  • How to configure oracle alerts to use Workflow mailer?

    Hello Guys:
    We were trying to setup oracle alerts using workflow mailer. I have created a dedicated mailer for handling oracle alerts related mail.
    Here is what I need to clarify:
    1. Having setup a new mailer for Oracle alert do I have to still configure the Options in Oracle Alerts. This is where you choose which type of mail u want to use ( like Unix mail,Windows NT mail )
    2.How do I tell oracle alert to use the new mailer that I created exclusively for this? While creating the mailer at some point I remember putting ALR in configuration form.
    I am on 11.5.10 CU2. I am on 11i.ATG_PF.H

    Hi Hussain:
    Based on the note I realised that my oracle alerts will user unix sendmail. But then If u go to " Oracle Alert Options "
    -- > Mail systems -- I check Unix send mail
    -- > Mail server options ( Do I have to fill this section? )
    My guess is that the send mail will post the email to a IMAP account ( I created oraclealert account ) and IMAP account will push the alert email to Recipient
    Mail Database/Server Name --- imap.mydomain.com
    Mail Priority --- Normal
    Accounts
    Application Installation username Password
    Blank ** Blank ** oraclealert pwd
    Blank ** Blank ** oraclealert pwd
    ** - It wont allow me to choose an application.
    Is there a simple test to make sure that my oracle alert is working or not? I appreciate your help.

  • Setting Importance Level for a email message using javax.mail.* API

    Setting Importance Level for a email message using javax.mail.* API
    From what I understand we can set Flag on Email Message. How can we set Importance Leve: High/Low for an email message?
    Thanks
    Purvi

    Most of the message Flags work only for IMAP mailboxes. POP3 supports only the DELETED flag. It must be understood that Javamail is a framework which provides all the features available in a standard mailing system. But whether or not a particular feature works is a functionality of the particular implementation being used.
    Thus for example POP3 cannot differentiate read from unread messages in a mailbox though Javamail provides that feature.

  • Technical: QoS setup for STB when NOT using Actiontec DHCP

    This is way over the heads of the phone support people so I thought I would post here and see how it goes.
    I run a Server 2003 domain at home.  When I had FIOS TV installed we were not able to get the STBs working properly without reseting the Actiontec to defaults and using it for the DHCP server.  This caused many problems with my domain member PCs and I ended up having to statically address them.  Unfortunalty, the DHCP server in the Actiontec is terrible and Ive had to reboot the unit several times when my PS3, PSP, Wii, and other non-domain/non-static devices connect,  (It also affects the STBs at times and both the router and the STBs end up needing reboots.)
    After a bit of looking and a bit of experimenting I was able to disable the DHCP on the Actiontec and go back to DHCP on the Windows Server.  My domain is working great again.  The STBs are working great (although you HAVE to create reservations that give them IPs starting with 100 or the will NOT work).  All the other devices get IPs quickly and work everytime.  Yeah!
    Now for my question.  When the Actiontec was assigning the IP, the STBs seemed to automagically get a QoS setup in the Actiontec router.  When the Windows Server assigns the IP there is no QoS setup to be found.  While I understand why this occurs, I really don't know if there will be an adverse side affect.  On demand seems to be working fine, but I don't use it much and don't know if I'll have issues when the "network" is experiencing congestion.  If the QoS setup is important, can anyone give me the details on how to implement the setting manually in the router?
    Thank you...
    -ak

    tsk,
      Yup....that explains how it know to address them with 100-110, but also explains why I saw a QoS setup for them when using the AT for DHCP.  This weekend Im going to switch back to AT DHCP and make note of what I see.  I know Im not crazy, there was something there, I just didn't think to write it down before I made the changes.
      I am also in agreement that these change most likely will NOT affect VOD unless something else has gone wrong.

  • POP3 & IMAP Email setup for both Wifi & Cell use separately...

