(Nokia N9) Is the video recording really that bad?

Hello guys, there's some time that I'm using the Nokia N9 and I just can't believe that the video recording quality is that bad, I came from a Nokia C6-01 and honestly, the C6-01 is much much better. The problem with the N9 is that when you move the camera the video become a mess full of artifacts, the auto-focus and the incredible audio recording become irrelevant when the videos don't make any justice for what you expect from HD videos. It's just sad that this only happens when you are moving the camera, if you stand still, the quality is incredible and the audio quality makes it perfect. I bet that the problem is from the low bitrate from the N9 videos. I'm hopeless but I wonder if there's a mod or anything that can be done to make the videos look better?

The N9 does have an issue on video recording.
When I was still using the Nokia N9, there are some frame lags and video quality is not at its best. Details are good on me but not as good as my Lumia 710 or the Nokia E7.
And yet unfortunately, I can't help you on this one.
If I have helped you in any way, give me a kudos!

  • Is the customer service really that bad? (possible future customer)

I'm currently with Brighthouse and I'm looking to switch to a bundle of cable/internet/phone.  Not just here but all across the internet I've read about Verizon's horrible and unprofessional customer service.  Is it bad enough where I should reconsider switching over?  I have Verizon Wireless for my cell phone and haven't had too many issues with them.  If the CS is that bad, does the equipment and internet speed make up for it?
If it is that bad I would appreciate someone letting me know and saving me the money and hassle.
    Thanks for your help.

In my first iPhone 5, the speaker didn't work and people could not hear me on Speaker phone when I used it. When I used the video recording it did not record sound at all only a hissing/static sound, no voice. I wished for a software fix. I did a hard reset, nothing. I did a full restore to factory settings not putting my backup on and the problem persisted.

I did every step in the link that i have been provided with (thank you), but I’m
still experiencing the same issue. My experience with Apple has been
excellent and this has been the first time I have experienced something
like this with an Apple product. I hope we can find a quick solution.
In order to get the iPhone 5 as soon as it launched (being a major fan of
Apple products!), I purchased my iPhone 5 from the UK through a friend of
    mine who lives there.
My question is: can I have the faulty device replaced within Saudi by one
of the official resellers here (we have 3: STC, Mobily and Zain)? I want to
avoid the disruption, complication and expense of sending it back to the
    UK.
Could you advise whether this is possible or not, and if not how should I
go about having the device replaced?
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

    Nice try! Take a hike.

  • Does the video recorder on ipad 4 have a zoom button? If not, what app do you recommend for zooming in video?

Do I need an app to zoom with the video recorder?

    Fraser41,
school work, watching YouTube videos, and listening to music can be done on any MacBook Pro, new or used. Photo editing is the most demanding task on your list (unless you take up video editing, in which case it would be the most demanding); you can edit photos (and even videos) on MacBook Pros without discrete GPUs, but many operations will be done more quickly on MacBook Pros with a discrete GPU than on those with only an integrated GPU. If photography is your main interest, that could point to a Retina screen as a feature which might be high on your list of preferences; but since all Retina models have soldered-in RAM, however much RAM is present a Retina model is the amount which you’ll need to live with for as long as you own it. The Late 2013 models also have SSDs for which no third-party alternative is available, so at the moment their SSDs can be considered non-upgradeable also. Whether the cheaper MacBook Pro will cope with your needs could depend upon how much screen resolution you’d be satisfied with, and where you find yourself on the GPU time-saved vs. money-spent continuum.
Note that the last 17-inch models made were Late 2011 models; if you’re not interested in used MacBook Pros, then their heaviness would be a moot point.

  • Ipad 4 retina - why is the video recorder zoomed?

  • I have quicktime pro and it does NOT have the screen record mode that Quicktime is suppose to have.  Can I uninstall it and go back to an older version that would have screen recording?  If so, how?  Step by step needed.  Thank you for your time.

    Did you remove Quicktime X?
On a normal install Quicktime 7 is installed in the Utilities folder and Quicktime Pro in the main Applications folder.
You will need to reinstall OS X to get Quicktime X back if you have deleted it.
I notice yor profile says 10.5.8. Quicktime X is only available on 10.6 and above.

  • Is the Iphone 4S battery really that bad ?

Hi I'm looking for a new phone and Iphones have always appealed to me. I've heard about how bad the Iphone 4S battery is and even heard some people have to charge it mid day - is this true ?
Is the battery really that bad ?
I'm also trying to decide on whether to buy the Iphone 4S now (full price, £500) or wait until the Iphone 5 (if it) comes out ?
If I don't but an Iphone now I'll probably buy the New Ipad as I feel really restricted on my 1G Ipod Touch and using a laptop feels really clunky
    Thanks in Advance

You're going to get as many different answers as people who post. Keep in mind that the vast majority of people who post on a technical support forum are people who have problems. It's not exactly an unbiased sample. My battery is fine.

