No & Call ID field difference in service call

Hi all,
Just wonder what is the difference of "No" & "Call ID" field in the service call?
It seem that "Call ID" will count +1 whenever user open a service call even without create it.
So what is the purpose of "Call ID"?
Thanks

What is the difference between Service Pack(SP) AND Patch ??
    e.g SP12, Patch8.
Is it like that when there is a major change they will issue SP and

they will issue SP combining all the patches ??
Service Pack level can be seen from SAP gui system..>status.
But Patch level where can we see ?? what is the Tcode for that ?? or just we got

    Hello,
A service pack (in short SP) is a collection of updates, fixes and/or enhancements to a software program delivered in the form of a single installable package. Service packs are usually numbered, and thus shortly referred to as SP1, SP2, etc. It is notable that they may bring, besides bug fixes, entirely new features
A patch (sometimes called a "fix") is a quick-repair job for a piece of programming. During a software product's beta test distribution or try-out period and later after the product is formally released, problems (called bug) will almost invariably be found. A patch is the immediate solution that is provided to users; it can sometimes be downloaded from the software maker's Web site. The patch is not necessarily the best solution for the problem and the product developers often find a better solution to provide when they package the product for its next release.

  • Difference Between Service Account and User Account

What is the Difference Between Service Account and User Account

    Hello Mohit,
Basically there are two types of approches which you should understand.
In many environments, administrators prefer to simply create a domain user account and assign appropriate privileges to it. Then this user account is used in order to start a specific service on a computer.
In that case there is really no difference between a user account and the so called service accounts. Since this service account is simply a domain user, all the task related to managing the domain users apply to it. For example you
should keep the password up to date manually. Some environment move step forward and assign
Deny Logon Locally of this type of service account in order to enhance the security.
The second concept is Managed Service Accounts. There are plenty of differences between a Managed Service Account and a User Account.
The Display Icon is different from a view perspective.
The type of object is different.
Managed service accounts password management is automatic.
You can not create Managed Service Accounts using GUI. They are only created using Powershell.
You can refer to link below for more inormation:

    Hi,
Service Map Iview:The Service Map iView is an ERP-specific variant of the portal Workset Map iView. It serves as a central point of entry and guided access to the services of SAP service modules such as the Manager Self Service (MSS) module, or the Employee Self Service (ESS) module.
Workset Map iview:A Workset Map is the equivalent of a site map, providing users with explicit information on the functionality that is available in a given workset. It is based on an iView, and serves as a central point of entry and guided access to the contents of a workset.
if you want to more info pls go thr the below thread

  • What is the difference between Service and Component

What is the difference between Service and Component?

Generally, the implementation of a service will be comprised of many components, each of which will be comprised of many objects.
Services should correspond to cohesive collections of use cases (eg an online bank), components are at a finer granularity (eg a table of numbers).

    What should I do ?
    Thanks,

    Hi John,
It seems you have created Address Location DFF in self service in OA Framework.....
I have created a Address Location flex in OA Framework . It dipslays the segments properly but i dont want to display the segments if they dont have any value.
I only want to display segments with values . The segments with null values should not display at all...
i.e , if Address Line 2 value is null , it should not display Address Line 2..
If you have done this, pls let me know how to go abt it.

  • What are the functional differences between the iPhone and the iPod Touch, barring of course the differences in service requirements.

What are the functional differences between the iPhone and the iPod Touch, barring of course the differences in service requirements.

For one, their form factors are slightly different as the iPhone has a bit more squarish body whereas the iPod Touch has a tapered back to it.
The iPhone also has much better front and rear cameras. Exact details as to the difference in megapixels depends on whether or not you talking about the iPhone 4 or 4S.  If you would like to get more details, you can always view
each models specs on Apple's online store.

