No successful initialization of the delta took place

This morning I am suddenly getting this error in many of my process chains;
"No successful initialization of the delta took place"
I'm baffled as I can't think of anything I changed in the system since the last successful day which was Friday morning.  This message is not very useful; all of the 10+ infoproviders that have failed (with same message) have been working for a long time and have indeed had successful delta initialization requests so this makes no sense.
Anybody experience this or now what I should look into to fix this?  I tried rerunning immediately in foreground and I get the same error.

Thank you Roberto, the log definitely indicates somebody deleted the init requests!!!  It shows a consultant name though who hasn't been here for ages.  My boss says that many jobs will still appear under this consultants name because he is the one who last saved the objects or something like that.  So I'm not clear on who or how it happened.  Is there a way to fake the system into thinking the inits are there now by performing a 'simulated init request'?

  • Doc. for using 'Simulate the Initialization of the Delta Pro'

    Hello!
I am trying to find documentation on using the 'Simulate the Initialization of the Delta Procedure' in the SBIW of the SAP R/3 system 3.1i.
If anyone can provide the documentation or a link to the correct source, I woul appreciate it greatly.
    Thank you,
    Sharon Bomberger
    [email protected]

    Hello Sharon,
    jere is the documentation:
    Delta process initialization simulation
    Use
If the delta process has not yet been initialized, but you want to test the delta upload, you have the option of simulating the initialization.
This runs the help entries in all the required tables in BW and in the source system, without loading any data from the source system.
In the monitor, you get a message telling you that a record has been loaded. The initialization-simulation request appears in all the data targets in which an update has taken place. However, this request contains only help entries. The simulation does not update any data in the data targets.
    Dependencies
After you have tested the delta upload in this way, initialize the delta process.
    Note
You are able to simulate the initialization of the delta process for extractors available as of PlugIn 99 (A), that is, BW-BCT 2.0.
    Kind reg.
    Michael

  • Error in Delta Infopacakge after successful initialization

    Hi,
We are having a content datasource 0customer_attr for which we are having Init and Delta infopackages. After the BI system copy from Productive system to Quality system, we have re-connected the R/3 source system and deleted the old Init settings and cleared the PSA. After which we ran the program RSSM_OLTP_INIT_DELTA_UPDATE for that datasource and started the Initialize with/without data transfer which ran successfully. But whenever we try to run the delta infopackage, it is giving the following error :
Error message from the source system
    Diagnosis
An error occurred in the source system. (Job terminated in source system --> Request set to red)
    System Response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
    Further analysis:
The error occurred in Extractor .
    Refer to the error message.
    Procedure
How you remove the error depends on the error message.
    Note
If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that the file that you wanted to load was being edited at the time of the data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory, that it is not being processed at the moment, and restart the request.
For the first time when we tried with delta it gave a different type of message like :
Non-updated Idocs found in Source System
    Diagnosis
IDocs were found in the ALE inbox for Source System that are not updated.
    Processing is overdue.
    Error correction:
Attempt to process the IDocs manually. You can process the IDocs manually using the Wizard or by selecting the IDocs with incorrect status and processing them manually.

  • I am trying to update an old version of itunes, my computer says it took place, but when I hook up my daughters new ipod it says the new version is needed.  What do I need to do?

I am trying to update an old version of itunes, my computer says it took place, but when I try to sync my daughters new ipod it says a newer version if itunes is required?

