Not able to debug procedure using oracle 11g & toad 9.0.1.8

hi..
i m using oracle 11g & toad 9.0.1.8 ..i want to debug procedure , i set parameter, but not able to debug procedure , there is 'debug' option, but that option is disable..
can u plz help me regarding this..
can u suggest me another tool where i can debug my procedure..

"Help, About" should list the installed options, and "Debugger" should be in the list otherwise you'll need an expensive upgrade or a change of IDE.
In TOAD you have to open the source code editor, at which point the debugging options should be accessible. You can either set a breakpoint and hit the 'Execute' lightening symbol, or place the cursor at a suitable point in the code and press F12.
I'm not completely sure how you are supposed to pass runtime parameters but it may be to do with right-click, Action Console, Execute, which brings up a 'Set Parameters' dialog. However this won't run in debug mode, it just runs and remembers the arguments. I don't really get it. As you can probably tell I'm not a great fan of the product. Have you looked at PL/SQL Developer?

Whenever i tried to open SQLPLUS in Oracle 11g, it always put an error related with "SELinux" and when i run SQLPLUS through the command it gives error "CANNOT RESTORE SEGMENT PROT AFTER RELOC: PERMISSION DENIED".

error "CANNOT RESTORE SEGMENT PROT AFTER RELOC: PERMISSION DENIED".This is likely due the the SE Linux setting being set to "enforcing".
To Temporarily disable enforcement on a running system
/usr/sbin/setenforce 0
To permanently disable enforcement during a system startup
change "enforcing" to "disabled" in ''/etc/selinux/config'' and reboot.

Not able to create partitions using Oracle 10g express edition

Hello Everyone,
I downloaded Oracle 10g express edition as the documentation for the same says that it supports partitioning of the table.
But when I try to run a command like

I get the following error

Where did you read that the express edition supports partitioning? I would strongly suspect that there was an error in the documentation-- partitioning is an extra cost option on top of an enterprise edition database. Perhaps you are confusing the personal edition (which does support partitioning) with the express edition?

Can I use Oracle 11g Developer tools with 10G and XE

Hi, I want to use Oracle 11g ODAC 11.1.0.6.21 with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio with 10g and Xe . Will there be any issues. I want to do so because I am not able to see Oracle Database project in Visual Studio when I install Oracle 10 g developer tools wherein I see that in Oracle 11g developer tools. Please suggest.

No there are no issues. Just be sure to install ODT in a separate location than where XE is installed.

Using Oracle 11g How to change the Log mode from NoArchieve to Archieve Log

I currently using oracle 11g How can I change database from NoArchivelog node to Archivelog node using spfile.
And where exactly the spfile will be located?
My instance is EPM11 in my local oracle is present in D folder where can i found the pfile?
In this path i found 1 pfile in my Local Machine
"D:/Oracle/Product/11g/admin/epm11/pfile" .I have added the following commands in this pfile
# Archive Log Destinations -benr(10/15/04)
log_archive_dest_1='location=/u02/oradata/cuddle/archive'
log_archive_start=TRUE
Then i have ran the shutdown command.
Database instance is showtdown.
After that i am not able to perform startup.
So please suggest me how to change the mode using SPfile and tell me the path where spfile and pfile should be located?
And also do i need to set the "Oracle_Home" path in my environment variables"

Getting Error in Asmx Web Service Unit Testing & not able to debug unit-test Project.

I am getting below error message while running unit test for ASMX web service
Failed MyFunction The ASP.NET Web application at 'D:\MyProjectFolder' is already configured for testing by another test run. Only one test run at a time can run

I checked in web.config. Below line already added in web.config. i removed below line to run test again but getting same error message.

Not able to select data using DB link.

Hi ,
I have created the database link in oracle 8.1.7.0.0 to oracle 8.1.7.4.0
But I am not able to select data using DB link.
The error is = ORA 12154 : TNS: could not resolve service name.
I have created the DB link with the same command in oracle 9.2.0.4.0 to oracle 8.1.7.4.0. I can select data using this link.
Please suggest me the solution.

If the service name is different on the 8i machine than on the 9i machine, you'll need to modify the service name when creating the link from 8i. Can you see the DB link in ALL_DB_LINKS in the 8i database?

Not able to debug XSJS service

Hi,
I am receiving following error on launching debug configuration:
"Failed to check if system is secured"
I believe because of above error i am not able to debug the .xsjs service.

My problem is resolved but it had nothing to do with privilge or debug configuration.
I am not sure why your URL looklike IPjdbc:sap://localhost:30015/.
Your URL should be XSJS service in hana server.
Are you getting popup for sessionid while launching your XSJS debug configuration?
Can you please confirm above question and then i might suggest something?

I am not able to debug the ZDEG output type for Shipment (Medium is Distribution ALE).
Executing the VT02n providing the Shipment and selec the GOTO Menu the Output tab and Select one (EX ZDEG) Output type. I have kept the break point in the Program RANASTED and Form Routine ALE_PROCESSING.
Table record in TNAPR table.

Which ERP version that you are using? If the system is ECC 6.0, then you can activate the session break-point in the print program. You can also activate form debugging option on using transaction SE71, enter name of the form (ZDEG), from the menu, Utilities->Activate Debugger. Hope this help you.

Your error message are not displaying because u does not made Message-Resoucrce property file (Resource Bundle) when you make it .
give it entry in
struts-config.xml
<message-resources parameter="ApplicationResources" />
and
define key and corresponding error message to key in this ApplicationResources i.e

Not Able to send messages using NOKIA TEXT MESSAGE...

Hi,
I am not able to send messages using text message editor. I am having N70. I also have the latest PC suite and latest phone software. Whenever I try to send message, a message appears "Unable to send". It does not even give me the reason. I have connected my phone using data cable and I can transfer music, syncronize and do other stuffs.
Can someone suggest what needs to be done to send messages using PC??

Connect to Oracle 9i server using oracle 11g client

Hi,
my oracle 9i server is on unix machine.
I got new Window 7 64 bit machine for .NET code development(framework 4.0).It is having Oracle 11G installed.I am getting oracle connection error while running .NET application.
what changes (connection string/tnsnames.ora/others) will I have to do to connect Oracle 9i server using oracle 11g client ?
