Obfuscator for adobe flex 3

hi all, i had worked for many months in a project of mine with adobe flex, at this point i have developed a interesting and powerful ria with adobe flex 3 and sql server database, now i want to put it on the web but i want to avoid to someone accessing my app tries to decompiling. my app work with modules which are loaded into the client when need it, so my question is theres somes way to hide this modules ? i think a first security barrier could be obfuscate it, but theres others ? i was googling and there are people saying that many obfuscators for adobe flex dont work and produce compiling errors.
thanks in advance.

Hi Marcelo,
FlexBuilder on Linux was an alpha product which was not licensed under Adobe Flex 3 license.
Also FlexBuilder on Linux is now a discontinued product and please find more details in this link
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flex/flexbuilder_linux/
However one can continue using Flex SDK on Linux from command line.
Thanks,
Deeptika

  • Support for Adobe Flex

    Hi All,
    Is Adobe Flex supported in R/3 4.7? If not, what other components or stand alone engines are required to support it?
    Regards,
    Masoud

    Hi,
    It is not possible to develop RIA application in 4.7.
    For adobe flex you will need to upgrade the system to ECC 6.0 and Netweaver 7.0. And also you will need adobe flex builder.

  • Is there a forum or additional documentation for Adobe Flex Connector for MS SQL Server?

    Is there a forum or additional documentation for Adobe Flex Connector for MS SQL Server?  I am having problems getting it to work.  Also it states that it is Flash Builder 4 certified but the code is all in halo (<mx:Application ...).  I followed the documentation in the included PDF to no avail.  I am looking for additional documentation - e.g.:  a)  where exactly (which directory on the SQL Server) to store the "fas_mssql_connector.asp" file;  b) how to code the URL to the  "fas_mssql_connector.asp";  c) wondering if the product is really Flex 4 certified.  Thanks for any help (especially pointers to additional documenation).

    I do have exactly the same questions. SO far the fas_mssql_connector.asp file is placed at the 'wwwroot' folder of the 'inetpub' folder of the IIS server. As hostname I use '[MyServer]' since it should run on the same machine and username and password are correct.
    The fas_MSsql_Clean file is setup in a way that the name of the database is specified and the url to the asp file is set as: http://[MyServer]/fas_mssql_connector.asp
    My SQL query looks like this:
    private function getDbData():void
        mssqlQuery("Select * from Tomat", "getDataO3");
    And the MXML document like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" minWidth="955" minHeight="600">
        <mx:Script source="Actionscript/MSsql.as"/>
        <mx:Script source="Actionscript/SqlQueries.as"/>
        <mx:DataGrid x="148" y="95" id="dgData">
            <mx:columns>
                <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 1" dataField="col1"/>
                <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 2" dataField="col2"/>
                <mx:DataGridColumn headerText="Column 3" dataField="col3"/>
            </mx:columns>
        </mx:DataGrid>
        <mx:Button x="148" y="264" label="Get data" id="btnGet" click="getDbData()"/>
    </mx:Application>
    However the application is busy for a long time and I do not receive a single piece of data. Any help with this?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Query For Adobe Flex 4 Plug-in for QTP

    Hi ,
    I have a query regarding Flash plugin for QTP 11.0 . My application is a web application and it is developed using Flash and java. I wanted to use Adobe Flex 4 plug in but was not able to find it. It is still available for download and will it support QTP 11.0
    Thanks ,
    Shweta

    The Canon EOS 350 (DIgital Rebel XT) was not added to Camera Raw until version 3.1. Photoshop CS only supports Camera Raw 2.x.
    You will need to upgrade to CS2 or use the DNG Converter utility to convert the raw files from the 350 to a DNG file that Photoshop CS can work with.

  • Java API for Adobe Flex(AIR and Browser)

    Hello Community,
    Sometime ago i started the project located at: : http://code.google.com/p/gwt4air/ , wich primary goal was to bring another approach on writing AIR application by providing a Java API for the AIR API. On top of that i added support for PDF and Excel generation using Java.
    I m glad to announce that  the project  will now add support for the Flex Framework
    I wrote a post about it on the main page.
    The Idea behind it is to give Java Developers a more simple way to write Flex Application by leaveraing a swing like API.
    I hope this project will be a good alternative to the MXML+ ActionScript approach and looking for people willing to join the project.
    Regards,
    Alain

    Good question, I'd like to know this myself. 4.5 has a huge number of changes since 4.0.

  • SAP ADS vs Adobe Flex Plus

    Hello Team,
    Wondering if Adobe flex plus has any role with SAP-ADS?
    Is Adobe Flex Plus is different from SAP- ADS?
    We want to understand if Adobe Flex Plus has any reference with SAP-ADS? so that we can take it futher with the Business Requirement for Adobe Flex Plus.
    Regards
    Sekhar

    Hi Sekhar,
    If its Adobe flash island or adobe flex builder based application then there is no requirement of ADS.
    ADS is required for Adobe interactive forms. For information on Adobe flex based application, please go through the below links:

  • OpenScript - Adobe Flex script - cannot see flexFT elements

    I've created an Adobe Flex script in OpenScript, but when I record a Flex application, or use Inspect Path, I only see "web" elements, and not "flexFT" elements.
    What am I missing?

    I think I found my own answer here.  I don't yet have access to the source, and am not sure if it's been compiled with the Adobe automation libraries.
    FROM: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25294_01/doc.920/e15488/opscrpt_using_flxft_module.htm
    11.1.2 Prerequisites
    The Adobe Flex Functional Test Module recorder has the following prerequisites:
    Note:
    The automation libraries/swc files are required for Flex Functional Testing only. This does not apply for Adobe Flex (AMF) load testing which records at the protocol level.
    The Flex application must include the Adobe Flex automation libraries either at compiles time or at run time. You need at least automation.swcautomation_agent.swcautomation_dmv.swc

  • Adobe Flex 2.0

    somewhere in the internet i found an advertisement for "Adobe Flex 2.0"(AJAX) .....i became interested and i opened this link
    http://www.adbhost.com/fbeta/index.php?s=20CZBV1025
    anybody here used this ?
    Does it work for J2EE enviornment ? or is this only for .NET guys ?
    thanks for visiting my post and spending your precious time
    Regards

    If it is related to AJAX, I am guessing that it has more to do with JavaScript rather than anything else. I didn't check out Flex mainly because I couldn't find any easy link for the product information. The download link asks me to register and I don't want to do that. ;)
    If that product is not specifically designed for .NET or any other platform, I guess you could use it in the J2EE environment.

  • Are there any recent tutorials or information for integrating Adobe Flex with Ruby on Rails 4?

    I've combed and searched extensively and most of the documentation is anywhere from 4 to 7 years old.  A lot of it focuses on outdated gems or libraries.  I've even seen Rails 2.0 as a focus for a lot of this information.
    I would just like to know if anyone has any valid resources for the latest Adobe Flex integrating with a Rails 4.x application.  And, if so, where is this hidden information listed or located?
    Thanks.