In iTunes, look at Help/About iTunes and as the screen rolls up, check for the version number. Ignore the bit that says iTunes 10 in massive bold lettering, wait for the smaller text to appear as the it rolls up. The latest version (on 15th April 2012) is iTunes 10.6.1.7 and the text you should see will simply state iTunes 10.6.1.7. Underneath that will be "gumpf" about copyright etc.
If your iTunes does not say this, then something must have gone wrong with the update you did. How did you do it? The usual way is to simply select (in your iTunes), Help/Check for Updates. In my case, the return message I see states This version of iTunes (10.6.1) is the current version. The alternative message will state something like "there is a later version of iTunes available, do you wish to download it" or similar. Selecting "Yes" would begin the download and if you leave it to run itself, the update should take effect, providing you don't stop it or (I guess) keep iTunes so busy it cannot run the update. It may need to close and re-open before the change takes effect.
At a guess, the reason your daughter's iPod is saying it requires a newer version of itunes is either because you've just bought it, and you have a fairly old version of iTunes - AH!, that may be the problem. >>
    >> If the version of iTunes you had installed was very old, then the update may have updated to something other than the latest version. So even if the update has taken place, if it only updated from, for example, iTunes 8 to iTunes 9, then it may need a further update to get to version 10 or to 10.6.1. So for you, now, check after update for the version your iTunes thinks it is until it states iTunes 10.6.1.7.
Alternatively, if your daughter's iPod has been Synced with another computer (with a later version of iTunes than yours, even by one increment), then that would cause then issue you currently have, because her iPod will now only want to work the the latest version it has previously done business with, not your old version.
Note; the current version of iTunes as I've stated it, may change any day. Apple do not announce when updates will be released. Uisng Help/Check for Updates and seeing the return message This version of iTunes (10.6.1) is the current version is the only sure way of telling that you are up to date.
Additional note; gumpf = slang for "random junk".
Let us know how you get on.

  • I know the day and time of a conference call that took place b/w 2 Verizon customers and a 3rd party but it is not reflected in either phone record. Why?

I am an attorney with a law firm that is involved in litigation where the date and time of a 3 way call that took place in June 2009 between an attorney at my firm, a broker, and the broker's client.  The broker and broker's client are both Verizon Wireless customers.  I have their phone records for June 2009.  I am 100% certain a three way phone call took place between the attorney in my firm, the broker, and broker's client.  However there is no phone record that shows a phone call between all three individuals. .
The first Verizon Customer is a local real estate broker with a West Palm Beach, Florida  phone number with a 561 area code.  The other Verizon Customer is the broker's client and was in CT on both 6/24 and 6/25.  The broker's cell phone records were reproduced by Verizon in 2014. I believe the client's cell phone records were reproduced by Verizon in 2013. The client has an 860 area code.  The law firm is in Palm Beach County with a 561 area code.  Any phone call from the law firm to the broker would be local and would only show up on the broker's cellphone record.  Any phone call from the law firm to the broker's client (who was not a client of the law firm) would be reflected in the law firm's long distance records.  There is no such phone call.  The broker's cell phone records show a 10 minute phone call between the broker and the law firm at 2:24 p.m on 6/24.  There is a 8 minute phone call from the broker to the law firm at 9:39 am on 6/25 and a 22 minute phone call from the law firm to the broker at 9:48 am.  The broker's cellphone record shows that during the 9:48 phone call the broker attempted to perform a 3 way call with the client at 10:04 and again at 10:05. Each attempt lasts just 1 minute and neither shows up on the client's cell phone records.  The phone call with the law firm and broker lasts an additional 4 minutes.
The broker's and client's cell phone records show a 10/11 minute phone call on 6/25 depending on the record at 8:41 am.  There are numerous other phone calls between the broker and client on other days.
If the broker called the client then called the law firm, then the initial phone call should be reflected in both Verizon invoices, and the 2nd call should be reflected in the broker's record.
The same would be true if the client initiated the phone calls.
If the broker called the law firm or law firm called the broker, then called the broker's client the phone call should be reflected in the law firm's long distance records and the client's records.  It is not. There is no documentation that shows the client was participating in a 3 way call.
My question is why not?   Alternatively, is it possible for the 3 way call not to be reflected in the records?  I have the phone records of both customers. I also have the invoice number for the broker.  How can I find out if the broker added the client to any of the above calls.

Hi papal74. I am sure that this is a situation in which these call records are extremely important. In order to provide additional information about these call records we would need to speak with you personally. Please give us a call at 800-922-0204. This way we can get down to the bottom of this.

