No space left in End User subarea

Hello FDK Developers,<br /><br />After compiling some fonts I got an error code don`t know to handle<br />right. Some glyphs don`t be encoded in unicode.<br /><br />If I change the GlyphOrderAndAliasDB and assign the glyphs direct to a<br />specific unicode value everything works well. But it should work without<br />such a workflow.<br /><br />MakeOTF reports error codes like this one:<br /><br />makeotflib [WARNING] <FontName> glyph <yen.titling> not encoded in<br />Unicode cmap: no space left in End User subarea<br /><br /><br />Andreas

There is not much I can do about this issue.   <br />   <br />The problem is that the end user block is of limited size, and your font has filled it up. MakeOTF uses this area to assign arbitrary Unicode values to all the glyphs for which its heuristics cannot derive a valid Unicode value. When this happens, there are no other Unicode values that can be used.   <br />   <br />Your comment about using GAODB to assign Unicode values suggests to me that you do have valid Unicode values in mind for at least some of these glyphs; if this is the case, then you should not be letting MakeOTF assign end-user-area values, which have no semantic value and which will map to different glyphs in different fonts. The MakeOTF heuristics  only cover a relatively small number of glyph names, so all glyph names not covered by the heuristics should be assigned Unicode values either by using a "uni<XXXX> name or with the third column of the GAODB file.

  • No logical space left to create more user strings

    So, what I tried to do was to put over 700,000 strings into an array. That seems impossible according to this error.
    Error 1
    Unexpected error writing metadata to file -- 'No logical space left to create more user strings.'
    What do you recommend me to use for such a large number of string constants?
    I intend to search through them many times.

    There is a limit on the number of strings you can define in an assembly but you could store the strings externally, for example in a file or in a database.

  • Update problems, no space left on device (ZTE Open)

    I just received a ZTE Open device in the mail today, and after playing around with it a bit, I noticed that every time I tried to check for system updates, it would show me one 13.xx MB update, which I downloaded, apparently applied, and the phone seemed to restart itself, but then I would be shown the same (??) update available. The phone is without a SIM card, just playing with it connected via Wifi, with the 4GB microSD card installed. Then, this evening, I got an error message, which apparently was recorded on the SD card, a file called recovery.log (contents follow):

    The SD card also contains a zip file in updates/fota/update.zip, which in turn contains patch/system/P752D04_DEV_US_20130726.zip, which contains: amss.mbn (about 20 meg) and boot.img (about 4 meg).

    Just jumping in here, I received mine on the 23rd and I am also seeing the same problem, but the logs are a bit different. Although, I am running OPEN_US_DEV_FFOS_V1.0.0'''B02'''. While the recovery log states B01.
    I'll toss my log up as well so trends can be examined.

  • Error when recording f4v-files: Error from libmp4.so: No Space left in the stsd box.

    We are recording live streams on a Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5.3 r824. In general, everything works fine, so there are no appliaction-issues. But sometimes (it is not reproducable yet) a stream stops recording without any notice or event in the application. All we can find is such a message in our core.log:
    2010-03-05 03:30:00 4747 (e)2611178 Error from libmp4.so: No Space left in the stsd box. -
    2010-03-05 03:30:00 4747 (e)2611423 Failed to record [...]16891_14351_RGtBCODxPR4cM8QfML9CuxqhHqutMwWX.f4v (Unknown Error). -
    Can anyone give me a hint, where i could start searching for the cause of this error?
    These streams are in general sent by Adobe Media Live Encoder.
    Thanks in advance
    Suha

    You're running out of sample description spaces in your recording of an F4V - this is presumably because you're splicing together different H264 encodings or other types of media.  No matter, you can configure this value up from it's default of 10 - check out Server.xml in your configs and you'll find this section
    <Recording>
                        <!-- Maximum ELST entries in a recording.  ELST entries are used when there     -->
                        <!-- are gaps in a kind of content.  Gaps occur during an append to the file    -->
                        <!-- or when content like video ends while other content proceeds.  If more    -->
                        <!-- gaps or appends occur than configured here, recording would terminate    -->
                        <!-- Making this value too high takes up unnecessary space in each recorded file-->
                        <!-- Default value is 100                            -->
                        <MaxELSTEntries>100</MaxELSTEntries>
                        <!-- Each change in codec for a content type, like two different video codecs    -->
                        <!-- takes a sample description.  All space for sample descriptions is made on    -->
                        <!-- file creation.  If codec type changes more than descriptions available    -->
                        <!-- recording will terminate.  Adding too many descriptions takes unnecessary    -->
                        <!-- space for every file record.  Default is 10 for each type            -->
                        <MaxDataSampleDescriptions>10</MaxDataSampleDescriptions>
                        <MaxAudioSampleDescriptions>10</MaxAudioSampleDescriptions>
                        <MaxVideoSampleDescriptions>10</MaxVideoSampleDescriptions>
                    </Recording>
    You'll want to increase the appropriate SampleDescription Max.  Not sure which it is yet (audio/video/data) but in theory you can increase any or all as needed.  These boxes are set in size when you start your recording so all recordings will bloat very slightly to cover this case that most users don't run into, but feel free to set the SampleDescription limits higher and you should stop seeing this.

