Hi i compile my code with g77 -g but I get the above error when I try to use the sun studio debugger. Anyone can tell me how to fix?

If you have time, I think the fortran group would be interested in hearing
what your problems were. We have a lot of work still to do on our
linux compilers, so perhaps the problems are already being worked on,
but we won't know unless you report them. (I don't know if you have
already posted your issues in these forums or not, I am just reminding
that it will help us to make forward progress)

    Post the error screenshot..
    eg:
    grant DEBUG CONNECT SESSION to username;
    grant DEBUG ANY PROCEDURE to username;
    Check the below explanation:
    DEBUGGING:
    DEBUG CONNECT SESSION
Connect the current session to a debugger that uses the Java Debug Wire Protocol (JDWP).
    DEBUG ANY PROCEDURE
Debug all PL/SQL and Java code in any database object; displayinformation on all SQL statements executed by the application
Note: Granting this privilege is equivalent to granting the DEBUG object privilege on all applicable objects in the database.

  • Example code for java compiler with a simple GUI

There is no question here (though discussion of the code is welcome).
    /* Update 1 */
Now available as a stand alone or webstart app.! The STBC (see the web page*) has its own web page and has been improved to allow the user to browse to a tools.jar if one is not found on the runtime classpath, or in the JRE running the code.
    * See [http://pscode.org/stbc/].
    /* End: Update 1 */
This simple example of using the JavaCompiler made available in Java 1.6 might be of use to check that your SSCCE is actually what it claims to be!
If an SSCCE claims to display a runtime problem, it should compile cleanly when pasted into the text area above the Compile button. For a compilation problem, the code should show the same output errors seen in your own editor (at least until the last line of the output in the text area).

Good idea, and since the line count is only a handful of lines of code to implement, I took that option. See the [line count|http://pscode.org/stbc/help.html#linecount] section of the (new) [STBC Help|http://pscode.org/stbc/help.html] page for more details. (Insert plaintiff whining about the arbitrary limits set - here).
I considered adding line length checking, but the [Text Width Checker|http://pscode.org/twc/] ('sold separately') already has that covered, and I would prefer to keep this tool more specific to compilation, which leads me to..
kevjava wrote: 1. A button to run the code, to see that it demonstrates the problem that you wish for the forum to solve...
Interesting idea, but I think that is better suited to a more full blown (but still relatively simple) GUId compiler. I am not fully decided that running a class is unsuited to STBC, but I am more likely to implement a clickable list of compilation errors, than a 'run' button.
On the other hand I am thinking the clickable error list is also better suited to an altogether more abled compiler, so don't hold your breath to see either in the STBC.
You might note I have not bothered to update the screenshots to show the line count label. That is because I am still considering error lists and running code, and open to further suggestion (not because I am just slack!). If the screenshots update to include the line count but nothing else, take that as a sign. ;-)
Thanks for your ideas. The line count alone is worth a few Dukes.

  • Line with 0 quantity for main item with batch split

    Hello experts,
I have one line item in delivery. Delivery split is there: There are 1 spilt items with 1 batch nos. The main item category and the batch split item category are TAN.
My system is showing 2 line items in billing, the batch line with quantity and the main line with zero qty. How to prevent this and have only the lines item in invoice with batch/qty. I don´t want to see the main item with o quantity.
In VTFL I have routine for copying requirements 004 and Billing Quantity B. I need to create another copying routine or I need to use another item category for batch lines?
    Thanks in advance
    Pablo

    Hi Pablo,
It is advisable to have a different item category for Batch split items.
If you want the batch split items to suppress and show only the Total in the Invoice. Yes it is possible.
    1) You can do this in the Copy controls in VTFL - Delivery to Billing, go to your Item category and go to Item details - Change the billing Qty to 'G'.
    2) Go to Shipping > Deliveries > Item categories Determination in Deliveries > Define item category.
Go to your item category which is used in Batch Split
Remove the Billing Revelance and make it blank and Save.
Now when you create the Invoice for Batch split - Only the total quantity will be displayed without the subitems - like in Delivery note or Delivery..
Please check and revert back for any more details
    Rgds
    Sunil.

  • Problem in compiling with -g option

I am using forte5.1 compiler. While compiling my whole source code with -g option, for some of the files, the compilation is successfully but for some files I am getting en error as ">> Assertion (../link/dbg_stcomm.cc, line 271) while processing srsCallbacks.C at line 0. Error code 1. make:Fatal error". If I try to compile the whole source code without -g option my whole compilation is successfull. I have downloaded all the required patches for this. Previously I was using compiler 5.0 and I was not getting any error with -g option. Can u just tell me why am I facing this problem specifically with forte5.1 and not with 5.0. How can I resolve this problem so as to compile the whole source code with -g option?