    Hello,
    I was asked to post info about this by an iPhone support rep.
    I initially had lots of trouble setting accounts for use with both my WiFi home and office networks and for use through the ATT cell network.
    If you have a question as to how to setup email for both WiFi and Cell use, answer is you can't configure these manually and you don't want to...the phone does this automatically...and seamlessly. (you will NOT see the change in the advanced settings menu, this occurs internally, the settings appear the same)
    The problem: Accounts changing settings automatically...when manually configuring two separate accounts with the same email address but trying to setup the outgoing settings for different ports...one for WiFi (your broadband server acct / port 587) and one for Cell (cwmx.com / port 25)...THIS WON'T WORK!! My WiFi configured email accounts would automatically switch to Cellular configured email accounts as long as they had the same email address. Even though I gave them different names, the phone looks at the "actual email address" and if they are the same it changes your configuration to match the other account (it does this by matching the account that was either ON or OFF first and as soon as you match the second account to that setting (either ON or OFF) the phone switches the settings to match the first account.
    The Solution: (End of the Story first for those who have or are facing this problem): Be sure to setup the email accounts for use with your WiFi account first (and ONLY), as when you leave the WiFi area or turn off the WiFi setting the email account will automatically reconfigure itself for use with the ATT Cellular network...then the settings will switch back when you re-connect to the WiFi area(s). The settings that you will "SEE" are your setup for WiFi, this will not change even when using the Edge network (at least not what is displayed in the "advanced" menu). You will still see Port 587, even though the phone is changing setups internally and changes back once back on a WiFi network, you just don't see the changes.
    *I hope this helps!*
    (more details below for those who might be interested and _for those who may be trying to setup using COMCAST Broadband_)...
    My issue began because I could not get my Comcast setup to work for outgoing email. So I was advised to setup for the Edge port settings by an iPhone support person from ATT...this was a huge error. Because I attempted to do this it actually kept the phone from smoothly converting settings as needed. I only discovered this after resolving the actual problem with my WiFi (Comcast Broadband settings) issue which was actually the setup that MUST HAVE a user ID and Password, at least when using a Comcast Broadband account. Unlike the rest of my XP and ME computers on my networks which do not require this info, the iPhone DOES.
    Because I could not get outgoing mail to work with my broadband setup I attempted to setup two accounts for each email address...one for Cellular and one for WiFi for when I would figure out my problem...or for just sending email more quickly. This does not work as the conflict causes a nightmare. This is something the iPhone support folks should have explained but failed to do so, perhaps as they didn't know this?
    Bottom line: Let the phone do the choosing...it works great and will avoid YOU wasting TWO DAYS and more than 12 hours on the phone with iPhone Support as I did. I eventually figured the port switching issues and solutions on my own through trial and error and luckily one bright iPhone support person advised me that he knew for sure that when using the iPhone with Comcast you must setup "outgoing settings" using an "ID" and "Password" which I was provided by Comcast in only a few minutes. I don't use their emial account but I setup one just for this purpose. Once done, my email accounts began working normally. Once I resolved the conflict issues listed above the phone now works great both WiFi and Cell.

    fullspool,
    Comcast offers an authenticating SMTP server that should work for you on WiFi and EDGE both.
    The settings are linked in this Apple knowledge base article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306074
    The Comcast link is:
    http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?faq=Emailtop18913
    From that link the settings are:
    Your email address: [email protected]
    The email server type (POP)
    Incoming mail server: mail.comcast.net
    Outgoing mail server: smtp.comcast.net
    With SSL on for both incoming and outgoing.
    Hope this helps,

  • Sun idm adapter for Enterprise Service Bus (Using MQ)

    Hi
    Can you please let me know if any sun idm adapter support Enterprise Service Bus (Using MQ) ?
    Thanks

    As answer on question 1:
    No I never found any documentation from SAP that described a ESB solution. So al the knowledge must come from other vendors in your case from Sonic.
    But there is hope you can use XI in a ESB way. You must only (add) configure the ESB parts. This is done by adding a service repository for example the UDDI server in combination with some BPML engine.
    By adding it al together you can execute your business processes over multiple system platforms using SOAP in a synchronic way.
    This is the basic concept of a ESB.
    The answer to question 2.
    I don’t know if XI has build in support, but a know that there are free tools that can handle Canonical XML. So you can make a service your self to handle the Canonical XML documents.

