Non Java Webservice client Authentication

I see in the Weblogic docs many examples of Java webservice clients. Including
one that passes a user id and password through the getXXXPort(userid, password)
call for authenticating the user at runtime. My question is, can a non Java webservice
client authenticate itself in somewhat the same manor? A non Java client wouldn't
have the client jar file available containing the stubs and all.
If someone has a code snippet they could send me it would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig Lindley

Hi Craig,
An partial example using .NET is attached; in this environment you need
to use their NetworkCredential class.
Hope this helps,

  • Java webservice client with windows domain authentication

    I'm writing (well attempting to) a Java web service client using netbeans that consumes a web service written in C#, that uses NTLM authentication.
    If I consume the webservice from a .NET client, authentication isn't a problem; I can just pass the crediantails in on an engine object.
    eg engine.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials.
    Upon consuming this webservice in java the Credentials method doesn't appear on the engine object like it doesn't with it's C# counterpart.
    I assume that Java goes about a different way of doing windows domain authentication?
    Cheers

    for what ever reason it just seemed to start working.

  • Non Java webservice

    If a webservice is written in non java.Can a jaxrpc client access those webservices.If yes,what changes should be done on the server side.How jaxrpc servlet will recogonize those services.

    you will have to use wsdl as your idl. Which also
    have your port info and your service location.
    Of course your server needs to be able to read and
    understand the messages sent by the client.

    So instead of getting SSLConfiguration issue we got this issue.

  • Java Webservice client slow compared to dot net client

    we have DotNet webservice which is being called by two clients , one a dotnet client and other a javaclient
    The problem is java client is taking longer time in processing the results when compared to dotnet client and affecting the performance greatly , i'm using axis in java
    Is there any know issue with axis regarding my situation here.
    also the same java client when run on linux platform still longer time to process.
    please provide me some pointer here

    I would test the general performance difference between the 2 platforms on the same machine.
    I have the feeling that Java is generally slower on windows than .NET
    Microsoft has their secrets after all.

  • Non Java/ABAP client to SLD

    Hi,
    I need to create a .NET client for SLD. The client has to read information regarding the various SAP systems installed in my landscape.
    Is there any way of doing so? Is there documentation or samples for such applications?
    Specifically, what should be the content of the HTTP post message that I need to send to SLD in order to get a list of all  SAP systems (R/3) in the landscape?
    By the way, I managed already to create .NET client for registerind 3rd party systems in SLD (using the instructions in the u201Cregistering 3rd party systems in SLDu201D documents, located System Landscape Directory (SLD)), but I couldnu2019t find a similar document on reading from SLD using a servlet.
    Thanks,
    Idan

    Hi,
    From PI7.0 onwards ECC client registered automatically  in SLD.
    Check more on PI installation guidelines.

  • Calling a webservice(JAX-RPC) from non java client ?

    Hi,
    I read JAX-RPC is used for accessing webservices by calling the webservice methods from a java-based client.
    Is it possible to call the Webservice methods(writeen using jax-rpc) from a non-java client,who sends his request in the form of SOAP based calls?
    If JAX-RPC is not the correct one to call a RPC from a non-java client,In what way i can do this?
    Can anyone please clarify my doubt..,
    Thanks in Advance
    Rao.,

    Hi Arun,
    Can i write a my client program using cgi scripts?
    In the JAX-RPC docs it was said that i can invoke my Webservices through my Service endpoints or using WSDL location?
    If iam using a Non-java Client,it will be easier(I think) to use the WSDL file to call the Web-Service(deployed using JAX-RPC).But,the Client should be aware of that WSDL file.
    I have to develop a small Application using webServices(must use XML,SOAP technologies).The user will pass some Parameters as request and the Response should be an XML(SOAP message) message.User should be able to request via browser.(http://localhost:8080/)
    Can you please suggest me which technology is correct to use,so that i can use the XML,SOAP in it.
    Please let me know...,
    thank you once again..,
    Regards
    Rao.,

  • To invoke a java Program from non-java Clients

    I need to develop a program in java which will be invoked using some non java client. For example: for the time being my java application will be invoked by tandem. Also, a huge volume of transactions can be expected to come in and these need to be processed at high speed(response time of 5 seconds or so). Any suggestions ?

    By Tandem..I mean a non-java client...
    We need to look at possible architectures for implementing the payment module of the an application. We can think of the payment module as a Java process that does the following 1. validate the card and some other stuff....
    The payment module should be able to support non java clients...
    Take the case when a customer swipes a card at a store.... Another process (call it the router) determines if the transaction info needs to be sent to my java program... If yes , the router invokes my payment module. The router can vary from store to store ... So my Payment module will be invoked by non java clients... As part of deciding on the architecture we need to decide on the protocol used for communication http/tcp/iiop etc.
    Also, we need to decide on the various options for implementing the payment module.... It can be webservices, EJB Session Beans etc... But the key point is ,.....performance.... A huge volume of transactions can be expected to come in and these need to be processed at high speed(response time of 5 seconds or so).

