Notification keeps popping up

I have an iPhone 3GS (if that matters).  And a notificaiton keeps popping up on the screen saying something like "this accessory is not optimized for iPhone, etc".      Also from time to time (esp when I open my camera for some reason???) it asks me for my itunes password.
Does anyone know how to keep this thing from popping up every 20 seconds?   And also should I be entering my iTunes password when it asks.   I usually hit cancel cause I dont want to type it in.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

  • Blank iCal notification keeps popping up

I usually have a few iCal notificaitons that pop up during the day (as reminders for things). And today, blank iCal notifications started popping up. When I go to close them, I get the spinning wheel over it, and it won't go away. Also, the reminders I have set to pop up won't work, now all I get are these blank pop ups. Any idea how to fix this?

    Greetings,
Your profile indicates you are running OS X 10.3.9.  I'm assuming you are running a newer version.  If you are running 10.3.9 please reply back as different steps will be required.
Assuming you are running 10.5 or later:
    Troubleshooting:
    1. Make an iCal backup:  Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal 1 at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
    2. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
Home > Library > Preferences > ByHost >com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
---NOTE: To get to "Home > Library" in Lion:
    3. Restart the computer.
    4. Launch iCal and test.
    Hope that helps.

  • Error -603 (could not install extension) notification keeps popping up when I sign into CC even though I've installed the extension trough Extension Manager

Hi like my question says above, purchased an extension and installed it manually because it would not install automatically (error -603) but now I keep getting the same message/notification every time that I log into CC when starting the computer or if I log in manually after having logged out
Any help would be highly appreciated
    Richard

    Hi,
Would you let us know which add-on show 603 error. Can you find this add-on from https://creative.adobe.com/addons/my_addons (even it is a free add-on)?
    And we need following informations:
    * Your device (windows or Mac)
    * How did you use Extension Manager to install that add-on? Where do you get the zxp file? Did you install that add-on from Adobe Exchange Panel?
    1.  Create a file called exmancoreliblog.yes and copy it to
    Mac: /Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log/
    Windows: C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log
    2. Restart Extension Manager and reproduce your issue
    3. Send us ExManCoreLibrary.log file in that log folder to [email protected]

  • ICal Notification keeps popping up

    I upgraded to Maverick.
A notifications that an event (long past) keeps showing up in the corner of my screen.
I click the button to "Close", but it just shows up again a few minutes later.
It will not go away.  How I can remove it?

Should I ignore the warnings and delete?
As a last resort with a proper backup I would consider that, but it should not matter as long you are positive that you are removing only the offending event.
Are you using iCloud? If so, have you gone to iCloud.com and tried to remove the event from that Calendar App location?
What happens when you click on the event in the Notification Center? In my case it takes me directly to the event in the Calendar Application.

  • Wifi notification keeps popping up when returning from sleep

Whenever my mac mini (2012) or MBP (2007) returns from sleep I get popups of restoring wfif access. Sometimes these keep returning every minute or so, with 5 notifcations at the same time.
Does someone else experience this as well? And what is the remedy.
I do not want to restart every time I wake m macs from sleep. BTW, this was never an issue before an update on 10.7 (previous instance of 10.7) was fine. Also, do not want to migrate to 10.8 yet. as my MBP cannot.
    Current OS X: 10.7.5
    Cheers!

Ok, I just tried that. I deleted com.apple.KeyboardViewerServer.plist. I then started my screensaver. When I came back in...the Keyboard Viewer was back and there was a new plist file that was created...so, something else must be controlling it.

  • I keep getting a notification that says "Google Talk authentication failed"...does anyone know how to get rid of this?  I tried looking for it in the apps but not really sure what google talk is or how to get rid of this message that keeps popping up.

How do i get rid of the message that keeps popping up that says "google talk authentication failed"????

    funwidowlady,
Good afternoon!  I'm glad I can be here to help with this error. In the device this application is identified only as 'Talk', so that be more familiar to you. First I recommend opening the 'Market' app on your phone, then Menu>My Apps to see if this application requires an update. It will display a list on top of all applications that need to be updated. If nothing exists, tap 'Home' and go into 'Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Talk, then tap 'Clear Cache' and 'Clear Data' to remove the history of that application and stop the notifications.  The app will remain on your phone for future use, if you desire to take advantage of it. Read more about Google Talk here
    Thank you!

  • Since updating to ios6 game center keeps popping up everytime i go to play a game. how can i turn this off. I have already set notifications to off

    Hi all,
Since I updated my iPhone4 to IOS6 I keep getting game center popping up evertime I open a game. I am not interested in signing in as I am only playing for fun.
I have turned off notifications in the setting menu, but it still keeps popping up.
Is there any way of stopping this?

I'm pretty sure this is an Apple thing and you can't do anything about it. To get rid of the notification just do as it asks then try to forget about it.

  • Notification center keeps popping up in the middle of a game.

The new Notification Center is great, but now every time I'm playing a game, every time I need to tap and drag on the top of the screen to play the game, the Notification Center keeps popping up, and it's basically ruining the game for me.  Specifically, the course of playing this one specific game requires dragging items across the screen.  It basically makes it so that every time I need to drag and move anything from the top part of the screen, it becomes extremely aggravating.  It would be great if you could disable that pull-down bar, even if it's just while playing games or other certain apps.  Anyone else having issues like this?

Press and hold the 'keyboard' key at the bottom right of the keyboard and after a second or so you should get a popup - slide your finger up to 'Dock' on that popup and remove your finger from the screen and the keyboard should move back to the bottom of the screen.
You can also turn off the ability to undock and split the keyboard into two halves via Settings > General > Keyboard > Split Keyboard 'off'

  • Notifications of "Install Patches" keeps popping up.

After I deployed a patch, I keep on getting the pop up saying "Install Patches". All it says is "To install" and I can select "OK" or wait for 120 sec. until it will proceed.
BUT, I don't have any undeployed patches on my computer and the patch I just deployed are installed. But it keeps popping up.
I also tried to remove all patches from my computer, through Patch Management, but it still shows...
So, what to do now? Could it be a problem with the way I configured the deployment?

    spond,
Now, I removed all patches assigned to the device. Cleared the cache, rebooted etc. But the pop up is still showing.

  • Adobe Master Collection CS5.5 Install Manager keeps popping up whenever an CS app is selected-HELP!

I have recently continued to have an "Error: 16" code when trying to load any of my Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection suite. Every time I try to use any of the applications within the Master collection and then the Adobe Application (installation software) keeps popping it up. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the entire suite at least 4 times now, and I also tried uninstalling the software and then reinstalling it after creating a new profile on my Mac. Any ideas or advice on how I can get back up and running would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can't get into the installation menu. The third CD does work correctly, i'm not sure about the second CD. Is it possible that the CD is broken? Like maybe there is one file missing or something I don't know.

This software update keeps popping up almost everyday in my iMac 27 although I keep updating. Looks like the either the update is not happening on my machine or some other problem. Anyone else know of this? Everytime I check for updates (I have the setting to manual check), an alert pops up in Apple store with the phrase "Lexmark Printer Software Update 2.11" available for download.
Is there a way I can turn off this notification for Printer updates until it is resolved? It is pretty annoying.
    Thanks

Not sure this will help yet, having just noticed it myself, but you can now get the Lexmark driver 3.0 for download here:  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1397
I'm going to give that a try to see if I stop getting the constant reminder for 2.11.
