OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5.0) - Issue with starting Node Manager

Hi,
Have anyone faced an issue with starting Node Manager in OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5.0)? OS is 64 bit Linux, WebLogic is 10.3.5. I used the software-install method and followed by running config.sh. Everything completed successfully. I updated the catalog and rpd location in the FMW control screen.
To get it activated I bounced services and when I try to start Node Manager it gives below error --

I see the same issue reported in ML OBIEE 11g - Node manager fails to start upon upgrade [ID 1329442.1] and WebLogic Server: Node Manager Startup is Failing with java.io.IOException: Unsupported cypher suite [ID 1329260.1] I tried to modify commEnv.sh. But it didnt help me.
Please let me know if anyone have faced similar issue and what exactly did you do to resolve it.

Hi,
There are Two types of Cipher suites --- Certicom Cipher Suite and SunJSSE Equivalent Cipher Suite. And with Weblogic 10.3.5, you are using Sun JSSE Cipher Suite, and by default Node Manager uses the Certicom Cipher Suite.
In the nodemanager.properties, Add CipherSuite=SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5, save and restart Node Manager.

Z40-70 compatibility issue with your power management system

I noticed today that the Action Center says "Compatibility issue with your power management system." The description underneath is: Your power management system isn't working peoperly because a compatible driver is not available for this version of Windows. Battery is charging; battery percentage is showing; I can adjust screen brightness. I am not sure when exactly this problem started but it defenitely was not there before. Tried downloading and fixing the Power Management Software and updating BIOS. Still have the same message. System: Windows 8.1 64-bit

What model do you have? Can you post your MTM or model name?
Sometimes these messages are a false alarm.

Hi,
After downgrading form win10 back to 8.1 due to endless driver malfunction and a significant decrease in overall performance, I got this message in windows action center: “Compatibility issue with your power management system”. When I click on it it says: This solution could not be downloaded
Most likely causes:
• Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later. As you can see, my internet connection is fine. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks,

I am trying to install OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5) on solaris 10 and i am facing the following issue once i run the "./runInstaller"

Issue with starting the emctl dbconsole

Hello All,
I need your help related to the below issue with the emctl, I am using Oracle 11g R2 on windows XP.
My enterprise manager was working well.
But at some day i was not able to start the dbconsole with error net msg
A service specific error occurred: 1.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3547.
I fixed the issue by modifying the file : C:\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\VirtualXP-20239_windb\sysman\config
agentTZRegion=+03:00 instead of agentTZRegion=Europe/Minsk
But again i faced an issue that localhost_windb is not found so i made a new copy of the folder VirtualXP-20239_windb but with name localhost_windb.
Now the emctl start dbconsole is working with result sucsseful
but the emctl staus dbconsole returning that the enterprise manager 11g is not running and i am not able to access my EM.
Any solution..

It looks like the name of your host has been changed. Have you changed the hostname intentionally or do you use DHCP service for naming your system? You should use a static IP and hostname for DB system (please refer to installation requirements).
If your hostname has been changed, DBControl needs to be dropped and re-created.

PI 7.1 upgrade related issue (With removeContexts node function)

Hi all,
We have upgrade from PI 7.0 to 7.1, there was no changes done to the maps...but when we execute the old maps it give no value in the queue error: (this occurs during run time)...
But when I test the payload it executes fine...I have found and issue with remove context (the queue display in 7.0 is different than in 7.1)
It doesn't end with SUPPRESS context change...we have observe that the maps which has removeContext are failing...
Is there any OSS note on this issue...anyone faced this issue?
Any suggestions?