  • Initialize the delta load

    Hi BW Experts,
    I have question...
    1. There is a ODS01 which feeds many data targets.
    2. We created a ODS02 which also will be loaded by this ODS01. The update type would be  DELTA.
    3. We created a INFOCUBE01 which will be loaded by the ODS02. The update method would be FULL UPDATE.
    4. The first time (later on i didnt get this msg) when i went to the infosource for the <b>8ODS02</b> and tried to create a infopakge to load the full update of the INFOCUBE01, i got a msg that " THERE IS NO ACTIVE DELTA INITIALIZATION FOR THIS DATASOURCE".
The details of the msg is:
    Procedure
You have to initialize the delta load for a DataSource before you are able to load the delta data from it.
If you want to load deltas only for the purposes of testing, or you do not require any initialization data (because you have already uploaded it using a full upload, for example) use an initialization simulation.
This way, only the init. entries you require are made in the control tables of the source system, and a 'dummy' entry appears in the Monitor, setting the load status to green.
No data is in fact loaded, however, and the initialization takes only a few seconds to complete.
Does this mean i have initialize the delta load in the ODS02 or the INFOCUBE01.
How do i do that ?
<i>(I actually did few full loads then i was informed that it would be a delta load from the ODS01 to ODS02,
within the infopkg for ODS02, I selected the Delta update next time, and did start immdtly, then check the monitor, it displays no records)</i>
I'm little confused with this initialization, and in what cases would i do it.
    Would you please help...
    Thank you,
    Tia

    1. so, you are saying for the ODS02, do a full load first.
    2. Then do a "Initialize delta process".
    3. Then do a "delta process".
I had partially tried this, I did a full load first in one infopackage, then created another infopackage trying to do a "Initialize delta process". I get a msg as following:
    <i>Diagnosis
Deltas have already been loaded for the init. selection of request REQU_3ZEHH34LV68LVHAWT75TJVIF8. A second initialization is therefore not possible with these selection conditions.
    Procedure
If you want to carry out a new initialization, you have to choose selections that do not overlap.
If you want to repeat the init. for the same selection, you have to delete the delta queue in the source system, and restart the delta process.
Choose the menu entry 'Init. Selections in the Source System' from the Scheduler.</i>
    Any thoughts...
    Thank you,
    Tia

I want to buy the new iPod Nano to play audiobooks. Does it remember the postion where switch-off took place and resume from there? Can one rewind and replay freely?

    1. Many thanks! I look forward to your revert on being able to freely rewind and replay with the 7th Gen iPod Nano.
    2. Re resuming from the position where one left off - I meant after switch-off and not merely pause. Often, with audiobooks, I have to stop for the day, and resume maybe after 1-2 days. I'll be grateful if you can check this too
    3. The above features make the iPod Classic a joy to use, but I have reservations about using it on walks because of its HDD.
    4. Greatly appreciate the trouble you are taking. Best regards.

  • Issue in the Delta load using RDA

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue while trying to load delta using RDA from R/3 source system.
    Following are the steps followed:
    1. Created a realtime Generic Datasource with timestamp as delta specific field and replicated it to BI.
    2. First I have created the Infopackage(Initialization with data transfer) and loaded upto PSA.
    3. Created a standard DTP to load till DSO and activated the data.
    4. Then created a realtime delta infopackage and assigned it to a Daemon.
    5. Converted the standard DTP to realtime DTP and assigned the same to the Daemon.
    6. Started the Daemon, giving an interval of 5 minutes.
In the first time, Initialization with data transfer is taking the records correctly. But when I run Daemon for taking delta records, its taking all the records again, i.e. both the previously uploaded historical data and the delta records).
Also after the first delta run, the request status in the Daemon monitor, for both Infopackage and DTP changes to red and Daemon stops automatically.
Can anyone please help me to solve these issues.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Salini.

If I understand you correctly you Initially did a full load. Yes? Well next you need to do intialise & after that delta.
The reason is that if you will select delta initialisation & initialisation without data transfer- it means delta queue is initialised now & next time when you will do delta load it will pick only changed records
If you will select delta initialisation & initialisation with data transfer- It means delta queue is initialised & it will pick records in the same load.
As you know your targets will receive the changed records from the delta queue.
    Salini S wrote:

