. you can click over to the products page, but you can not navigate back clicking the "Home" button does not bring up the home page, it refreshes the product page. You are also not able to switch between the two text boxes (copywebdev and officetech) on the products page (though one of them will load--whichever one you click first).
I guess this was "two steps forward and one step back"?

As John said, there is no mechanism to receive notification of import. The likely recourse is continuous polling (unless you get very creative..).
You can try optimizing. e.g.: every second (or less), see if the count has changed, if it's gone up, something's been imported, if not then probably not (check anyway once in a while..).

Yeah: Lightroom won't save custom metadata in xmp, nor read it if it's there, so you are pretty much on your own - you can save in a file, but if you save as non-standard sidecar Lr won't attend to it like it will jpg or xmp sidecar. For that reason it's often better to save in a separate dedicated location. You can save in image file itself, e.g. using exiftool if raw file, but that would make me nervous, and of course you'd have to have the logic to read it somewhere too..

Run Once ?

I have been looking for a proper "run once" option for policies.
Checking through here looking for a real run once option, I found a three year old post that suggested that this functionality would be available soon.
Does anyone have any hints if this will ever make it into the product?
I cannot use "System Requirements" because it logs an error on each refresh for each server - a pretty foolish decision I think.

We use zlm to manage about 400 server and when we started the migration project in 2006 I was searching for something like that and found a few one's like webmin or so. But at that stage no one could deliver what we were looking for and as a result we decided to configure our systems using rpm packages. As we develop linux software we needed a rpm build environment and were familiar with building rpm packages. Therefor we build some packages that contain sometimes simple, sometimes complex scripts, that configure the system. They do things like ntp configuration, deactivating some runlevel scripts, activating vnc remote access, creating the syslog and snmp config .... Now after maybe 3 years with that solution, we are still quiet happy with it because we do not have changes very often and keep the config on all system identical. And as we install the zlm client during the autoyast installation of the server, it will pull down those config packages and configure the server right after the installation. No need to add it to a different administration tool, this is all done via zlm.
This is not a solution for everybody, but for us it's quiet simple and we will continue with it.

Hi All,
I'm happy to announce that I've successfully resolved my issue.
Able to start the WebLogic AdminServer , and make it to RUNNING mode.
Let me give some background about the issue and resolution:-
I came across 2 types of errors while starting the AdminServer immediately after creating domain
a) myrealm failed to be loaded weblogic.security.service.securityserviceexception
b)+<WebLogic Server> <BEA-000386> <Server subsystem failed. Reason: java.lang.AssertionError: Could not obtain the localhost address. The most likely cause is an error in the network configuration of this machine+.
Note : First i encountered with the issue (a) , and then later after re-installed again.. and created fresh weblogic domain.. came up with the issue (b)
I tried couple of ways like
1. Editing config.xml file by adding/editing <listen-address>********</listen-address> field
2. Deleting data folder under /ldap folder
3. Clearing /tmp and /cache folders
4. Commenting ADMIN_URL in setDomainEnv
And last I'm able to resolve it by observing , and updating the following :
[root@kiran ~]# hostname
kiran
[root@kiran ~]# more /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1          localhost.localdomain localhost
::1          localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6
*127.0.0.1     kiran* --> Add this line , and this did all magic to fix my issue.
That's it , I'm able to start the AdminServer without any issue.

Does compiling the kernel makes the system run significantly faster?

It used to be when you compiled your kernel (at least ten years ago), you would get a significant speed boost. However, with the speed of machine nowadays, I wonder how much, if any. Does compiling the kernel have a significant increase in daily performance or otherwise? If so, what portion of the system does it makes faster than before? In short, Is it worth it? I appreciate any comments.

