Nokia x2-02 usb charging

It says in the specification that it charges via usb but it is not.
Is any other user facing this type of problem or not ?

Where does it say that? All reports I've seen say that it doesn't have USB charging.

  • CA-100 USB CHARGER

Nokia CA-100 usb charger will not work on my laptop (charges for a few second but then stops) but works fine on my desktop.
Any of you guys got any ideas?

I am using CA-100 with my 3270 Classic. When the phone has a high charge, the cable works fine. But when the charge is lower, it starts getting intermittent problems charging.
I have found that if I connect a USB hub first to the computer/laptop/portable battery, and then connect the phone to the hub, it charges perfectly every time.
I can only vouch for the hub I use, which is the Logitech Premium 4-Port USB Hub for Notebook (this is a powered hub, but can be used un-powered). I use it without external power.
I am guessing that the CA-100 cable doesn't properly alert the port that a device has been connected, so it won't pump more juice through, however the hub alerts the port that it requires all the juice it can throw at it, which is then distributed to any hub-connected devices.
If I am correct it will actually charge faster than without the hub, especially if there are no other devices. If I am wrong, well, it works for me.
Anyways, it works great for me. Let me know how you people go.

  • Can I use Micro-USB Charger for Nokia C5?

I am planning to buy Nokia C5.
According to http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/accessories/all-accessories/power/chargers/nokia-micro-usb-cha... it says that Nokia Micro-USB Charger AC-6 is compatible for Nokia C5, is that true?
Because I thought Nokia C5 uses the AC-8 charger.

Yes, C5-00 supports charging via its Micro-USB port, this one should work with it.

  • Nokia X6 USB Charging

    Hi
I have recently puchased an X6 16gb and am not able to get it to charge using the USB connection when plugged into PC or using an in car charger (purchased from Play.com saying it was for the X6).
I have not been able to see anyone else with this as an unresolved problem & have tried e-mailing Nokia twice to no avail.
Any suggestions / answers gratefully received...

This is really disappointing.  Not least because Nokia's own site says the X6's Connectivity supports "USB charging"
    http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/all-phones/nokia-x6-16-gb/specifications
And it comes supplied with a CA-101D USB cable which also supports charging.
    http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/accessories/all-accessories/memory-cards-and-cables/cables/noki...
USB charging was one of the main reasons I chose the X6.

  • E7 USB Charging does not work when keyboard is loc...

I have noticed that if the usb cable is connected when the E7 keyboard is locked, the phone does not charge.
Is this a bug or an "undocumented feature"?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Just tested it on mine it charges without problems, btw I checked it by connecting to a PC in Ovi suite mode. I presume you face same problem using wall charger and PC USB charging. Restore it to factory settings and check(*#7780#), worth giving a shot. If it doesn't help take it to a Nokia care center.

  • Even genuine iphone 5 usb charging cable does not work for an year?

I have bought an iphone 5 last year. With it, came the  original apple genuine iphone 5 lightning USB cable. It did not last for half year. I had to buy another original apple iphone 5 similar cable and it was gone within 3 months. I dont understand is it cable manufacturing problem? is apply selling fake cables? It is really annoying and I am really angry that such a reputed company cant give/ provide proper long lasting cables.
My experience with these two genuine cables was that after some months of  usage, i used to observe even if its plugged it would not charge, or if you push it hard its charging. Firstly, I never keep my phone charging all time. Then how the hack can the charging cable die? or problem arise. I bought the phone and the charging cables when I was germany. I had to buy a 20 euro local companys USB charging cable after above two stopped working with no signs of damage. I have also tried cleaning the charging jack or socket where cable is inserted. It did not help. This local charging cable started to torn out automatically and it got fully damaged, Now I am in India, I bought another cable of 10 euros and it is just two days, it would not charge again.
I am really furious now whether you use original or local USB cables they dont last for even a week? what the ****?
Do I need to really pay for those portable charger with a big price tag, that my problem will be solved? very very upset. I never have any complaint with the phone, but the charging catastrophies, really ****** me off. I think of going back to other mobile brands like samsung or nokia where there is never a charging issue or battery drainage issue once you charge its goes for days or it  is also expensive buy a nokia or samsung charger if lose it or break it. but for iphones its really bugging situation and not just me many people around the world are having sick problem with iphone brand with charging ISSUES.
APPLE PLEASE SORT THE PROBLEM OR SELL the PORTABLE IPHONE CHARGERS (WIRELESS) CHEAPER so that we dont have to use these silly little lightning cables. or I fear my APPLE I PHONE 5 is not genuine or its FAKE.
    PLEASE HELP>