I take it the infopackage has run successfully? Did you check? If it has and the error is on the DTP then i suggest the following.
At runtime, erroneous data records are written to an error stack if the error handling for the data transfer process is activated. You use the error stack to update the data to the target destination  once the error is resolved.
To resolve the error, in the monitor for the data transfer process, you can navigate to the PSA maintenance by choosing Error Stack in the toolbar, and display and edit erroneous records in the
    error stack.
I suggest you create an error DTP for an active data transfer process  on the Update tab page (If key fields of the error stack for DataStore objects are overwrite On the Extraction tab page under  Semantic Groups, define the key fields for the error stack.)  The error DTP uses the full update mode to extract data from the error stack (in this case, the source of the DTP) and transfer
it to the target that you have already defined in the data transfer process. Once the data records have been successfully updated, they are deleted from the error stack. If there are any erroneous data records, they are written to the error stack again in a new error DTP request.
As I'm sure you know when a DTP request is deleted, the corresponding data records are also deleted from the error stack.
I hope the above helps you.

    thank you, Ron

    Hi,
Assuming as you need to the reinit for same selections.
in such case you need to delete old init.
    how to delete init:
Go to your info pack screen, menu Scheduler--> initialization options for source system--> here you can see the existing init, select init(green) and delete it.
Later you can trigger your init info pack with selections.

    urgent question
    Hi all
how to provide me a report for getting the result of the Disk Drive Space usage (drive letter) that shows how quickly the space is being used up by the database(dbf files).
Or how to count the number of autoextents that had took place between a certain period of time.
either by cmd promt or OEM would be fine
    Oracle database 10g(single instance)
    OS:Windows 2003 server
    thanks

    hi justin and Pavan
First Thanks for your immediate responce,
Secoundly client has asked for the growth report at the OS level and not at the database level. but the growth is with respect to the autoextent feature that oracle has over the datafiles.
I was thinking that i could get a view or some history log to get this data retrieved from the past may be of a months data.I normally manually check the data base growth with the following script
    SELECT total_space,free_space,
    (NVL(total_space,2)-NVL(free_space,2) ) used_space
    FROM (select round(SUM(Bytes/1024/1024/1024),2) Total_space
    from DBA_data_files
    (select round(SUM(Bytes/1024/1024/1024),2) free_space
    from DBA_free_space
but this is Oracle DB level.
Any ideas for the report.like a query or somewhere in OEM

  • Lync 2013 - How to find out if the Full or the Delta address book file is being downloaded

    Hello
We have had various issues since upgrade to Lync 2013, specifically, Lync 2013 address book generation and download (bandwidth usage impact).
I was wondering if there is a way to find out which version of AB is downloaded; FULL AB or the Delta file ?
    Thanks for your assistance,
    Luca

Full address book contains a large set of user and contact object attributes.
    Delta files contain incremental updates.
If a client is accessing the URL for the first time and successfully connects, the client attempts to download the current full data file. On subsequent days, the client attempts to download
a delta file based on the last full synchronization date.
Open Lync Configuration Information, check the ABS Server URLs, you can determine where the address book information comes from.

  • How to get the exact decimal places displayed while exporting to Excel?

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to display the exact decimal place values in my report. In my pivot table, i duplicated a column named order number and converted to percentage by applying these conditions Show Data As-> Percent Of-> Column. I got a resultant column with one decimal point. As i needed two decimal points i took the xml of the report and changed the minDigits='2' and maxDigits='2' values like this. After that i got the accurate answer. But when i export it as excel sheet it is not showing the % column properly. The values after 0 is not getting displayed. Any solution for this?
    Thanks in Advance
    Thenmozhi

    Hi Thenmozi,
You can try adding the below statement in the Custom CSS section of the your column properties.
    mso-number-format:"\@"
Edit your report--> Criteria-->which column you want to display in excel click column properties --> select CCS--> Paste here above code.
    Second way:
Edit your report --> criteria-->click fx option for your column and apply the below code.
    2. '<span style="display:none">&nbsp</span>' || CAST(your column name AS CHAR)
    Award points it is useful.
    Thank,

    hello radha
    oka pani cheyyi....
I mean you may try this following procedure for this error.
    Search the init IP
    1.     Double click in the IP
    2.     Scheduler menu
    3.     Click in Initialization options for source system
Select and delete the only entry ( INIT) .
Now go to Source systems -
    > right click your source system----> replicate.
Activate your transfer rules, using program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
now try to perform Init again.
    It will work.
