No tool tip widget

My tooltip widget is missing in Muse. It shows up under the compositions folder, but when I preview it and drag it to the work area, it's clearly another slideshow widget. Is there a way to re-install that single widget? I've tried re-installing Muse CC but the problem doesn't go away!

So if you check Widgets > Composition > Tooltip , you don't see tooltip option?
And if you drag on to a page, that does not brings up the tooltip widget ?
If the widget itself is not included in panel then Muse is not installed properly , which requires a fresh installation of Muse.
If that's not the case, please upload screenshots which would help to get the exact idea.

  • Tool tip widget - adding new trigger/target to existing tips causes entire composition to jump off page

    I have a composition with about 10 - 20 tool tips and when I add a new tip (using the button with the +) it places the new tip but causes the entire composition of all the tips to jump thousands of pixels away from where it should be on the page. I've been working around it by setting up a page where I do nothing but edit my tool tip composition and copy/paste it onto the page where it will be in the site. I can't figure out why adding additional tool tips would cause the entire composition to jump wildly – usually it jumps downward by about 2300 pixels. I've tried working on it where I let it jump (and don't place it back where it should be on the page, working on it where ever it lands) and I've tried placing back to the original location it each time it jumps but both ways still result in a giant move for the composition of tool tips.
    Working on a 2013 MacPro, OS 10.10 in Muse CC 2014.2.1.10 (although this has been happening with every version of Muse on several different computers).

    Yes, it is the Tool Tip widget (the dialog box just says "Composition"). Setting it to "Stacked" doesn't seem to make any difference when adding a new Tool Tip. When I click the "+" next to the last one, it adds the new trigger in a different place - usually the distance is the same as when I repositioned the last trigger. It does that for a few times, then it will position a new trigger far away from the area where I've been working. Sometimes it positions it entirely off the page.
    Wish there was a way to know where it was gonna end up, better yet, wish there was a way to set where it ends up. Other widgets in the Composition group do this too, but they don't place the new triggers so erratically. In the calendar graphic, it will take all the Tool Tips & triggers, along with the grouped background art and move everything to a completely different location, hundreds of pixels away from the original position. I  loaded everything onto another computer and it did the same thing. (BTW - I'm using Mac OS 10.8.4, MacPro & MacBook Pro) Frustrating...

    Unfortunately this is not possible with Tooltip , but you can use full screen slideshow which will have the similar effect but the limitation being the content on the page which will be not same as the referenced site you have posted.

  • Spry Tool tip on Tabbed panels

    I am having a problem with the new spry tool tip widget. I
    have a Tabbed panels table with 4 tabs. For some reason the spry
    widget only works when I have 4 seperate div's with the tool tip
    content and 4 separate js variables placed after the divs. One must
    be on each tab. Is there any way to make it work so there is one
    div and one variable creation on the page rather than 1 for each
    panel?. heres how my code works:

    Sorry i just kinda threw that together as a mock up
    id="blindMe" becomes id="blindMe2" and so on for each subsequent
    use. I had already checked for that. The same thing goes for the
    associated script variable. It works as is, i just dont want to
    have to duplicate it.
    The problem is, if i remove all the duplicated divs and
    scripts, then place that script and div on the bottom of the page
    after the </div> for the tabbed panels div, the hover state
    no longer works. Same is true if i keep it within the </div>
    the only way it does work is if i duplicate it within each tabbed
    panels content divs. (With different id values of course)

    if you resist using DW tooltips you have to use one of the elder DW versions. So you can (from my German DW) > insert  > Spry > Spry-QuickInfo.
    From one of my elder websites I can give you the code (you have to adapt it). It will work, provided that you have hold your "SpryAssets" files/directory.:

  • Tool tip to not move

    Hi I'm a big fan. long time lurker first time poster
    Currently the position of the tool tip depends on where the cursor first hovers over the image.  Is there a way for the tool tip to appear in the same place no mater where the image is hovered?

    I am working in an application where I am using the treeview widget. My requirement is to add a dynamic tool tip to the tree nodes. I read in a forum that I have to look into IID_ITIP.     How can i get tool tips to show on slideshow thumbnails? I used the widget "blank" composition for a slideshow then i placed the tooltips widget composition over them and made them transparent, but that prevents a user from clicking on the thumbnails... Any ideas?

    I also want to note, i tried putting in tool tips as well as alt. text but only the first thumbnail is included in the HTML...I went through the code and it all my text is missing. I have to manually edit the html in edge reflow or dreamweaver. Muse should fix this - and i know "this is in the wrong section" and not in bugs and new ideas but it relates to my first post...

    Bob ~ If your post doesn't look correct in Preview mode, it probably won't look correct when posted. For most HTML to display properly in these forums it has to be "escaped", using this free tool for example:

  • Corrupt tool tips

    There's something wrong with my tool tips - those little tips or labels that appear next to the mouse pointer when it pauses over a tool / icon.
    Here's an example, from hovering the mouse over the icon to insert in the editor for editing a message here.
    Sometimes it's mangled with the correct tool tip (like in the first example above), and sometimes the tool tip appears by itself (because there is no correct tool tip, like in the second example above - hovering over text shouldn't generate a tool tip). It's the same few out-of-place tool tips that appear and they all seem finance or stock quote related. Here's more:
    Note: the mouse pointer doesn't get capturesd by screenshots but know that it's there right above the tool tip.
    The other strange thing is that this only happens in part of the screen area - baseically center, top.
    Any ideas? I've rebooted, but that's all I've tried so far.

    This always happens! Right after I post, I figure it out: the list from Dashboard is bleeding through somehow:
    So, having my mouse pointer in the same area of the screen where the widget would appear if I activated Dashboard causes the tool tips to appear as if actually was hovering over the widget! How strange. So, I deleted the widget and then put it back in the same spot. Seems OK now.

    We are on BObj 4.0 and using CRE for our reports. We have enabled Tool tip text on mouse over for certain labels which works great in browser. When we export to PDF, we dont see the Tool tip text. Is there a way we can configure this in CRE so that the exported PDF also shows the Tool tip text?
