OBIEE 11g Agent Report one env to another

Hi Guys,
we currently moved our PROD server to 11.1.1.7.1 (Fresh installation and just moved the catalog and RPD) it is working fine.
But in the old server we scheduled more than 100 agents but in the new server we are not getting get any alert....
so can you please advice me on how to enable all the Scheduled reports in current server at once instead of manually enabling agents one by one....
we have tried with single agent it is working fine but we need to run all the old agents.

You didn't say anything about old server like 10g or 11g. First of all the agents will not get disabled automatically from one version to another (11g) how did u migrated ..it should be archive or un-archive or through catalog manager?

Open BIPlatform schema and run below query to see how many are enabled if you have any 0 records update the flag to 1 and see whether agents are enabled (testing purpose do it for 1)
select * from s_nq_acct where disable_flg >0 ;

    I have a dashboard page with multiple reports. One of the reports has Action Links to drill to another report. When I view the dashboard as a web page, the report with the Action Links look fine. The link fields are colored blue. When I send this dashboard page as an HTML email, it shows the Action Link report name in the cell with the other data.
    The dashboard page sent out as an agent should look the same as the web page and the Action Link report name should not be visible.
    Any ideas?

    So you spoofed the values of the 2nd column to have the report act almost like a menu listing?
    if that's the case then check the data type of column 2, it should be set to HTML. Then you will just need to build your HTML tag within the column formula.
    Example below bins the year name into a Link HTML Tag:

  • Export Financial reports from one env. to another

    Hi,
    I have a question regarding Hyperion FR export.
    Is it possible to export a set of reports at once from one env. to another.
    I'm able to export and import one report at a time..Just wondering, how's this going to work if we have huge number of reports to be exported.

    Just curious to know the reasons for changing the connections. There are a couple of ways to manage different scenarios
    1. Are you migrating from one environment to the next (ie: Test to Production).
    Setup the connections in the Database Connection Manager with the same "DATABASE CONNECTION NAME" in both the Test and Production environment (the underlying application and database for each connection would correspond to the appropriate Test/Production server/Application:Database). Then when you export and import between the 2 environments there is no need to change the connections on the report.
    2. Are you changing connections because your database changes monthly/quarterly/annually?
    In the database connection manager setup a general "DATABASE CONNECTION NAME" like Production or Active or Current. Then each month/quarter/year go to the Database Connection Manager and Edit the Production connection to point to the new application:database and all reports that use that connection will change as well.
    This may not help you current situation but it is helpful in managing reports going forward as they are developed and updated.

  • OBIEE 11g agents are failed to connect to Essbase

    OBIEE 11g agents are failed to connect to Essbase. We are using :USER & :PASSWORD (SSO) in connection pool setting to connect to Essbase.
    User account exists in both OBIEE and Essbase. OBIEE dashboards which are based on Essbase are working fine. Essbase variables in RPD are upto date.
    Only agents are failing and error says invalid credentials, but dashboard pages are running without any issue.
    OBIEE: 11.1.1.5 (BP4)
    Essbase: 11.1.2.1
    Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
    State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 96002] Essbase Error: Login fails due to invalid login credentials (HY000)
    Essbase and OBIEE services are up and running.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    We finally implemented CSS Token option and ended up with this error. We are unable to connect to essbase with CSS Token option.
    We followed the Oracle document to implement this.
    [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: EPMCSS-00301: Failed to authenticate user. Invalid credentials. Enter valid credentials. (HY000)
    We did update this property:
    JAVA_PROPERTIES="-Dplatform.home=${WL_HOME} -Dwls.home=${WLS_HOME} -Dweblogic.home=${WLS_HOME} -Didstore.identityAttribute=objectguid"
    Any help will be appreciated!

  • OBIEE 11g Agent

    Hello Forum, hopefully I am asking this question in the correct forum.  We are running OBIEE 11g on a UNIX server.  One of our Developers manually ran an Agent through the OBIEE Analytics front-end.  Then, shortly later, he asked if I could stop the Agent.  Can anyone tell me if this is possible and, if so, how to do so?

    If choose use analysis from agent (Get Recipients from the Analysis Used in the Agent Condition), getting the following error otherwise (Select Recipients with email address) will complete successfully

    I am sending the mails succesfully But i am receiving below error....
    Eventually succeeded, but encountered and resolved errors...
    Number of skipped recipients: 0 of 1
    AgentID: /shared/SSystem Administration/26APRAGENT
    Device (dashboard) is not set in (Userid) delivery profile.
    Please suggest me if i missed anything

    Steps to configure device..
    After login into analytics....click on ur username u used to login and select My Account..there u can Add email..
    As for as i know u can do this only if u are sending ibots to few users...

    I have a requirement to put "Recent Report" of a user in a Custom built Dashboard. I know this functionality is available in OBIEE 11g home page. But our requirement is to put the same sections in few Custom Dashboards. Please let me know if this is possible

    Ya i think it is comming due to null data, just restrict the data by specifying not null prompt or specific condition in the associate column Isnull(attribte,0)

  • OBIEE 11G PDF reports not aligned

    Hi,
    When exporting a detail report from OBIEE 11G dashboard to PDF the alignment of the reports gets altered. Is there a way to control it? The Excel output seems to be OK, but the same report when exported to PDF gets misaligned. I do not have Adobe writer, only reader installed.
    Please help. Thanks for your time and help.

