  • Problem with access to Environment.

    Hey, all.
I use Gentoo Linux and I have big problem.
    I can't access the Environment.
I tried some examples from the site but without any result.
I have to write a code based on OCCI library.
I will use ODBC if i can't solve the problem.
I had the following error message:
    /tmp/ccf0eMaZ.o: In function `main':
a.cpp:(.text+0x208): undefined reference to `oracle::occi::Environment::createEnvironment(oracle::occi::Environment::Mode, void*, void* (*)(void*, unsigned), void* (*)(void*, void*, unsigned), void (*)(void*, void*))'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I tried many examples with the same result.
    Any ideas?
Thanks in advance if anybody help me.

Check the gcc version in your Linux distribution. On RedHat Linux AS 3.0, OCCI supports gcc 3.2.3 for 10.1 & 10.2

  • Accessing shell environment variables inside OMBPlus script

    Hi,
I have a problem accessing an environment variable inside OMBPlus script. I can 'see' the env. var values when using tclsh, but when I use OMBPlus.sh it doesn't work?
Anybody has an example of how to do this?
    For example: puts $::env(MYVAR)
    Thanks,
    Ed

    Hello!
    Issue the command:
    puts [array names env];
this will print you the content of the env array which is definitely not the environment variables.
If you want your environment variable appear in the env tcl variable then you must edit the ombplus.bat file and pass it through a java option like this:
-DMYENV="%MYENV%" (on windows assuming you declared MYENV).
    Now puts $env(MYENV) will work.

  • Accessing an environment simultaneously between 32 and 64 bits applications

    Hi all.
I thought that using BDB 5.3.x, you could mix 32 and 64 bits processes accessing the same environment simultaneously. That seems not to be the case.
When a 64 bits process is trying to join an environment created by a 32 bits process, I get this error:
    bsddb3.db.DBError: (-30969, "BDB0091 DB_VERSION_MISMATCH: Database environment version mismatch -- BDB1539 Build signature doesn't match environment")
Same error joining the other way around.
Was I mistaken? Can not be done in BDB 5.3.x?

  • Cannot access desktop environment, neither gnome nor awesome

    Hi All,
My Archlinux has been installed for a while when suddenly, maybe after one `yaourt -Syu` and reboot, cannot reach my desktop environment(gnome).
At first, it seems like gdm doesn't run. So I manually run it, but the gnome reports an error in the GUI (the error is very general, so I have no idea what happened at all). Then I tried to install awesome, but I can't access to it as well.
I've tried to switch my graphical driver from nouveau to nvidia, but I still can't get into Gnome. Surprisingly, I get into awesome successfully. However, I failed to open any terminal or application but quit awesome.
I've tried to replace sysvinit with systemd-sysvcompat after switching my graphical driver back to nouveau. By doing that, gdm seems to run at boot up, but I still can access Gnome, because the computer just halt and the graphical interface never come up. Neither can I access awesome.
I can't figure out where the problem is. My desktop environment used to function normal for a long time. What could possibly be wrong after any upgrade?

    1)  What was updated.
    2)  What are the errors.
    3)  What can you find in the various logs and/or journal.

  • How to access OS environment and TCP/IP environment

I'm trying to find a way to access the operating systems commands (I've already figured out how to determine which Windows or which Unix or which Linux I'm in) and TCP/IP commands. In REXX, for example, it's ADDRESS CMD but I don't even have a clue as to what the class would be in Java. Can somebody help, please?
The two kinds of things I'd like to be able to do is issue commands written in whatever language for the environment where the Java program is executing and have the output from these commands come back as a string or series of strings which can then be parsed by the parser we've written for each of the environments we need to deal with (since the same command sometimes results in a different return, depending on the environment where it's running).
For the TCP/IP commands, I'd like to be able to do something like
    tcp_ipCommands("ping","www.sun.com");
    or
    tcp_ipCommands("ping www.sun.com");
depending on how I write it, of course.
Thanks for any light anybody can shed on how to do this.

