NY Times print feature not working correctly

Windows 7, Firefox 3.6.3. When I go tothe www.nytimes.com site, and read an article, I like to read the article as one long piece. Thus, I used to click the print feature on the article and go to a new page that allowed the page to be read like a pdf file, and when I enlarged the type it would increase proportionally. Lately nothing happens when I click on the print feature. That is for most articles. Yet, for a very few the feature works. The NY Times customer service person thinks the issue is with Firefox settings. The feature does in fact work with IE 8.0.

just wanted to follow up on this post.  It turns out I had picked up virus and/or other malicious software along the way.  Stopped by to my friends at Malewarebytes and they fixed me up.  Touch pad works perfectly now.  Chow!

    If you will go to the section on Adjusting TouchPad or ClickPad pointing sensitivities it should help resolve the issue.

  • E-studio 160 network printer does not work correctly in my office network

    Hi Toshiba support team,
    I'v got a Toshiba e-studio 160 network printer/scanner/fax in my office and I want that everybody in the office (network) has access to the printer and scanner functions of the e-studio without using a "Server computer" which should be connected to the local parallel port of the printer. In other words, the printer is connected over TCP/IP and a suitable RJ45 cable to my main-switch in the office.
    The printer in configured with a valid IP-address but in my office I havn't got any WINS-server, so this configuration field is empty and unused. I tried several different methods but I can't get access to the Printer via TCP/IP. Just the "PING" command works correctly. I expected that the printer will appear in the Windows-File Sharing Folders, but it doesn't. By the way, all my computers are equipped with Microsoft Windows XP. I read somewhere in a board that a guy fixed this problem by using a program called "P2P" but I couldn't find something like this.
    With the original Toshiba drivers it is only possible to operate this printer local or over a Windows Print-sharing function but I don't want that one machine is running all the time.
    I hope anybody can help me with my issue.

  • Time limit is not working correctly

    I'm using a dot-connection task in which my participants have to complete a picture by 'drawing' a line with the mouse to connect numbered dots. They get a time limit of 10 seconds to do this; and they have to do it with three different pictures, so the script is repeated two times with different pictures.
    However, very often the program stops drawing the line after about 5 seconds. So, the picture is visible for the full 10 seconds and the little clock showing the remaining time also counts down these 10 seconds, but the mouse just doesn't leave a line anymore after a couple of seconds.
    This does not happen every time, sometimes it does work for the whole ten seconds. Sometimes, it even works for the first picture, but not for the other two, for example, although the script should be completely the same, since it is just repeated.
    It seems to me that it is completely random at which try it works and at which it doesn't; does anyone know what is going on?

  • CS5 Print Booklet not working correctly - double sided issues

    Hi,
    So I'm very familiar with Print Booklet and have done many books in the past double-sided, but somehow in the last few months, my InDesign is having trouble with page sequence when printing booklets. Instead of printing the odd spreads how it should ... I'm getting every other spread (within the 'odd only' or 'even only'). So for instance, in this one signature... I was supposed to get a print of the spread with pages 11 and 14, followed by the center of the signature which contained pages 12 and 13 on the left and right, respectively. What happened was 12/13 never printed but the spread before it did print, and the spread before THAT one didn't print. In the "preview" part on Print Booklet, it looks normal. It's just when it actually goes to print, it has a problem.
    I've tried printing with my printer and on multiple others — happens everytime.
    I'm trying to print a 24 page saddle-stitch booklet, double sided. I normally would print the odds first, flip the prints, and then print the evens. I have "print blank pages" and "print blank printer spreads" checked and everything seems to be normal... except it just keeps printing every other "odd" spread instead of all the odd spreads.
    I'm going to be printing a 200+pg book soon with a lot of signatures and really don't want to have to manually organize them all... so any help would be gladly appreciated.

    Your screen captures look correct, so the next step would be to go into the print driver (Click the Printer button, I believe) and check there to see if you've got it set to skip pages. After that, try trashing your prefs: Replace Your Preferences

  • Help - EXIF time and date not working correctly

    I am a long time Lightroom user and am trying out Aperture 2.1. I like it a lot but I just found a serious problem. I'm importing some old photos into my Aperture library, by referencing the files in an existing folder. The time and date for some of the files gets messed up. When I view these files in LR the time and date is fine. When I look at the "date created" in the Finder, the time is also messed up. For a photo shoot I did in Europe, the time for some images has the right date & time when converted to US time, but for some images it has the right date & time but as if it were in the US time zone. The files are all Nikon NEFs.
    Also, when I view the files in the Aperture import dialog box they are in the right order. But when they get imported and I'm looking at them in Aperture they are in the wrong order.

