RFC destination error while importing a client request
Dear Experts,
We are trying to import a Client Export from our Prd system to Development System and we are unable to import the request as it pops up a RFC destination error.
We have checked the RFC in the Dev QAS and PRD related to TMSADM and all of them are working fine
FYI, We are able to release the transports from the development system and it can be moved till qas and prd . So the TMS Configuration is also good.
The data file and co file in the backend of development is the same size as that of the Prd system.
I am really stuck . Kindly suggest a solution . Please find the screenshots while importing
Regards,
Suratharajan .SHi Suratha,
Goto STMS->system overview and select the Communication tab.
Maintained the Instance number of the ASD system.
Once you maintained the instance number , you will able to see it in the RFC ASD.DOMAIN_ASD.
Also distribute the configuration after entering the instance number.

Hi,
I need some clarification according to following situation:
On one machine (A) I have installed SAP NetWeaver, Development Subscription, with double stack engines ABAP+Java and all possible usage types. On this machine I have configured a SLD (CEN) and it is running.
On another machine (B) I have diverse other SAP Trials (NSP, J2E, and CE1), they all are using a local SLD.
Now I have installed successfully one further system, a developer workplace including a Java instance and the developer studio on (B). During installation - in phase: parameter settings - I decided SLD-oriented to use the option "No SLD Destination" because I read that there had been given different changes to CTS and SLD since release SAP NW 7.0 SPS13. So I do not want to mix the 'older' SAP versions SLD with the new system, because I want to activate the usage of NWDI (installed on (A) ) via the developer studio.
Luckyly, I found the Wiki of Christian Haarmann who describes the very hard way to post-install a SLD when you have decided yourself to use the option "No SLD Destination".
WIKI: "Walkthrough Installation of SAP NetWeaver Trial and ESS Business Packages"
But he does the way, when all components are on the same machine...
Would it the right way to start post-installation of SLD with his third step: running NWA_03_Creating a connection to the SLD... and to give here the connection data of my central system with the user who is known on that server (A). If so, must this user also known with my machine which I want to use for test development (B)? Reading the newest documents about SLD and looking to the messages during the installation process, I understood that the software components being installed on the development system need no local SLD.
Before I am bollixing up my server machine I need some help and advice from you, the experts, to come clear with this situation.
Any input is appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Christian

SLD import error in XI 3.0 SP 11
Hi ,
When I try to import software components versions in IR from SLD I am getting the following error.
Error: Unable to read software component versions from System Landscape Directory
Details:

Landscape Directory "<hostname >:50000" (SWC_IMPORT_PROCESS_EXCEPTION)
MESSAGE ID: com.sap.aii.ibrep.server.sldaccess.interfaces.rb_SLDException.SWC_IMPORT_PROCESS_EXCEPTION
Did any body come across this error ?
Thanks
SunilLooks like your RFC connection is not defined properly.
Go to SM59 transaction and open TCP/IP connections, check SAPSLDAPI RFC destination is working correct by clicking on <b>Test Connection</b>
If it is not working correct.
To find your gateway host & service, go to SMGW -> Go to -> Parameters -> Display and look for <b>gateway hostname</b> and <b>gateway service</b>.
Then look for Program ID in Visual Administrator JCo Connections under services.
If you are still confused, download install guide and look for SAPSLDAPI, the documentation is available.
http://service.sap.com/instgudies -> Netweaver 04 -> Installation -> SAP XI -> Install Guide.

