Nvarchar field in SQL not showing up in BVM

Hi All,
I have some fields which are dclared as nvarchar in SQL and i have used cast function to get them as strings into CR.
Now i want to create a Dynamic parameter in BVM. In the Business Element level,i am having the same issue as the data type is memo. I checked if i can use the code in BVM as well, but i can't do it. Is there any way that i can get past this hurdle.

Hi Raja,
I hope you have the SQL query that contains the conversion function.
1) Create a Data Connection pointing to the right database
2) Create a Data Foundation off of this Data Connection
3) In the Insert Tables dialog box, click 'Add Command' and paste the SQL query. You may choose to Not join this to the other existing tables
4) Create the Business Element > Business View
5) Create the LOV pointing to the converted field in the Command Object.

Maiden name field in contacts not showing on iPhone or iPad or iCloud

I've changed my contacts template, on my iMac, to include the "maiden name" field, years ago... And to this date that field STILL does not show on my other Apple devices; iPhone or iPad or iCloud. Am I missing something or does Apple continue to not include some of THEIR "Std" fields on the ios devices or on iCloud?

I just talked to Apple Support, after upgrading to ios7...and testing more with the maiden name field...
There reply was that the "Mainden Name" field is unique to OS X Contacts, and is no plans to bring it forward. I also just noticed that if a edit a contact that has this field on ios7 (the field doesn't show) and it syncs back via iCloud to my iMac...it wipes out the maiden name info!!!
I did notice that the new ios7/iCloud have several new/additional "relationship" fields, ie Spouse (which has been there) but now Mother, Father, etc....
Sooo... I guess I'll use the Father field to hold the maiden name info... works for me... :-)

Parameter Field issue : Parameter not showing in enter values.

i got three paramater setup...
All three parameters are used in record selection formula.
When i click on refresh, only two parameters are showing up in enter values screen...why thired parameter is missing?
two parameters are date and third one is string. String parameter is not showing in enter values. How to fix this?.

I haven't run into this problem so I'm not sure if it's a bug or not. When you added the parameter to the report, did you type the parameter into the formula yourself or did your double-click on it from the Field Explorer?
It should be fine adding it from the Field Explorer. Strange but not really sure why it's not working for you though.

"Users " Form Name from "User Definied Field Definition" does not showing

I start to implement the new SAP Connector on OIM 9.1.0 and one of steps is configure the lookup Lookup.SAP.HRMS.AttributeMapping.
I need to add more fields beyond those already exists, and in accord to Documentation, I need to create the UDF of these fields, but when I search of "Users" form name form "User Definied Field Definition" option, I receive the follow response:
"Query Failed: No Record For this Query"
Thinking about it, I think that necessary create one User Form, but...this form isn't a standard form?
What I do in scenarios like this?

Yes, it's a newer fresh installation of OIM 9.10. We use the old version (9.03) in production environment and would like to upgrade to 9.10. This issue occur in a fresh installation in Development Environment.
The one possible reason for this may be due an improper upgrade to 910X. I actually faced this issue while I was installing/upgrading my OIM. I did the process all over again and it was just perfect. I am not sure that this might be an issue with you or not. But there is simply no othe reason for the Users from not showing uo in the "User Definied Field Definition"._
If you have taken a fresh backup of the schema just after installation, then import that backup dump and see if you are able to view the Users form. If in case you are not able to view it then your installation / upgrade is corrupt._
No, we don´t have a fresh dump of environment. We just follow the documentation and all the steps was done without problem. The SAP connector import the fields from the reconciliation using flat IDOC file, just only the standard fields. We need to add newer fields and attributes and after, we face this problem.

Description field in ldap not showing up in addressbook notes

i am running an ldap server and items that are in the notes field are not showing up in address book. how can i get notes/description items in ldap to show up in apples address book.

i have an ldap server with addressbook info in it. i would like to have some of the data show up in the note section of addressbook. what field would i put this data in on ldap's side?

Field description changes not showing on one client only

Hello!
I have a network with several clients all running SAP. I have modified lots of field descriptions (by pressing CTRL double click on the field).
This is great - except I have one PC where the field descriptions show the original text, rather than my updated descriptions. This happens even when other SAP users login to this PC.
Can you explain why one PC is not showing the modified field descriptions?