  • Cannot complete wireless setup for Officejet 4500 G510n using HP Installer

    Hi,
    I hope someone can help me with this problem.
    I bought an Officejet 4500 G510n and all was working fine on my old MacBook laptop. I have recently switched to a MacBook Air running OS X 10.8 and I can no longer connect wirelessly to this printer.
    I have tried the following:
    - resetting printer settings from OS X "Preferences" using USB cable.
    - disconnecting USB cable to printer.
    - downloading and installing the latest software drivers for OS X 10.8
    - reconnect USB cable to printer to start printer setup.
    The problem arrises when I am performing the set-up task:
    - Screen shows invalid network details and gives me no option to continue.... only to go back to the previous page. I am stuck with no options at the moment.
    Attached is the screen-shot of what I'm seeing.
    Any help would be very grateful.
    John

    From what you describe, you are using a USB cable but the information displayed there is for wireless. What you would want to do is install the printer using the USB cable and selecting USB installation, then use the software to complete the USB to Wireless conversion.
    Either this, or you can set up the printer on your wireless network using the wireless setup wizard and then install using Networked - Wireless as the installation type.
    Happy Holidays!

  • Modifying properties with a file for Web Service Stub used for Oracle Forms

    I have created a stubbed-out web service in JDeveloper (10.1.3.4) and imported into Oracle Forms.
    However, I would like to use a properties file to call the appropriate endpoint based on if the environment is dev, test, UAT or prod. I see that a properties file is referenced in the _Stub class. Here is a snippet of code from that class file:
    public CriticalChangeWS_Soap11_Stub(HandlerChain handlerChain) {
    super(handlerChain);
    setProperty(ENDPOINTADDRESS_PROPERTY, "http://epw-01.gds.graebel.com:8087/CriticalChange.svc/Soap11");

    setPortName( new QName("http://tempuri.org/","CriticalChangeWS_Soap11"));
    setupConfig("wsquery/proxy/runtime/CriticalChangeWS_Soap11_Stub.xml");
    How can I use the XML file to set the ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY?

    Hi Frank,
    I got the following two lines of code just to check if WebServiceConnection was able to read the connections file alright.
                String urlString = wsc.getWsdlUrlStr();
                System.out.println("WSDL URL: "+urlString);
    I am not using urlString for further processing.
    The output is

    The WSDL Url pointed to is the one that I configure in the connection while deploying the App.

  • Alert setup for Admin and Manage servers in weblogic

    Hi All,
    We need to setup e-mail notification for health status of admin and managed servers on fusion middleware 11g. Kindly advise.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

    Hi there Vijay,
    you can easily do this using the WebLogic Diagnostic Framework. If your WebLogic installation hosts products from the Fusion Middleware portfolio, e.g. Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle WebCenter, etc., you will have a preconfigured WLDF module targeted to all servers named Module-FMWDFW.
    In general you will have to:
    1. Configure mail session and target it to all servers. Details on the mail server are provided as properties. Use the following as a starting point:
    mail.host=<your_outgoing_mail_server_host>
    mail.user=<your_outgoing_mail_server_user>
    mail.transport.protocol=smtp
    mail.from=<address_to_send_emails_from>
    mail.debug=True
    2. Configure WebLogic Diagnostic Framework Module or reconfigure the Module-FMWDFW if exists
    3. Configure Watches and Notifications for that module and the data/events you are interested in. By default the Module-FMWDFW is configured to generate ADR incidents in certain occasions (you can examine the configuration of Module-FMWDFW).
    You can get more details from these resources:

  • Best setup for itunes and AppleTV using 1 airport express

    Hi there.
    I bought an Airport Express but now I don't know if it's best to create a wireless network or extend an existing one.
    I wired my ISP router to the Express but I want to be able to send to Apple TV both video and sound without dropping the quality.
    At the moment I have created a new wireless network only being used by my laptop and AppleTV... but every other device at home used the original ISP network/psswd.
    What would be the best way to set this?
    Thanks in advance...