I have added the parameter to the init method of the Functions tab in our message mapping - retainlastValueofPreviousContext=true; according to the blog...but still the same error...
But, when I execute in the Test tab it works fine;
Any other suggestions or anyone who has faced this issue...we are on PI 7.1 SPS7

Issue with Liquidity Forecast Management

Hi Experts,
I have an issue with Liquidity Management Report FF7B where our Liquidity report total for Customer and Vendors are not showing correct Balance as per the Open item balances of the report Totals.
To resolved this i executed FDFD and by selecting Correct Data tab with option All Customers/ Vendors. Later when i go and see in the Report FF7B the date is deleted. Next i exeucted the T.code OT30 with selection parameter Account type K & D , Company code. After doing this i can see Reprot FF7B is showing correct Balances as per the Open items.
But now i am facing another issue while creating the Purchase Order where it is asking for correct Planning Level Ex:- M2 which is default Configuration provided by SAP. This configuration is there from the begining and we don't have any issue previously. This Error is coming only when i do the above process.
Can any one guide me how to correct this. We don't want to change the existing configuraiton because we don't use the Planning for PO's and sales orders.

OIM 11g (11.1.1.5.0) issue with AD connector after importing into new env

OIM 11g 11.1.1.5.0
I had exported the AD connector from our Dev environment and imported it into Test. When I try to assign the AD resource to a user, provisioning is stuck on the AD Create User adapter, specifically the isADAM Task.
I'm assuming something isn't populated in the IT resource or there is a disconnect in the tables after the import. The IT Resource config looks identical to the Dev env, isADAM = no. The group and org recon jobs run fine and it gets past the server validation task.
If anyone can point me in the right direction to resolve this, I would greatly appreciate it.

This has been fixed. For reference, we had a slightly different resource name in the AD Server prepopulate adapter which was causing issues even if the correct ad server was selected in the user form.

Issue with hierarchy node variable and multiple SAP hierarchies

Hello experts,
We are currently facing an issue when using two SAP hierarchies in Web Intelligence and one of them is restricted with a hierarchy node variable.
The systems we use are a SAP BI 7.01 (SPS 05) and a Business Objects Enterprise XI R3.1 SP2 (fix pack 2.3). I want also to point out that the fix pack 2.3 has been applied to all BOE related components: the SAP integration Kit, client tools, and enterprise (server and client).
The universe used in our scenario is based on a BEX Query with two hierarchies (non-time dependent hierarchies, intervals allowed) loaded on their corresponding characteristics. One of these characteristics is restricted with a hierarchy node variable (manual input, optional, ready for input, multiple single values allowed).
Prerequisites for replicating the problem:
1) When building the web intelligence query select several levels from both hierarchies (they have seven levels each) and the only amount of the InfoCube that the BEX query (that was used to create our universe) relies on.
2) In the hierarchy node variable prompt select a hierarchy node entry (not an actual InfoObject value that exists as transactional data in the InfoCube )
By executing the query built above, all characteristics are returned null (no value) and the key figure with value u201C0u201D. No error messages, no partial results warnings. Now if we go back to u201CEdit queryu201D and select levels of only one of any of the two hierarchies the query runs normally (by selecting the exact same value for the hierarchy node variable prompt).
Any ideas on the matter?

Goods Issue with Purchase Account Management

Hi,
in one of our foreign subsidiaries we have to run the MM-Purchase Account Management. These subsidiaries will be delivered by Cross-Company Replenishment deliveries with intercompany-invoicing. Every Goods receipt for such an replenishment delivery will be posted in the receiving subsidiary, besides the normal bookings on the u2018Goods/Invoice Received clearing accountu2019 and u2018Stock accountsu2019, on additional purchasing accounts. Now itu2019s possible that the goods have to be returned to the delivering plant due to any problems. To send back the goods we use again a SD-delivery (triggered also by an MM-IC-Purchase order) and with this SD-delivery we want also to post the goods issue in the subsidiary. But as the goods receipt has been posted on these special additional purchasing accounts, the goods issue has also to be posted on these special additional purchasing accounts (The target is to correct these purchasing accounts to the ammount of the returned goods). But it seems that this is not possible because of the MM-Account determination which doesnu2019t allow to post on these special purchasing accounts with an SD-transaction. Iu2019m no MM-expert but is there any possibility to post on this purchase accounts also when posting a goods issue in SD? If not in standard, are there any User-Exits in the account determination?