    Hi,
I think you will need patch:
    Patch-ID# 109490-01
Synopsis: C++ 5.1: Patch for Forte Development 6 C++ compiler
As it appears that you are hitting bug id # 4312608
    "Assertion: (../links/dbg_stcomm.cc, line 271)"
Can you confirm whether you are having this patch by doing:
    "CC -V" or "showrev -p"
    Thanks,
    Gopinath.

  • What is the use for CREATING VIEW WITH CHECK OPTION?

    Dear Legends,

What is the use for creating view?

What is the use for creating a view with check option?
A: As per oracle manual I read that its a referential integrity check through views.

... What is the use for creating view?
A: First Data Integrity, Selecting Particular Columns..Most views are created and used for convenience. A view is a saved query. If the same operations are often done, then it can be very convenient to code those operations once, in a view, and refer to the view rather than explicitly doing those operations.
Sometimes, views are created and used for security reasons. For example, you many want to allow some users to see only certain rows or certain columns of a table.
Views are necessary for INSTEAD OF triggers.
What is the use for creating a view with check option?
A: As per oracle manual I read that its a referential integrity check through views. The reason is integrity, not necessarily referential integrity. The CHECK option applies only when DML is done through the view. It prohibits certain changes. For example, if a user can't see certain rows through a view, the CHECK option keeps the user from creating such rows.
A: Enforcing constraints at DB level.I'm not sure what you mean. Please give an example.
A: using CHECK OPTION we can do INSERTS UPDATES for a view for those columns who have no constraints... is it right??No. Using CHECK OPTION, you can do some inserts and updates, but not others. The columns involved may or may not have constraints in either case.
A: If we do a INSERT OR UPDATE for columns who have constraints it will show error... is it right???If you try to violate a constraint, you'll get an error. That happens in views with or without the CHECK OPTION, and also in tables.

  • How to add network information for failover zones with logical hostname?

    Hello!
As stated in [http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3069/ds_template-21?a=view] I must not configure network addresses for a zone when I manage these with a logical hostname:
If you require the SUNW.LogicalHostName resource type to manage all the zone's addresses, configure a SUNW.LogicalHostName resource with a list of the zone`s addresses and do not configure them by using the zonecfg utility. But when I start the zone for the first time using "zlogin -C" it does not ask me any questions about the network. Of course, there is no adapter configured. But how do I add information like routes or nameservers to the system when using a logical hostname?
    TIA
    Stephan

    Hi Stephan,
I can only assume that when the zone was configured via zonecfg without any network interfaces that sysidcfg did not ask you for the default route or name service, as such you will need to setup those parts up manually.
Please take a look at the FAQs for zones, i.e. http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/faq/ in particular
    http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/faq/#u5
    http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/faq/#cfg_defroute
Finally, if you require a NIS client then please see http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/816-5166/ypinit-1m?a=view

  • Studio 10 cannot get debugging information for main

    Hi all,
Running Build 20040805 of Studio 10 on Solaris 9.
I cannot get the debuging info for the main routine.
I think the issue is related to the fact that the Fortran runs in a Perl wrapper, which renames the executable. It did also create a new directory for the run, but we have suppresed that.
    Any ideas?
    Andrew

Try using the "pathmap" command in dbx to point to the
directory where the .o files are. Normally, dbx will find
look in the a.out to find a path to the .o files. Then it will load
debugging information from the .o files.

  • Compiling with gcc options

    Hi,
I am trying to convert a standalone 'C' library code consisting of ~ 100 h files + 200 c files into 'swc' and run it.
The starting point is a c file called jaz.c.
If I compile using command --> gcc jaz.c -O3 -Wall -swc -o jaz.swc, the swc file which is generated is very small size of 141 kb, and the application does not run.
So I decided to change the strategy. I used the following command first to create '.o' files -->
    gcc -I. xfname.c                             //'xfname.c' gets converted to 'xfname.o'
    -g -c                                             //various compiler options starts
    -DW_NOTACC
    -DSSA_CPU_X86_64=1
    -DSSA_CPU_LITTLEENDIAN=1
    -DSSA_CPU_64BIT_LONG=1
    -DSSA_CPU_64BIT_PTR=1
    -DSSA_OS_UNIX=1
    -DSSA_OS_LINUX_ANY=1
    -DSSA_OS_UNIX_LAX=1
    -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500
    -D_BSD_SOURCE
    -D_SVID_SOURCE
    -DEJSAS=1
    -DFMTDLL_COMPILE=1
    -IC:/FormatDocs/Standalone/TKLAX/h       //Path to various 'h' files/
    -IC:/FormatDocs/Standalone/TKPOS/h       //  -- " " ---
    -IC:/FormatDocs/Standalone/TKPKT/h
    -IC:/FormatDocs/Standalone/LAX/h
    -IC:/FormatDocs/Standalone/A64/h
    -IC:/FormatDocs/Standalone/UNX/h
After running the command I get ~ 200 .o file.
    Then I used the command
    gcc -I. jaz.c
    xfload.o
    xfname.o
    --                                    //All 200 '.o' files included here
    -O3 -Wall -swc -o jaz.swc
By this strategy the compiler generates a huge swc file of ~ 515 kb.
But when I run this application the Flash AS error occours
TypeError: Error #1006: value is not a function.