    Since this Cisco can provide a Wi-Fi network you may not need the AirPort Express at all. If you got the Express because the Apple TV will be some distance from where the Cisco is located with the intent to extend the Cisco's wireless range, it won't work. At least not if you want the connection between routers to be wireless ... and that is because they are incompatible for this purpose.
    Since you stated that you have already connected them both by Ethernet, you should configure both of them for a roaming network. This shouldn't require any changes to the Cisco since you also mentioned that you weren't able to.
    The Apple TV can then either be connected to the Express' LAN (opposing arrows) port or to it Wi-Fi network. Connecting it by Ethernet should provide better bandwidth.

  • Transport Service Down - Can missing mails be recovered

    Hi
    We had a transport service outage on our exchange server. During the period of the outage we lost a few important emails.
    Is there any way in which we can restore these missing emails? I have a backup of the mail.que file for the period.

    Hi,
    Please open Outlook -> Sync Issues -> Server Failures, check if these messages at there.
    Based on my knowledge, when the Exchange Server outage, the emails missing can be stuck in Server Failures folder.

  • RTMT Displaying Critical Service Down, However The Cluster is Stable.

    Hi All,
    Need a little ?
    I have a CUCM Cluster consisting of 1 x Pub & 1 x Sub in a Dev Enviroment, we recently installed RTMT and noticed we get the following alarms
    for the Pub and Sub.
    Alert Name = Critical Service Down,     Severity = Critical,     Description = Service Status Down SNMP Master Agent
    Alert Name = Critical Service Down,     Severity = Critical,     Description = Service Status Down Cisco Messaging Interface SNMP Master Agent
    The alarms are genegrated every minute and is really annoying. Can't figure out why we keep getting this as the Cluster appears to be fuctioning ok.
    Is there anyway to put a Halt to the alarms?
    Please see my attached screenshot any help is appreciated.
    Regards
    Charles

    These are precanned alerts for Critcal Service Down alarms in RTMT.  The SNMP Master Agent and CMI services that are listed here are considered critical services; however, they would not typically have any impact on system performance.  In fact, if you don't use SNMP then you wouldn't need the SNMP Master Agent service activated or started.  So, I believe the likely scenario here is that all of the services in the cluster are activated but not all of them are started.  In other words, you may have activated everything and then selectively started the services you need.  I believe if you deactivate the specific services referenced, you should stop getting these alerts.

  • CSS messages Service Down/Alive

    Hello,
    we use CSS 11503, and for some service we use a http keepalive with value (10 3 5). We have sometimes messages DOWN/ALIVE with just one second difference :
    APR 17 23:29:17 1/1 574 NETMAN-2: Enterprise:Service Transition:Test01 -> down
    APR 17 23:29:18 1/1 575 NETMAN-5: Enterprise:Service Transition:Test01 -> alive
    Why, i think that with the value we use for this keepalive service, the mininum difference from status down and alive shoud be of 5 seconds,
    Thank a lot to explain us this value of 1 second between DOWN/ALIVE status ?
    Didier

    Hi, it sounds like we are having the same problem.....
    The service goes down for 1 second then comes back active...we have an open TAC case on this issue, the services to not acutally go down, here is their current thinking
    Usually we see this type of log entry when the CS-800 is receiving a high volume of extraneous traffic. Because
    we act as both a router and a bridge, we must examine each packet. This particular queue handles all non-specific
    and non-IP traffic, including Spanning Tree BPDU, non-IP bridgeable traffic, ICMP, ARP, UDP fragments, and
    packets with expired TTL. Under situations where the CS-800 receives a high number of these packets, such as
    during a DOS attack or where other network anomalies exist, there may be occasional drops in this queue. This
    should not have any impact on user TCP traffic, as TCP is sent to a different queue.
    If this error appears in the log occasionally, then check the "show dos" commands to make sure the site is not
    under attack. Also, check the network topology to make sure the routing is solid. If the log is filling rapidly
    with these errors, then a packet capture may be helpful in isolating the cause