    Do this:
    1) In the Section properties of your pivot tables, (the finger that is in the big gray area of the pivot table), click on the finger, then "Additional Formatting options," and make the width 100%.
    2) In the same way, for Tables, click on Table properties, "Additional Formatting Options," and make the width 100%.
    This will make sure that everything aligns to the same width.

  • URGENT: How to selectively migrate composite instances and task data from one env to another

    Gurus,
    We've come across a situation whereby we need to migrate instance data (including Human Task related) of some specific composites from one environment to another.
    (Environment is equivalent here to a different domain installation on different physical server.)
    Is this possible in some standard way like using Oracle import-export utility or script?
    If not, how can this be achieved?

    Hi,
    If your SharePoint environment supports InfoPath Forms, then you can customize the form and add rules to make the list items as read only when user A submits the form.
    you can then write a form load event to check the logged in user using username() function. This logic can be implemented in variety of ways, like setting a flag when User A submits the form, or storing user A username in a form variable etc., else comparing
    User A and User B values within form Load event.
    Another way of doing this is using Views or grouping all of the User A fields within a section etc.,
    The above would take care of Form logic, and for the workflow, you can use SharePoint designer to create a custom workflow, where it will run on onItemCreate and onItemChange events.
    The logic for workflow would be if the form Submitted for the first time, the workflow will start and send an email to User B, and when User B submits the Data then onItemChange change event will start the workflow to send an email to approver to approve
    the data.

  • OIM11gR2 BP3 - Migration of GTC from one env to another

    Hello All,
    I'm trying to export a GTC from my Dev env to another env.
    I did export the GTC via Deployment Manager by choosing the Generic Connector option.
    I've selected all the dependencies like Resource Object, IT Resource, IT Resource Type, ApplicationInstance, Scheduled Tasks, etc.

    But the import fails with an error message:
    Import Failed for entity: 'UM_GTC' which is of type: 'Application Instance'. with the following error message:
    Resource with key 0 does not exist

    Questions:
    a) Is there a specific procedure to migrate a GTC ?
    b) Should I export some specific objects before others?

    Hi
    General procedure is to zip all the java & xml page files and copy to dev instance. Then you can write a shell script to extract the zipped files and place it in appropriate locations.
    If there are any AOL objects defined by you, then you need to include that in shell script

    I have to copy an user profile from DEV to SIT.
    It has so many components. I have copied the following components from DEV to SIT. but i am getting an access errors. could you please help me find out what am i missing?. I also tried by deleting user1.atr on Target Server.

    Did one any of you started development work on 11g? If so have you created Union reports in 11g?
    I am facing two issues afte creating Union reports.
    1.I am unable to sort the columns. (Report is automatically sorted according to alphabatical order)
    2. I am unable to create New calculation Item.

  • Move agents from one OEM to another..

    Hi!
    I have installed a OEM12c test server and added targets manually to that test server. We want to keep that test server for future testing for pilot users. So we have installed a new OEM12c server that we want to use in out production environment. Is there a way to transfer the targets from the test server to the new prod server? Or do I have to add all the targets manually one more time?
    I understand that this means that the agents have to change hosts.. but I dont know if it works.

    At the moment you can't, as was possible in EM 10/11g, point the agent to the new OMS. See EM 12c : How to Point Existing 12c Agent to New OMS ? => Change Location of OMS and Repository of 12c Agent [ID 1490457.1]

  • How to use CLOB in OBIEE 11g (11115) Reporting

    Hello All,
    I have a CLOB object. I need to use that in the report.
    It just has text only. I defied it in RPD as LONGVARCHAR or OBJECT but it did not work out.
    I tried using evaluate with TO_CLOB but i am getting below error any time
    inconsistent datatypes: expected - got CLOB at OCI call OCIStmtExecute. [nQSError: 17010] SQL statement preparation failed.
    Please give me a clue how to use a CLOB column in report.
    I see a rittmen blog which is using as LOOKUP but i dont have that option either.
    Please let me know what wrong i am doing.

  • Passing filters to hyperlinks in BI Publisher-Obiee 11g integrated report

    Hi,
    I've a report requirement to build a BIP report in integration with OBIEE.
    In my dashboard, I've a dashboard prompt, obiee reports and a BIP report.
    BIP report contains hyperlinks (created in template builder) which direct me to the obiee report pages.
    Now, when u apply the prompts, BIP report filters the data accordingly and displays it in the same page. (OBIEE reports also gets filtered accordingly).
    After this, when I click on the hyperlinks it takes me to the obiee page which is NOT filtered according to the prompt.
    So I would like to know how do I use the filters in these links?
    Can I please get some help on how to make this work? This is an urgent requirement!

    Hi,
    You can try these steps
    On the BI Publisher 11.1.1.5, Go to Administration --> System Maintenance --> Server Configuration. Under the catalog heading,Test Connection. If the connection is successful, then click on the button Upload to Bi Presentation Catalog".
    After the above step you should be able to see your folder under catalog.
