No loading grp field

Dear all
I have a sales order for 12 items, wherein for 3 items shipping point is not getting picked. Shipping point is determined as follows : Plant (entered manually) Shipping conditions (CMR/defined) Loading Grp (MMR).
When I checked the MMR, I found that for these 3 items no Loading grp field exists (forget about the value, complete field is missing) while for other it exists. Infact there are some more fields that dont exist for these 3 items.
I am in a fix. How is that possible? Do i need to contact an ABAPer?

First go to MM01, select that material which is having the issue and select "Sales: General/Plant" view. Now see whether the loading group is flowing.
If not, go to OMS9, input 94 in "Field sel.group" and enter. There again double click on Loading Group and set the indicator to Reqd. Entry.

The field is deffined in the GP card spec 2.1.1 under 9.5.2.3.6 INSTALL [for load] and INSTALL [for install] Parameters. The section of text explains what each field is and the tag to use to encode. Each value is a two byte short.

check the following
Check your shipping conditions in sales order header shipping tab + loading group in material master + plant in sales order,
verify the same in OVL2, whether its mainatined or not.
1. Shipping condition maintain in Sold to party of ur customer master,
2. Loading group should be maitained for perticular Sales area and plant in Material Master for Sales: General/Plant Data.
3. Plant should be available in sales order
IMG -> Logistics Execution -> Shipping -> Basic shipping functions -> Shipping point and Goos receiving point determination -> Assign Shipping Points.In that determine the storage location, loading group, plant, proposed shipping point and manual shipping point.
Combination of Shipping Point Determination=
Loading Group - (1-Material Master Record)
Shipping COnditions (1- Sales doc type , 2- Customer Master Data - Sold to Party)
Delivering Plant - (1-Customer Material Info record , 2- Customer Master Record & 3-material master record)
If you have done Copy of existing Shipping Point & renamed it. Then all the shippig Point determination Combinations will be copied.
If not, then you need to maintain manually in Shipping point determination customization

Loading a field of length( 60 and up to 2048) from flat file to BW.

Hello,
Can you please suggests ways by which we can load a field in flat file which is of length greater than 60 and up to 2048 digits to BW.
Facts:
We cannot have more than 59 length digits in an infoobject
Observations:
The idea of using multiple infoobject,ie for 2048 max length it will be 35 infoobjects is not acceptable by my client.
So, can anyone suggests other ways in BW3.5 for loading a text of length up to 2048 from flat file to BW.

If you have source field DD/MM/YYYY format, please try this code in the field routine.
Data : lv_date(8) type C.
lv_date0(4) = <Source Field Name>6(4).
lv_date4(2) = <Source Field Name>3(2).
lv_date6(2) = <Source Field Name>0(2).
RESULT = LV_DATE.

DIAPI Version 2005A: An error occurred while trying to load user fields

I try to initialize a BusinessPartners Object in C#. A ComException will be thrown. The message is: "An error occurred while trying to load user fields"
ErrorCode is -1122.
My Code:

I tried also a Recordset-Object and a ProductOrders-Object. And this works.

Need to add Loading Grp and Transportation Grp for a material

Hi Friends,
I want to add the loading grp and transportation grp for a material using transaction MM02 but I am unable to do so. Also would like to add a few more views like plant storage and accounting view for the same material using MM01 but I am unable to see these views in the selection box.
Can anyone please tell me how can I do so.

Goto OMS2 and then double click on the material type and now select the required views in User Departments Tab.
To add loading group and transportation group you have to enter the Sales organization and distribution channel in MM02

I need to change loading group field in material master, but I can't find it in MM02.
Please, confirm if the page is Sales: general/plant (R/3 4.7 version).
And I want to know also, if is possible the field become hidden if other field is not marked ?

Thanks for your answer. The field was hidden, because there was not plant view to the material. So I created again via MM01 just to Sales: General/Plant view and problem was solved.

Data loading after field enhancement.

Dear all,
We are using BI7.00 and in one of our data source, a new field has to be enabled. Our people are under the impression that without downtime, the previous data which is available in the Target and the PSA can have values for the new field also.
I could not perceive the possibility. Experts suggestion required in this regard. Can you kindly provide answers for the following questions.
1) Can enhancement be done to the data source without deletion of setup table?
2) Can the delta queue be as it is without stopping the delta pull process i.e., the process chain and the background jobs.
3) If the field is enhanced, can the value of the field be loaded to all the data which is previously loaded to the PSA and the Target.
Request Experts to provide apt solution so that field enhancement can take place without disturbing any of the data loads.
I went through the forum posts and was able to find something about export data source and Loop back principles - these suggests that my requirement is possible.
I do not know the process. Can experts provide step by step suggestion to my query.