    OK, I give up. Turns out that after one successful import where the dates were ok, subsequent imports have the dates messed up again - whether in Quick or Normal mode. I also tried importing to a new collection, and also tried importing after rebuilding the library (via command-option click in the dock). Still hving this problem.

  • Library find feature not working correctly?

    My library contains images with filenames such as: CRW_1893.CRW, CRW_1894.CRW, CRW_1895.CRW, IMG_2059.JPG, IMG_2075.JPG.
    If I use the Find feature, search by Filename, specify Containing, and key in 1893 in the search field - an image will be found.
    If I do the same and key in W_1893 - nothing is found.
    If I do the same and key in _1893 - nothing is found.
    Is this a bug, is there a problem with underscore character in filenames, or am I missing something?

    Underscore is used by LR for something else. They are trying to rectify this. Don't know when.

  • Print does not work correctly for this web page

    When I print this, part of the bottom of the text is dropped (2-3 paragraphs). If I set it to landscape mode, even more of it is dropped.

    Just adding an image of a PDF I created using landscape mode.

  • Canon MG3550 is not working correctly

    I have recently bought Canon MG3550. I installed the driver etc but the printer is not working correctly. Sometimes it prints without any issues but other times it:
    - does not pick the printer - saying it's offline even though it's not (this is from laptop, iPad, phone...not just from one device)
    - does not print - the error message appears after a while saying that the printer is not responding
    - prints half of the page...or just picks up a paper but doesn't print at all
    I tried to de-install and re-install the driver etc. but it did not help. The printer is still behaving the same unpredictable way.
    Do you have any ideas how to solve it? It is a faulty device or am I doing something wrong?

    Your tags show iPad. You need the iPad 3 or newer in order to have Siri. What iPad do you have?
    There are a number of apps that are compatible with Word....Documents to Go, Pages, Quick Office Pro .... You need an app that will read, save and Word files on the iPad and if you don't have such an app, all that you can do is email the file and read it in the email. You will not be able to save or edit the files.
    After you download one of this apps, you can use email, DropBox, and IOS file sharing in order to transfer the documents back and forth. You can use iCloud as described above with Pages or any other app that works with iCloud.

  • My time machine is not working and the disk utilities cant repair it and is asking me to format the drive again. How can I backup the files before formatting the drive so that I don't lose my files?

    Error: Disk Utility can’t repair this disk. Back up as many of your files as possible, reformat the disk, and restore your backed-up files."
    How can I back up my files before reformatting when I can't even open the drive's folder?

    at my right side there are the backups but when i click them nothing happens they are like NOT CLICKABLE...

    Hi there @ms-redd!
    I can see here that you have the HP Deskjet 1510 and your using it with a computer running Windows 8.1.  For the issue with the black cartridge not printing I would suggest following this document regarding Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Deskjet 1510.
    To check and see if the printer is connected to the computer you need to go to your control panel and click on "devices and printers".  If the printer is connected correctly it will show in the devices and printers window.

  • Printer will not work after update to Mavericks

    I have a macbook pro and an HP7280 printer connected wirelessly.  After upgrading to Mavericks the printer will not work.  The first time I used it the system upgraded automatically (I forget what it said but it just went ahead and did some upgrading)  When I clicked on something to print it did recognized the printer but just scrolled and scrolled and never printed.  So I deleted the printer and reset the system and then added the printer back on - same thing.   Any ideas??

    It means there is no issue with the driver you are using and with it working correctly on Mavericks. So you have a network issue with the printer queue you are using. Normally a reset of the printing system and re-adding the printer would be enough to get things working again. But since you have done this and your issue is not resolved, there must be some other gremlins in the system.
    With the HP connected to the network, if you know its IP address you can enter this as a URL into a web browser. This should result in you connecting to the internal web page of the HP. Does this work?

    Hello, I'm having an issue with a LaserJet Pr0 200 color MFP M276nw Touch Screen not Working correctly. I have followed the instructions to reset the printer, but now am unable to select 'English' as my language because every time I select the 'English' option 'Spanish' is selected. I am then given two options to select 'Si' or 'No' both of which can not be selected on the touch screen?
    Anybody know of a way round this?

    I see that you are having issues with the touch screen not working correctly. I will do my best to help you.
    Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
    Was it the Nvram reset back to factory settings that you tried or a hard reset?
    Try selecting the option on the display a little higher above the icon to see if that helps. Some touch screens are finicky.
    I find that on the Lab printers when I am selecting different menus.
