No record set was returned

DW 8 w/current updater
php/mySQL
I have been working on a project prior to this updater
without any problem creating recordsets.
After installing the updater (can not think of any other
changes) I am getting an error when
trying to create a recordset "No record set was returned"
A little Google searching turned up another person
having the same problem. and found that any field in the
table that has an apostrophe
would create this error. So, I exported the table, removed
the apostrophes, replaced and
now I can create a record set ??
Prior to "something happening", I have been working with this
data for months ??.
And the existing site queries are working fine with the
apostrophe's in fields.

Returning Multiple Record sets to VB.

Is it possible using an Oracle 7 Driver connecting to a Oracle 9i database to return multiple record sets to screens written in VB? this is all a new area for me and the people I've spoken to so far seem to think it isn't possible - I refuse to believe this - someone must have done this before?!?!? Can someone confirm either way before I go down this path!!!!

Sounds like you need a join statement in your SQL, is the
category and field info in different tables, then a join would be
perfect, also what language are you using. I know another way in
php you could use a while loop with another RS inside that gets the
proper field info for each category.

A trigger returned a resultset and/or was running with SET NOCOUNT OFF while another outstanding result set was active

I have 2 servers connected over a low speed wan and we're running SQL Server 2008 with Merge replication.
At the subscriber, sometimes when attempting to insert new rows, I get this error:
A trigger returned a resultset and/or was running with SET NOCOUNT OFF while another outstanding result set was active.
My database doesn't have any triggers; the only triggers are the one created by the Merge replication
Also, whenever this error occurs it automatically rolls back the existing transaction
I am using DataTables and TableAdapters to
insert and update the database using transactions
What I have checked:
the database log file size is below 50Mb
Checked the source code for Zombie transactions (since I wasn't able to retrieve the actual error at the beginning)
Checked the connection between the two servers and found it congested
Questions:
How to avoid this behavior and why it's occurring at first place?
Why it's cancelling the open transaction?

did the issue happen on some specific tables or all the tables?
I suggest to run sql server trace at publisher and subscriber when the issue happens. Please involve below events and columns

I want to create a JSP which allows a user to enter search criteria for several columns of a table. I will use the entered values to set the sql where clause and produce the filtered record set. (eg the user enters a particular customer code and status code in order to see a list of orders placed by that customer which have the selected status code.)
The problem I have is this: I want the input fields for the selection criteria to be combo boxes populated with values from the database.
What is the best way to do this?

Problem building record set using Dreamweaver CS6 Cloud Product

I am having a problem building a Results Page using Dreamweaver CS6. I have followed all the steps described in Dreamweaver/Build Search and Results Page Article (multiple times). It seems that when I save the Results page it does not copy the php used to build the dynamic table. In fact when I view the source, I do not see any php code.
Additionally, when I attempt to bind the record set, it also does not accept the Default Value(s). Enstead it gives me a list of all data in the colum(s) chosen for the record set (using Where..LIKE..variable definition).
Any suggestions?

Yes, I will be glad to go through each step. I will also provide code.
Step 1: Built the Search Page by adding Form into exisitng htm page. Used Insert> Form>Form to insert Form area. Then added three (3) text fields using Text Icon from the Form Menu Bar (Classic View).
Step 2: Added a Submit and Reset Button to the Search Page. Again used the Form Menu Bar to create the Buttons.
Step 3: Selecte the <form> tag at bottom of Document Window to point Form to the Results Page (using the Action Box.
Saved page and then began building the Results Page using an existing htm page. Saved the Results Page as a .php document.
Results Page: Here are steps taken to build Results Page (Code will follow):
1/ On the Results Page created a Recordset using the bindings dialog box. Used the Advanced Recordset Dialog Box. In the Advanced Dialog Box I used the Select and Where features to create a Recordset that created a 3 column table (records.County, records.ListPrice, records.PropertyType). In the Variable box I created 3 variables (varCounty, varListPrice, varPropertyType). varCounty and varPropertyType parameters are text (Type) and % (for Default Value). varListPrice parameters are floating point (type) and % (for Default Value). RunTime Value is $_REQUEST["ColumnName"].
Here is the Code generated by Dreamweaver. Note, I am not including the code to access the database, because in all tests I am able to access the table. In fact first time I built the dynamic table, everything worked and I saw the Colum and default value. Have never been able to duplicate that effort. :-)

Error code 25974 was returned by the core audio driver?

hello, well ive been having a problem trying to record one of my dj sets directly from my mixer.
This is my set up: My dj equipment is conected via my mixer to an m-audio ozone midi keyboard (1 stereo in 1/4 TRS jack), this keyboard is connected via usb to my computer (imac g4), and im using logic express 7.0.1 as my recording software.
When i start recording, everything is working ok, i can see the signal on my
m-audio keyboard, and i can see the signal on logic, on one of the audio tracks.
But then, logic gives me an error message:
"error code 25974 was returned by the core audio driver."
and then the signal goes out, and i cant finish my recording session. The portion of the recorded set until the error, is perfect, but i need to be able to record the whole session.
i hope i made my self clear. any help!!! thanks a lot

It returned a lot of hits, and apparently you're not alone in wondering what this error means. Lots of people reporting it as an error in iTunes, and also something related to 10.4.9. But in the event no one here answers your question, I suggest you do the search yourself, slog through the results, and see if anyone's come up with an explanation that fits your scenario.

Using a session object to hold the value of a record set?

I'm trying to hold the value of a record set (or literally the content of a column in a query in a db) in a session variable so that I can call on this later and insert into another table.