  • How to access %programfiles% environment variable in XML

    Hi
I am trying to install BEA JRockit 1.4.2 JVM silently and I need help in modifying the silent.xml file. Typically, in batch files, one would use the environment variable %programfiles% to install to the system's program files directory. However I want to do this within the silent install file that BEA recommends. The line that I want to modify is:
    <data-value name="USER_INSTALL_DIR" value="D:\Program Files\Java\jrockit-24.5.0-j2sdk1.4.2_08" />
    To something more like:
    <data-value name="USER_INSTALL_DIR" value="<b>${programfiles}</b>\Java\jrockit-24.5.0-j2sdk1.4.2_08" />
However this does not work for me. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jaaved

    Hi Jaared,
You will have to create an additional wrapper that generates the silent.xml
of your choice with a value of USER_INSTALL_DIR based on the value of the
%PROGRAMFILES% environment variable. The value of USER_INSTALL_DIR is
currently interpreted literally and there does not exist any support for
expansion of environment variables in it. Based on your question we might
consider this feature for a future release though.

  • How to access environment variables from pluggable destination?

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a java puggable destination for reports. Everything is working fine.
I want to access reports environment variables from the java code (like REPORTS_PATH and other new variables that I want to create), but I can't find anything about this in the java API documentation.
I want to use environment variables instead of destination properties (those I can easily access), because I want to be able to change context using env_id.

I have a very strange problem with my sharepoint foundation 2010 site.
I have a site which is accessible from outside on https (we have a valid certificate). I configured IIS for http and https.
Also I configured internal and externel access for this site on sharepoint.
But sometimes, the site is not accessible from outside on https with (externe.site.fr), BUT  it will be accessible with public ip !!!
And also accessible from inside. (with interne.intranet.site.fr)
    Any Idea ?
    thanks

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that your site is not accessible from outside using external host name with https sometimes.
As your site can be accessible with public IP, however it can’t be accessible from outside using external host name with https sometimes, the issue could be caused by the gateway server in your environment.
I suggest that you need to check the gateway server configuration.
For more information, you can refer to:

    Javier,
I'll explain what sequence of events can make this exception happen, and perhaps you can figure out why this occurs in your application.
The JE log files hold different kind of log entries, one of which is a type called the environment root. The root holds metadata about the environment as a whole, and JE needs to find the latest version of the root every time an environment is recovered (that is, re-opened). There should always be at least one version in the log.
When an environment is created, the first version of the root is written to the log almost immediately, and the log is checkpointed. The only way we anticipate seeing this particular error is if the environment creation was interrupted, after that first 00000000.jdb file was created, and before the root was written out, which is a pretty small window. This would occur before the environment constructor had returned.
Does that sound like it matches your scenario?

  • Cannot load Java plug-in and access R12 Oracle form from client

Hi, one of my user cannot open Oracle form when accessing R12 environment using IE6. After selecting responsibility and menu, it got stuck after 50% processing when trying to load Java applet. It never got completed even after waiting for 2-3 hours.
Is there any browser setting that needs to be modified? I checked popup blocker and activeX setting. All seem to be in order. Kindly assist. Thanks.

    Hi,
What is the difference between this client and other clients?
Delete the browser cache/history files and check then. If this does not help, enable trace for JRE (as per Note: 549423.1 - How to enable tracing and logging for Sun JRE (Native Plug-in)) and see if it shows any errors when you encounter this issue.

  • Query in an Access database executing a function defined in a module

    Hi all,
I have an Access 2003 database in which some function is defined in a module.
I also have a query defined which calls this function with no problem.
Both the query and the function work well when the query is executed from Access.
But when I try to execute the same query from ColdFusion, I get an error claiming that the function is not defined.
    Any Idea ?

I believe that UDFs in Access can only be run inside of the Access runtime environment, and cannot be called through the JDBC/ODBC bridge that ColdFusion is using.
