Non Java webservice

If a webservice is written in non java.Can a jaxrpc client access those webservices.If yes,what changes should be done on the server side.How jaxrpc servlet will recogonize those services.

you will have to use wsdl as your idl. Which also
have your port info and your service location.
Of course your server needs to be able to read and
understand the messages sent by the client.

I see in the Weblogic docs many examples of Java webservice clients. Including
one that passes a user id and password through the getXXXPort(userid, password)
call for authenticating the user at runtime. My question is, can a non Java webservice
client authenticate itself in somewhat the same manor? A non Java client wouldn't
have the client jar file available containing the stubs and all.
If someone has a code snippet they could send me it would be most appreciated.

An partial example using .NET is attached; in this environment you need
to use their NetworkCredential class.

Calling a webservice(JAX-RPC) from non java client ?

Hi,
I read JAX-RPC is used for accessing webservices by calling the webservice methods from a java-based client.
Is it possible to call the Webservice methods(writeen using jax-rpc) from a non-java client,who sends his request in the form of SOAP based calls?
If JAX-RPC is not the correct one to call a RPC from a non-java client,In what way i can do this?
Can anyone please clarify my doubt..,

In the JAX-RPC docs it was said that i can invoke my Webservices through my Service endpoints or using WSDL location?
If iam using a Non-java Client,it will be easier(I think) to use the WSDL file to call the Web-Service(deployed using JAX-RPC).But,the Client should be aware of that WSDL file.
I have to develop a small Application using webServices(must use XML,SOAP technologies).The user will pass some Parameters as request and the Response should be an XML(SOAP message) message.User should be able to request via browser.(http://localhost:8080/)
Can you please suggest me which technology is correct to use,so that i can use the XML,SOAP in it.

Where to find example code referenced in Java WebServices Tutorial, v1.5_01

Java WebServices Tutorial, v1.5_01 refenced a lot of code examples, which are supposed to be in <JWSDP_HOME>/docs/tutorial/examples.
I have downloaded and installed "Java Web Services Developer Pack v1.5" and "Java WebServices Tutorial, v1.5_01" from http://java.sun.com/webservices/downloads/webservicespack.html
But none of these downloads includes the code examples.

I need to develop a program in java which will be invoked using some non java client. For example: for the time being my java application will be invoked by tandem. Also, a huge volume of transactions can be expected to come in and these need to be processed at high speed(response time of 5 seconds or so). Any suggestions ?

We need to look at possible architectures for implementing the payment module of the an application. We can think of the payment module as a Java process that does the following � 1. validate the card and some other stuff....
The payment module should be able to support non java clients...
Take the case when a customer swipes a card at a store.... Another process (call it the router) determines if the transaction info needs to be sent to my java program... If yes , the router invokes my payment module. The router can vary from store to store ... So my Payment module will be invoked by non java clients... As part of deciding on the architecture we need to decide on the protocol used for communication � http/tcp/iiop etc.
Also, we need to decide on the various options for implementing the payment module.... It can be webservices, EJB Session Beans etc... But the key point is ,.....performance.... Problem while Consuming Java Webservice from WCF client

I am trying to Consume Java Webservice from WCF client.The webservice main functionality is digital data management.The client can Query Digital data and upload digital data by calling webservice methods.Problem is when i am trying to call webmethod from WCF client its giving "Unrecognised message versions".I have no idea about how the message objects are processed at serverside.but at server side they have used JAXP for XML document parsing.
The response content type is Multipart/related and applicatio/XOP+XML.
Can u plz help me how to handle this situation.I have minimum knowledge in Java WS architecture.Basically i am .Net programmer.
Can U please guide me in a proper way to resolve the problem.

I am using a java program to call a webservice too. And I have generated the client proxy definition for Stand alone proxy using NWDS. When I call the method of the webservice I am getting the correct result but along with the result I am getting one error and one warning message in the output.
The java code to call the webservice is as follows.

The Java project does not have any warning. But the stand alone proxy project has following warnings associated with it.
This method has a constructor name     MIDadosPessoaisSync.java
The import javax.xml.rpc.holders is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
The import javax.xml.rpc.encoding is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
The constructor BaseRuntimeException(ResourceAccessor, String, Throwable) is deprecated     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java

Formating the response of Java webservice to table structure in webdynpro

I am stuck at a point where I have a Java Webservice resulting an ArrayList Response.
My webdynpro will have to populate the ArrayList response into a table.
Below is the piece of code am using to execute my webservice.

