  • Manual signature not restored while saving as word or excel in Adobe acrobat!

    HI there,
I need help with the below.
We have a letter headed paper with some notes and a manual signature below. Now we scan this to pdf. And this pdf will be saved as word to make changes if necessary.
But the problem is that when we use the save as feature to word in acrobat, it is not restoring the signature.
The reason for buying Acrobat for  atleast 8 people is to be able to acheive this but it seems like the licenses are wasted unless there is a work around to this problem.
Does anyone else have a similiar problem?
Would be grateful to hear your experiences and any solution to this.
    Thanks

I just tested a scanned letter with my signature and it exported to Word as an image graphic. In the Save As dialog (when saving as a Word file), there is a Settings... button. When you click this do you have "Include Images" checked?

  • Manual Signature Problem

    Hi,
I had created a signature on my IDS. Even though I have deleted it and it does not appear in the configuration, keeps generating the events in the event viewer.
    How can I stop this.
    Thanks
    Salil

A configuration that is in place when a new connection is made is attached to that connection in the database. That configuration will be in effect as long as that connection exists. If a new configuration is sent, that new configuration will be applied to new connections. The definition of "connection" depends on the circumstances of the signature. A connection can be defined as Machine A is talking to Machine B or vice versa. It can also be defined as Machine A is talking to Machine B on port b. It depends on what the configuration element is configuring.
FYI, We have a shortcut for talking about these connections. AxBx is Machine A talking to Machine B. AxBb is Machine A talking to Machine B on port b. AaBb is the full quad, SourceIP,SourcePort,DestIP,DestPort. You'll see these abbreviations in the signature parameters for storage keys and summarizations.
Don't know if this will explain *your* situation, but this topic comes up every once in a while....
As the ultimate "is in it there or not" resolution, reboot the sensor...wipes the connection database clean. We have an outstanding enhancement request to make a widget to allow you to flush the database from IDM or something.

  • Digital Signature in ECC 5.0

    Dear All,
Can anyone please confirm if we can configure Digital Signature with ECC 6.0 only? It's because I am currently working in ECC 5.0 and require to use digital signature in Form16.

Since release 4.0A, the SAP system has provided digital signatures, to secure digital documents and business processes. Previously, such digital signatures were only available for selected positions in the SAP system. If a function was to be connected to further applications, the program code had to be extended according to the application. This is very time consuming.
As of release 6.20, a standardized and flexible programming interface is available, with which the digital signature can be connected to any areas in both R/3 systems and other systems, such as APO, CRM, etc. In principle, no changes are made to the existing functions, and the following functions are added:
The document to be signed is called up by the relevant application and forwarded to the signature

  • What is the legal validity of digital signature in adobe reader?

    Good afternoon.
Sign In option of Adobe Reader, I can pick up a manual signature by a person. My question is.
Is this sign legally valid signature? Can replace a signature on paper?
    many Thanks

You need to apply a specific right to the file first in Acrobat.

  • Effectively Marking a form for a client signature

I work in the financial services business and use acrobat to create and fill out forms for clients.  Some of the forms we use are not suitable for digital signatures.  We have to fill them out and mail to a client for signature.  I have two questions:
    1) What is an effective way to make the signature field stand out and say sign here? (request for manual signature) Perhaps an easy question but I haven't come up with a solution I like.
    2) Many of our forms require either one or two signatures.  Can I make any solution to question number one dependent of a specific field being filled out?  In other words, on some forms, I would need two signatures and would like both fields to stand out otherwise, I need just one of the signature fiends to stand out.
    Thanks in advance

I have a very simple form, made fro my own template (Indesign > PDF)
When distributing I have to choose between Adobe Form Central, Email or a specific internal server. I can’t - because my client needs to define it for themselves later. What ca I do? I used to send them a simple form-file.

  • Where to laod the digital signature used to signform 16

    Hi,
I'am working on Digital Signature for form16
I configured SSL and ADS between JAVA and ABAP stacks.
Now i got a demo digital signature.
I'am confused where to load this credential and how to use it.
Please guide me with a solution

Unfortunatly the update server is having some very strange hicups every now and then. I've been able to reproduce this once on a sparc box. What I did was basicly running 'smpatch analyze' for a second time, followed by the regular 'update' command after which things worked out for me.
Some strange things also occur when you sometimes run the 'analyze' command, and then run it again. Sometimes you'll be presented with 2 different lists of available updates.

  • Requesting user capability to "Save Response as PDF File w/form design intact"

Love the new admin "Save Response as PDF File with form design intact" feature, but we really need for our indivual users (i.e. the ones filling out the form) to be able to do this. Our director still needs a hard copy of the form for manual signatures and those who pay by check. Our committee chairs use the online data (from excel file) but we also need the user to print a hard copy to physically turn in to the director. A .pdf file with form design intact that our user could print out and turn in would be helpful.