How to make a job run on a appointed node

I have a problem. The database is Oracle 10g, RAC, two nodes
There are some job which run on everyday night. Now, something happened, the job run on Node A can't work as normal, but if run on node B, It will work well.
so I just want to submit the jobs on Node B, I submited the jobs on Node B, but the jobs always run on Node A.
I want to know how to make a job run on a appointed node.

the Job just transfer some procedure to add partitions for some table, to merge the records from some tables to one table and so on.
the problem is when the job run on Node A, it is very very slow, the procedure would run hours and not success end, but if on Node B it will successfully end in seconds.
restart the Node A would be a way for the problem, but may it will leave a hidden trouble. I want save the scene to find out the problem

App-V 5 Application runs once then errors

Hello Experts,
I'm running an App-V 5.0 SP1 Management Server and Publishing Server on Server 2012 R2. My Sequencer and Client are App-V 5.0 SP2 from the current MDOP 2013 R2.
The target systems are all running TrendMicro Antivirus, but I'm not sure, if that could be related, as the applications can run once. I'm afraid I can't uninstall or deactivate the AntiVirus in the case :-(
I can sequence applications fine and run them once on any given system. But as soon as the application has been run once, it cannot be run on any system anymore. It errors out with the message:
"A Problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program" then when clicking close the program, a new error message pops up: "The application was unable to start correctly (0x00000005). Click OK to close the application"
In this case, it's FireFox, but the problem isn't related to the sequenced app - it happens to all app-v applications. If I export the sequenced app to my lab environment, the application works fine and does not through any errors.

I am using JComponents and Visibroker for JAVA ORB for connecting to another ORB's which would in-turn connect to a C++ Server and finally to the SQL Server.

The Cabase file is a winzip file having all the ORB's compliant classes and my source classes to interact with the ORB Server.

I have been having exactly the same problems but I was using JDK 1.2.
I discovred the problem could be resolved by using the Plug-in on navigaor or IE and bingo it was perfect.
I also discovered that using the AppletViwer would allow me to see the applet. Then I upgraded to JDK1.3 or 2 or whatever it is and nothing.
I recompiled the classes using the !.3 still nothing. The applet vewer don't work and the plug in don't work.
I tried to recompile using the oldjavac ( I assume 1.2) and nothing I do will make this JApplet run. Ordinary a�pplets are OK. Applications with swing are OK, but JAPPLets are dead
I have come to the conclusion SUN has screwed up big time and are frantically scrabbling about looking for a fix. I have reveert to javascript/DHTML as this is both consistent and stable and for considerably less effort and aggravation you can get 90% of the functioonality.

When Skype is open on my second monitor, my .swf runs slowly (30-45 fps).

But when it is minimized or on my first monitor, my .swf runs fine. I'm using Flash Player 11.5.31.137. Upon further investigation in Stencyl it seems every 4 frames something called "Waiting For GPU" spikes up WAY past my limit of 16ms. I am not using Stage3D, either.

Yes... but I have come across some setups that came with a native SL (and even one Lion!) installation.. that somehow had a corrupted or older Prokit installed for some unknown reason... and given it's a quick fix to try.. I thought I'd mention it..
I frankly don't think it is entirely a Prokit issue itself, but it wouldn't do any harm to try and install v7 just in case it is part of the problem...
+1 on the UAD stuff....
Also, at the time it crashed... according to the logs...the OP was running Ableton Live at the same time, presumably rewired with Logic... so add all that together with UAD plugins... and that's quite a load on the system...
Finally in thread 32 there is a weird exception msg relating to the Trash2 plugin.. that I haven't seen before...

That might be nothing... but as i said, I haven't seen that one before and given what else is going on.. it might be involved too... or nothing to do with that at all!

Help changing a run continuously VI into a run once

Hi,
I know that I am probably going to invoke the wrath of the labview gods with this request by not going through my tutorials again but I am unfortunately stuck and
getting a bit of a brain freeze on this one.
I have a VI for a flow meter, that runs perfect when I hit run continously but I need to add this to another VI that just runs once so I am trying to convert.
I have had previous suggestions in another thread to replace the for loop with a while loop. Add a Stop button on the front panel and wire it to the Stop it True terminal in the loop.
Move the Waveform Chart and Flow Rate terminals inside the loop. I have done this but the VI does not run correctly, the dial just keep accumalating/adding and not resetting.
Any alternate approaches that I can try would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to do some cleanup and got away from that stupid Express VI. Your loops really should be combined otherwise you have one nasty race condition with your local variable. I also found a nice property node for the counter to reset its count.