  • Form Designed in LiveCycle will not work for End User

    Please Help!
    I am a newbie to Adobe LiveCycle but recognized the utility in the program, so decided to give it a while to try and streamline some of my employer's forms.  After spending too much time learning how to design a form (much to the dislike of my boss), I am finally going to have to ask for some help.  So here's the deal:
    I've designed a dynamic pdf in LiveCycle with two master pages and two repeating flowed subforms.  The first repeating subform is basically an expanding table intended to be used as a photographer's log where they can log each photo taken with the camera.  The expanding table has some code with a button at the top for the end user to enter the number of photos on the photo roll, click submit, and table expands to however many instances of rows are needed for each photo that was taken.  The second subform is basically an image field and text fields used as photo captions/photo compilation pages.  When the end user clicks submit on the first subform to expand the table, I also have javascript in that click event to also create same amouint of instances of the second subform (the photo compilation page(s)).  Each text field for the photo caption on the second subform is populated by the data entered into the photo log table cells.  I was able to find a script to correctly populate those fields for each instance of the table.  Wish I had the form here, but it's at work at the moment.
    My problem is this: I've scratched and clawed to get all of the forms expanding correctly and the scripts populating each instance of the fields correctly and everything works great in LiveCycle preview.  I then saved the form as PDF for use by my field crew personnel (whom all use, at the very least, Adobe Pro 9, but most Pro X).  I sent the new form to them and they move it to their desktop, open it with Adobe Pro, and populate all of the fields and everything works swimmingly.  However, once they save it, it gets all jumbled and they can't even print it.  We even thought we found a workaround by entering all data and printing to PDF, but even that has turned out to not work.  I checked to make sure that I designed and saved the form in LiveCycle for use with the Adobe Pro versions, but still not working for my end users.
    Anyone have any thoughts on my long explanation??  Please HELLLLPPPP!

    The error(s) occur when trying to save the document.  I want each user to tell the first page how many rows they will need in the photo log table, so they would enter however many photos were taken in the box: "Number of Photos on Roll:"  ---> Then click the "Submit" cmd button.  That should expand the table.  Once it expands, it should also add the same amount of instances of the photo compilation page (2nd Page) as there are rows in 1st page table.  Then the user will populate each cell of the table on page 1 with data.  The data entered into the page 1 table cells will populate the text fields (photo caption) in Page 2 once the user clicks on the "Populate Captions!" cmd button in the lower left corner of the table on Page 1.
    The problem is in the distributing of the form to the user so they can save the form after populating the data.  I did a test run this morning and for some reason it did do the "print to PDF" correctly for 5 photos on the roll (though this has not been happening every time and especially for a large number of pages, ie. 80 photos).  However, after entering the data for 5 rows on page 1 and then populating the 5 photo compilation pages, I saved a copy as "Save As PDF" and closed the document.  Then re-opened the copy in Acrobat Pro X.  The new copy:
    -had 5 additional rows added to Page 1
    -Duplicates of some of the fields
    -Only retained the 1st instance of the Second Page (Photo w/ Caption) and not all fields were populated
    Again, this all works fine in the LiveCycle Preview but not anywhere else.  I do not have this set up to be linked to an external data source (YET) but there is javascript in the cmd buttons.  I also do not want to distribute this form to end users and then collect the data back from them.  I want them to be able to save a copy of my LiveCycle designed form, open in Adobe Pro, populate the data and save as many copies as needed for form production.