Address Field grayed out, not showing up

How very odd. This morning, the *address field* in each of my 2,000 Apple Address Book contacts have disappeared. I verified that the Address Field (Preferences: Template: Address) was checked, and it's grayed out. Which means those fields should be showing up. But it doesn't, not in any of the contacts. I've repaired permissions and restarted the Mac, but still no addresses.
Any suggestions? Am I missing some obvious feature that allows one to see the actual street address in AB? Here's a pic:

I used imToo flv converter. The program works great.
After converter the files, I did the following.
1. Open iMovie
2. Create new event
3. Import Movies into that new event
4. iMovie then loads the video file and "generates thumbnails"
5. At this point everything looks good, but if you try to edit the video, there is no preview in the upper right window.
I did some more research on this and I found others with the same problem. I think it is just a bug in the program and there is no way to fix it.

Added field to dataset not showing on report

I have a report with multiple datasets for an existing report. I am adding a field to one of these datasets (Monthly Summary) titled BonusYTD. When I run the sp in the SSRS query designer it shows that the field BonusYTD is populated but when
I place the field in the table it shows nothing. I have checked the textbox to see if it had an hidden properties and even went to a different textbox that was displaying data and changed the field to BonusYTD and it still didn't show up. I checked
my connection to ensure I was previewing the report on the correct development server and refreshed the fields again in the dataset. I am not understanding why the field BonusYTD is showing up in the list of available fields for this dataset yet the
textbox that I put it in is not displaying any data. Please help.

Normally when we preview a report the data for the report is cached to a file on the local computer.
When we preview the report again using the same query, parameters, and credentials,
Report Designer retrieves the cached copy rather than running the query. The data file is normally
saved as <yourreportname>.rdl.data in the directory as the report definition file save.
Normally the cached file doesn’t work once we modify the query. At this time,
I can suggest that you please delete the cached .rdl.data file and then check the problem again.

After upgradation to ECC6.0 two fields in report not showing

While running Z report Vendor and Material Description is not appearing.This problem is faced after upgradation to ECC6.0.In 4.6C it was showing in detailed. Is there any reports for settlement document having material & vendor code with description.

CR2008SP3 - AD description field (string 65534) not showing on report

I am using CR2008 SP3 listing all the computers in AD.
select cn,description from 'LDAP://DC=xxxxx,DC=xxxxx,DC=xxxxx' where objectclass='Computer'
I can see all my computers but the description field does not display any data.
If you go into AD you can see the data for the description field for the specific computers.
How can I get this field to display on the report?

SQL not showing in Embedded OC4J Server window

Previously, when we'd run a page through JDeveloper, the sql statements that were used to execute the query would appear in the Embedded OC4J Server window in JDeveloper. Now they no longer appear (along with a lot of other logging data that used to appear). Is there a configuration setting somewhere to make this info appear again?

There is no such setting for OC4J log. Are you sure that you are looking at the right tab because there are generally 3 tabs on the bottom most log window which are Messages, Compiler and Embedded OC4J Server.

DB connect datasource not showing new fields on proposal tab please help

Hi Experts,
We have a Datasource to a SQL view, we recently added new fields to the view, but they are not showing on the proposal tab, we can preview data (no new fields there either), we verified the connection and everything seems to be just fine but the new fields are nowhere to be found, we even created a new datasource for that view and the new fields are just not showing.
Can someone please help me with this?

Not even sure if anyone is looking at this anymore - I have a similar issue and haven't solved it using SAP standard - instead I have been using the workaround as follows.
Add the field(s) and details to table RSDSSEGFD Once done here reactivate the datasource.

New Field not Showing up in Report, part II.

I had this issue with another report, and I was told that I hadn't brought my new field down all the way through to the final Select. With this report, I thought I had done just that, but the new field is still not showing up. I have pasted the code below with my additions highlighted. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Add field not showing in contacts edit screen

Trying to add nick names to the contact list in IPhone 6, but the "add field" prompt is not showing. Tips?

Well first of all PL10 has some addon-issues (I don't think they affect Screen Painter since that is only UI-API but I would not recommend it...)
Regarding the problem...
What you should try to do is go to "C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One" (Perhaps "C:\Program Files\SAP Manage\SAP Business One") and delete or rename files "AddOnsInstall.sbo" and "AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo".. These files controls installed addons on the client, and if you remove them the addon will try to reinstall the addon...
Also try to go to %temp%\SM_OBS_DLL and delete/rename this as well... Controls versions of the SDK and there might be some left-overs from older versions
If that not work try to go to the SARI table in the SBO-Common and delete the record regarding the Screen Painter
If all the fails the old trick to uninstall the SDK, DI-API and client and reinstall them again sometimes solves the problems... (I know... Lots of things can go wrong in SBo and I've seen most of them)