Look closely at the way you handle the cables. I have never had any cable, Apple or third-party, fail on me.

  • [N85] USB charging problem

    Hello all,
I tried to charge my N85 with an [non-Nokia] USB battery charger (Lenovo 90W Slim AC/DC Combo Adapter) via the Nokia Connectivity Cable (CA-101) to keep down the amount of chargers I have to carry.
But except of asking, which data connection profile I want to use, there is no charging at all.
Am I doing something wrong or is the N85 only chargeable by the original Nokia wall charger?
    Thank you

@sapporaby: Are you sure you have read my post completely? "Apple" is a brand o usb charger that does not work with my Nokia N85. It's a brand like "Kensington", with a usb charger that do work. Both usb charger worked with my old Nokia N95. I just want to know whether someone else has this problem usb charging problems too or if only my problem, and to make know @sicut that he is not the only one with usb charging problems with his Nokia N85 and his Lenovo charger.
@sapporaby, is it "apple" a word taboo for you? Why "kensington" is not taboo? Why "lenovo" is not taboo either?
    1. I have had every Mac made since 2003.
    2. I am typing this on a Mac now.
    3. I have had and still have every iPhone made.
    4. Same with every brand iPod.
    5. I am running Apple software right now and the Nokia for Mac software.
Is that taboo enough for you? DON'T ASSUME because now your taboo question is moot.
As for your the Apple charger does not work issue, my question still stands. While your Apple charger may have worked with your N95 there is no reason why it should work with your N85. Are they the same phone?. Is the N85 made by Apple? No again. Does the Apple charger supply the same charging voltage as the Nokia charger that came with the phone? These are issues that come into play. What is so hard to use the cable that came with the phone. It seems, and maybe I am wrong but you and the OP are making a mountain out of a moe-hill.
Just use the cable that came with the phone, in the USB port of your computer and be done with it. I am having a very hard time trying to understand what the problem is with using the cable.

  • Melted USB charging port on 920

I picked my phone up off the desk this morning and tried to remove the USB charging cable from the phone but it wouldn't budge. On close inspection the cable and phones plastic were both melted. Incidentally the other end of the charging cable had been removed from the charger the night before.
the phone works but the charger cable and phone are fused together. Has anyone else seen such a case? Off to Nokia care to get them to take a look.

  • My Nokia C3 won't charge. :-(

Hi everyone. My Nokia C3 won't charge. Does anyone know what could be the problem with it? I am using a 64GB SDHC card with 4GB of space used up, does that mean anything? Please help!
Why won't it work! It drives me crazy!

Nokia C3-00 or Nokia C3-01? Rather than using a Micro-USB charger, make sure to use a Nokia charger.

  • Is there a USB charger for N95?

do we have a usb charger for n95?
    how much?

Be aware though it's not 100% guaranteed to charge your phone and I found it to be firmware dependant oddly enough.
I had an N95 on V30 and I bought one of the CA 100 chargers only to find it did not charge my phone.
Chap I sit opposite at work also still has his N95 on V28 and I let him try it and it worked absolutely fine using the same USB port.
I then found that it could only trickle charge my phone if it was almost full.  Let it get too low and it just popped up saying 'not charging'.  Shame, and the main reason I got my N85 as that could do USB charge from my work laptop.