  • Why is the video camera really zoomed in???

    Hi.
Has anyone else noticed that when you use the Iphone4 camera in video mode, it is zoomed in compared to the still camera? It makes it really difficult to shoot anything close up and is just really annoying. Why should it be different, surely it use the same lens for both.
    Thanks

The camera is 5MP. The camera records at 720P which is 1280×720= 0.9216MP. The easiest way for them to record this without using a lot of processing power is to use only the pixels in the middle of the camera which means it will be zoomed in.

  • Hi,,does the new 2011 imac 27 inch U.S version  support any pal signal inputs as video or hdmi through the video recorder device or kanex xd ?

    Hello,,
    I have 1 question please,,,
does the new 2011 imac 27 inch from USA support or lay any PAL signal ??

the same as if he want to record any hdmi or analog  device from his video recorder  device,,but the input is pal,,so will it plays normal in the U.S machine or will he find any trouble ???
so can you pls give me an advice for him
should he buy the imac from the U.S store or the europe store ??

  • The video tutorial window that shows when photoshop is launched is TOO SMALL. Can it be maximized??

The "Welcome" window that opens when PS CC 2014 is launched show the option to playa specific  vidieo tutorials. However, that window in not adjustable and is frequently too small to see exactly what the person is actually doing. Can the video be enlarged?
There are other secondary videos that can be watched in that same window. These other videos are really quite tiny, actually. I can't see at all what the person is doing. I think it would be nice to be able to enlarge the videos presented within the Welcome window that opens with PS CC 2014. Is anyone else having this problem??
    Thanks,
    Chick

I am aware of the above links; they do  not appear to contain the same, most recent videos containing the most recent updates that open in Photoshop  when Photoshop is updated, however.
I think having these videos discussing the most recent updates immediately available in Photoshop is more timely and convenient. but again, I wonder why the video window is so small. Why was that considered good form and even helpful?
    Thank you.

  • Is the W540 really that bad?

I am looking to replace my aging W500, as the TrackPoint buttons are wearing out and the GPU performance is not quite up to par. After reviewing other mobile workstations, I keep coming back to the W540 and find that it still seems to be the best in terms of quality and build. I have read all of the nasty reviews, and I would probably agree with their viewpoints, but I have also read some positive reviews that claim that the redesign just takes some time to get used to. I can deal with the off-center keyboard (actually, the numblock is the feature that I missed the most when I purchased my W500), new keyboard keys, and repositioning of the insert block, but the new trackpad still worries me. So now I am asking owners of the W540 (and any current-gen ThinkPad, really):
    1. From a TrackPoint user’s point of view, how is the usability of the new TrackPoint? Is it possible to simply tap on the top corners of the trackpad (where the lines are) in order to left or right click, or does the entire pad necessarily have to be clicked down?
    2. How is the clicking mechanism on the new trackpad? I have used an awfully stiff HP trackpad before, and I never want to do so again. However, watching videos of xx40 ThinkPads makes it look like the pad uses a keyboard mechanism to click, which would be much easier to click. To me, this would make the trackpad suitable.
    3. How is the FHD screen? I have heard nothing but positives about the 3K IPS, but the resolution is too high for me (scaling still sucks in Windows), and it is not worth the increased cost and power consumption to me. How does the FHD compare to the 1680×1050 one on the W500, or the 1600×900 one on the T510 (I have used one for a brief period and was satisfied with its display).
I understand that the physical TrackPoint buttons will most likely return in the next ThinkPad refresh, but I would rather not wait until February-March to get a new computer. I am also open-ended to new design concepts as long as they work and are usable. As I said, the physical TrackPoint buttons on my W500 are wearing out (the left click in particular does not register unless I press very hard, and I expect even this to fail rather soon), and I cannot stand my current trackpad (the pointing capabilities on the new one look promising, however).

Thanks for the feedback guys. It looks like I will be going for the W540 after all. After browsing reviews of the new ThinkPads, I think I have come down to this:
    1. Earlier review models and early production batches had hardware issues with the new touchpad, as many reviewers had straight up defective click detection, while others had a working touchpad. This led them to hate the touchpad because it seemed unusable from the beginning.
    2. Some early adopters had a functional touchpad, and they either found it inconvenient or better than the previous one. Either way, it wasn't a big deal for them unless they had some major ergonomics issue.
    3. Once the new ThinkPads had been out for a while, the complaints of touchpads that failed to register clicks kind of died out, and some reviewers who looked at multiple models found that to be the case with their second and third ratings on the trackpad above their originals.
I'm not really a ThinkPad "purist," and I can probably learn to like the new trackpad.

  • In After Effects, it says NOT Realtime and the video is really slow

I'm editing a clip in after effects and the video preview is really slow. I also says in the preview section, "NOT realtime".

How, exactly, are you initiating the preview? Are you using RAM preview?
