If you have the option of which to buy, of course buy the cheaper one.
As to why the prices are different? Are all Swiss apps more expensive? Are there taxes in one country and not in the other? There is no inherent reason why prices in one store should be the equivalent in another - almost no product is so. Why would or even should they be?

It appears the 15" 2.2 ghz isn't worth spending $400 more for, but you get the 1GB Radeon 6750M that has four times the VRAM than the 15" 2.0Ghz model and about 167% more performance. High settings on all current games with over 50 fps.
If your not into 3D gaming or just light weight, then the 2.0 Ghz (last years performance) will suffice on low-medium settings at about 30 fps.
The 13" is rather poor as it has integrated graphics. 30 fps on only some games.
The high res screen is a excellent choice and the anti-glare is great for viewing just about anywhere.
No messy films to replace at $30-$40 a pop.
A lot of people bring the glossy screens back once they hear about the anti-glare.

In my opinion the extra $400 for another 2-3 years of use out of the computer is worth it.
Quad cores are more than enough for most uses for most people for many years, it's just a slow card is going to make the machine feel slow in rendering graphics in the future.

You can't change languages in any of the movies offered in the store. Some movies have subtitles but it is in the same language as the movie.
Depending on what country you are in, you may get movies in that countries native language.

what version of iPhoto do you have? If you have iPhoto '11 you can update to version 9.5 for free -- if you have an older version you must purchase the upgrade to iPhoto '11

Recently, I thought I had graduated from final cut express and final cut express HD when . I decided to install final cut pro. Perhaps a wishfull thinking!
I have a power book g4 v 10.4.8, processor 1.5 ghz sdram with internal memory of 80 storage disk and 1 gb ddr sdram. I also have an external LaCie with a 200 storage capacity.
In the process of installing final cut pro, I stupidly changed the name of the media file. Maybe this action caused all my clips, video and audio, files go offline. The options given to me by the Reconnect Files Table , to get my files back, are : Single Search Location and Search.
I tried and tried both with no success. I would be grateful to any ones who might be able to help me to recover my clips without going through the pain of recapturing them from the tape. There are several tapes to be recaptured.
Now, for those of you who may have the patience, please read more below to see what I have gone through.
When I try to get to the files, I get the first warning: “The file of this project is from an earlier version. Would like to update this project?” And then it continues: “Note, once saved, this file cannot be opened by previous version. To avoid overwriting the original project file , you can choose Save Project As from the File Menue when the project updating is complete”. (It was at this point where I changed the files names formatted by the previous versions).
When I say Yes, another box appears: Update Project. It reads as follows:
“This project contains one or more sequences which this version of Final Cut Pro can render with Motion Tap (i.e. scalable, rotation, etc). Please choose a scalable quality (“fastest” recommended is the quality level 4.5. New Quality checked inside the little Box are: Best. Normal Fastest or linear." I choose Normal. The unchecked little Box reads: "Remove existing files ( this action is not undoable, it says”.
(By the way, in my project no sequences, have been set up as yet; they are all clips inside the bins with red slash in all clips).
When I press OK, “Offline Clips” Box opens and says the following:
“Some of the media of your project references either changed, moved, or gone away. You can either Reconnect these files, or Continue with them being Offline”. Below this it continues:
“Forget files.” Below that there is an unchecked box which says: “Media Files 69 Offline”.
When I press Connect instead of Continue, the Reconnect Files Box opens with 69 Offline files. In this Reconnect Files Box there are two sections’
The first section has a little unchecked Skip Files Box and another little checked Box which reads: “Search Single Location”.
When I open it, two paths are given to recover my files:
My name>LaCie> Final Cut Document>Folder>Gray files which cannot be revealed, and which I cannot open. I go on and onl ike a checken without a head in a circle without being able to get to the files off Offline.
I have the same problem with the second path: My name>Macintosh HD>FCP 5>gray files.
What should I do more to get my clip files back in the FCP format without being stuck to Offline files for ever?

Apple only supports Windows on certain hardware.

Apple provides their framework for Windows to run on a Mac, a piece of software called a Hybrid MBR that bridges the gap between how Windows reads the drive partition table (MBR) and EFI/GUID partition table that Mac's use.
It doesn't mean Windows can't run on your Mac, a third party solution called rEFIt will also bridge the gap and allow booting of more that just Windows, Linux as well for a triple booting computer.
Your hardware has to meet the other requirements the second and third operating system needs as as being able to install drivers that will work for your hardware, especially the fans or they will run loud and fast by default.

This above is a advanced procedure which requires knowledge how computers and various operating systems, drive formats and so forth work.
I even admit I don't know everything myself, but I experiment on a separate piece of Mac hardware (out of warranty/AppleCare) designed for this purpose so in case something screws up I'm not taking down my only machine and can use the other to get online and find solutions.
There is a very high potential for losing your data if your using advanced/non-Apple methods to install Windows on your only Mac where Apple doesn't support it. Also one shouldn't be doing this on Mac hardware that is under AppleCare or warranty as it might be voided. Proceed at your own risk and education.

How is your WD drive formatted? If FAT32 you have probably hit its file size limitation. Unless you are also running Windows, your external drive should be formatted as HFS Extended (Journaled).

Why do i pay more and more money yet the service gets worse and worse -- all the way around.

What type of phone do you have? Is it a newer, 4G phone? Those phones are NOT available with one of the pre-paid plans.
Do you have a Family plan, or only an individual plan? Family plans are not an option on pre-paid plans. You would have to manage each line separately, keeping a pool of money available in each plan to be paid when the plan renews each month.
Several people have posted on these forums when they have forgotten to "fund" their pre-paid account and have lost their number and have to begin service again from scratch. There are also those on these forums who have forgotten the funds in their pre-paid account "expire" after a period of time and money in your account can be lost in this manner. Yes, there are upsides, but there ARE downsides to having a pre-paid account. You would have to balance the pros and cons to see which would be the best fit for you.
Of course, pre-paid is an option, one which everyone must make for themselves. Not everyone will be happy with a pre-paid, but if price is the deciding factor in your choice, it may be the correct choice in your case.

Why should I pay?

I noticed a drop in my broad band speed from the usual 1.7Meg. When I ran a speedtest, it said 1.2Meg. I contacted BT who told methat an engineer had been in the exchange and done some work that would affect my speed and that if I wanted an engineer to fix the problem that HE had caused, I would have to pay. Why should I have to pay BT to fix their own mistakes due to incompetent engineers. As I refused to pay them to fix the problems caused by their stupidity, they have refused to send an engineer. I will now be canceling my contract and not paying a cancelation fee as I am only canceling due to the fact that they are totally incompetent.

Here are the stats from my router. I noticed that my attenuation has increased and the modulation has changed from G.DMT. This is something that I cannot change so must be caused by the engineers work in the exchange. Since installing the router over 6 weeks ago, I have not had a single disconnect apart from when BT India told me to turn it off and then turn it on again (the only fix they seem to know). It is possible that it was a language problem, but the guy I spoke to refused to send an engineer to the exchange unless I agreed to pay a fee, he did not say that this would only be chargeable if the problem was in my property. As for being greatful for this pathetic speed, if BT Openreach had connected me to the nearest exchange, I would be able to get around 72Meg (thats what the houses 200m from me get), but they didn't connect me to the nearest or even the second nearest, but thats all in another thread.