RFC Adaptive Model,JCO destinations error
HI,
I created the tutorial application to get Flight List using RFC adaptive model.
I created the JCO destinations in web dynpro content administrator after configuring the SLD (after many problems though ).
Our Server is Web AS 6.4 ABAP + JAVA ,but no R/3 modules installed.
WD_FLIGHTLIST_MODELDATA_DEST-type application--single server connection
WD_FLIGHTLIST_RFC_METADATA_DEST-type Dictionary-load balanced
The JCo destinations status shows green.
The test for WD_FLIGHTLIST_MODELDATA_DEST is succesful but the test for WD_FLIGHTLIST_RFC_METADATA_DEST fails with the error:
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to message server host failed Connect_PM TYPE=B MSHOST=nwserver GROUP=PUBLIC R3NAME=NWS MSSERV=sapmsNWS PCS=1 LOCATION CPIC (TCP/IP) on local host with Unicode ERROR Group PUBLIC not found TIME Thu Nov 10 18:24:23 2005 RELEASE 640 COMPONENT LG VERSION 5 RC -6 MODULE lgxx.c LINE 3515 DETAIL LgIGroup COUNTER 2
The ping fails and if i test it again,i get another error
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Connect to message server host failed Connect_PM TYPE=B MSHOST=nwserver GROUP=PUBLIC R3NAME=NWS MSSERV=sapmsNWS PCS=1 ERROR Group PUBLIC not found TIME Thu Nov 10 18:29:13 2005 RELEASE 640 COMPONENT LG VERSION 5 RC -6 MODULE lgxx.c LINE 3515 DETAIL LgIGroup COUNTER 1
What is wrong?Any more steps required?
If i try to edit it,the type is still the same-Application with single connection.
How can i change it?Do i need to change it to type Dictionary in the first place? How to proceed.
Please guide.
Regards,
Siddhartha

ESS/ MSS JCO destination error...
Hi All,
I have created all JCO destinations and when i test them , the result is successful
But once i click on ess/mss tab in portals, i get the error..
<i>com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Failed to resolve JCO destination name 'SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData' in the SLD. No such JCO destination is defined in the SLD.</i>
But i have maintained SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData in the SLD.. Actually i have two SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData services one is active and another is inactive..
For SAP_R3_HumanResources -- i have used "Logon Ticket" and for SAP_R3_HumanResources_MetaData -- used userid & pwd.
Actually i have to do UserMapping as my portal userid and R/3 userid are different.. Then in this case am i creating JCO destinations correctly.. If not how to do..
Please throw some light into this problem by your valuable suggestions.
Thanks & Regards,
Mahesh.M.RHi
I am having the exact same problem (i think). I believe that the problem is caused by a failed connection to the SLD.
In my case, if I scroll the bottom of the error page, the 'Detailed exception chain' has the error:
TypeBroker failed to access SLD: Error while obtaining JCO connection.
The same error can be found in the DefaultTrace.
This ESS is on a nw2004s sandbox portal (trying to reach an ECC 6.0 sandbox), but being lazy I just reused the SLD in my Development environment.
This is however a Java WAS 6.40 and according to Note 954820 (Compatibility of SLD in the system landscape)
QUOTE
In general, the connection of systems to the SLD is released for SLD client applications with releases earlier than or equal to the SLD release (to be more precise: the AS Java release on which the SLD runs). Within a release, all Support Packages are released.
UNQUOTE
So, i'll try activating the SLD on a nw2004s JAVA WAS and use that instead.