    Comment by: liquidsunshine on Tue, 14 Apr 2009 03:07:28 +0000
    Also, you might want to fix the line in the PKGBUILD that says:
    pkgdesc="upload files to the AUR"
    since it's not really accurate. =)
    Comment by: Xyne on Wed, 15 Apr 2009 04:51:31 +0000
    You just don't know about the hidden options :P
    Sorry about the md5sum change. I've been updating nearly everything at once (refactoring, adding man pages, changing my build and upload scripts, changing the site backend, etc) and I haven't reached a stable point yet. Thanks for letting me know about it.
    The funny thing is that I'm so tired right now and bouncing back and forth between so many things that I only saw the pkgdesc at first. I thought this was aurploader (where the desc came from) and thought you meant it should be "upload pkgs to the AUR" instead of "files"... and ended up discovering that they've changed the AUR submit form so I had to update aurploader (and fix all my package categories).

    Haha! Glad I helped you discover something then. I love the program by the way. It makes cron useful on a laptop! =)

    missing dependency: fmodex .. or rather, it can't find its libs directory.
    Doing LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/df_linux/libs dwarffortress fixed this problem.
    But then another problem appears: It can't find the index file and says it must be in the data folder.
    Running the game as root works.

    Wooops.. the person I had test it must have had that installed. Can you elaborate on the second error? The tester didn't mention anything about it. I can't test it at the moment myself. I'll try to get another pkgrel out tonight though.

    Well, Thats about all it says really.
    I straced it and found that it tries to open data/index with READ-WRITE mode, but the file is owned by root and has only the READ right set.
    After chowning it to root:games and setting it to chmod g+w it started. however, trying to create a world resulted in a segfault.
    Doing chmod g+w on all files in data fixed it.

    I get the same error like epsilom. I think the pkgbuild can currently not build an i686 package, but Ive no time to investigate/fix that at the moment..

    Just replace version in PKGBUILD
    Comment by: zelut on Thu, 24 Dec 2009 19:43:57 +0000
    updated to 10.0.42.34.
    also, i believe, I have fixed the error re: strip. a 32bit system is unable to recognize or strip a 64bit binary. This package technically should only be installed on a 64bit host.

    You ought to read my last post under yours ;-)
    The proper way of making the present PKGBUILD is that--> e.g. provides=("smplayer=${_latestver}") , since I inform pacman for the real version of the package.
    And I'm actually having as depedency the "extra" mplayer.

    hi, about the smplayer.desktop file.
    i think you should use the %f argument for the Exec line instead of %u
    because it's not necessary to translate filenames into URLs on a unicode-able system like linux

    Update: added a patch made by wantilles, that restores alsa as default audio output driver (now it is pulseaudio)

    The Patch doesn't work.

    Please help me with this.. as we are not having a good backup since 3 days and its on the PRD server.
    Reward points assured

    Hi,
    First off all run CleanupLogs in DB13, if it is not working then check core files in /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/background/. If they are present move one of them to the other place, then again run CleanupLogs, after move back the core file, and again start CleanupLogs. Also check available space in sapbackup folder. After you can take your backup.

  • End User Rules

    Hi Experts,
    When I wanted the end users to have access to a Rule, I'm used to add the rule name to the endUserAccess Attributes in the SystemConfiguration object. And it works fine.
    But the FAQ page in Sun IDM partner space says that if you specify ur rule as follows,
    <Rule authType='EndUserRule'.....>that rule will be accessible by the end user. But this does not work for me. I'm getting the same error id. view access denied for subject blah blah.
    Did any body try this ? Or if you have any other idea to give the end users have access to rules please share it.
    Regards,
    Biju

    Make sure to set both the authType as well as the MemberObjectGroups. Here's an example:
    <Rule name='testRule' authType='EndUserRule'>
        <block>
            <s>Test</s>
        </block>
        <MemberObjectGroups>
            <ObjectRef type='ObjectGroup' name='All'/>
        </MemberObjectGroups>
    </Rule>

  • End user question

    There must be a simple answer to this but I'm not seeing it.
    I created a sample application from an account with Developer privs.
    I now want to create an Application End user. I clicked the Manage Application Express Users link for the workspace.
    I then created a user, entered password, left the Accessible Schemas field blank (it says NULL for all),
    User is a developer is set to no, User is an administrator is set to no.
    Account Availability is set to Unlocked
    Require Change of Password on First User is set to Yes
    I save the user.
    I then log out and attempt to log in with the new user account.
    It prompts me for a new old and new password twice as I expected.
    Once I save the changes, I get:
    Logout
    Access denied by Application security check
    Return to application.
    What do I need to set in the user account to allow this end user in?
    Thanks