  • Problem while Consuming Java Webservice from WCF client

    Hi,
    I am trying to Consume Java Webservice from WCF client.The webservice main functionality is digital data management.The client can Query Digital data and upload digital data by calling webservice methods.Problem is when i am trying to call webmethod from WCF client its giving "Unrecognised message versions".I have no idea about how the message objects are processed at serverside.but at server side they have used JAXP for XML document parsing.
    The response content type is Multipart/related and applicatio/XOP+XML.
    Can u plz help me how to handle this situation.I have minimum knowledge in Java WS architecture.Basically i am .Net programmer.
    Can U please guide me in a proper way to resolve the problem.

    Hi Abinash,
    I have the same problem. Have you solve that problem?
    I am using a java program to call a webservice too. And I have generated the client proxy definition for Stand alone proxy using NWDS. When I call the method of the webservice I am getting the correct result but along with the result I am getting one error and one warning message in the output.
    The java code to call the webservice is as follows.
    MIDadosPessoaisSyncService service = new MIDadosPessoaisSyncServiceImpl();
    MIDadosPessoaisSync port = service.getLogicalPort("MIDadosPessoaisSyncPort");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.username","xpto");
    port._setProperty("javax.xml.rpc.security.auth.password","xpto");
    String out = port.MIDadosPessoaisSync("xpto", "xpto");
    System.out.println(out);
    The result I am getting is :
    Warning ! Protocol Implementation [com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.wsdl2java.features.builtin.MessageIdProtocol] could not be loaded (NoClassDefFoundError) !
    Error Message is :com/sap/guid/GUIDGeneratorFactory
    <b>The result of the WS is correct!!!</b>
    The Java project does not have any warning. But the stand alone proxy project has following warnings associated with it.
    This method has a constructor name     MIDadosPessoaisSync.java
    The import javax.xml.rpc.holders is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    The import javax.xml.rpc.encoding is never used     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    The constructor BaseRuntimeException(ResourceAccessor, String, Throwable) is deprecated     MIDadosPessoaisSyncBindingStub.java
    It is very similar with your problem, could you help me?
    Thanks

  • Problem using VB Client with a JAVA Webservice

    Hi people!
    I'm using JDeveloper (9.0.3) to create a JAVA Webservice on OC4J container. I followed tutorial of Oracle and I got to execute my webservice, including I can invoke my methods by HTTP using HTML forms.
    I need to invoke my methods using a VB Client with MIcrosoft SOAP ToolKit. My VB code is:
    Function autenticar(login As String, senha As String)
    Dim ObjWS As New MSSOAPLib30.SoapClient30
    Dim retorno As Variant
    Call ObjWS.MSSoapInit("http://10.71.200.40:8888/iSimp-Web-Root/br.gov.anp.isimp.controleVersao.ControleVersaoEJB?WSDL")
    retorno = ObjWS.autentica(login, senha)
    autenticar = retorno
    End Function
    My webservice publish a method called autentica that receives two parameters (a login and a password) and authenticates to obtain access to my system.
    When I try to execute this function, I got this message error:
    No deserializer found to deserialize a ":login" using encoding style "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/". [java.lang.illegalArgumentException]
    Anyone knows what is this error?

    If you could post what solved your problem that would be useful for others that run into the same issue. Thanks if possible!
    Mike.

  • JAAS and Java client authentication

    I'm trying to use JAAS authentication from a Java Swing client against a
    WLS 6.1 SP1 server. Using the samples I've successfully managed to
    authenticate a client, however a couple of issues have arisen:
    - How can I remove the principal association with the current thread when
    the user wishes to log out ? The LoginContext.logout implementation in
    the samples doesn't appear to be sufficient.
    - I'm assuming that the current server authentication called via
    weblogic.security.auth.Authenticate.authenticate does not store roles and
    group information as Principals within the returned Subject ? Is there
    anyway I can access this information so I can modify the UI for the
    current user ?
    - Should I be able to establish a secure connection by using
    t3s://host:secure_port when authenticating through JAAS ? When I tried
    this I received, 'java.rmi.ConnectException - unable to get direct or
    routed connection to '904601561764...:<ip address>'
    Thanks
    Darren

    Yes Sun provides a Windows LoginModule implementation called com.sun.security.auth.module.NTLoginModulewhich should do Windows logins (I have not tried it on XP)
    However, in order to understand how this all works you have to read the JAAS reference guide and tutorial.
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/security/jaas/JAASRefGuide.html
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/security/jaas/tutorials/index.html

  • JAXM and a non Java Web Service Client

    How can I acces a web service buit using JAXM with a client written using other technology?
    Where do I have to send the SOAP message from the client?
    I saw that JAXM optains the messeage from the HttpRequest! How do I put the SOAP message there?
    Thanks

    if you are not taking advantage of asynchronous messaging via a messaging provider, but want a standard web service that speaks to non java clients then JAX-RPC should be the API of your choice. It is simpler then JAXM and more standard compliant.
    If you want to do asynchronous messaging your client has to have some kind of messaging provider, too, to be able to continously listen to messages. Then the SOAP messages are then exchanged between the two message providers who both in turn notify onMessage the relevant application (message consumer).
    I hope this helps you solve your problem ;-)
