Hi GURU,
WE ARE FACING A SITUATION WHERE WHEN WE PRESS (F4) FOR POSSIBLE ENTRIES FOR EXAMPLE IN T.CODE MD04 OR CO01 ITS BLANK AND BELOW THE POP SCREEN ITS SHOWS 16 ENTRIES FOUND.
PLEASE HELP

Error message 'Display only possible for print documents'

Hi All,
This issue is with the transaction code ME21N. When the user clicks on PRINT PREVIEW it gives an error of 'Display only possible for print documents'. When the user clicks the MESSAGES tab and then COMMUNICATION METHOD tab it gives an error 'No communication data has been defined for transmission medium 6'. The vendor is not getting the order. Does anyone has any idea of what these error messages mean and where should I look further?

the moment you give the print it will ask the printer by default LP01 then print immediately check you need to do that.then beground print program and partner you need check. whether this out type you have assigned to this partner or not (vendor). check complecte condition technic.diffnettly it will works.

Header Vendor text is not getting displayed for PO in BBP_PD transaction.

We are upgrading SRM 3.0 to SRM 7.0 .In the upgraded sys the Header Text 'HTXT' is not getting displayed for the Purchase order created in BBP_PD. For the SCs the Header text field is populated correctly.

Check in IMG if the text schema is used in configuring PO transaction type. Define Transaction Types is the setting.

i have a wifi-only iPad 3 and an iPhone 5 (no tethering plan). i'm wondering if it is possible to connect the two via cable and use the iPad as a display for the iPhone while i am driving.

Once you install it on your Mac you can connect to your PC and run it from your iMac. It's pretty straightforward to set up.

Hi Linda,
Line layout variants depend on a few things.
1 authorizations.
you need to make sure general users cannot change the standard layout. This is done via settings, layout, administration.
2. Personal variants, you can create your own variant and set it up just for yourself.
This can be done by selecting the user specifc tick box. The naming will have to be different but a user wont be able to see or change your variant.
3. Lastly you can set your variant in FB00, however all this does is assign a variant to a user, someone with either the correct authorization or a variant that is not a user specific one COULD be changed.

iMacs late 2009 or newer can be used in Target display
mode. Any older, no can do.
The only other way is via network Screen Sharing or

The Early2009 20" or 24" iMac don't have any video-in capabilities.
Depending on your needs, you can investigate or tryout AirDisplay or ScreenRecycler which enable use of a Mac from another Mac or Windows PC through network/wireless connections.

Configuration settings for Transaction CORT (Display Confirmation)

Hello friends,
I have one process order and for which couple of times i have done the confirmation and cancelled it.
Now when i go to Transaction code CORT (Display Confirmation),it shows all that transactions(Counter) for that operation (Phase), like

This happens in Production server.
But when in development server i did like this,i.e created one process order and did confirmation and cancellation couple of times and went in transaction code CORT (Display confirmation),there i found counter like this

Later on again i did the confirmation and cancellation than next counter came as 5.

You can use iPad as the display for your mac mini. but it will be your secondary display .. i.e. you need to have a primary display other that iPad.

Delivery address of a PO has German display for PO Box

Hi Experts,
Delivery address of a Purchase Order has the German display for PO Box .
This happens when the user tries to get the print Purchase Order.
In print preview , everyhting is in English except PO Box (showing like postfatch(German word for PO Box))in the delivery address.

Symptom
When you print foreign addresses, the word "Postfach" (PO box) does not appear in the language of the recipient or the recipient country but rather in another language, for example, in the logon language, or always in English (PO box).
When several documents are printed in succession, the word "Postfach" may also be printed in the language used in the previous document.

