Hi, when I run the Schema Builder I receive error "OBE-15950 No Query Builder tables--Database open/save is disabled----
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist", but I already run the SQL script with Oracle Developer Build and already Grant the permision with Oracle Developer Grant. But this message still persist.
Please, help me .

I've had the same problem installing on Linux, where installation of objects and grants is kicked off by the $ORACLE_HOME/bin/install_tables.sh script. The last SQL script called from it is $ORACLE_HOME/browser60/admin/sql/brwins60.sql and it contains a bug - towards the end it calls brwupg60.sql and it should call $ORACLE_HOME/browser60/admin/sql/brwupg60.sql instead. Check the logs, I suspect your problem stems from the same source.

Query builder installation

Hi,
please excuse my english.
I have a 9.2.0.1.0 installed database
I would like to use Query Builder and schema Builder from Oracle 6i
(Oracle Designer 6i Release 4.4 - a full, patch release for Designer 6i Release 4
(Includes the Designer 6i Release 4, R1.3.2 to R6.0 Upgrade)
The installation work fine but when I connect I have the messages
OBE-15952 Privilege table not loaded and
OBE-15950 no query builder table, Open and Savin deactivated.
In fact the repository is missing
I've tried to run BRWIN60 in <OracleHome>\BROWSE\SQL to create the desired tables but I've got the message : These scripts lets you install the Oracle Query Builder system tables.
*** Error: File system is not writable. ***
Installation has failed. Please make the file system writable and
restart installation.
can anyone explain what does it means ?

The scripts is what you need to run.
Check out that the directory you run them from is writeable.

Error launching Query Builder

Immediately after supplying userid/password/database parameters when launching the Oracle Query Builder, the following error message is displayed:
OBE-15952: User privilege table not loaded

What needs to be done to eliminate the messages?

query builder is no longer a supported product. however, you might want to try adding verbose=no to the commandline.

Query Builder error when loading importing certain SQL files

Using an SQL statement which causes Oracle*Reports 6i to issue "Error loading data constraints" messages, the following error is displayed form the Oracle Query Builder:
OBE-15952: User privilege table not loaded
OBE-15950: No Query Builder tables--Database open/save is disabled
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
These are the same errors issues just by launching the Query Builder.
The database contains multiple virtual databases, called entities, such that we can have multiple, virtual systems sharing some common data between them. Could it be that there are problems with the 'virtual database' entity features?

what database version are you using ? it might be, that query builder does not support the version/features you are using.

Open and connect in OBI 11.1.1.5 admin tool fowwoling OBE Upgrade

I installed OBI11.1.1.5 on Redhat 5.2 and the admin tool on a windows. In this two machine I have OBI 10 server and admin tool installed as well. The OBI 11 components are all up running as I can access them such as EM and represention service.
Following OBEhttp://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/bi/bi11115/upgrade/upgrade_to_11g.htm?print=preview#t3 .I upgraded our 10g rpd and catalog and see the repository saved in instance_home, and verified that the default is RPD sh20110903_BI002.
Next step in the OBE, I verify Reposiotory Metadata. I launched the admin tool, opened inline. In the generated dialog box, I entered the password in defined in the update script as Repository Password, and used weblogic login in User/Password. All other fields are blank. That is all I can do in the dialog box, but the Open buttone is always grey. I think at least one available repository should be listed in the list box at the bottom, but it was empty.
Then I tried to create a new repository. In step 2 Select Data Source, I choose ODBC 3.5 and use a valid system DSN, but got Error : The connection has failed.
I tried also use Connection Type OCI 10g/11g. IN the Data Source Name I used a valid netservice name defined in a Oracle client's Oracle_HOME. But still got Error : The connection has failed.
Questions
1) How can make the Open button active in the Open inline RPD dialog box?
2) Why the valid System DSN failed to connect in 11g admin tool. It is OK in 10g admin tool and ODBC configure
3) How to make Admin Too; sees the tnsnames definition. Should I copy the tnsnames.ora file to somewhere under Admin Tool installation directory?

