No Service is permanently shown on my ipad2. i have not recently connected to my O2 provider

I have No Service permanently on my Ipad2, not havong connected to my O2 service provider for about 6 months.

Windows 7 Home Basic does not support ad hoc or hosted network functionality (what Connectify and Virtual Router use). At a minimum you would need to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. Note the Applies to these editions of Windows 7 statement at the right in this article.

Again using a broadband wireless (WiFi) router is the best way to go presuming its in your budget.

How to find out if the "Services" page is shown on the phone?

Hello! I have a application that pushes a page(which is actually a picture) to the user's Cisco phone, at certain time, I'll need to remove that page from the screen. To push a "Key:Services" works, but only when the page is currently displayed. If the page is pushed back, or if the page has already been removed (by user select a "Clear" soft button), then pushing "Key:Services" from server will cause strange and inconsistent behavior. Bascially I'll need to know if the "Services" page is shown on the phone screen, probably by visiting the phone's web server somewhere(just don't know where).
I managed to get around a problem like this a while back but not that lucky this time... Any ideas? Thank you very much for your help!

Re-configuring network services - after permanently removing serverfrom Tree

We have a company that has left our network, and we're
preparing to remove its server and related objects
from our Tree.
Including this server, we have five NetWare 6.5 servers.
All are on their own boxes, except for our GWIA/WebAccess
server, which is on a Virtual machine. Three servers, including
the one being removed are File Servers, the remaining two are
Application Servers related to GroupWise.
Our two GroupWise servers share the same Context, but all our
other servers (including the one being removed) are in their
own Context. All Contexts are directly below our one Tree.
The server being removed has a Read/Write Replica, serves as a
Primary Time Source and an SLPDA.
Of our remaining four servers:
- One is a Reference Time Source with a Read/Write Replica
- One is a Primary Time Source and SLPDA with a Master Replica
- One has our GroupWise POA and a Secondary GWIA running
- One has our Primary GWIA and WebAccess running
....for our two GroupWise-related servers, Directory Services
were removed to improve performance.
The number of network users should be down to about 250-350 users.
What would be the best practice recommended for handling Directory
Services, Time Source, and SLPDA's in the above scenario?
- Should we add back, Directory Services to one of our GroupWise servers
(providing a third server containing a Replica)?
- Should we add a second Primary Time Source to one of our GroupWise
servers?
- Are there any problems running a second SLPDA to a GroupWise server?

I have a broadband connection wit 4 mb speed - though I get only 3 to 3.3 mb. The TC is connected to the modem *** router through ethernet in wired LAN1 socket. My iMac is connected to the modem in LAN2 socket through either net. Though the TC is permanently connected to the modem-router, it gets connected to the internet only if it is shown in the dock. If it is exited from the doc, it loses internet connection. I tried factory reset. Still the same problem. Therefore, unless the iMac is open and the Tc is shown in the dock, TC is not connected to the internet. Therefore all the time iMac need to be open and running. I hope, eih little knowledge I have explained. Thank you

The TC is perhaps in the wrong mode..
If you have a modem router the TC should be connected by ethernet and the computer plugged into the TC not the modem.
TC will be in bridge mode.. but it can lose connection on a daily basis.. if you have that issue downgrade the firmware as later firmware is not reliable.
I recommend 7.6.1 but the earlier ones are better on 7.5.2 .. anything more than 18mths old should go back to 7.5 firmware.

Remove it from the BA and then remove it from the phone and then sync.... If that dont work you can unpair BA from phone and then make changes from both locations and then log back in...
Under Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / All / Sync Services / Clear Data.... This wont delete anything from phone or BA just stop the sync process until you log back into BA.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

You can send over WiFi, but it sounds as if you need to setup your Gmail account, or did you do this already?

The price for Downloads is no different and even if it was I am happy to pay. This also applies to Movie rental which is crazy and extremely restrictive. Apparently it is not an issue with wifi since Safari, You Tube and Maps work well, I’ve tried some of the tips, e.g. log off/on my Id, change password but no one worked.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

Backup Assistant - I am posting as a new item as this issue is shown as resolved and it is not.

I just got my second LG Cosmo 2 phone device and am having the same problem noted by others. I was told by a customer service rep to take my first phone back to a local store and exchange as the backup assistant problem I am having will be resolved. Well it did not resolve...read on. The first time I go to use the phone in the morning Backup Assistant is checking if changes to my directory have occurred. You have to unlock the phone to let it complete or you hit end to cancel the update. I have worked with customer service to fix the problem with no success. We have deleted backup assistant, which apparently re-installs automatically when you access "Apps". One customer service agent told me to change my schedule from midnight to some other time in the day as sometimes the Verizon systems are not available from midnight to 6 am. I am totally frustrated with this annoying issue every morning and especially if you are in a hurry to answer or make a call. Seems to me the backup assistant application could have a schedule option of "off" or "manual" so that this problem goes away. Let the phone user determine how they want to manage their directory backups. I've been in the software business for over 30 years and backup assistant is just poorly designed and it is proven by the numerous complaints similar to mine. It would be so simple to fix with a software update and stop a lot of wasted time in this forum or unnecessary calls to customer reps. It anyone has a solution please let me know. Thank you much.

I know how frustrating it can be to have Backup Assistant connect randomly. The next step I would take would be to uninstall the application and reinstall it. Please follow these steps to uninstall/reinstall:
To Uninstall:
Press Menu
PressMediaCenter
Press Browse and Download
Highlight Backup Assistant
Choose options on the bottom left
Choose Cancel Subscription
To Reinstall:
Press Menu
PressMediaCenter
Press Browse and Download
Press Backup Assistant
Choose Free Subscription
Then follow the steps for installation and set up.