  • Nokia N900 - Broken part - charge input

Hi, hoping someone can help me please.
I'm not very good at explaining things technically.. Last night my Nokia N900 wouldn't charge. When I took the charger out of the port, something from inside the phone came out with the charger.
I bought my phone from the Nokia Store in Manchester, contract via Vodafone. The exact same thing happened to my boyfriends phone (same phone, same contract - we bought them from the same shop on the same day), he phoned Vodafone - someone came to his house and swapped the phone.
I phoned Vodafone and they said because I bought the phone from the Nokia Shop I would need to get it fixed via Nokia (despite my boyfriend getting his sorted via Vodafone?)
I called Nokia Customer Care, to be brutally honest I couldn't understand what they were telling me. It was a very bad line and there seemed to be a language barrier. So I then phoned the Nokia Store in Manchester. I explained what happened to my phone, they said it has been quite common and will be covered under warrant. They told me to contact a Nokia Repair Centre near me.
I phoned a local repair centre who near enough said it was my fault why this had happened and that it sounds as though it wouldn't be covered by warrantly. He would need to see what's happened to the phone to determine, however it's a good 45 minutes drive from my house, I'm hesitant in driving for an hour & half to be told it's not covered by warranty.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this fault and how they went about getting it repaired. It's just going round in circles now
    Thanks,
    Pia

    Hey Pia
Thats sad. The thing which came out with the charger was USB from the hardware.
And Yes, its been common problem with some batches of N900. Initially it was not covered by warranty but now it is. I guess your Nokia care is not aware of this. Here is the statement from nokia.
We are aware of reports that under certain conditions, the micro-USB port of a very limited amount of Nokia N900 devices can be detached. Product quality is of utmost importance to Nokia and we are investigating this issue further. Consumers who experience this issue should contact their local Nokia customer care. The same warranty applies to the Nokia N900 as with any other Nokia device. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • Micro USB charging current

Hi I have a Nokia E52, which has micro USB charger, I just got an HP TouchPad which also has micro USB charger, but TouchPad charger is rated at 2A output, my Nokia AC-10X is rated at 1200mA output.
Is it safe to plug my E52 into the TouchPad charger?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If I understand correctly, you're looking to carry just one AC charger instead of two?  The amperage (current) isn't what's important, but the voltage.  My E73 charger is rated at 5V and 1200 mA, and may be the same as yours.  If your HP charger also puts out 5V, then it can't do any harm.  Your E52 will draw just the 1200 mA it needs and no more.  (You can confirm this if you've ever seen a universal charger.  These offer a switchable voltage setting, but never a switchable amperage.  They would have sufficient amperage output for most small electronics, and again, the device draws only what it needs.)
But the above doesn't mean it will work with your E52.  Dell laptop chargers, for example, include a custom chip that has yet to be duplicated by makers of universal laptop chargers.  This prevents third party chargers from charging Dell laptop batteries...and is one of the reasons I recommend that people don't buy from Dell.   So screwy things can still happen.
But I see no harm in trying.  Good luck!

  • My ipod touch 3rd gen doesnt work on usb charger but on dock it says "Charging is not supported with this device" How do I fix it?

I'm taking it in to get it looked at but will they cover this? And is there a way to fix it before I take it in. I'm still under the 1 year warranty plan. My friend said that they might exchange it. It's a 64GB and I use it for a lot of things like my picture, music, contacts, and email. It's got scratches on the back but other wise its ok the screen isn't cracked or scratched.
I have a usb charger for it but when I plug it into the PC or my wall charger it won't charge. It just says  "Charging is not supported with this device". It even says that sometimes when it's not charging. But it works on a dock station like my clock or radio.
Also my home buttom won't work unless I press down real hard. This scares me because I'm afraid I wil persss it too hard and break it even more.
    Please help.

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