No as mentioned I am (as you can see) declaring everything as a string when in actual fact the contents of the "custorderno" within the query is set to a autonumber within MS Access.
The while loop does work by returning the contents but the session object part is not working correctly with the following result returned:

I have been setting a production system with bitronix transaction manager, SQL server 2008, XA transactions and jetty 6. In the beginning this software was configured to run with MySQL. But one of my customer decided to move everything to MSSQL server 2008.
In that moment I was trying to get this up and running for some weeks (The configuration was completely different) and finally I got it.
The configuration with MSSQL server was running perfectly during 1 month but then from one day to other the error message I will show now appeared and I do not how to solve it. I almost read all the hints from google about this exception but nothing helped
me out.
I hope you guys can help me to find a way to solve it.
- I tried different version of the jdbc driver 3.0 and 4.0.
- I tried to export exactly the database to my localserver and it's running perfectly with the same configuration.
The problem is that I cannot reproduce the error in other place that is not the customer and at the same time I have no access to their internal database server. They installed all the XA transaction stuff (dll in binn, enable XA, and grant the permissions
for SQLXAUser), I am quite sure because it was running for one month without any problem.
I asked to the customer if anything happenend on their server (microsoft updates, machines reboot, ...) but nothing of these happened.
Also I tried this link out but did not help me.

Hello guys,
I have been setting a production system with bitronix transaction manager, SQL server 2008, XA transactions and jetty 6. In the beginning this software was configured to run with MySQL. But one of my customer decided to move everything to MSSQL server 2008.
In that moment I was trying to get this up and running for some weeks (The configuration was completely different) and finally I got it.
The configuration with MSSQL server was running perfectly during 1 month but then from one day to other the error message I will show now appeared and I do not how to solve it. I almost read all the hints from google about this exception but nothing helped
me out.
I hope you guys can help me to find a way to solve it.
- I tried different version of the jdbc driver 3.0 and 4.0.
- I tried to export exactly the database to my localserver and it's running perfectly with the same configuration.
The problem is that I cannot reproduce the error in other place that is not the customer and at the same time I have no access to their internal database server. They installed all the XA transaction stuff (dll in binn, enable XA, and grant the permissions
for SQLXAUser), I am quite sure because it was running for one month without any problem.
I asked to the customer if anything happenend on their server (microsoft updates, machines reboot, ...) but nothing of these happened.
Also I tried this link out but did not help me.

While executing a stored procedure which returns an integer value is giving the following Exception.

Try first to call getNextResultSet() method and than read from resultset...i don't have a loginc exp..but seems ot me is working

Read only record sets ?

We're using a function to return a ref cursor back to VB.
Works great until we try and update it. As soon as we try and update the record set we're getting an error "Multi-step operation generated errors. ". It looks to us like the record set is read-only. We've tried using an in-out parameter to a procedure - same problem. However, it works fine as long as we pass the sql instead of a call to a function or procedure.
We don't really want to have to pass the sql.
Can anyone help with this ?

Ref cursors that are returned to an application from a stored procedure are read-only if you're using ODBC or OLE DB. I believe that the beta .NET native provider will allow you to update returned ref cursors, however.
The reason it works when you issue straight SQL is that the driver actually modifies your SQL statement to get the ROWID's for all the rows. Then, it's able to update rows by building its own SQL insert statement.

Cisco Agent Error - 'A referral was returned from the server.'

Running agent 8.0.2.9 on Windows 7.
I have one person that is having trouble launching the agent software.
They are getting a popup that says, 'A referral was returned from the server.'
As of yesterday they were having no issues.
So fare we have tried the following.
Rebooted computer.
Uninstalled / reintalled agent.
Nothing has worked so far.

I have Adam's case (afarabaugh) and the workaround is working. But it is interesting to note that this started on the same day for more than one customer. There are two things which come to mind:
--Certificate expired (ruled out for Adam's case)
--Microsoft released an OS update on that day?
@ke-mccormick: can you try setting the system clock on the PC to the day before the issue started? Let me know how that goes.
Any more information you can think of would help in isolating the issue.

Record set order change

I have a record set that has the following MYSql statement

I have a repeat region that show 10 rows of data.
I have on my form some tabs labeled ticket No date make etc (
these are all
fields in the table)
I need the following to happen when a client clicks on say
the Date radio
button

How do I get the action on a radio button click.
How do I then change the MYSql statement in the record set

Are you sure you want to sort this on the database? Depending
on how many rows are returned and query performance, you might want
to just use jscript/dom to sort the rows.

Do you get any errors in Dreamweaver when it crashes?
What version?
What OS?
Have you tried trashing recreating the user config folder ( http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405604.html#main_user_config )?
Have you tried trashing the preferences ( http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/839/cpsid_83912.html )?
Has anything changed on the system recently (from program installs, to system / OS updates)?
Have you tried creating a new user account on the system to verify there is no corruption in the current user's system data?

Record set file names not appearing ?

Could anyone tell me why the file names for the record sets that I'm creating don't show up. The "lightning bolts" representing the data show up under the rs name and it appears within the code, but the file names are not next to the bolts as expected ?

Hello PZ,
Thanks for jumping in and trying to help. Sorry for my ignorance when
it comes to this as I am just diving into the world of data bases
using php and mysql. I believe I was referring to the created "table
set name" and the "fields" within them (see bottom) . In the bindings
panel the lightning bolts appear under the created table set, but the
name of the table set is not appearing and these highlighted file
names "fields" that should be next the lightning bolts to identify
them are not appearing. These names , and so on
appear in the code but not in the bindings panel next to the lightning
bolts to help me identify which one I am choosing .
The php page is working the way I want but I have to go through the
process of elimination to figure out which "field" e.g
I'm choosing when placing them in a table in my dreamweaver page. I
hope I am explaining myself properly and thank you very much again for
your efforts.