SLD Configuration : Error opening an RFC Connection
Hi All,
I am working on EP6 SP19 and trying to configure SLD.
I was trying to check the data collection with the transaction RZ70,and I got the following error:
Data collected succesfully
Used RFC Destination: SLD_NUC
RFC call failed: Error opening an RFC Connection
Existing periodic jobs removed, number: 1
Program scheduled: 20070327
Event controlled job already exists, scheduling not necessary
I performed the follloewing steps:
I have imported CRContent.zip succesfully.
I have configured the data supplier bridge with following parameters.
Update local SLD (sld/active): TRUE
RFC Gateway:
Server : <host name of J2EE server>
Service : <The SAP gateway service port> (here I gave sapgw00)
This gateway service is installed while installing WAS Java.
Please clarify if I can use the same or Do I need to install standalone gateway instance?
I restarted the Data supplier bridge it is running.
I have created RFC destinations through visual administrator with
JCO RFC provider and used the same name for the program id
in RFC destination of SM59
Once the above steps are done,I am getting the error.(Error opening RFC)
Please give me a clue of wat else do I need to do?
Regards,
SanthoshHi,
check the following once.
How to configure the R/3 system as technical system into portal is follows.
U need to add some properties in VA.
Then only it will works.
U can goto the VA and in SLD data supplier add some properties like this.
1)HTTP settings: host = poratl host , port=50000 ,user = portal username , pwd=give thepwd.
2)RFC settings : Gateway host= poratl host and Gatewayservice=sapgw00
3)CIM client generation settings :host and port are the same as above and user and PWD same above
After this u need to check the Cimclicnt and that shows success.
And finally u need to go to the SLD add ur r/3 system properties and and ip address and host name in the host file of ur windows.
and finally add message server host in the services file in ur windows.
Have you checked the JCo destinations And SLD connetions.
If all are correct then u can add the properties in the Application server
Host file add the IP address and alias name
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host
in services file add the <Messageserverhost> 3600/tcp.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services.
Then it might helps you.
Thanks,

AS-ABAP (BI) system registration in SLD RZ70 Error
Hi guys, I'm following the SAP note 983156 - BI configuration w. Template Installer and I'm in the step in order to establish communication between my BW IDES and Portal.
""Checking the AS-ABAP (BI) system registration in SLD""
the note says:
"When configuring the Webdynpro Jco destination connectivity the AS-ABAP (BI) system must be configured in the SLD."
Procedure:
Logon to the SLD: http://<host>:<port>/sld. (Your configured SLD (central or local SLD))
Please check in Home -> Technical Systems -> select type ABAP. This
should have configuration of your ABAP (BI) system.
If it is missing, logon to your ABAP (BI) system -> goto transaction RZ70. Fill in the SLD bridge: gateway info -> Activate -> Start data collection."
Well, when I'm in SDL Home > Technical systems, I have nothing there, so I started to enable the SDL Bridge in RZ70 and after running it, it gives me the error:
0: ibm_IAM_00 : Collection of SLD data finished
0: ibm_IAM_00 : Data collected successfully
0: ibm_IAM_00 : RFC data prepared
0: ibm_IAM_00 : Used RFC destination: IBM_PORTAL_IAN
0: ibm_IAM_00 : RFC call failed: JCO.Server could not find server function 'SET_SLD_DATA'
0: ibm_IAM_00 : Existing periodic jobs removed. Number: 1
0: ibm_IAM_00 : Program scheduled: 20100602 000100
1: ibm_IAM_00 : Event-controlled job already exists; scheduling not necessary
I looked through other posts, I eliminated SLD_NUC and SLD_UC from JAVA Visual Administrator, but still, the error persists.
Any ideas?Hi Kuatroka,
In relation to the following error received: "JCO.Server could not find server function SET_SLD_DATA"
1) RZ70 could not find gateway - check gateway defined in RZ70 is up and running in host and SLD home page ->Administration -> Data Supplier Bridge and SLD gateway host is reachable from ABAP system host.
2) Be aware SLD/J2EE does not install a gateway as standard - you must either install a dedicated gateway instance using Presentation CD/DVD or you must use a local ABAP gateway (normally local ABAP stack if SLD runs on J2EE ADDIN) or ensure the definitions are correct for any other ABAP systems gateway you choose to use
3) Check the definitions in SLD -> Administration ->Data Supplier Bridge match the definitions in RZ70 - try also FQDN. Ensure these are the same!
4) If you are operating multiple SLD see SAP note 700127
5) Ensure you have not manually created entries for SLD_UC and SLD_NUC in the JCO RFC provider of the visual administrator. The SLD has its own internal JCO provider so there should be no entries in that of the Engine.
I am not sure of your SP levels, but this may also apply: if you have a gateway service on the defined host, the definitions
match between RZ70 and SLD, the gateway is running then it could be a problem with RZ70 - implement notes 906454 and 926089 and 907729.
I hope this information helps.
All the best,

You had better check RFC Destination by SM59,
and JCo RFC Provider by Visual Admin .
1:Check whether Program ID is matching.
2:Check ABAP System is Unicode or Non-Unicode,
and collect settings.
->if ABAP System is Non-Unicode System,
Check off the Unicode Flag of JCo RFC Provider.