  • Error in F4 unknown field in structure  service profile CRMD_SERWI

    Hello,
I just added new Service Profiles and when Im creatin a new Service and adding a Reject service Profile the search field is empty and the message says:
Error in F4 unknown field in structure  service profile CRMD_SERWI
Someone know how to analyse WebClient UI search help.
    Kind Regards

    Hi David,
(even it is very old post am giving an approach which may help others)
If you check the value table, CRMD_SERWI you'll find that there is NO standard Search Help for field SRV_SERWI (Service Profile). So this is the main reason, SAP is not providing any F4 help in WEB UI screen as well , Still you are asked to provide F4 Help. So value table approach would not work.
So try the  following approach(do changes according to your requirement)
    1. Create one custom Elementary search help (e.g. ZZCUSTF4) in SE11 with following details ---
                                a> Selection Method = CRMD_SERWI_T
                                b> Parameters as --- SRV_SERWI and DESCRIPTION
                                c> For SRV_SERWI , check the Importing Flag and LPos = 1
                                d> For DESCRIPTION, put LPos = 2
    2. Now redefine GET_V_propname method in the CNxx class. Please refer the following code (need to change according to your requirement) to trigger your custom F4 Help.
    DATA:
             ls_map    TYPE if_bsp_wd_valuehelp_f4descr=>gtype_param_mapping,
             lt_inmap  TYPE if_bsp_wd_valuehelp_f4descr=>gtype_param_mapping_tab,
             lt_outmap TYPE if_bsp_wd_valuehelp_f4descr=>gtype_param_mapping_tab.
           ls_map-context_attr = 'struct.SRV_SERWI'.u201C Screen field's technical name
ls_map-f4_attr      = SRV_SERWI u201C Field name present in your custom search help, created in step 1.
      APPEND ls_map TO: lt_inmap, lt_outmap.
    CREATE OBJECT rv_valuehelp_descriptor TYPE CL_BSP_WD_VALUEHELP_F4DESCR
        EXPORTING
          iv_help_id        = 'ZZCUSTF4'  u201CCUSTOM Search help name created in step 1
          iv_help_id_kind   = f_bsp_wd_valuehelp_f4descr=>help_id_kind_name
          iv_input_mapping  = lt_inmap
          iv_output_mapping = lt_outmap.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Field 'material' in service master data and material requisition

    Hello, all!
Could anybody say, what is the purpose of field 'material' in service master data ('other' tab) and why system after setting the object type in that tab to 1 'material' will never show service in search help?
This first question comes from the second problem: I thought that I can make a service group, containing materials and services (like routings in PP), so system will be able to make material requisition for a case in automatical manner.
But now I'm confused. It looks like material requisition can only be made manually throught NMM7.
Is there any abilities to make requisition in automatical manner?
    Thanks a lot!
Edited by: Pavel Sidorov on Feb 15, 2008 4:30 PM

    Hi Pavel,
ad1) we support the creating of services based on material consumptions via service rules. Users are able to activate services rules which generate services based on the material consumption per case. But we need two entities material and services. Service rules are running automatically and no further manual work is necessary.
You will find the Service rules via IMG -> Patient Billing -> Service Rules. Service Rule R24 is the relevant service rule to generate services based on matierial consumption.
ad2) The field object type is not been used in Patient Management. It is only used by our clinical partner solution i.s.h.med. I understand that this field is confusing and not very well documented. In Patient Management we use the service master only for "services". i.s.h.med uses the field "material" and "personel" (e.g. physicians time). But it has no relevance for Patient Management.

    Thanks
    Ankit

    Hello Ankit ,
Please go into Transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> Materials Management -> External Services Management ->
Service Master -> Field Display for Service Master -> Define Field Selection for Service Master ( Individual Maintenance ).
Click on the "Influencing" button. This is where you should be able to make the changes to each field for all of your Service Categories.
I hope this information has been helpful.

