"NOT IN" REPLACE WITH "MINUS"

Question

I have 2 questions for this SQL Statement for tuning?
select from a where id*_+
not in (select a_id from b)_+
1- How do i change this query with A MINUS OPERATOR
2- Shall i use USE_NL() Hint or another hint for this query?
Do you have an idea?

*(1)* If you want to use minus, you need two queries with exactly the same number of columns and the same datatypes.
Eg:
select a,b,c from tab_a
minus
select d,e,f from tab_bIn above example a must have the same datatype as d
and b must have the same datatype as e
and c must have the same datatype as f.
You could do the following to retrieve the ids in a that are not in b:
select id from a
minus
select a_id from bIf you want to retrieve all columns of a you could change it like this:
select * from a where id in
(select id from a
minus
select a_id from b)*(2)* I don't think that USE_NL hint will have any effect for this query, because there are no joins. But I'm not sure with this question.