Thanks. The post appares make sense. I opened my user.sh file and has 2 questions:
1) There are 32bit section and 64 bit section, and it states that 32 bit server must work with 32 bit client, so is for 64 bit. In my case, the clients are most likely 32 bit windows (browsers and admin tool), but the server is installed on Redhat 64 bit. Is this a problem? How do I know if my OBIEE iis running 64 or 32 bit?
2) All entries in the user.sh file are commented out. Then what file is used to in the current OBI11, it is started automatically after the installation.

I am expected to install the fop.war file using OEM. I have OEM for 11g working but I don't see the application component, just the Database. How do I get the App component working. The BI Publisher was installed using "basic" option as suggested by the OBE I am using.

Error while running OBE - J2EE - ADF

While testing the OBE EJBtoJSP and ADFtoJSP, i always have the following error when i try to run the application.
What is missing to Bind the Data ?

Please ensure that the DataBindings.cpx file appears on your classpath. The framework will, by default, create this file under the src directory of your ViewController project and build this file under the classes directory of your ViewController project. It will then be deployed appropriated to the WEB-INF directory.

Error message when trying to download obee

HI,
I just created a workspace and wanted to test obee installation before sendinf URL to my customer
When I go to client access : https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/External_02.html
and click "Download and execute Obee installer"
I receive the following error message :
+500 Internal Server Error+
Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response. Please consult the application log for details.
Can you please fix this ?
I am Oracle employee so I was able to install it by internal servers but do we have a document somewhere to manually declare the beheonlive account on obee ?

OBE-15409: Error in loading constraint information

Hi,
I'm having a problem with the Query Builder in Reports Builder. When selecting a table with any type of constraints I get the following type of error message (Emp in user scott/tiger):
OBE-15409: Error in loading constraint information for EMPNO (PK_EMP)
OBE-15409: Error in loading constraint information for DEPTNO (FK_DEPTNO)
The table is shown in the query builder and I can create the select but for instance if I select two tables with a foreign key constraint between them, the foreign key is not shown in the query builder. I have to manually create the join between the tables.
The error seems to correspond to an upgrade of the database. I get the error with a database upgraded to either 9.2.0.3.0 or 9.2.0.4.0. But on a database upgraded to 9.2.0.2.1 I don't get the error. I have tried with both the original 9i Developer Suite and an upgraded version with Patchset 2 (9.0.2.2.0).
The same error appears on 3 different setups. 2 local installations of database and developer suite and 1 client/server setup. Everything running Windows 2000 SP 3.
Any suggestions?

This query works fine in sql*plus.
i am placing this query in report data wizard and the query builder gives error "OBE-15065: Syntax error"
the report i am developing is to a delimited output as a fixed length falt file.
because of this query whenever i try to export using desformat=delimite and destype=file in system parameters. the report builder crashes.
have anyone faced this sort of problem.
is there something wrong with the query and iam doing it in wrong way in the reports.
please give your suggestions

You haven't said what version of Oracle or what version of Query Builder you are using. There are things that work in SQL, but not in PL/SQL or various tools, especially in older versions. A select statement within a select clause is one of those things that gets rejected. Usually, the easiest way to fix it is to move the select statement from the select clause to the from clause. Please try the following and see if it solves your problem:

Error message Deploying the sample HRapp using OBE

I a novice to 9ias and I am using the OBE documents to get hands on on the Oracle 9ias. I tried to deploy the sample hrweb following the OBE document and encountered the error below. I need some help as to what to do next to correct this situation.
On installation, I have the J2EE and webcache on one host and the infrastructure and database on another host.
Here is the error message:

<ejb-local-ref> tag is used to reference an entity bean that has a local home and local interface. <ejb-local-ref> tag is supported in EJB 2.0 and later versions. Looking at the error message it appears that the container you are using does not support EJB 2.0.

I am using Oracle 6i Query Builder to export data to Excel sheet and got error:
OBE-15502: Can only have 16000 rows per document
Is there any way i can export MORE than 16000 rows to Excel?

No, 16000 rows is a general limit, independent of a third party tool like Excel.
The only advice I have is, you should consider Oracle Discoverer instead of Query Builder. Query Builder belongs to Developer 6i and is going to be desupported.
