No logical port to call web services

Hi all,
Via MOPZ, after I selected files to my download basket, and reached Download Files steps, the following message is prompted and the Download button is disabled:
No logical port to call web services
What are the setting I should do to setup the logical port ?

UseDefaultWebProxy = true not working on send port to call web service.

I have a local http proxy and have set this up in IE - which is working fine (confirmed through proxy log). I am testing a wcf basicHttpBinding to an asmx web service. Setting the useDefaultWebProxy = true does not trigger the send port to use the proxy
(I can confirm this via the proxy logs). However setting this property to false and explicity setting the proxy using the proxyAddress binding property will cause the send port to use the proxy to send the request.
My understanding was that setting the useDefaultWebProxy = true causes the send port to use the
auto-configured HTTP proxy of the system (which I set up in IE).
Furthermore removing
the proxy address from the proxyAddress property and changing back to useDefaultWebProxy = true causes the send port to error with the error along the lines of "You cannot specify an explicit Proxy Address as well as UseDefaultWebProxy=true" even
though the proxyAddress property is now cleared. Changing back to useDefaultWebProxy = false causes a different error "System.InvalidOperationException: This operation is not supported
for a relative URI"
The only way to fix this is to re-import the bindings

Hi,
Are you sure the proxy is configured (using IE) for the user running the host instance? (Especially on non development machines) this is not by default the same user as the currently logged in user.

Error Message "No logical port exists to call web services" installing SM7

I am trying to use SLM to download a service stack. However, the option is not available in step 2.5. There is an error message "No logical port exists to call web services". I have performed the Wizard install, but the Wizard seems to have left out this step. I have looked around for documentation on how to configure the port, but cannot find anything more useful than comments to the effect that I should configure the port.

I found the problem, I think, although I am now on to the next problem. "Web Services for software lifecycle manager not available'.
The documentation is lacking. When the RFC connection is set up, the user id is j2ee_admin, using the install password. This is not specified anywhere in the install instructions that I could find, there is only a reference to a 'user id and password'.
The LPCONFIG is used to create a logical port, that ties the RFC to the LP. However, no name is specified that is to be used for the LP.

Soap / WS Receiver unable to call web service.

We are using PI 7.1 without EHP1
I am unable to call a web service from SOAP/WS adapter. The scenario is HTTP to SOAP/WS.
The web service is hosted on a decentral adapter engine(JPR) put on seperate logical system. The web service hosted on the decentral adapter engine needs to be called by Integration server. This web service call is required to execute a java call(RMI) for third party system.

Following are the steps to configure web service.
1. Import service interface from Enterprise service repository in NWDS
2. Generate bean skeleton
3. Deploy the service on JPR
4. Configure End point from Web service Administrator

2. Soap protocol- Soap 1.1
3. Target URL--http://<host>:<port>/sapws/com.sap/WmsItemEAR_WmsItem_EJB_WmsItemImplBean/WmsItem/WmsItem_Port?wsdl&mode=ws_policy
when I try the WSDL Url in the browser I get an xml file.

ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR when calling web service

Summary: ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR was met when I called web service in ABAP with logical port & RFC Connection of type G.
Details:
1. the test of RFC Connection of type G in SM59 works OK, with SSL inactive and basic authentication.
2. while in ABAP code, the calling to web service throws ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR, using the logical port with the RFC Connection as HTTp Destination.
3. also, with using URL directly in logical port settings, the calling to web service in ABAP throws ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR.
I searched threads and blog for ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR, it seems others met ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR in SM59; while my case is the test in SM59 works well.
Anybody can help?

public-key certificate that has been signed by a test CA. Although this certificate can be used for
testing purposes, a certificate that has been signed by a well-known, productive CA should be used
when in production mode.
right now i'am doing it for testing purpose, in the above note it is mentioned that we can use default credentials but when i see the expiry date of this default credentials in my server 1) SSL-Credentials 2)SSL-Credentials-cert it is given that these certificates are Valid Not After 2005 year.
So i got confused now whether to use the default credentials or not.
Please guide me with a solution.