Hello Magesh,
1)Enhancement cannot be done if there are records in the set up tables.
2)When an enhancement is done...delta queue also needs to be empty...so you will have to stop the collective running jobs...lock the system and empty the delta queue by scheduling the delta package twice....then only the transports to production will go succesful.
3)Until you fill the set up tables again and do a historial loads...the old values for the new added field will not appear..
If you just do an init without data transfer and schedule new delta loads...then the new added fields will contain values from that day and changes to them...previously loaded values to BW will remain as it is...to have the values for newly added fields you need to load the history through full repair loads by filling the set up tables first.
Follow the following steps to load only the new values for the added fields
1)Lock the system
2)schedule the collective update job through job control so that all the records are in the delta queue and no records or LUW are left in LBWQ for that data source.
3)Schedule the delta infopackage twice so that even the queue for repeat delta is also empty.
4) do the transports and then delete the old init and do a new init without data transfer.
5)schedule the normal delta.
To have history for the added fields
1)Lock the system and
2)Delete the old init and clear the LBWQ from LUW's
3)Do the transports
3)Fill the set up tables and do init without data transfer for the data source.
4)Unlock the system
5)Do the full repair loads to the BW data targets
6)Schedule the delta loads.

SQL Loader combine fields into one.

Hi i am using sql loader to convert a db from sql server to oracle.
my SQL Server DB has a field for the date and another for the time, i want to convert this into on filed called date. I cannot seem to figure out how to do this.
my ctl file looks like this.

SQL*Loader-291: Invalid bind variable CALL_TEMP in SQL string for column CALL_DATE.
basically i cant find a way to do this to combine 2 columns into one and discard the one i am not using.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can load the data as in a stg table and the move from stg table to regular table concatenating both call_temp and call_date column together.

Sql Loader Skipping fields in a csv file

Hi,
I have a comma delimited flat file with more fields than I need and am curious if there is a loader technique
to skip some of the fields. E.g. Given a three field file, I want to associate the 1st and 3rd fields with table columns and ignore the 2nd field.
Sorry if this seems simple. This is my first time with loader and nothing in the Doc. Jumps out at me.
Obviously I can massage the file prior to loader with sed, awk, perl. I'm really just curious if I can do it in loader itself.

You can use the FILLER keyword.

SRM-MDM - loading hyperlink field in import manager

Hi forum members,
I am having trouble loading the hyperlinks in for SRM-MDM in import manager.
What fields / values do I need to map to load this please?
I have mapped the hyperlink source field to the hyperlink destination field, but get an error during import executing saying there is an creating lookup table entry.
Is anyone able to provide step-by-step details of which mappings are needed?

Hi Nicholas,
the non-qualifier for the hyperlinks table is the type. Therefore you need to also map this field. Please check note 1077701 (under 11.) on how to use the types.

Load data with SQL Loader link field between CSV file and Control File

Hi all,
in a SQL Loader control file, how do you specify link with field in CSV file and Control file?
E.g. if I wat to import the record in table TEST (col1, col2, col3) with data in csv file BUT in different position. How to do this?
FILE CSV (with variable position):
test1;prova;pippo;Ferrari;
xx;yy;hello;by;
In the table TEST i want that col1 = 'prova' (xx),
col2 = 'Ferrari' (yy)
col3 = default N
the others data in CSV file are ignored.
so:
load data
infile 'TEST.CSV'

col3 CONSTANT "N"

SQL*Loader Error Field in data file exceeds maximum length", version 8.1.6

I am trying to load a data file into a database table using SQL loader. I
received the data in an data file but I saved it as a pipe delimited
file.
When I run the SQL Loader command no records are loaded - looking at the log
file I get the following error:
Rejected - Error on table FARESDATA, column FANOTESIN.
Then I tried with substr and doesnt seem to work for values greater than 4000 chars, it only works if the field value is below 4000 chars (say doing a substr for first 3000 chars).

We get the error ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column when using substr for 4000 chars.

I believe the problem here is that the ORACLE database regards anything > 4000chs as a CLOB (or LONG). 4000 is the maximum length of a varchar2 field in the database, although of course you can declare larger values in PL/SQL. (Since the incoming data is > 4000 chs it is regarded as a LONG and you cannot therefore use SUBSTR on it)
I think that you must either truncate your data before loading or load into a table with the offending field as a CLOB (or LONG)
and then use PL/SQL to recreate it in a table with a varchar2(4000) which is otherwise identical. (You can select from a LONG into a varchar2(32000) for example and then truncate before writing out to the new table).

Problem Loading Currency Field

I am not able to populate the currency field from Source using DTP when loading ODS 0CRM_OPPH. All the fields are populating except the Currency field and its a direct mapping in the transformation from source. Can someone let me know what is the issue with this?

Hi Raj,
In case you did the mapping correct and there are no routines that might clear the currency field in your update or transfer rules you can additionally transfer the currencies from the source system. Goto rsa1->source systems. Right click on your source system and choose transfer global settings. This will allow you to transfer currencies, exchange rates ... from source to BW. Try this and let us know the restult.
Additionally use transaction listcube and display the records from there, check if there is a currency assigned to the keyfigure for each record.