    As far as I can tell, the answer is no.
    The fields that have values in them are:
    Name: which is set to Application Express
    Description:
    Session Not Valid Page: 101
    Authentication Function: -BUILTIN-
    Logout URL: wwv_flow_custom_auth_std.logout?p_this_flow=&APP_ID.&amp;p_next_flow_page_sess=&APP_ID.:1

  • To restrict End user to enter EAN code manually

    In Premargin check when we go for Bar code scanning, the EAN code field appears in editable mode. After scanning an article that field gets the EAN code automatically from database table for that particular article. But one can modify that ean code as it appears in editable mode. I want to make that field to appear in grey mode so that end user can not enter ean code manually and if i scan an article this field gets the ean code from master data.
    How can i restrict end user to enter the EAN code manually in the EAN code field.

    Dear Sri,
    Thanks for your reply but i have tried this option also. Let me explain you about the scenario.
    In UI screen there is a field EAN code. It can be filled either by scanner or an end user can feed the data on his own without scanning the article.
    What i want is to make this happen only by scanning not by manual entry.
    Whenever an article is scanned its EAN code automatically should come in that field.
    I have made the field in grey mode but while scanning it is not picking the EAN code of that article and throwing an error message as "EAN code field can not be left blank". When I am making that field in editable mode then it is able to pick the EAN code after scanning.

  • How can my end user password-protect a document that has been digitally signed?

    Hello,
    I have seen some threads that indirectly address parts of this question, but am still left unsure about whether this process can be done - and if it can, I could use your help in understanding it - thank you.
    Two of our end users use digital signatures (certificate-based) in Acrobat 9 Pro to sign documents attesting the accuracy & calibration status of lab equipment for use in a legal environment.  These end users are concerned that their documents could be altered or edited, and asked me if password protection can also be applied to their documents that need to be digitally signed.
    Thank you in advance for your advice.

    Do you apply "Open" password or "Permissions" password or both? If you apply "Permissions" password (with or without the "Open" password) make sure that "Changes Allowed" include Filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields" or "Commenting, filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields". If permissions do not allow you to sign, you cannot sign.
    Be aware of the alert that Acrobat pops up when you apply "Permissions" password that all Adobe products respect permissions that you set but that 3rd-party PDF Viewers may not (and many do not).
    That is exactly what I was missing! I apply only "Permissions" password, but had the "Changes Allowed" drop-down set incorrectly - it was set to "None."  After changing that setting to allow "Filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields," the end user was able to digitally sign the document, her desired goal.
    Thank you so much.

  • Check space in the end to display warning message.

    I am currently working on validations on functional locations in the EDIT MASK. the code is already written for validations on to check for space in the beginning of the each level in the edit mask. however user requirement is that the program should produce warning messages for spaces regardless of where they appear in the Edit Mask. we have not validated to check for space at the end of each level.
    I have checked with condense ,shift string right deleting trailing spaces however I am not able to check for space at the end of levels.
    when i debugged the program the level8 length shows as 2 even though there is only one char in the level8. i
    could you please suggest any possible solution or any keywords that would help. you can go through the below code which is already written for checking space in the begining.
    here l_level1
    Level 8 errors
        l_length = STRLEN( l_level8 ).
    IF ( l_level8 = space AND l_dash_count > 6 ) OR
             l_dash_count > 7 OR
             l_length > 4.
          lt_mask_err-error = '8E'.
          APPEND lt_mask_err.
          l_errlvl8 = c_y.
        ENDIF.
    Level 8 Warning
        IF rb_bdc <> c_on AND p_warn = c_on AND
        ( l_level8 <> space AND l_level8+0(1) = space ).
          lt_mask_err-error = '8W'.
          APPEND lt_mask_err.
        ENDIF.
    i have added this code to display warning message using shift.
        l_lev8 = l_level8.
        shift l_lev8 right.
        l_length = STRLEN( l_lev8 ).
        IF rb_bdc <> c_on AND p_warn = c_on AND
        ( l_lev8 <> space AND l_lev8+0(1) = space ).
          lt_mask_err-error = '1W'.
          APPEND lt_mask_err.
        ENDIF.

    You can use REGEX for string parsing, it is really handy. If you would like to test it out check out program "demo_regex_toy".
    Trailing space:
    FIND REGEX '[ ]+$' IN lv_text.
    leading space
    FIND REGEX '^[ ]+' IN lv_text.
    Any space
    FIND ALL OCCURRENCES OF REGEX '[ ]+' IN lv_text.