    at <anonymous>()[1344.achacks.as:3902]
I wanted to ask 2 questions.
    - Is this way of 2 stage gcc compiling (1st gcc creates .o file, and next gcc creates swc) correct.
    - What is the meaning of this run time error  "value is not a function."
    Thanks,
    -Yogen

Alright that did work for what I intended it to do - i.e. have gcc and make available in /usr/bin and functionning correctly. Now Xcode in itself however ... crashes everytime upon opening. Not that I need it now, but I certainly will someday - and not in that long a time, in all probability. It says it could not load the iPhone emulator plugin - and it is just the last of many errors, it says. Check Xcode's crash details out here. Thanks a lot already though !

  • The project file is not bound to source control, but the solution contains source control binding information for it.

This may be more of a SQL Server Management Studio question, but I couldn't find a SSMS forum...
I've got a database solution that contains several projects.  They're just to keep track of changes to stored procedures, triggers, views, etc in a few databases I maintain.  There is a problem with two of the projects though.  No matter what I do, I can't seem to get them bound to source control right.  When I open the solution, I get:
The project file is not bound to source control, but the solution contains source control binding information for it.
With two options, use solution binding and remove solution binding.  If I keep the solution binding, everything works fine.  But it's really annoying to have to deal with every time I open the solution.  If I remove the solution binding, the projects are now unbound again.  If I try to fix them (using the change source control or Add Selected Projects to Source Control options under the File->source control menu), I just end up in the same situation.  I've even tried deleting the projects and re-creating them from scratch, then re-adding them to VSS.  If I open the solution files in a text editor I can see the SCC tags in every project, but these two.  Since I can't manually add the tags, and Management Studio itself only seems to want to bind them the wrong way, I'm getting really frustrated.
Can anyone point me toward a way to bind these so they work like the rest?

However, that does not appear to be the ONLY cause of the problem.  I am a single user and only using TFS2010 and SSMS2008R2.  My issue is that I wanted a solution file for each project so that they could managed independently, and a super-solution
file that contained all projects, so that I could perform system-wide searches and cross-checks.
    I solved the problem by:
    1. Choosing the option to use solution binding, then
    2. Adding another project to the solution.  This forced the re-write of the solution file.
    3. Adding another script to the project.  This forced the re-write of the project file.
    4. Checking in all changes.
    5. Deleting the new script and the extra project,
    6 Checking in all changes.
This appears to have solved the problem.

  • Compiling with the -g option????

    Hi there,
yeah, I would like to know if it is possible to tell if a class file has been compiled with the -g option. I would like to do this since I am writing a debugger that requires java files that have been compiled with this option - in order to access debugging information; and without it I cannot do anything.
Thanks for your time in advance.
    - Edd.

    Have you read this?
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/vmspec/2nd-edition/html/ClassFile.doc.html

  • Where is "WITH CHECK OPTION" stored on a view ?

We have a DB Compare program to ensure all the objects between 2 database servers are the identical.
One thing we can't find when comparing our objects is the the "with check option" on a view.
We've searched sysobjects (and others but can't find it anywhere).
Any ideas where its stored ?

I don't think there is any current compilation of issues that particularly affect upgrades.
I've put that on the to-do list
Here is what I've found for pulling the "with check option" setting out of the query tree.
Switch 200 causes ASE to print out the query tree before it is passed to the optimizer.
Using "set noexec on" aborts the select before it actually returns rows.
If WITH CHECK was used, the tree output will include a root2stat bitmap with a bit identified as CHECKOPT on.
You can use grep in isql to filter for that.
    create table t1 (c1 int)
    go
    create view view_no_check as select c1 from t1 where c1 > 9
    go
create view view_w_check  as select c1 from t1 where c1 > 9 with check option
    go
    set switch on 200
    go
    set noexec on
    go
    select * from   view_no_check
    go | grep CHECK
    select * from   view_w_check
    go | grep CHECK
    Example output:
    1> select * from   view_no_check
    2> go | grep CHECK
    1> select * from   view_w_check
    2> go | grep CHECK

here is grant that i am trying to grant to TD_ADM.
    grant select on foo.dept to td_adm with admin option;
i get the ora-00993 error missing grant keyword.
i know we can do for system grants with admin option, but can we do to object privileges?
    Thanks....