WebLogic Cluster has this feature ( Load Balancing & Failover ). If you will deploy your WebService to a WebLogic Cluster and then If you will put a Proxy in front of it like (Apache)...Then it is Possible.

Initially I started the params at params(0) but when I received the response above I thought it might solve the problem by starting at 1 - try anything :-) but still had the same response.
I'm now out of ideas!

UTL_DBWS is not part of XDB, XDB is more about being the web service, rather than calling a web service. Here's an example of using UTL_HTTP to test a XML DB Database Native Web Service which may help

Error in BPM application in calling web service

Hello,
I have created a BPM application with 3 steps first 2 are human steps and third one is automated step which calls web service interface via WSDL (external system).
On third step my process goes to failure and has below error.

Hello,
I have found some Debug entries into my log file when this BPM process executes and go in Suspend mode. I do not understand the error. But this Begun entries have Green symbol which I understand there should not be any problem. But then why my process goes to Suspend mode??? If you like then I can also provide this Debug entry message from log file in order to get the idea about this problem.
I use Logical destination on automatic BPM step. Which has WSDL link. This wsdl link I have test into WS Navigator which works fine. But I am wondering why it is not working in my BPM process?????
does any one has idea what to do?

Yes, SAPHTTPA (runs on application server) and/or SAPHTTP (runs on front-end pc), one of which, is required for HTTP communication. So far, nothing too elaborate as far as SOAP goes, but the logic is simplistic. Here's some sample code:

the vital piece of information in the error stack is this line:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.discovery.TargetNotMappedException: Logical Target CSD.SystemHome.f7sap03 not mapped to a physical system.
It seems that there is something wrong with the configuration of the target system for the called Web Service in your AS Java.

Error 504 DNS look up failed while calling web services using XML

Hi, I am trying to call web service from Oracle using XML.
Everything seems to be in place but im getting an error "The webserver for <My End URL> reported that an error occurred while trying to access the website. Please click here to return to the previous page."
If I directly access the end url from my browser its accessible and seems to work fine.
The http response receiveed is mentioned below:

Without far greater details as to what you are doing, what you have installed, and what you have tried, not much can be offered. All that I can gather from the information you provided is that the server name you are trying to contact either is not responding or is invalid. If you have Forms installed on your local machine (for example using Developer Suite), try using localhost rather than the hostname. For example, http://localhost:port/forms/frmservlet?form=yourform

Server-Services property called Web Services Listener in Enterprise Server

I am trying to find out the Server-Services property called Web Services Listener Port inside the Enterprise Server web console..but I cannot find it.. In the BPM manuals it is given that:-
When using FuegoBPM Enterprise Server, the Port is defined in the
Web Console as a Server-Services property called Web Services Listener
Port. Therefore, instead of the default port 9000 used in the Studio,
the URL is composed by this redefined port.
Where can I find this inside of the web console?

For 10g and 6.0 Enterprise using WebLogic, the URL is similar, but replace the {MachineName} and port number with the WebLogic host and port. And, you will need to replace the {project name} with {engine name}. The Engine name is the BPM engine name shown in the Oracle BPM admin console under Engines:

Calling web service from oracle forms 10g

Problem Description:
I'm following the steps as per the doc:

to create a java stub to call external web service and then use java importer in oracle forms to call this web service from oracle forms.
WSDL for external web service used is http://gend:83/DesignService.svc?wsdl
The service was developed by us.
Calling the web service using JDeveloper works fine but when I complie in Oracle Forms it returns wrong number of types of arguments in call SENDHELLO.
The code from oracle form to call web service is as below:

My primary skill is PL/SQL but the only information I found on Oracle's site to call a web service from a 10g Form was creating a jar file and importing the java class. Since I don't want to ask our corporate IT to make changes on the UNIX box for the jar files I went a different route.
I use UTL_HTTP.BEGIN_REQUEST to call a URL then load I load the data to a table as a CLOB since we have more than 4000 characters. Now I need to parse the XML and load it into a form. I have never done this so if there is a helpful site please let me know. I have looked at several sites but none do what I want.

Yes, it is the message line - so basically this call fails => rv:= CurrencyConvertorStub.ConversionRate(jo,'CAD','USD'); and control goes in the exception block
