I already add an Data Action icon to my Page Flow Diagram but what do I need to do next?

What log file see to check if response action is executed

I have a metric UDM that check the rows of a table. When the critical theshold alerts appear because the table have more than 1000 rows, a response action like this is executed:

Action is executing multiple times

Hi Experts,
I am using an action for a service transaction in which a method is called APPROVE_RFC_VIA_WF - the method triggers a workflow, but the action runs multiple (6) times, 6 workflow items are created and 6 emails are triggered likewise.
I restricted the action to only one executable/successful action and it works ! Only 1 email and 1 workflow item is created, but then the workflow item is not executed !
Please I need help on this, thnx.

Another action definition was restricted to execute 5 times which was somehow effecting the workflow action definition
Adjustments were made to both definitions so that both would give correct results.

Dynamic actions user execute the Hiring action, IT 0105 dynamically adjust

Hello Any body can guid me for the below requirement..
Whenever the user execute the Hiring action (action type: Z1-Hiring cPA) the system should adjust the infotype 0105 dynamically during executing the hiring process, in the same way the subtype (0010 : E-mail )for the userid in SAP HR should be adjusted. The HR Services should not have to do this manually.
The e-mail account can be composed from the fields first name, name prefix and birth name. The fields have to be separated by dots. When the name prefix contains more words they have to be separated by a dot.
When company code is 003 the value email atthe rate xx.comhas to be adjusted at the end.
When company code is 004 the value email atthe rate yy.com has to be adjusted at the end.

Action gets executed multiple times

Hi,
i have a strange problem in my jsf application.
I have an action in my bean, let's say
public String testThis(){
//my business is logic here
if(blahblah){
return null;
}else
return "oke";
Now, the problem is, when the action is fired, and it returns null, the next time the action get's fired, it gets executed 2 tot 4 times.
Somebody got an explenation or somewhat the same behaviour?

what happened with me was -
let my application has 2 files A.jsp and B.jsp.
In my A.jsp file i was accessing "B.property"
this happened by mistake. when i corrected it to A.property (i had property with same name in both files) it worked perfectly.

Table Button Action - never executes

Hey Everyone, I have a really strange problem.
I have a table, which is bound to an ObjectArrayDataProvider. Everything works fine. I then added a command button to one of the colums and bound its action property to the backing bean.
The problem is; when ever I click the button - the code is never executed.

Button action to execute *.dll pop ups 'you are attempting to open a file.

When compile, run and deploy it pops up a message 'You are attempting to open a file of type 'Application extension' (.dll) asking me either to open or cancel. I wanted the *.dll use its class file and execute write on *.txt file. If I run it from command line it is working.
Also I don't understand the message in log file:

Check the adapter that is attached to the child table , compile it again and try adding .

Solaris forum not working due to java.lang.NullPointerExceptions

The Solaris forums have stopped working, if one tries to access them a part of the page is loaded, but then it ends up with a
java.lang.NullPointerException.

Audio in Advance Action Doesn't Execute from "On Success" in Quiz Question

In each of my quiz slides, I have set the On Success action to Execute an Advanced Action. In the Advanced Action, I have two lines. The first line is to run audio that says something like "That's Correct - great work - click any key to continue" and the next action line is a jump to slide. Only the jump to action works. The audio doesn't run. Thoughts anyone?

Sorry, seem to repeat what I already told you about messing up Quiz slides. This problem is also due to that.
The actions On Success are executed after completing the two-step Submit process. The Submit button is essential. I explained some possible tweaks in this post:

You'll see how to skip one of the steps, how to attach audio to an object etc.
In an advanced action everything is always done very quickly, the action will not wait until the audio clip has played before jumping to another slide. Misunderstanding actions.

Doubt in Execute Rule Set Action

I have seen the following documentation in help doc regarding Execute Ruleset action
'The Execute Ruleset and Execute Flow Ruleset rule script actions result in evaluating and executing another ruleset u2013 either a rete ruleset or a flow ruleset. This action is similar to invoking a ruleset, except that the current value of objects, including variable definitions, are available to the ruleset being invoked (instead of their initial values). If the invoked ruleset changes the value of any of the objects, these are reflected in the initial Flow Ruleset'
I have a rule flow set invoking another rule set in its action script. I need to pass a variable defined in rule flow set to invoked rule set. I did this with following action
Execute Ruleset RuleSet1 On var1.
My doubt is how do i access this in invoked rule set? I didnt see this in invoked rule set.

What we mean by the stmt above is - In case the action "Execute Ruleset" or "Execute Flow Ruleset" is used, all those global definitions which are modified at the ruleset level will retain their changed value when the other ruleset is evaluated.
This needn't be specifically mentioned using the "ON" option.
This option is provided for a user to pass the current value of objects alone. "except that the current value of objects... are available to the ruleset being invoked"
Your other question related to passing the variable definition created at the flow ruleset level, to be passed to the other ruleset - such a mapping is not yet possible. You will have to define this as a common(global) definition.