    With Admin option:
Only for system privileges, not object privileges.
You can use With Grant option.

  • Boxee-source compilation "checking for main in -ldl... no"

    Hello Guys and Girls,
I'm trying to get Boxee to run on my laptop so that I can setup up on a small homebuild HTPC running a naked Arch Linux Installation in the future.
I have tried the versions that are in the AUR and got them to install after linking some header files, downgrading glew etc. but they are very old and
are teaming with bugs. The repo found in the Wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Boxee-source is outdated as well. The current Version is 1.5
and it is downloading 0.9.8.something from the repo.
There are 32 and 64 bit *.deb's for Ubuntu available on boxee.tv/download, but Ubuntu is way to bloated and I don't know how to work with it
when it comes to more advanced configuration (booting straight into X11 and starting boxee trough .xinitrc which worked fine with xbmc).
Made me realize what a great learning tool Arch Linux is.
So I downloaded the Sorce Code and extracted it and opened the README.ubuntu to find some building instructions.

    We currently recommend Ubuntu 11.10.
NOTE TO NEW LINUX USERS: All lines that are prefixed with the '#'
character are commands that need to be typed into a terminal window /
console (similar to the command prompt for Windows). Note that the '#'
character itself should NOT be typed as part of the command.
    2. Installing the required Ubuntu packages
    # sudo apt-get install make g++ gcc gawk pmount nasm automake cmake bison libsdl1.2-dev libsdl-image1.2-dev libfribidi-dev liblzo2-dev libfreetype6-dev libsqlite3-dev libogg-dev libasound2-dev python-sqlite libglew1.5-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libmad0-dev libogg-dev libvorbis-dev libsmbclient-dev libmysqlclient-dev libpcre3-dev libdbus-1-dev libjasper-dev libfontconfig1-dev libbz2-dev libboost-dev libfaac-dev libenca-dev libpng12-dev libjpeg62-dev libcdio-dev libsamplerate0-dev libmms-dev libmpeg3-dev libfaad-dev libflac-dev doxygen php5 swig libssl-dev libgdbm-dev libvdpau-dev libxmu-dev libxtst-dev libxinerama-dev libhal-dev libhal-storage-dev gperf libtool
    3. How to compile
    # ./bootstrap
    # ./configure --enable-optimizations --disable-debug
    # make -j4
    # make -C tools/TexturePacker -f Makefile.host
    # rm skin/boxee/media/Textures.xbt
    # make -C skin/boxee/media
    4. Create installer
    # cd debian
    # sudo ./make_debian.sh
    ./bootstrap wored fine.
With ./configure I ran into problems a few times but managed to fix them on my own ( installed libmms, lz02, mysql-clients etc. when check failed)
but now I'm stuck at: "checking for main in -ldl... no" and I have no clue how to fix it. What am I missing?
Once I get this to compile and run I want to contribute my first package to the AUR. Would be a good opportunity to get familiar with ABS, PKGBUILDs and all
    that.

    Looks like a linking issue?

    Linux's dl library
There are at least two distinct problem symptoms with dynamic-linking that Linux users frequently report: that
the configure for Tcl and/or derivatives think that dynamic linking is not possible; and
a makefile which attempts dynamic linking fails for not resolving "... -ldl ..." adequately.
To the best of my knowledge, all instances of the former problem have been traced back to an inconsistency between configure and other sources, typically the result of incomplete application of a patch, mis-installation of a compiler and its ancillary libraries, or some sort of cross-OS contamination. As far as I know, correcting any compiler problems and doing a "make distclean" to sanitize the Tcl source directory has always been enough to cure the situation.
Some installations (Slackware 2.1? 3.1? others? Red Hat before 4.0?) are reputed to have a missing symbolic link between /lib/libdl.so.1 and /lib/libdl.so. Any application which employs dynamic linking, and which therefore links with "... -ldl ..." under Linux, apparently will fail until one completes the installation by commanding
               ln -s /lib/libdl.so.1 /lib/libdl.so
That's the whole story that I know. However, those unfamiliar with Unix deserve a warning: the previous paragraph used "link" in three distinct senses. If these matters are new to you, you might feel more comfortable substituting
               cp /lib/libdl.so.1 /lib/libdl.so
for the "ln ..." command above. When I'm able to make time, I'll return to explain these matters more fully.
Why isn't there a /lib/libdl.a? That's an involved topic, one that I aim to document later in spring '97.
ldconfig is sometimes an issue for Linux. I'll document it once I understand it better.