Reason and Prerequisites
The most common cause is that the word "Postfach" is not translated for the corresponding language.
The word "Postfach" is stored as numbered text in program SAPLSADR.
In function module ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM, the text is read using the ABAP command SET LANGUAGE.
Normally, the word "Postfach" is written in the language of the
recipient, alternatively in the language of the recipient country (based on the setting in the country definition). This is also the case for form printing, the form langauge is not taken.
In case no text is available in the entered language, the system responds in the following way:
In Releases R/3 4.0B (as of Support Package 16, see correction instructions) to Basis Release SAP Web AS 6.10 the command SET LANGUAGE as SY-SUBRC returns the value 4. In function module ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM the text language is then set to English (SET LANGUAGE 'E').
The text 'PO box' is then displayed.
As of Basis Release SAP Web AS 6.20 access to the secondary language is possible.
The secondary language is defined using the profile parameter zcsa/second_language.
The command SET LANGUAGE then returns the value 0 as ST-SUBRC so that the function module can no longer explicitly respond to the command SET LANGUAGE 'E'.
The outcome can then be completely unexpected, for example, the German text 'Postfach' is displayed even if neither the logon language nor the recipient address bear any reference to the German langauge.
Solution
The following are possible solutions:
1. Translate the text element into the language of the recipient country.
2. As of 6.20: Change of profile parameter zcsa/second_language
1. Possible Solution: Translation of the text element
This is possible in all Releases for languages compatible with the installed codepage.
For languages that are not suitable for the installed codepage this is no longer possible as of Release R/3 4.0. The translation Transaction SE63 then delivers error message SD836. This check cannot be avoided, in this case a translation is impossible.
Translate the text element into the language of the recipient, or recipient country:
To do this, call Transaction SE63 and choose the menu path:
Translation -> Short texts -> Program -> Numbered texts
(or Translation -> Short texts -> ABAP/4 -> Program texts)
Program: SAPLSADR
Source language: your logon language, for example, 'D',
Target language: Enter your required language, for example, 'E'
Choose 'Translate', enter the foreign text there and save.
As described above, the language of the recipient, or the recipient country (and not the form language) is normally relevant.
If you are in doubt, find out which country has been maintained for the recipient country in the country Customizing settings (Transaction OY01, or, in non-R/3-systems such as CRM,EBP, etc.: Transaction oy07).
To be able to translate a text into a particular language suitable for the installed codepage, it is not necessary to install the language.
The language key should have been entered in the language table (T002) and in the check table TSKT9 (for the translation tool).
For languages not suitable for the installed codepage the translation will not be permitted as of R/3 4.0.
Since the translations of texts in the SAP system are delivered for each language it is unavoidable that this text element in an installation may not be available in all necessary languages.

By setting the profile parameter Zcsa/second_language to value 'E' you obtain the same behavior as found in Releases up to 6.10, in which case the text is not available in the entered language.
The secondary language, English, is then accessed, resulting in the text 'PO box' being displayed.
Refer also to Note 140130 if illegible special characters are displayed for countries whose language does not fit the codepage installed. Example: English codepage, destination country Japan. Normally, the Japanese text elements should not be contained in the system, and the English text should be printed. If nevertheless special characters are displayed instead of the English text, Note 140130 may help.

3. goto screen variant tab - assign some name - enter program name and screen name
(from mm01 - F1 help)
4. goto transaction variant tab - assign some name - assign already defined screen variant name
5. goto standad variant tab - transaction variant name already fetched automatically - click on active button (it was placed after transaction variant name

in my recording i am not able to see any screen 300.

3)after thuis i changed the total planned cost field
and saved it.

I think the problem is with your recording like ....
while u r recording the tcode u might have entered all the correct values means all the comapatable values where as there is another side of the coin if u enter values which are non compatable in one of the fileds then it may give some pop up or error message saying that you entered some invalid value rite... so while recording in the first method u may miss this screen.
everything is fine and in your flat file if there would some non compatable values in any one of the records then the extra pop up or subscreen will be displayed and the screen sequence will be lost
so my suggestion is try to run the tcode in the no error mode with the record with which u r getting the error message.. try to check what exactly the problem is....
one more thing here you have to take into consideration...
some transaction like enjoy tcodes and IS- tcodes LSMW will not support the background processing of the session at that time you have to check the other options like BAPI or IDOC method....
so check the possible options
I think, I gave you some idea......