Hi,
I am working on Open Hub (first time ofcourse). And performing following steps:-
Modeling>Open Hub> InfoArea> Create Open Hub Destination> Output to File .csv. field names>DIrectory> activate> Create transformation> activate Transformations>Create DTP..Here I am getting an error that destination Open Hub is not active.
Can anyone please tell me am i missing any step here?
ThanksHi...
Always bear in mind that the OHD, once created, should be saved and activated, before creating any transformations or DTPs for it.
And each time the OHD is changed, all the objects corresponding to it... (The transformations and the DTPs) should be activated.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Webi scheduling to destinations error
Hi,
I'm trying to schedule a Webi report to export to a shared folder. I'm using BOXIr2 SP4 in a Windows environment.
We schedule a lot of Crystal reports to destinations and in order to do this each time we need a new destination we get our Securities Access Team to give our BOXI account access to the relevant folder.
This is the first time we have tried to export a Webi report and we keep getting the error 'destination file error. CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged: Access is denied', even when we try to export to a folder we know the Crystal reports are successfully exporting to.
What extra access do Webi reports need in order to be successfully exported to a folder? The 'unmanaged disk' destination is enabled for our webi jobservers and I have the correct rights to schedule to destinations from the BOXI folder of reports.
thanks
KeithHave found the answer - the webi job server was running under the local system account not the proper network account that the crystal job server was running under.

Third Party (Garnishment) checks - RFC destination error
We have an issue with our testing of Third Party Garnishment checks. We have a split system, with our HCM system residing separately from the remaining ECC modules.
We are getting an error in regards to the printing of the checks in A/P.
The posting is working fine
the vendor account is cleared
However, It’s not creating a check # or check form.
We can do other check runs in this client fine; it’s just the 3PR runs that cause the error.
The text of the error message is as follows: An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system HPQCLNT210.
We have exhausted our resources here looking into the RFC connection and the partner profile and we cannot find anything wrong with them.
Can someone offer suggestions on what else we could check? Thanks so much.Hi David,
Did you check below is set-up correctly.
- Use transaction SM59 to create an RFC destinations for the remote system.
- Use transaction BD54 to create the logical system.
- Use transaction BD97 to link the RFC destination created in SM59 with the logical system created in BD54.
Also, check entries in TBLSYSDEST is filled with correct system name HPQCLNT210. Generally this error occurs when system name is incorrect in TBLSYSDEST.
Thanks,

RFC destination error in posting 3rd party payment in 4.7 FI system
Hi,
We are running in to a problem when we are processing a payment via transaction F110S in our R/3 4.7 system for Financials. We are integrating our Financial system with ECC6.0 for HCM. We receive 3rd party invoice from HCM successfully via ALE and post it in 4.7 system. When we try to process payment against this invoice, apparently 4.7 system is trying to communicate with ECC 6.0 system and issuing an error and the payment processing gets cancelled. It generates a clearing document with out a check.
The error says "An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system HD1CLNT014
Message no. B1550
Diagnosis
An RFC destination should be specified for the logical system
HD1CLNT014. This could not be done in this case. HD1CLNT014 is not your
local logical system and this system is not included in the relevant
Customizing tables.
Procedure
Check:
- RFC destination
-Port definition
-oubound partner profile of message type SYNCH for this logical system
We checked our configuration for all Logical system and RFC destination and everything seems fine.
Any help in this regard is appreciated.
Thanks