    Hi,
We have an "Ideas" page where you can add or vote on feature ideas:
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/formscentral?view=idea
I am pretty sure this idea has been added for you to vote on, but I didn't find it to link to.  I know it is a popular request though so if you need to add a new idea click "Create an idea" under "Actions" in the top right, I am sure it will get a lot of votes..
    Thanks,

  • How to "Ink Markup" a PDF when Security Settings won't Allow it?

I am an onsite computer tech support person and have been asked to solve a problem that is outside my expertise, and would appreciate any help I can find here.
The Doctor's office recieves electronic faxes from pharmacies that require the doctor's signature before being electronically faxed back, approving the medication or whatever.  Sometimes the faxes come in as .jpg files, and the doctor can use Windows Paint to "sign" a scribble in the image and send it back to the pharmacy.  But sometimes the electronic faxes come in as PDF files, and we hare having a lot of trouble figuring out how to quickly open Adobe Reader (either X or 9.2.0), make a scribble, save the image and shoot it back to the pharmacy, quickly.
I've been doing some research and while the tool "Documents>Sign>Apply Ink Signature" exists, it is non-functional.  In each case, the PDF files "Securities" settings does not allow for "Signing", so my theory is that there is some property in the document that prevents Adobe Reader from allowing a scribble to be made on the file.  I have been able to get Foxit Reader to do this, and this could be a workaround solution, but all the staff are familiar with Adobe Reader, no one has ever used Foxit before, I'm reluctant to add yet another software into their work environment, particularly if Adobe Reader has the ability to do what we want.
Am I correct, that the properties are the problem?  Can these be changed in order to allow the scribble?  Is this a global (computer) setting, or are they going to have to do this on a document-by-document basis.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    George,
Again I thank you for your detailed and informative response.  I think the office in general would prefer to stay with what they know (Adobe), but the idea of having only one workstation capable of manually configuring the documents would make the whole process too cumbersome.  Do you happen to know if there is a "corporate" license, where the office could purchase the ability to use say, 5 installations of Adobe Acrobat?  And if so, what that might cost?
It's true that FoxIt allows you to do this with unsecured documents, and that it's free. But it too would be unable to work with documents that have security restrictions that prevent commenting.
This is the thing.  The documents I was unable to "sign" using Adobe Reader had some kind of "security restrictions" as the Properties said specifically that "signing" was "not allowed", yet Foxit had no issue with this, so I am wondering if the impediments to editting these documents are something that is some kind of default behavior by Adobe Reader, as they were not created by Adobe, yet when they arrive in PDF form, Adobe assumes they cannot be "signed".  I think it's a "you can't, unless the document says you can" type of situation, but only for Adobe.  I don't think Foxit is playing by Adobe's rules.
While the office may have different types of PDF's coming in & out for various reasons, there is only one class of PDFs that need a manual "signature".  The "old way" of doing it was to print the PDF to paper, sign the paper, then scan the paper back to electronic format and then send it off via (internet-based) FAX.  Very cumbersome.
These documents are electronically generated; there is no "author" per se.  No one is delibarately setting any kind of Security Setting to allow or prohibit "signing".  It just now occured to me that finding out how these documents come to us in this condition is worth pursuing, because it may be a simple matter of changing the way these faxes are recieved to have them come in as editable JPG files, rather than Security-encumbered PDF's.  I just spend some time troubleshooting a driver issue for a Scanner, and found out you can choose it's output to be BMP, JPG, etc... so I am wondering if there is the ability to alter how an incoming FAX is outputted.
Again I think you for your time and expertise,
    J. Quick

  • ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR when calling web service

Summary: ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR was met when I called web service in ABAP with logical port & RFC Connection of type G.
    Details:
    1. the <b>test of RFC Connection of type G in SM59 works OK</b>, with SSL inactive and basic authentication.
    2. while <b>in ABAP code, the calling to web service throws ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR</b>, using the logical port with the RFC Connection as HTTp Destination.
    3. also, with using URL directly in logical port settings, the calling to web service in ABAP throws ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR.
I searched threads and blog for ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR, it seems others met ICM_HTTP_SSL_ERROR in SM59; while my case is the test in SM59 works well.
    Anybody can help?
    Thanks and kind regards.

    Dear Sayid,
The document which you had mentioned here is really helpful.
I'am working on Digital Signature for Form16 in SAP.I stucked up with the same issue.
I went through the document of
Enabling SSL and Client Certificates on the SAP J2EE Engine by Angel Dichev
in that document i went through one note
Note: Per default, the SAP J2EE Engine uses the u201Cssl-credentialsu201D entry for SSL, which contains a
public-key certificate that has been signed by a test CA. Although this certificate can be used for
testing purposes, a certificate that has been signed by a well-known, productive CA should be used
    when in production mode.
right now i'am doing it for testing purpose, in the above note it is mentioned that we can use default credentials but when i see the expiry date of this default credentials in my server 1) SSL-Credentials 2)SSL-Credentials-cert it is given that these certificates are Valid Not After 2005 year.
So i got confused now whether to use the default credentials or not.
Please guide me with a solution.