Can I use my iMac as a 'display' for my MacBook Pro?

Hi all, I am really hoping someone can help me here.
I am wondering if I can use my 24" iMac as a display for my MacBook Pro (both running Snow Leopard).
It's my father's 80th birthday party in about 24 hours time. I am doing up the music and slideshow (thanks Apple - so easy!).
My plan was to simply take my iMac and use it. However, I managed to drop the wireless keyboard (darn those dogs) and now my keyboard won't work. I have no backup keyboards here (gave the wired one to Dad to use with his Mac mini). I live in a country area with no access to a Mac store and it will take more than 24 hours to get a new one. Went to my local 'other computer' general store last night: I really don't want to buy an ugly black keyboard..... I have just had a great idea:
Can I network my MacBook Pro and use it as the source for the slide show and simply use the iMac as a display? I have plenty of DVI adaptors but am just not sure how I would go about the software side of things? Or should I simply buy an ugly PC keyboard (and if I do, will the WIndows button work as an Apple button???)

The imac 24 can't be used as a monitor over a DVI connection or the like, Suzanne, but you may be able to achieve what you want to using "Screen Sharing" by networking the two computers. This lets your MBP effectively control what is running on the iMac.
See HERE for the basic setup. For information about how to access the "shareable" screen from the MBP see HERE.
One possible problem may be actually getting this set-up on the iMac if it is not already enabled, however, unless you can borrow a keyboard from someone (your password may have to be entered to enable it). You may be able to get around this, if necessary, using the "keyboard viewer" (which you can place in the menubar using System preferences > Keyboard, if you don't already have it there).

How to schedule a job for transaction CG36, incl. variant?

When you enter transaction CG36, you need to select a User Exist (EHS_DXSDB). After that you need to define a file path.
I would like to schedule a job for transaction: CG36 > Define User Exit: EHS_DXSDB (Import Dok-X material Safety Data Sheets) > and define a path. With transaction SE93, I found program name: RC1RIMPS (program is allowed to be job scheduled), only I can't create a Variant (to define the user exit and file path, no selectionscreen), how to create a variant?
The following programs can't be scheduled either (as they are not of type 1 or J):
SAPLC131
SAPLC1EO
SAPLC3G

I am sorry. To my knowledge up to ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pack 4 there is no SAP EH&S process available there you can do what you are requesting. The "problem" is that you need to "answer" the user dialog. Therefore you can not generate/prepare a variant which could be processed as a job according to my knowledge.
Therefore in my opinion you have this option only: prepare a copy of the transaction (or only the report) using either "Z" or "Y (customer reports). Then you need to exclude some line in the code (which gives rise to the user dialog) and prepare some customer specific coding so that the resulting report can be used in such a way that a variant is possible, but you must make sure that the process later (the real upload process) is processed too in this "job" queue. IN any case: you need to check the log of the report and this must be done by an user. Therefore an automatic process does have some "risks"
The topic of import of reports is used in most cases during a set up of EH&S, because of mergers/acustions but not in the daily work with EH&S and there I believe that SAP does not support this demand.

Can anybody tell me which BADI or Exit that I can use?

To check for the suitable badi, Go to transaction SE24 and give the Object type as CL_EXITHANDLER and click on Display button.
Double click on method GET_INSTANCE, put a break point on case statement.
Execute your transaction and look for variable EXIT_NAME at your scenario then It will show the available badi's.
You can find the exits in many ways.
Get the developement class of the transaction code from SE93.
Then go to transaction SMOD and press F4 and give the Development class in Press ENTER, then it will show all the exits available for that transaction.
Or
Go to transaction SE80 and give the development class name and then expand the enhancements tree view then you will get the list of userexits for that corresponding dev class.