  • Implementing differents web services in the same composite

    hi everybody,
what are the bests practises to implement differents web services in the same composite:
    - creating one WSDL with differents portTypes and expose one web service for each portype
    - creating differents WSDL for each web services
    Thanks,

    Hi
I would prefer different WebServices for each set of Operations. Please note that you can have multiple operations with different input and output xsd parametes. So its like One WebService -> One Port -> Multiple Operations. Only draw back is, you have to deploy all these webservices as multiple WAR files. Or one big EAR that has all these WAR Files.
I tried once One WebService -> 2 Ports -> Each Port with its own set of operations. I ran into problem when I tried to generate client for this webservice. The JAXB generated classes was odd and this did not work.
There may be some other option also. Hopefully someone can share their thoughts.

    Hi Arjun,
For every Billing Documnet created(VBRK/VBRP-VBELN) there will be an accounting document created in BSID/BSAD tables.
OPEN ITEMS means the Billed/Invoice Amounts that are pending from Customers, i.e which we have to receive from Customers.
CLOSED ITEMS means the AMOUNTS received from that customer.
OPEN ITEMS : fetch data from BSID table Only
CLOSED ITEMS : fetch data from BSAD only.
ALL POSTINGS : fetch data from both BSID and BSAD.
    Hope this will help.

  • Difference between Service Organization & Plant

    I ma new to SAP
What is the difference between Service Orgnization & Plant.
    Please do the needful..

    Corporate Structure
    Definition
The material master has a hierarchical structure resembling the organizational structure of a company. Some material data is valid at all organizational levels, while other data is valid only at certain levels. The organizational units are as follows:
    Client
    Company Code
    Plant
    Storage Location
    Purchasing Organization
    Sales Organization
    Warehouse Number
    Storage Type
    Structure
The client is the top level of the organizational level. Several company codes can be assigned to one client. In turn, several plants can be assigned to a company code, and several storage locations assigned to a plant.
Plants must always be consecutively numbered for all company codes. Consequently, plants assigned to different company codes cannot have the same number. However, the numbers of storage locations can be repeated, as long as they are assigned to different plants.
Service providers are members of internal or external service organizations and are represented using:
    Service and sales organizations
    Service centers, service workshops
    Service technicians
    External service providers (vendors, contractors)
You manage all data that is required for processing business scenarios with vendors in a vendor master record.
Service recipients are also members of internal or external organizations. Internal service recipients are internal company organizational units (for example, cost centers). External service recipients are represented using:
    Customers
    Customer employees
Customer data is managed in a customer master record. Not only the data concerning the ordering party belongs here, but also data about the goods recipient and the invoice recipient. You can represent complex customer structures as customer hierarchies.
By integrating Customer Service in the Accounting component, the organizational units of Financial Accounting and Controlling are linked directly to the service processes. Service organizations are represented in the finance and controlling area using:
    Company codes
    Controlling areas
    Business areas
The Logistics areas Materials Management and Stockkeeping enable you to perform resource management using organizational units such as plants and storage locations. Spare parts and external services are procured via the purchasing organizations and purchasing groups.
You can group the service technicians responsible for performing the services using work centers. Planner groups at a planning plant are responsible for scheduling the services to be performed by these work centers.
The units of the sales organization must be represented for the purchase of spare parts and services. You can represent this organization using:
    Sales organization
    Distribution channels
    Sales areas
    Shipping and loading points

  • Difference between Service Pack 5 for CR-XI (R2) and BOE-XI (R2)

    Difference between "Service Pack 5" for CR-XI (R2) and BOE-XI (R2)
    ========
There are two different "Service Pack 5" files available for download...
    CRYSTAL REPORTS XI (R2) = crxir2win_sp5.exe
    BUSINESS OBJECTS ENTERPRISE XI (R2) = boxir2win_sp5.exe
If we have workstations that have both CRYSTAL REPORTS XI and the BUSINESS OBJECTS ENTERPRISE "Client Tools" installed locally on them do I need to run both versions of the "Service Pack 5" - or will running just one (1) of them update all the installed desktop tools...?
    Thanks in advance!

I think the CR patch has client issues only.
The enterrpsie one is sufficient in most cases. Is that CR XIR1 or CR XIR2 client you have installed? Make sure it's CR XIR2 or you could run into issues