Dear Suyukti,
Since your web service returns an arraylist,
you need to retreive the response into an arraylist. Then you can you this arraylist to populate the node for the table as required.
Your code will be something like
ArrayList al = (ArrayList)reqDisp.getResponse();
Now that you have the response, then use the get function of the arraylist to set the context.
al.get(index);
This function returns java.lang.Object, so you need to to cast into the required type.
e.g. String str = (String) al.get(0);

Problem using VB Client with a JAVA Webservice

I'm using JDeveloper (9.0.3) to create a JAVA Webservice on OC4J container. I followed tutorial of Oracle and I got to execute my webservice, including I can invoke my methods by HTTP using HTML forms.
I need to invoke my methods using a VB Client with MIcrosoft SOAP ToolKit. My VB code is:

My webservice publish a method called autentica that receives two parameters (a login and a password) and authenticates to obtain access to my system.

No deserializer found to deserialize a ":login" using encoding style "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/". [java.lang.illegalArgumentException]
Anyone knows what is this error?

Using Java Webservices provided by xRPM 4.0 in PPM 5.0

We have developed some custom WD ABAP applications in PPM 4.5 which were using Java webservices provided by xRPM 4.0 to get the UI context.

We have upgraded to PPM 5.0 and the custom webDynpro application is not able to fetch the UI context and get the portfolio GUID. I have verified that the RFC destination and Logical port required to call Java webservices is maintained as mentioned in the above document.
Are these SAP standard Java webservices available for use in PPM 5.0 ? Please let me know if we need to change the custom code to fetch the UI context in PPM 5.0

Thanks Amit for the confirmation. I am following SAP Note 0001399319 which mentions about how to develop for custom WD ABAP applications in PPM 5.0.
The example WDA component mentioned in the note is /RPM/CUSTOM_COMPONENT. I am developed a custom WD ABAP application in lines with the SAP note and still not able to get the GUID in the context.
The code written in WDDOINIT of these applications is as below,
instantiate session state class
    wd_this->mr_session_state = cl_inm_session_state=>get_instance( ).
Obtain current context from session state.
    CALL METHOD wd_this->mr_session_state->get_current_context
      IMPORTING
        es_context = wd_this->ms_context.
I am getting null in ms_context.
Please let me know if you have tried to implement an custom WDA application in PPM 5.0. Not sure what am I missing in the above scenario.

Im not at all familiar with java so this is really weird for me to work out. I?ve been doing it all day (and half of yesterday).
Im trying to write a custom clodFusion tag in java that gets the width, height, size and MIME types of a given file. I?ve been trying to get it to work on the command line first. I can get the width and height but cant get the size and the MIME type.

I need any documentation concerning the implementation/ configuration of the ICI/BCB with the IC Webclinet installed on a ABAP Stack (non-java version). All info seems to be based on Java based Webclient.

I had a OSS ticket created and from that, what i could understand was that the ICI/BCB version is linked to the version of the CRM software and the associated ABAP Stack. For example CRM 2007 has the ICI version 3.05 but what you get when you put http://javahost:javaport/bcb is the Java stacks ICI system information. WHich will be like 3.00. And I was asked to ignore that java info.
What I heard is that the abap stack is the one implements the ICI/BCB Version and from CRM's version you know the ici version behind. But I did not get any mapping of "CRM version to ICI"from the OSS though.

I have one legacy web application running which can handle only http request . So I need to connect (using http request) and send my request and get the response, without opening that application in browser.
Any idea
1) How to connect to non - java appln from a java appln ?
2) How to use the Httprequest without displaying the page using browser?

You can try one of three routes:
Open a socket and write the HTTP request and parse the HTTP response yourself
Use java.net.URLConnection
Use Jakarta Common's HttpClient at jakarta.apache.org- Saish

This doesnt make much sense. Where did you get the wsdl from if you dont have a web service?
When you develop a web service, your wsdl can be create by:
1. when running wsgen
2. when you deploy your web service (on Sun App Server 9.0)
Once you have your wsdl, you can create a client that actually uses your new web service.
I dont think you can go 'backwards' by starting with a client and a wsdl and then create your service. However, there could be some wizard/tool out there that creates a "stub" web service that has no guts.
